"We could head out of town," Eunmi said, unknowingly pointing towards the Dream Yard.

The two trainers found their way to the dream yard. Eunmi looked around and quickly back to Henrietta.
"This place is kind creepy, isn't it?" she murmured.

A broken down old.. was that a building?
Ruins?
A high gate and lots of plants. Like something you'd see in a movie or comic or something where nature had overrun a place long since destroyed or abandoned.
No, this was exactly that.
"I-it's p-pretty," Henrietta said.

"I guess it is, kinda," Eunmi said as she tilted her head to look at it at a different angle.
"Well, you want a battle, right?" Eunmi turned to Henrietta and smiled. "You know my choice of Pokémon, so your turn."
She was playing at being confident - in truth, she had no idea if D-Vee even knew any moves.

Of course, Henrietta would use the Pokemon she planned on using for her gym match.
"Melty," she said and she released the Litwick who looked at the Smeargle.
[That's an opponent?] he asked.

Eunmi retrieved her Pokedex from her pocket and clicked it open. Litwick, a fire/ghost type Pokémon. She clicked back to have the Pokedex scan D-Vee.
Known moves. There were actually quite a few of them. She'd never heard of a lot of them, though. She picked out one that sounded useful.
"Quick attack," she said. D-Vee glanced up at her and shook his head. Instead, he slapped his tail on the ground. A second later, his body began to glow blue and he jetisoned at the fire pokemon.
Ping went the Pokédex.
Smeargle refused to obey. Smeargle used Aqua Jet.
"Wha...?" Eunmi grit her teeth. "You're supposed to listen to me, D-Vee."

A move that went first. In theory, it was fast enough to hit a target before they could strike them. Basically, when they moved.
Still, that was theory. An opponent was capable of movement, it was simply that this attack was likely to hit before they could do anything of worth.
Still, it was worth turning a straight shot into a glancing one.
"Minimize!" was Henrietta's instant response. She didn't take the time to dwell on things. Melty was slow in the first place, the easiest way to dodge an opponent was to make them go over him.
And D-Vee, likely going too fast to stop himself, or even see more than a blur himself, would likely be unable to stop what came next.
"Dizzy ray!" she called next, only because that's what is required. Three words without missing a beat. Likely, D-Vee would be traveling over Melty, glancing the top of his head rather than colliding into him full force, and if this hit(which, at the distance, it's safe to assume that it would), it would leave D-Vee confused.

The smeargle did miss, barely, and sailed over the candle Pokémon. He skidded to a halt just in range of the Confuse Ray, but as the beams hit him, nothing appeared to happen.
Ping.
Smeargle's ability is Own Tempo - this Pokémon cannot be confused.
"That was lucky," Eunmi said as she looked at the Pokedex. "Er, how about uhm..."
She scrolled down through the list. There were a lot more moves than Dali knew. How did D-Vee know so many attacks?
"Th-thundershock?"
[Why do I bother waiting for her to say something?] D-Vee grumbled. He feinted to the left and then Quick Attacked to the other side of Melty, a Shadow Ball formed in his fist.
"Hey hey, D-Vee, that's not a thundershock," Eunmi cried.

"Smog," Henrietta said. Unlike Eunmi, she wasn't hesitant. Not when she battled.
No, oddly, she seemed to lose herself in the battle. Her expression was focused, not timid. Her body language said she was into the match and she was relaxed, not tense.
The smog would cloak Melty as D-Vee made his move. Having made a feint, it gave Henrietta and Melty the time they needed for their attack.
So the smog shot up, but Melty wouldn't move, he didn't need to.
Because D-Vee would never get the shot off.
"Ignite."
The move was dangerous, but it's not like it could kill. Melty's move, flamethrower, was something he'd learned but without heat control it wasn't like the flamethrower was full power. That is to say, it didn't have a base damage of 95.
It was likely that this was the same case for Wayne's Hitmonlee and his Earthquake.
That said, while the explosion that came from igniting the gases was powerful, it wasn't like Henrietta was putting anyone at risk of death.
She was confident in that.
And confident that, even if D-Vee had opted to dodge once he saw the Smog, he'd be caught in the shockwave and thrown away by it, much like he would if he stayed in the explosion. Basically, he'd never get the time to throw the shadow ball, it would be incinerated and he'd be thrown away. Even if he did manage to throw it, it'd be heavily mitigated by the flames.
Regardless, this tactic had another purpose. At the center of that explosion was Melty, powered up by Flash Fire.

