Hearing that Ronyo had so much in common with him actually put a smile on Colton's face. He hadn't expected that to happen so soon, if at all, and it gave him a sense of a new beginning. At that thought, Colt realized quite abruptly that he was at a fork in the road. Surrounded by so many strangers, he would usually keep to himself and let friendship come to him...if he accepted it, that is. However, Colton could hear his parents taunts circling in his head, that he would be the first of the family in Slytherin because of his rough personality that seemed to be most harsh during first impressions.

Letting his shoulders slouch a bit and scratching his head with a relaxed arm, Colton looked back over to Ronyo, a sincere expression on his face. "I'm sorry to hear that." His voice was still stern, but the change in his posture was a breakthrough alone. He allowed himself to laugh rather heartily at the boy's response about a wizard joining the Marines. "That would be something, wouldn't it?" He joked back a bit, rather than going into the reasoning behind why he really wanted to join. The idea had always been appealing, but ever since his father was honorably discharged for losing a leg, Colton felt as if he owed it to him to finish out what he started.

Levana came out of the train with a wide smile on her face. On her robe a shiny pin was placed with the words prefect written on it. When she and her brother had received a letter stating they both had become prefect they could not have been any more excited. Their father, who was now going to be a professor, was practically glowing with pride at this. Looking around levana was surprised at the large amount of first years.

"Sure looks like more than last year" she said to herself but the smile never faded. Her eyes continued to search the sea of firsties when it stopped on Charon. Could a small little break really do so much to ones looks? The boy was handsome, incredibly so. She wondered who the girl was that was with him. She seemed young and judging by how he spoke with her it looked like it was his sister. Feeling a little nervous she decided to go and try and speak with him again. When she was a bit behind him she spoke softly but just loud enough for him to hear "charon"

Nevin had separated from his sister when the train had finally come to a stop. He didn't find Bailey when he had gotten on the train so now he was in a made dash to locate her before the group was to head to the castle. His plan was to surprise her with the prefect pin that was now shining brightly on his robes. Of everyone in his house he thought of becoming prefect he was definitely the last person he thought they'd choose. What made it better was that even his sister was chosen.

████████████████████████ █████ █████ ████████████████████████

Lucy Elizabeth Bonks felt a light, yet sudden quiver as the scarlet Hogwarts Express halted after a long, tiring journey. The blonde Gryffindor had spent most of the trip sleeping, her head resting on Oz's comfortable shoulder, or reading. This year would be a tough one, due to the O.W.Ls comping up. Thanks to her best friend's help, Lucy worked hard throughout the ended summer. After all, Tamara had passed her exams successfully, as far as she was aware of, but she was still experienced. Despite her studies, Lucy's summer nights were sleepless. Either she was hanging out with Dementors Ate My Baby, Oz's band, or chatting with Tammy, or simply diverted by insomnia. Unlike her previous summers, on the streets or under a roof, this summer, the young Gryffindor was unable to close her eyes to get some rest. She spent the night listening to music, revising or lullabying herself to sleep, fruitlessly. The dark orbs under her silvery eyes were therefore covered by black cosmetics, causing the young girl to change her image once more.

But nothing really changed. She was simply a tad taller, and thinner, but her white face was still the same, only her eyes, as mentioned before, were surrounded by black maquillage, covering the shadowy circles under her eyes. Otherwise the Gryffindor was always the same old self. As usual, Lucy changed into a grey skirt and white shirt, pulling over it a grey jumper with the emblem of her House on it. Her hair, now longer and bleached, were straightened and framing her face. But other than that, nothing else was new with Lucy.

Stirring, Lucy, who usually never displayed weariness of any sort, covered her light yawn with a tired hand. Regardless of her nap, the girl was still fatigued for no visible reasons. She stood up and stretched her arms above her head, letting out another yawn. Pantalaimon, her fellow companion ever since her childhood, hopped onto her shoulder, curling up around her neck like a scarf as she grabbed her pile of books and looked towards Oz and Tammy, waiting for the both of them to stand up and get out of the cabin. The unspoken question was answered by a nod and an idle wave of the hand. Lucy sorrowfully bowed her head and began to march out of the compartment. Tamara and Oz seemed to spend an awful lot of time together since the last school year. What if they - no, that's just a silly thought. A weak chuckle escaped the girl's lips as she jumped off the train, giving her Head of House a faint wave before elbowing her way through the crowd of excited first years and joyous elders. She flashed a small smile to the newest students that were looking her way and continued walking, clutching to her grimoires. She still hasn't stolen a glimpse of Preston, another close friend of hers, nor Indala, who seemed to have disappeared all of a sudden. Why was everyone leaving her? That feeling of isolation didn't feel good at all.

Lucy glanced around in hope to see someone to talk to. All her friends seemed so occupied, busying themselves by chatting to their classmates. Finally, the girl moved to carriages, gave the Thestral driving it a small pat on the head and dropped down onto a wooden bench, waiting for the coach to fill up to resume their return to the enchanted school.

