The meta ORP says they took radios (left them, etc) but would they have taken eyephones?

Yep, but it would be dead weight. Since the eyephone is out of Halloween, there's no reception -- no long-distance reception, either. : ( The house's plugins are also European, so if you brought your charger... there's no way you can charge it up.

At least you have a fancy paperweight! : D

What would happen if a Hunter managed to find and eat some food that came from Halloween? Since.. it'd be made of FEAR and all.

Only Simon Belmont is ballsy enough to eat wall-chicken. Didn't your parents ever tell you not to eat food you find laying on the ground? Or to take candy from strangers? How did your Hunter live that long?!

You can see it, but it here's something... off about it. Like what you're seeing is Not Entirely There. It feels solid, and has a bit of a smell... But if you still want to eat it? It'll never reach your stomach.

But in retrospect, you'll hallucinate for the next roll 1d4 hours! Sucks to be you! biggrin

Nothing. Or rather nothing that either Halloween or Hunter or Weapon would like. The Weapon in a Halloween's hands is all DO NOT WANT and will refuse to work. Guns won't shoot bullets, swords will become dull and heavy... They'll make themselves look as useless as possible, and all their bling? Gone. A Halloweener just sees a Weapon as an old trashy weapon.

It's in a Hunter's hands that a Weapon will sparkle and shine~

In addition, a Halloween person touching a Weapon will not charge it. And if a Halloween uses a Weapon against another Halloween person? It will do nothing. It will not charge it. And the Weapon will probably make a special note to come Kill You Later for trying. biggrin

This is a Hunter combat question that would really only be relevant in a mission situation (with multiple battles in relatively close succession), but... how long can a weapon hold a charge/partial charge? Could you charge up your weapon (either partially or entirely) and then hold the charge without actually using it for a certain amount of time?

Say, for example: A Hunter charges their weapon with weaker enemies, but doesn't use the charged attack. Later they encounter a boss. Can they use the charged attack immediately on that boss, since they took the time to prepare it earlier?

Like Halloween characters, a Hunter's weapon charge resets between battles. Charges are on a "use it or lose it" system. Thus once a battle is over, the charges disappear. It takes a LOT of concentration for a hunter weapon to hold a charge, so hanging onto it for any length of time is far too difficult.

Updated the Fear guide with it!

Quote:

In addition, a Hunter's weapon is physically and mentally unable to hold onto a charge for any period of time. Just a single charge awakens a hunger in the weapon; it is like having your favorite food for the first time in a year. You savor it, you crave more of it. You want more of it, and nothing will stand between you and getting more. The more charges they get, the "fuller" and more incoherently frenzy-like they become.

When a battle is over, the very act of removing the protective Fear-shield also immediately cleanses the Weapon of charged-up Fear. Charges cannot be carried on between battles; you must use charges or lose them. Currently, Hunter weapons are still relatively new technology: no one has yet figured out a way to enable a Weapon to hold a charge.

That, and Weapons tend to have the bad habit of screaming bloody murder at their Hunters for "More Fear! More! MORE!" after getting a couple charges. Some Hunters are against looking into this due to the number of headaches and migranes that come as a result of charging the Weapon in the first place.

Holiday worlds don't generally advertise their method of spawning. All of them share the "natural" spawn method (soul spark + targeted emotional power) ~ but they do also have their own method to baby making. With Christmas there are two major theories, one is through presents and the other is through snow sculptures. There are those in Halloween that do know the truth of the matter, but sharing that kind of information about other worlds is considered to be both in bad taste and a possible danger to diplomatic relations.

I still stand by my theory that Christmastown people are made from fruitcakes. Why else do you think everyone gives them to everyone else so often? Nobody wants the responsibility they represent.

Two quick questions!

One: Is there some kind of doodle of what Team 6's room looks like, I'm having a horrible time trying to figure it out from the description xD;;

Two: The OOC instructions say:
Quote:
-> It being so steep and such a high drop will cost whoever tries to get down via jumping -3HP from drop damage!

But ah Mandys natural ability means that long drops by themselves do not harm her, so is she exempt from this or is there something at the bottom of the drop that would incur the damage?

I am your GM so I shall answer this!

Hint: That room was made for Mandy. She is the only one who can get off with not sustaining any damage. |D

Edit: Uhhh, I shall doodle something up. Gimme a minute.

I've got a suggestion while going through a battle as a Boo
How about hiding HP during battle?
Why?
Hunters and Halloweeners alike would be more cautious in fighting Boo if they didn't know how strong they were right?
If they knew how weak the things they were battling were, they'll more likely fight, but what if they never knew how strong they were? They would react differently, they probably would react more realistically to facing something they've never seen?
It's an element of sorts to think about.
