Grayback Keenblade




Grayback walked over and gently checked their pulses before removing his sheath and short cape. He used the scabbord as a sort of seat and the cape to tie it comfortably around his chest, the seat besting below his mid-back. He gently hoisted the woman he now knew to be Jenni and positioned her to be as comfortable as possible in the make-shift sling, her arms around his shoulders to keep her form falling backwards. He lifted the smaller assassin into his arms and cradled her gently, grimacing at the blood seeping through the bandages on her right leg. How could I let my hate control me enough to hurt her? Jenni is right, I should not have done that... Grayback hissed at himself and began to swiftly walk to the underground mines he had found outside of Giza a few days ago, knowing that it would be safe.

Endymion Calmwind




Endymion remained with his sister and her student to watch Riley after the other five left, frowning as a strange nagging bothered him greatly. He could hear some odd chatter on the wind-stream, but he shook his head to clear it. Endymion glanced at Corvin and tapped his shoulder, to get his attention. "Cory, we are going to escort Riley back to the bar now. I don't like him here without Jo-Jo and Jennifer. Please remain here. If you do, I'll make you a cake~!" He whispered playfully into his ear and nudged the others into leaving.

As they walked back, Riley on his shoulders, he picked up a few words from the wind chatter and said to Riley in an excited whisper, "Riley, we're going to play a game, okay? It's called 'Giggle Ball Toss'. We are going to toss you to each other, but all you do is keep your eyes closed until we say so, okay?"

The excited nod was a good sign and he said, "Ready? Close those eyes Riley~! Set?" He gave the others a firm look and they understood. There were assassins nearby and they were going to toss the child to prevent him from being injured. Kyle nodded and flipped a bit away, Golda spinning away from the man and child as well, making the group a harder target as a whole. "Go~! And we're off~!" He said and bounced his shoulders, throwing the now giggling boy into the air and catching him in his hands, spinning around to avoid a sword strike and gently tossing him to Golda. "Traa-la-la-la~!" Isn't this fun? Now you see why it's called 'Giggle Ball'~!" He said and stabbed a man in the throat to kill him silently.

Yuno Ironbeak




Yuno felt his face lose all color, and the shock almost made him open his eyes without his sister there. He stumbled around slightly, trying to find the boy and check him. He was shocked that Mina hand't come to him already to help him. "Mina? Mina, I need you to help me see! Mina!" He called out, and fell to the floor after slipping in blood. He knew that it wasn't his, and it wasn't Isaac's, which only left one person. "Isis! MINA! I NEED TO SEE NOW!" He yelled in fear, trying to call his hawk to him. He needed to get an assestment of Issac's injuires, and what the place looked like. He wouldn't subject the boy to his gaze. "Isaac, where's Mina?" He asked, and felt something soft under his right hand. Something soft, light, and smooth.

Yuno Ironbeak




Yuno bit his lower lip and slowly opened his left eye first, then his other eye shot open at the sight of Mina, her left wing almost ocmpletely shot off, and two holes in her body. He felt like screaming, but he couldn't. He had lost the animal that had been his company for almost six years now. Mina had been his family when he was away from Giza to meet Joey. He felt like his world was slowly coming apart brick by brick. Mina was dead, Isis was injured and missing, and he could sense the other two also in a struggle. He trembled as he held the bird to his chest and then kissed her feathered head softly and set her down to look at Isaac. "I-isaac, I have... I have to look at you, okay? I'm going to help you figure out where things are so you don't trip. Can you trust me?" He asked the boy, not wanting to make this any more difficult that it already was for them both.

"I want to help you so we can get Isis back, okay? I'll go with you, I'm sure Joey will understand. Isaac, We're going to get her back Isaac. I don't care if I lose my damn eyes, we are getting her back." He told the boy, gently petting his head as Isis had done for him. He had found the viera's action strangely soothing, and hoped it would help her brother.

Riley was loving this new game his friends were teaching him. Jennifer had never let him play games like this before! He laughed in delight as Golda threw him to Kyle, and suddenly felt impatient. He wanted to see what was going on. What was the fun of flying around if you couldn't see? "Kyle, can I open my eyes now?"

Riley nodded quickly at the mention of a prize. "Okay!" he said with a laugh as he was thrown into the air again, clapping his hands over his eyes to make sure he didn't even peek accidentally.

Jennifer groaned and clutched her head as she woke up. "Nngh... God... What happened?" She remembered Jo-Jo and Grayback fighting on the street, and then... The deal! Grayback had knocked out both of them. Jennifer felt tears welling up in her eyes, making her headache worse.

"Jo-Jo," she whimpered, opening her eyes to complete darkness. She was lying on what felt like a dirt floor. Her location confused her. Hadn't Grayback left her lying in the street? What had he done to her? Was she blind now?! "Hello? Anyone?" she called in a trembling voice.
