Smack someone? Oh, that would be easy if she could move either of her arms to do that.
Henrietta's ear tingled and she said, "E-eunmi, I-I Ah-
Henrietta, in a last ditch effort to back away, took a step back but stepped on some mysteriously present Purrloin. Now, cat owners might recognize this habit of cats as 'laying wherever the ******** they want'.
The Purrloin proceeded to hiss and dart off, leaving Henrietta to fall backward as her footing disappeared.
This left Eunmi with three options. A. fall with Henrietta, B. somehow catch the other girl, or C. release her and let her fall.

Eunmi felt Henrietta's weight shifting as gravity pulled the girl to the ground. She released her grip on one of Henrietta's hands, the one closest to her, and caught the girl's back. By holding onto her other arm, Eunmi managed to keep some of the weight distributed enough to balance Henrietta and keep her from falling.
"Wow," Eunmi said. "You really are easy to take advantage of."
Eunmi pulled up on Henrietta's arm to get her back on her feet.

Thoroughly embarrassed, Henrietta's hands flew up to cover her bright red face. "I-i-i," she stuttered as she turned away from Eunmi.
"I-I'm s-s-s-s-sorry."

"Hey, hey. That was a bit far, even for me, I'm sorry," Eunmi said, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly. She took a step back, looking away. She didn't get quite as red as Henrietta, but she was more embarassed she had made Henrietta so uncomfortable.
"It's fine, we just... have a lot of work to do. I think in the mean time, maybe, I should keep an eye on you. You're too cute to be left alone.
"Not that my display just now as any cause for consolation."

Eunmi keeping an eye on her? She'd only been teasing though, right?
Right?
Of course, if it'd been someone actually creepy, she'd have had to do something by now, right? Or was she just trying to tell herself things now?
Henrietta shook her head, having confused herself.
She was no good at keeping people away, and it appeared that she'd started her journey at the same time as everyone else. Furthermore, it might be a good idea to keep someone around that'd protect her from certain people. Not that Eunmi wasn't borderline qualifying as one of those people.
So, Henrietta said, "n-n-n-no m-more t-teasing!"

"Yeah, yeah," Eunmi rose her hands up. "I'm sorry if I came off weird."
If she were completely honest, Eunmi just wanted to have a travel buddy so she didn't have to keep battling wild pokemon all the time. But also shopping. She loved shopping for herself, but it was also a ton of fun to dress up other people.
"So, that's not your natural hair color?"

"N-no," Henrietta said. Her hands lowered from her face and she caught a stand of hair between two fingers. Her eyes ran over the burgundy colored and she sighed.
"I-i don't think you can be born with burgundy hair," she said.

((You can't? gonk ))
"Looks cute, but I think it would look better if you had some highlights. Nothing too flashy, but just something subtle," Eunmi suggested. "You probably wouldn't wanna do something drastic like... blue or something."
Eunmi looked up for a second at her blue bangs. "Yeah.."

Nothing too flashy? Henrietta didn't want flashy at all! She wanted more of a not be noticed.
Course, she'd already screwed that up.
"H-hum," she said and she turned around to face Eunmi, her face still pretty red.
"M-maybe I-i should just let my hair grow back out," she said.

"You keep being so humble about everything and you'll just keep yourself in the same niche," Eunmi replied with a sigh.
"We don't have to jump the gun on anything," Eunmi said. "Anything we do to try and boost your self-confidence will still be your call."

"Hum..."
What would being more confident accomplish? Was it true and she was too cute to be left to her own devices?
Out in the wild?
Henrietta gulped.
She definitely didn't want to stand out any more than she did. Was there a way to look more confident without looking more attractive? What if she just threw on really baggy clothing to hide her features?
And wore a mask. An ugly, hideous mask.
It would be kind of rude to walk away from Eunmi to train, but that's what Henrietta needed to do. So, she said, "d-do you want to go train?"

"Oh hey, yeah," Eunmi said. "I have to work on my aim-"
"Osha...?"
"Oh and Dali's probably gotta work on that Fury Cutter attack. Hey, you'd be able to see if his technique is good, right?"

"Heh?" Eunmi froze.
"Osha!" Dali said, jumping up. He looked determined.
"Dali, you just got out of a pretty intense battle," Eunmi replied. "And we haven't gone to the Pokemon Center yet."
"Smear," D-Vee said, stepping forward and brushing Dali aside.
"You wanna battle?" Eunmi said, looking surprised. She didn't know if she had a chance of winning against Henrietta or not, but D-Vee made those chances impossible to read.

And so, it looked as if the battle challenge had been accepted.
"Wh-where?" Henrietta asked. Course, they hadn't gotten far from the gym. Across the street, actually. So they were literally right next to the Pokemon center.
