At Kuori's mention of her being further whisked away, the girl would look up at her in surprise. "N-no! You can't take me away! If you take me any further I will scream. I'm not supposed to, but I will, and it will hurt all of you!" By now the tears were rolling down the girl's cheeks.

As Revenge approaches the girl, Valac can feel whatever was on her back under her cloak shift. Now that he was closer, Revenge could make out a few more details about the girl that the others had observed before. She had pure white skin, clawed fingers, red eyes and sharp, shark-like teeth Tufts of black hair stuck out from under her hood but the rest of her was obscured by her large, baggy cloak. After he asked his questions, she would respond. "My... my name is Vivian. I just want to go home. I'm sorry I bit people. Just please let me go!"

Once Twyla spoke up again, the girl would hesitate to answer, but in the end seemed to trust her as she responded. "I... I was asked to observe you... by my father, he didn't tell me why. I followed you here, where you met that guy over there, and you guys talked about stuff I really don't understand other than those two people used to know each other and you guys want to get out of town and away from these Aria people you keep talking about. That's all I know, honest. It was hard to keep sneaking back and forth through that door as you kept going in and out of it. Now, please let me go home before my father gets worried."

Twyla would laugh at Revenge's comment. "Oh, come on, there's always time to meet someone new! Especially someone so interesting! And Arthur said we have hours. But no, she's not a prisoner, just someone whose viewpoint we really, really, REALLY wanted to hear."

She listened to the girl, paying close attention to her. "Aww, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to freak you out... But could you tell us just a little more? Who's your father? Does he work with Aria? And where's home, generally speaking?"

She would drop her voice all of sudden, and lean in close. "It's okay if you don't want everyone to hear. I know some scary stuff has been done to you by them, but you can trust me. I love a good mystery, but I hate violence; I'll make sure nothing bad happens to you, no matter what you have to tell us."

"Hello, Vivian. It is very nice to meet you," Revenge would say. He would smile, but it would be obvious it was forced... no, it was more accurate to say it didn't match the look his eyes gave, which were those of concern.

"I suspect..." he would say, standing up from his kneeling position, "... that we'd learn the answers to those if we escorted her back home. Vivian... you're not from around here, are you? If you were, you wouldn't have to be invisible to observe us, you could just blend in with other townsfolk and listen in."

He would turn and look back at Abby for a moment, then turn back to the girl. "Would you like me to escort you back to your father? Or maybe just Twyla here? To make sure nothing else bad happens to you. I think if all of us did, it might give your father a bad impression that you did something bad, and got all of us angry. I wouldn't want you to be punished for a misunderstanding."

((Twyla does not feel like Vivian is lying to her, but she is definitely being vague on the details. She gets the feeling the girl is telling them just enough to convince them to let her go.))

Vivian looks around at everyone surrounding her. She seems reluctant to speak any further, but she sighs and answers the question. "My... my father's an alchemist... People sometimes call him Tristan. He works for a lot of different people and we are constantly moving. Now put me down before I scream!"

When Revenge mentioned escorting her home she looked at him in surprise. "What? No, just let me go! The only people doing anything to me is you guys!"

Vivian suddenly begins to struggle again and this time manages to wiggle out of Valac's grasp and shift to his side, shedding her cloak in the process. Now, without her cover, the more monstrous details of the girl could be seen. She wore plain shorts and a wrap around her chest. Her feet were bare and clawed just like her hands. Her black hair was long and wild looking. Protruding from her back were not one, but two sets of small, feathery wings. Several arcane looking tattoos decorated her body, but one tattoo on her stomach looked strangely similar to the one Valac bore on his chest.
Around her waist she had a belt that contained some glass vials.

Vivian looked around in fear now that she was exposed. People on the street were definitely beginning to take notice of her and the rest of the group. Vivian would turn and begin to try and run away.

Kuori smiled and said, "Then you just answered everything that we needed to know. Tristian the alchemist who supplies Aria and is living in Abby's old house. I am betting that this little one was upstairs receiving the messenger bird while we talked to her dad. He is probably helping us because his daughter is one of the ones that was taken for the experiment. I guess its good that they were reunited though."

(Assuming 21 is enough to grab her.)

"Not so fast!" Valac exclaimed his hand darting out, grabbing the girl by the scruff of her neck. Then in one quick motion Valac lifts her slightly off her feet spinning her around to conceal her with his own body and putting the cloak back round her with the other hand.

"One last question and I think I'm owed one from your bite earlier. What do you know about the sigil on your stomach?"

Valac, with his quick reflexes, manages to grab Vivian before she can get away. She seemed rather surprised to be caught so suddenly and exclaimed in protest. "Ah, come on! Just let me go already. I told you all I know! People aren't supposed to see me!"

When Valac asked his question, Vivian would look up at him in confusion. Apparently that was not a question she was expecting to be asked. "It's just a tattoo. I... I've always had it, at least as far as I can remember. What does it matter to you?"

Unbuckling a few of the straps on the side of his hide armour with his free hand Valac would peel it away to reveal his own sigil.

"It matters to me." Growled Valac rebuckling his armour.

"A lot."

Vivian would look at Valac's tattoo but not seem to draw any significance from it. "So? We have a similar tattoo. What does it matter? I answered your question now so put me down!"

Disappointed at the girls answer Valac dropped her and said "Fine, sod off then."

Kuori will shake her head at Valac. "Arthur, go get your things, we'll drop of Vivian with her Dad, have a nice chat, and get on the road. Maybe get us some potions, or at least make friends with a potions master who may need help."

"I think that would be a great idea," Twyla would say. "But maybe her dad wouldn't appreciate her being caught... I don't want to get her in trouble. If we let her head home with a head start, then show up after she returns, then we don't have to let her dad know she talked to us."

She would demur to Vivian. "Does that sound okay to you? We won't mention you if you don't want us to, and we certainly won't hurt your dad."

After being let go of by Valac, Vivian would fall to the ground with a thump. She would hastily get to her feet, re-don her cloak and stick her tongue out at Valac. "Jerk, that's what I've been trying to do this whole time, but you guys wouldn't let me."

When Kuori and Twyla made their statements she would respond. "Just leave me and my father alone, all right? We got nothing to do with you. Don't try to follow me!"

Now that she was free, Vivian would reach into her cloak and pull out a vial and promptly drink it. She disappears from sight once more and this time it seems she chose to be stealthy when making her getaway as no evidence of her running away of can be observed.

Once she was gone Arthur would sigh. "Something about her story doesn't add up. As far as anyone knew, Tristan didn't have any family. I still don't trust him."

Petra would interject, "Still, whether she remembers it or not, Vivian is one of us and he must have gotten her out of there somehow. Perhaps he knows a way to get out more people!"

Abby would chime in. "I feel we must still be cautious, but there is definitely something to be learned here. We should at least talk with this individual before we leave town. It seems if he wanted to betray us he would have already done so when he observed Petra."

Arthur would sigh once more. "Very well, I will get my stuff and meet you at Tristan's house. From there, I'll get us out the front gate. Everyone stay safe until then." Arthur would hug Petra and whisper something into her ear before setting off at a brisk pace; still, he had seemed quite reluctant to leave Petra's side.

Revenge would groan. "This feels a lot like a trap, or at the very least a distraction," he would say aloud to no one in particular. "I don't want to forsake anyone, but is this really an avenue we can afford to travel down? Arthur confirmed that the sands of the hourglass are dwindling away, and we're not going to save anyone if we're all..."

He would pause.

"... if we fall victim to Aria."

Though he would turn his gaze towards Valac. "Unless that girl holds any significance to you, Valac? You seem somewhat ruffled by her."
