Decided I don't want to see the lines anymore an went ahead and base toned the whole thing.

I'd nearly forgotten the inspiration for my character, but after rewatching some box sets I realized Kaori's design was finalized as a short character directly because of this:



Well not the image directly, but Komoe sensei in her bunny jammies. Decided not to include the chain smoking and drinking in her personality. Kai kinda serves as reason enough on why it's bad being an alcoholic.

Finally got her hair done.

Now I'm trying to decide if I want to keep the tail as part of her design or eliminate it entirely since it's only still there because it was part of Kai's character when he would wear the outfit, but I'm starting to doubt its relevancy to Kaori.

.... I honestly didn't even notice she had a tail...

I have one! *reaches back and grabs her tail by the end and pulls it forward to present it* See see. It's attached to my, ah... cat_redface backside and everything. I'm just worried about my character having too many conflicting themes in the design.

I'm thinking about doing time line illustrations for Kaori and show her progressing as a teen and adult while giving her clothing designs that reflect those stages since I don't think it would be terribly interesting to just change her proportions by itself.

Moving on now or rather back to the other project. Got the wings done now the only thing left in the rough draft is the sword itself. Everything else can be rendered directly in color.