Kaera couldn't help but laugh as her sister tugged her eagerly off the train. Ryn had stayed behind on the train, having waited just a bit too long to change into her school robes and was having to rush to do so now. Kaera's sister had been in hers almost from the beginning of the trip. For the few months leading up to this first day, Danielle had done nothing but talk about how excited she was to be able to attend Hogwarts. She had tons of questions, which wasn't unusual for her. Kaera had been worried that their father's death would discourage her younger sister, but Danielle had a way of being optimistic even in the most unsure of circumstances. Then again, it was also quite possible that she was too young to really understand what exactly had happened, and was therefore not as affected as Kaera herself.

Kaera watched her sister's antics, a smile spreading across her face as she reminisced about her first day attending the famed wizarding school. She had arrived on the Hogwarts Express with an entirely different demeanor. Understandable, since she had only a year earlier lost her father. So many things had led up to where she was now. A fourth year, ready to take on whatever was thrown at her. She returned the excited hug her sister gave her, laughing. "Dani, I know you're going to love it here." She smiled, kissing the top of her sister's head before releasing her from the embrace.

Looking up, Kaera spotted a very familiar face weaving in and out of the crowd. She was sure the boy was looking for her cousin, and waved at him with a large grin set across her face. She called out to him, hoping her voice would carry over the excited hum of the students. "Tyler! Over here!" Looking back down at Danielle, she pointed towards the tall lady holding a lantern around which a group of what appeared to be first years were gathered. "That's Eleanor Duke, the groundskeeper. Go over to her and introduce yourself. She'll take you where you need to go. I'll see you soon enough," she hugged her sister once again, giving her a last smile before releasing her to join her fellow first years. She watched Danielle move through the crowd towards the lady she had pointed out, anxious that she would have no control from this moment on over where her sister's path at Hogwarts would take her. Swallowing her anxieties, she glanced back over to see if Tyler had heard her and was headed her way.

Luke looked up as the train pulled to a halt and the scenery outside the window changed from trees and fields to a paved platform. He thoughtlessly swirled the lollipop in his mouth around before he stood up and gathered his things before exiting the now empty compartment. He slung his satchel over his shoulder as he made his way down the hall to one of the open train doors and casually stepped out on to the platform. He looked around as he switched his sucker from cheek to cheek absentmindedly thinking how nice the evening was tonight.
He could see that most of the other occupants of the train were beginning to find their way to where it was they need to be and those that hadn’t were mostly standing around talking to past friends or taking in the scenery. Luke walked forward to were a rather petite looking woman was drawling a crowd of anxious looking students around her and shouting something about first years. Must be the place he thought as he stopped a little off from the group and turned around to look at the train. It indeed was a splendid thing to be here this year, away from that place to a new home where he wouldn't have to worry so much. Luke let out a sigh as he turned back around towards the group. He made his way to the woman and gave her a half smile "ello", Luke said as he pulled the lollipop from his mouth. "I'm Luke. Luke Wilfred Tangium", he told her as he looked off to the side at the great lake. He didn't wait for her to reply or to acknowledge him before he sidestepped her, put his lollipop back in his mouth, and sat cross legged on the ground at the edge of the group, and looked up at the moon. There was never this clear a sky at his house he thought as he stared up at the sky.

Letting go of her sister, Danielle smiled and made her way over to the lady holding a lantern that Kaera had said was the Hogwarts groundskeeper. Mrs. Duke? Yes, that was the name. She certainly hoped what her sister had said was true. She wanted to see Kaera again very soon. Though, she supposed it was time that she began separating herself from her sister. She wouldn't have Kaera there to rely on forever.

As she reached the group of students that appeared her age, Danielle knew she was in the right place. The excitement held by the group of first years was nearly tangible, each of her peers no doubt anxious to get to the castle and see where they would be beginning their journey through the world of magic. Making her way through the students, she found herself in front of the very woman Kaera had pointed out.
"Hello, I am Danielle Frisk. You might know my sister, Kaera." She smiled politely, glancing up into the face of the woman. She seemed tired. Maybe it was just anxiety with the start of the new year. Danielle shrugged it off, turning towards her fellow first years and looking around. She kept the smile across her face, hoping to receive some in return and start up some conversation with who she would be spending the next seven years of her life with. Making friends was something that came naturally to Danielle, and so she was not worried when she did not immediately recognize any of the faces her eyes met.

Phi's face flushed furiously at his comment (making her hair look rather dull in comparison) and she gave a nervous laugh. She knew he was joking, there was of course no newsletter, and she smiled again to assure him she had got the joke.
She opened her mouth to retort and tell him she in fact liked his hair, but before she could, he seemed to already be in another conversation with another boy. That conversation seemed to be more interesting to the tall boy, so Phi turned back to her book and began reading again. Quite pleased with her effort to be social, even if it was not quite successful.

