Mala giggled in delight, feeling utterly giddy. "That alone is an honor enough for me!" She could hardly keep from squeeling as she showered Van with kisses. "This calls for celebration! We should finally drink some of that one King's stolen wine we were saving from awhile back!"

"Clearly we don't celebrate things as often as we should. How long have we been holding onto that stuff again?" Van asked as he went to fetch the bottle. He'd comment that it was a little early to be drinking, but how could he say no when Mala was this excited?

"Normally, we're too busy trying to stop the magical appocalypse or whatever latest enemy we have from killing us all." Mala answered with a soft chuckle.

{Bump.}

"I think it's more like whatever a*****e wants to usurp me and/or claim you for his own." Van said as he poured them a couple of champaign glasses.

"If they knew how much of a nag I could be, then they'd probably have left us alone long ago." Mala joked, knowing full well that neither Atius nor sex-demon cared about a woman's personality.

((Isn't it glorious? XD And you gotta love the sole comment on that video. "no comment available. damn straight."))

"Even if they did change their mind about you, I'd still have to rough them up for an insult like that. Gotta protect my wife's honor and what not." Van said with a smile as he handed Mala her glass.

{Very much so. XDD On both accounts.}

"You're such a gentleman." Mala chuckled, pecking Van quickly on the cheek after taking her glass of wine.

"Now there's a thought." Van said as the gears in his head began to turn. "If it's a comeback the pantheon wants, then I need to pull out all the stops; find the biggest, richest target I can find and maybe take the gentleman thief approach for a change." he said with a grin as he brought his free hand up as if wrapping himself in an invisible cape.

((Oh, and I think I managed to pass my recent art history test because I'd been to several of the locations you can visit in Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood. XD ))

Mala smirked. "It's time those old fogies learned that you are and always will be the best thief of all time." she replied, eager to see Van's skills in action. And, being Mala, the celebration they'd have after the successful stunt.

((And, reading that poor wording of mine, I mean I basically went 'I remember that place! I've been there as Ezio! 8D' sweatdrop And who says video games aren't educational? XD ))

"Of course, us being the hermit family we are, I wouldn't know where to begin looking for a fat pocket to steal from." Van said with a slight frown.

"Then perhaps it's time we brought ourselves back into society, hmm?" Mala replied, grinning ever so broadly still.

"I smell a world tour in our future." Van said, a mischievous smile creasing his lips from behind his champaign glass. "Oh, but wait. What are we going to do about Senel and Anise?"

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Kai's been away for too long. So has Riley. We should try to get one of them to babysit them for a little while, maybe." Mala suggested with an impish smile. She had been writing Riley plenty as of late, mostly just stories of how Anise's and Senel's antics were driving her crazy as of late and how she wished he'd visit more. Kai, however, she hadn't really been able to contact.

"Ah, the 'family responsibility' card. He always hates that one." Van said as his smile returned, but only faintly. "Of course....knowing him....and knowing Senel these days....I fear we'd come home to either a fierce rivalry of some sort, or a horrible partnership."
