Woot! I'm almost halfway done with writing the paper. So far it's sounding pretty good. Hopefully Pavithra (my professor) will think the same.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 31, 2011 4:53 pm
Uh... hmmm... well... my paper is certainly taking a more darker approach than I originally thought I would. However, I think I'm doing pretty good with bringing my points across. It might take some work to insure everything is explained fully and nothing is left too broad. But I think this paper certainly will take Pavithra by storm... hopefully.

I still can't get over the fact that I'm taking such a stance on globalization. It just seems... shocking to me. I feel like it is views being brought up by someone else than me... but using my language. confused If that makes any sense...

------- Theatre
Please be patient, all applicants will be contacted by the end of March regarding their application status.

Uh huh... riiiigggghhhtttt! It's March 31 - the end of the month - and I haven't heard a single word from you about my application status.

478. What is the worst mistake you've ever made?

I can't think of anything. Pretty much all of the mistakes I've made ended up having a good reasoning for them, mostly to teach me something.

479. Are you in good health?

Yes.

480. Are you patriotic?

Let's play fact or crap. Is it a fact? Or is it crap?

Yeah, I can be pretty patriotic.

You mean me being patriotic? It's a fact.

While I may not have received information on my job application status for the local theatre yet, I did just receive an e-mail about the Pride Foundation scholarship I applied for. Unfortunately, I was not one of the recipients, though the e-mail said that I had "outstanding credentials." ((Though how honestly true that is, I'm not sure - I have a feeling it's just an e-mail format where the only thing changed is the recipient's name of the e-mail, lol)). None the less, it's nice to have received information about the status/outcome of the scholarship on my part.

481. The greenhouse effect is bad for your health.

Ah... I'm guessing the next few questions are still part of the "Fact or Crap Fiction" game. If so... Fact.

482. There are about as many molecules of air in one breath as there are hairs on your head.

False...

483. The Miss America pageant started out as a contest in which people decorated wheel chairs and one chair was judged the prettiest.

False.

484. To remove a tattoo a physician can place a small balloon under the skin, which is inflated so that the tattooed skin gradually stretches. Then they cut the stretched skin away.

I'm sure that could be one way to remove it, but there's easier techniques to remove tattoos I'm sure.

485. c**k fighting is a sexual sport.

If that's your sort of thing, I guess it could be...

486. It is the warmest time of the day during the hour that the sun is the highest in the sky.

False... I believe it's the afternoon that is the warmest time.

487. Certain scientists specialize in studying cow farts

Haha... I wouldn't be surprised if there were scientists out there studying cow farts. xd

488. The brilliant colors (reds, oranges, yellows) across the sky that we get from sunsets are caused mainly by pollution.

Sometimes that can be the case. Other times it's just the atmosphere itself.

489. In Grimm's original fairy tale, Rapunzel is pregnant.

I wouldn't be surprised of that's the case. Most of the real fables of some of the beloved fairy tales aren't as happy-go-lucky and romantic as they've been portrayed.

490. Dracula was the first movie about a vampire.

Most likely.

491. The inventors of Corn Flakes, the Kellogg brothers, ran a school for delinquent youth.

Not sure.

492. "Kemo Sabe" means "soggy shrub" in Navajo.

I don't know Navajo, so I wouldn't know whether that's the truth or not.

493. Sir Thomas Crapper invented the toilet.

Haha... no.

494. The Earl of Sandwich invented the Sandwich.

Nope.

495. Some Chinese alchemists were trying to invent an immortality medicine and accidentally invented gunpowder instead.

Sounds reasonable.

496. The human body is made of about 99% water.

No. It's lower than that; more like 60-70%.

497. Bubble gum contains rubber.

If I remember right, that is true. At least a part of the rubber tree plant, I believe.

498 This survey to the zero power = 0.

It wouldn't equal 0. It would equal 1. xd