Eunmi couldn't see what happened. This was probably advantageous to D-Vee, who abandoned his Shadow Ball attack in order to shield his face from the blast as he tucked and rolled.
The heat was still over bearing, but in a swirl of his tail on the ground as he spun around, a vortex of water emerged from the paint and sprayed outward, some sort of well controlled Water Sport to dissipate the smog and heat and cool down D-Vee's body.
"He's not listening," Eunmi said under her breath. She was thoroughly impressed by how well the Smeargle was doing, but didn't know why he wouldn't listen to her tactics.
[I underestimated you, Candle,] D-Vee said. [But that doesn't mean you'll win this-]
"HEY DA VINCI," Eunmi shouted. "I don't care if we win or lose, but it's not cool to just not listen to me."
[-as if that stopped me before,] D-Vee barked. [You're not even fit to call yourself a trainer.]
D-Vee slammed his foot on the ground. He had apparently sketched something under it while he had been talking. The ground shook and some of it cracked, enough for him to make use of chunks of it. He kicked one, two, no, five rocks out at Melty, using Rock Blast.

Eunmi's not controlling the Pokemon?
[Pathetic,] Melty said.
"Dodge," Henrietta said.
And Melty went left. With his speed it was harder to dodge, but with his weight it made it easier. The idea was that it was harder to hit a smaller target, especially further away. Utilizing this flaw in people, as well as a push sideways, Melty escaped the attack.
So far they'd each taken mitigated blows. On a battle level, one could call this even, but Melty felt a strong presence from the Smeargle.
[You're disgusted, but you don't see that you're the one holding her back,] Melty said, his flame gesturing toward Henrietta.
"Flame thrower, keep moving," Henrietta ordered.
The tactic came from her battle against Wayne. The Petilil had capitalized on its dodging and hitting ability. Melty would do the same. Though, with the level of his flame control, and while moving, what he would be using wasn't flame thrower.
It was flame burst.
Which came from the top of his head, so he could say, [she can't learn if she can't make mistakes. All you do now is shame and frustrate her. I refuse to lose to you.]

((Sorry for the delay, my cat just gave birth to kittens yesterday morning, so I been busy the past few days preparing and dealing with it. sweatdrop ))
"Ah, that food was rather splendid, wouldn't you say?" Dave emerged from the gym, Goliath behind him, while Cicero and Samson walked alongside him, munching on a cookie each. He headed over to the pokemon center, then picked Cicero up and set him on the counter as the pink-haired nurse came over to see him. "Cicero here just battled a fire pokemon, and he's a little beat up. Would you be so kind as to take good care of him for me?"

The Purrloin would continue to slash at the tree near the Dreamyard having been there for some time just attacking the tall tree with all the attacks that it knew at the moment let alone the ones that she could do on her own. The purrloin continues to hammer at the tree before long the tree was cut deep enough for it to become unstable and creak.
The purrloin looked happy and grinned a bit before the the tall lumber would start to fall the purrloin would move out the way of the falling tree watching as it takes out another tree before crashing to the ground with a loud crashing noise. {"Alright...seems like...i'm getting a....little better."} She says to herself before watching the second tree fall over and crashing near one of the walls in the Dreamyard breaking a section of the wall off making another loud crash.
She would blink and walks along the fallen trees as she heads follows the trail,{"Huh...didn't think I was that strong."} She says in disbelief before walking along the down trees some more she would spot something down the way another set of trainers battling again she recognized one of the trainers as the one with the Litwick and gave a small smirk as she let out a loud Meow to maybe get her attention.

Robby looked at the other trainer. His focus should have been on the suggestion to go to the gym, or something like that, but it fell on something else. That noise the other had made before talking. "What's "Ne" mean? It sounds stupid."
And then his thoughts fell on the gym. Still too far. But he had a feeling that wouldn't fly with this kid. "Probly only there so the leaders c'n show off or somethin'. What's the problem with here? You act like someone's gonna just run between our pokemon while they battle..."
