A flick of his tail was all it took, and from his palms D-Vee shot a blast of water, Water Pulse, keeping his aim steady as the opponent moved.
[Holding her back? She's not my trainer,] D-Vee growled. He suddenly disappeared, or at least, appeared to. Using Extremespeed, he dashed at the Litwick, holding his tail as it glowed blue and slashed out at the pokemon as he passed it - mimicking Eunmi's Oshawott, he would use his higher attack stat to his advantage and try to Razor Shell the candle pokemon.
[I am not responsible for her,] D-Vee said.
"Hey, Henrietta," Eunmi said, smiling sheepishly. "I'm sorry, maybe I shouldn't use D-Vee. My mom got him for me a while ago, but I've never used him to battle before. I don't even know if he likes me all that much."
She scratched the back of her head, her cheeks flushing a bit.
"I know you wanted to train and stuff, but I'm better suited to using Dali. I don't know any of D-Vee's moves," she replied as she pointed to her Pokedex.
[How can you be so stupid?] D-Vee barked at Eunmi. [You're a horrible trainer!]
"I don't..." Eunmi gulped. She could tell by D-Vee's expression he was mad at her.

Water pulse. In 2D terms, it was capable of hitting an opponent next to the main one. Which meant that the attack, in nature, was large. A good strategy if you were trying to hit a dodging opponent, as well as a tiny one. Even so...
The fire and steam of the colliding attacks helped mask Melty. Even if you hit the large, general area, the wide move of flame burst was doing well enough to hide Melty. The steam would catch him, but he'd take no direct hit from the water.
D-Vee had disappeared then. In order to effectively use extremespeed, one needed a target, if you add to it the general speed of things, you'd have D-Vee charging into the steam and slashing. It was likely that he'd strike before everything had faded, but even if not, Melty still had some tricks of his own.
Now, neither Henrietta nor Melty had ever seen high speed movement added on top of an attack, or stacked attacks in general. But even so, they would have to learn. And fast.
First and foremost, the glowing tail meant an actual attack. Which meant there were no others. Even as far as blurs go, a glowing one still had meaning. This instant acknowledgment carried into instant action.
Melty jumped.
With that, he'd phase through D-Vee instead of being caught by the attack. Still too slow to dodge properly, but fast enough to get into the air in order to avoid being taken out in one shot.
"Flame thrower!" Henrietta said.
[You chose to fight her battle, that makes you responsible,] Melty said as he complied, the flame thrower attack firing at D-Vee from behind.
And Eunmi was talking. Upset, or embarrassed. Henrietta looked at her, her concentration broken.
"H-hu-
CRASH!
She barely had time to bring her hands up to defend herself as the tree came crashing down. The old ground, roof from the underground dreamyard facility, caved under her feet as the weight of the tree was brought down, with her in the middle. The bark cut into her arms and the force sent her down.
As the tree landed it would creak, its weight too much for the old building but not enough that it would fall just yet.
And at the bottom of the pit lay Henrietta, writhing.

[I don't have to explain myself to you-] D-Vee barked.
"Watch out!"
Eunmi started towards Henrietta. The tree came crashing down, forcing the girl to fall, probably doing a lot of damage in the process. Eunmi disregarded the fact that she was running straight through the battlefield - no, she wasn't used to Pokémon battles enough to know that was dumb. D-Vee, luckily, reacted quickly enough. He slammed his fist, tail in hand, onto the ground and the impact forced a slab of rock to jut out of the ground and block the flamethrower from hitting the teenager.
Momentarily startled, Eunmi stared at the jagged rock, pointed edges just inches from her. She quickly regained focus and ran to Henrietta's aid.
"Can you move? Are you okay?!" Eunmi started to search for a way to grasp the tree trunk and push, but also make sure she didn't push it in a way that would make it crush the girl.
"D-Vee!" she pleaded, unable to think of anything else to say. She had already looked upset earlier, but now she was panicked. The Smeargle, as well as the teenager's Oshawott, ran over.

