(( Starting this off with a bit of a retro-post before getting into their present situation. ))
*Earlier in the day, he woke up later than normal, turning over to see that he's by himself in their bed.
neutral After showering and getting dressed, he goes to make himself a bite to eat and eventually finds out that his wife is not to be found anywhere in their quarters. He pulls out his phone to check for any messages. Not finding any from his beloved, he sends her a quick text before he heads upstairs to look for her.*

Missed you this morning. Where'd you head off to?
*After looking around and checking with the staff and security upstairs, it appears that no one has seen her since she headed into her office with a coffee cup in hand. Getting to be a bit worried now, he double checks his phone to find no new messages, then heads back downstairs again.
confused Once inside their quarters, he finds a broken vase on the floor and one of her shoes nearby. At that point he hears the faint sound of the shower running, then heads down the hallway and into their room. Following the trail of her soiled clothing to the master bath, he notes the hot steam escaping from the partly open door. Going inside the bathroom, he finds her leaning against the warmed tiles in the shower stall ... and crying.*
eek Pietrina, I've been looking all over for you! What happened? Are you alright? gonk *She looks up at him with her tear streaked face and in between the tears and sobbing, she tries to tell him what had happened to her. While trying to grasp what she was saying, he steps inside the shower stall fully clothed and turns the water off as he takes her into his arms, hugging her, trying to comfort her from her misfortune.*
I'm here now. Everything will be just fine. You'll see.*He leads her out of the shower and reaches over to retrieve her bathrobe from the hook, then helps her put it on. After she steps into her slippers, he grabs a towel for her hair and leads her out to the sitting area in their bedroom. After helping her sit down and get comfortable with some pillows on the couch, he hands her the towel so she can try to dry her dripping wet hair. He grabs the remote for the fireplace and turns it on to help warm and soothe her.
With his clothing now wet from stepping into the shower for her, he gives her a kiss before he goes to change his clothes. Upon returning to her, he hands her one of her warmer nightgowns for her to change into and a soft comforter to wrap over her. With another kiss, he takes the wet towel and bathrobe, then tells her to sit tight so he can go into the kitchen and fix her some hot tea.
Upon his return, he sets a tray down on the coffee table in front of her. After pouring her a cup of tea, he hands it to her and encourages her to eat something from the variety of healthy snacks setting on the tray. Carefully sitting down next to her, he does his best to comfort her more as they talk, cuddle and watch the warm flames dance in the fireplace.*
