"We may have to set the forest on fire." Zane said grimly. It wasn't a particularly good option, but it was better than nothing, unless Nowe or Kiri came up with something better.

While the masked team of genin was trapped by Kohane's genjutsu, Tayu reappeared and started looking through their pouches and things. She pulled a scroll from the pocket of the genin who'd thrown the shuriken. "Damn. An Earth scroll." She pocketed it anyway and started climbing up the trunk of another tree, sending chakra to the soles of her feet to climb without needing her hands. "Come on, let's get out of here before these guys break free."

"Well at lest we have a spare." Kikou said trying to look at the bright side and started to move away away.
The three ninja's jumped over the wind. "Spread them and then thin them out." Brume said as he started to move ahead of the other two separated to flank the ninja's.

"Yup." Tayu continued up the tree, Kita easily balancing on her shoulder although she was completely perpendicular to the ground. She got to a branch and crouched, waiting for her teammates to join her.

 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Kirinata backed up, gesturing to Nowe and Zane to turn back to back with her, forming a protective triangle. They weren't really sure what they were up against, putting them on the defensive - Something she didn't like. "You know what Zane? I would rather burn the forest down than die to save the trees. Personally, I like to think that my life is worth more than a tree." She told him with a smirk, trying to keep upbeat though she didn't like their position. "Let's see what we've got though." She said, her gray eyes scanning the trees as they'd been all along.  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Nowe rolled his eye's, "I think that would be a little drastic." He said, but smiled none the less. As he took his position with this teammates, he had an idea. "Guy's, get ready to hide." he said, pulling out a smoke bomb. He planned on switching them out with Shadow clones, hoping to draw out the attacks and positions of the other ninja's through that method.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "If you got a plan that doesn't involve us getting beaten or killed, I'm all ears." Kirinata told him, not turning to look. "Whatever it is, let's do it. It's bound to be better than the mass destruction I have in mind." She said with a chuckle, waiting on Nowe's signal to hide or the enemies appearance - Whichever came first. She held her twin fans at the ready, open and waiting. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Having caught the men in the jutsu the true danger behind kohane could finally be seen. Giving a few toots of the flutes the men she had trapped in the genjutsu began getting cuts over there bodies. Each cut tho was in a specific location making it where they wouldn't be able to run preventing them from taking chase. Each cut tho was clean allowing the ability to get them healed. "Blood stained blossoms" she muttered as a few more cuts appeared on the men's bodies before she gave a snap of her fingers. When she did this the genjutsu broke each man droping to the ground.
Hopping away from them Kohane quickly caught up to her teammates hoping in a way they hadn't seen what she had done. She didn't like using her kekkei genkai but she had learned to control it and be very precise on using it. Tho it had not started out so easily and had nearly killed a man once using it so she simply did small cuts most of the times.
(I love this characters kekkei genkai. If your caught in her genjutsu it's really gonna hurt ^_^)

Nowe smiled and threw down the smoke bomb. Quickly, he doved into hiding place while performing handsigns. A few seconds later, the three gennin were seen escaping from the smoke screen, running through the tree's.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... As the smokebomb exploded, Kirinata followed Nowe's example by diving into the bushes. She rolled for a second then lay flat, watching from beneath the bushes as the smoke began fading. She was silent, knowing that speaking could ruin the whole plan - whatever that was. She smirked though, seeing the "genin" running from the cover of the smoke screen. Silently, she gave Nowe a thumb's up for his idea. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Zane had dove for the hole he had been dragged into and slammed and focused his chakra into his feet and hands to keep him stuck to the ground. He had also made sure to cover himself with a disguise cloak to make it look like he was just part of the scenery. I love these things. Zane thought with a smile.

Tayu had seen what Kohane did, but she didn't let on. It didn't matter anyway. This part of the chunin exams was about survival, and hurting others was a part of that if it helped your team.
Chinatsu ran over to her teammate. "C'mon, Menendo, let's get going. Don't want any other genin getting their scrolls and to the tower first."
