Ooops. In my haste, I made an error. "Freunde" is the plural for "Freund". I meant to ask "Ist sie deine Freundin oder deine Freundin?" You see, in German, there is literally no distinction between the male-female versions of "friend" and the words "boyfriend" and "girlfriend". A Freundin can be a female friend or a girlfriend, likewise a Freund can be a male friend or a boyfriend.