Over the increasing buzz of numerous first years that joined the growing circle, Phi could most distinctly hear names being stated. She quickly realized she had not introduced herself to the tall women, so without looking up from her book she called in what she hoped was a loud enough voice, "Phinelia von Ichval."

Woil gave a polite smile to Danielle and her sister and he politely held his hand to them. "Hello, I'm Woil, but you can call me Wally."
Screw this I'm having some fun!
Oh hell no your not.
He twitched a bit as he shook his head, dropping his hand, he held it. "Sorry... I have this twitch that never goes away." He said offering the hand once more.

¦¦Allen had been a bit occupied by the amount of owls and luggage he saw around him, making him a bit worried he was suppose to fetch his off the train.
Though, from the corner of his eye he noticed a boy shaking and slightly twitching. He turned around and saw him engaged in a conversation with a girl, Danielle and what seemed to be her sister. He didn't listen to what he was saying but he just noticed something a little odd and he observed with curiosity.

Bea dragged her trunk into a almost full compartment, her cat Ruben tagging along behind. Without bothering to ask if she was welcome or not, she pushed aside some of the other trunks and placed her's haphazardly onto the rack above.

She looked apologetically at the boy seated below her trunk, "you might want to watch out for the trunk, it might fall on your head."

Plonking down onto a seat, she stared around at the other people in the compartment, finally noticing their odd stares.

"What? Do I have something on my face?"

A few people shook their heads and returned to their conversations. The long hours after that passed without them really talking to her, mostly Bea paying attention to her cat.

When the Hogwarts Express finally pulled into Hogsmeade Station, Bea pulled her trunk off of the rack, and not paying any minds to the mutterings of the people in her compartment, moved onto the platform, Ruben held in one arm.

She looked around at the hustle and bustle, and noticed a boy that looked about her age in front of her staring at a conversation just out of her own sight. Bea tapped his shoulder.

"You a first year too?"

After the train had settled, and most of the other students had made their way to the platform, Blaire rose from his seat. He gathered his effects: a black, leather-bound journal, a peacock-feathered quill, and a copy of today's Daily Prophet, and returned them to a small, black satchel before rejoining the other students. The first year took a moment to survey his surroundings, taking notice of an older woman corralling the buzzing crowd. Must be the Groundskeeper. He continued toward her, inspecting each of his peers from head to toe with a cold, calculating eye. As he reached the group, Blaire's expression immediately changed, a bright smile lit his face as he proclaimed, "Hi, Blaire Frost." His voice was feminine, almost musical, and confident with a posh accent, adding a degree of arrogance to his tone. A sharp contrast to his warm demeanor as he brushed his blonde hair behind one ear, and moved his gaze from one student to another, still smiling pleasantly.

Allen blinked and felt a slight tap on his shoulder. He turned his head around and noticed another presumably first year; a girl with a kindly face and longish sandy hair.
He smiled and turned around fully. "Yep, first year. I think we all are," he looked around and smirked.
He offered his hand (which had been warmly set in his robes' pocket) and continued, "Allen Rhoddes, nice to meet -" His dark eyes had fallen on the cat she was holding in her arm. His fingers closed in a nervous fist and his arm pulled back on reflex. "Ah, cat." He looked into his eyes and felt a creep of annoyance for the creature bubbling inside.

Wide blue grey eyes watched the crowed from around her older brother's arm. The youngest Gaunt had been a ball of energy until now. Her nerves were finally getting to her and Daisy couldn't recall ever being this scared. Charon was calm like always. How did he do that? Had he been scared when he first came here? Gripping her brothers hand she smiled at him when he smiled at her. "Brother, do we have to go into the school in seperate ways? I don't wanna go without you." She said her voice soft in the loud crowd.

Daisy let out a small squeak of surprise when a voice appeared behind her brother and her. She turned looking up at the older girl. A hesitant smile crossed her face. Although the small girl didn't know her she couldn't help but smile. This must be one of her brother's friends.

The hisses in my ear:
Here we go again
What writhes within me: Exictment

Those entwined with me: Daisy, Levana

"Yes we do have to go separate ways. But don't worry. You'll like the boat ride. Trust me." Charon said ruffling his little sister's hair. She was so adorable he couldn't help but grin around her. Reaching down he scooped her into a hug and laughed a little when she protested. It was so strange having her here. Now he'd have to keep an eye out for anyone bothering her. They would regret messing with his little sister.

When a familiar voice behind him said his name he smiled. A small chuckle left him at Daisy's surprise. Turning around he was surprised to see just how much the Gryffindor had changed. "I believe that's lord Charon." He said with a chuckle. "Looks like someone's been good. Nice badge Levana. Before we get too much farther, Levana this is my younger sister Daisy. Daisy this is Gryffindor." Charon said a small smirk still on his face when he reverted to his old nickname for Levana. A lot of the water had been cleared between them last year and for the pale Slytherin he found it easier to be around her.
