a red rose = passion, love, lust, ecstasy
a pink rose = compassion, affection, loyalty, happiness
a purple rose = respect, serene, spiritual, gratitude
a blue rose (I know that doesn't exist, but I wish it did...) = royalty, independence, leadership, wisdom
a black rose (This, too.) = heartbroken, hate, evil, death