Coming on over, the Purrloin strolled. Kijin's the same one was before. Melty knew cause of the taste of it. And of course he could taste it, being in proximity of a Litwick meant they were eating your life energy. In short, he didn't sense your soul or Aura to know about you.
He ate your very life force.
[YOU!] he shouted.
Meanwhile...
Henrietta lay at the bottom of the pit. A room of the old facility that once stood tall and proud in the Dreamyard. Tiny bits of sunlight peaked in from the hole above, but it was mostly covered by a tree. For the most part, Henrietta was safe. Bleeding, agonized, but safe. The ceiling above her head(and thus at Eunmi's feet) creaked when pressure was put on the tree. It was already too much weight for the old building, aggravating it wouldn't help.
Henrietta's hands and arms were bleeding from the bark of the tree and she sat up, her back and head throbbing. The pain caused her to whimper as she slowly climbed to her feet and looked up.
Eunmi, topside, worried.
Henrietta's hands fell against forearms on the opposite arm, adding pressure, despite it hurting both hand and arm, as if that would stop the bleeding. She called, "y-yeah!"
She was alive, that's all she knew.
***
Topside.
Kijin's Purrloin wouldn't get much time for a reaction, because Melty was attacking already.
As far as Melty knew one of two things had happened.
A. his food was dead.
B. Eunmi would handle it.
That left Melty the task of murdering the s**t out of the cat.
And so came the flamethrower attack from the Joltik sized Litwick, its power not lost in its midgitized size.

"It's no good tryin' to move this," Eunmi said, looking to her side down at D-Vee.
"I know we're not very compatible, you and I, but please, Deev..."
D-Vee's ears perked up. Deev?
[I'm not that heartle-]
"We have to make sure it won't fall," Eunmi replied. "Can you support it somehow? Isn't there like something..."
[I can try to support it with rocks, but I don't want to aggrivate the ground around here-]
"What about 'Vine Whip'?" Eunmi suggested, recalling something from the Pokédex. "Whatever, you two just figure out some way to keep this from falling. I'm going down to help her out."
D-Vee was surprised at Eunmi's suggestion. He wouldn't have thought to use Vine Whip after that fight with the Litwick. He was still in battle mode. He turned to Dali.
[Right. I'll make the vines, you help loop them around the trunk, then throw 'em up to me once I'm in that tree, got it?]
Dali nodded, determined to help any way he could. Meanwhile, Eunmi delicately slid through the narrow opening between the trunk and the ground.
"Oh god, oh god, please don't let the trunk fall," she thought desperately as she wedged her body through. The last thing she wanted was to be squished.
"Stay calm, I'm almost there. I've got, uh, a first aid kit in, uhm, my bag," she said. In a moment, she was through the gap and landed gently next to Henrietta. She was careful not to step on the injured girl as she maneuvered in the small space.
"Lemme see," Eunmi gestured towards Henrietta's arms. "You just try to stay relaxed, okay? Slow breaths."
In her experience, and somehow Eunmi had experience in this area, this sort of situation normally included the wind being knocked out of you. She needed Henrietta to stay calm while she bandaged her up, especially in such a confined space.

Henrietta looked over at Eunmi as she came down into the facility. The room was indeed small, but it wasn't closed off. On the far side, lost in the darkness, was a door. Henrietta had noticed it only with the aid of the slight light that peaked in, and a bit of staring.
Either way, they could move if worse came to worst and avoid being crushed. Henrietta was looking at Eunmi now, and if one were to look Henrietta over she'd have a knot on the back of her head, the bruise on her back would be worse, and her arms and hands were bleeding. Not pouring geysers, but bleeding enough to require bandaging, gauze and padding, probably.
"H-hum," Henrietta said as she held out her arms for Eunmi. "I-i'm s-sorry, o-our match... W-we'll have to battle again later. C-can we sit? P-please?"

"Don't worry about it," Eunmi said, gently slipping her arm beneath Henrietta's neck and nodding for the girl to wrap her arm around hers.
"Lean on me, I'll help you up. Don't worry, I've got you," Eunmi said as she helped Henrietta up, hopefully, and guide her over to a safer spot to sit.

Henrietta complied with Eunmi's request and soon they'd be moving over to a safer place to sit. Above them the ceiling creaked again. Not from the tree shifting, but just from the continued weight.
"Y-your shirt," Henrietta said, trying to take her mind off of the tree, "I-i got blood on it. S-sorry," she said as she looked at Eunmi. Not in the eyes, of course, which left her eyes resting where her bloody arms and hands had managed to potentially ruin a good shirt.

"What, this ol' thing?" Eunmi said with a laugh. It wasn't old. It was new. It was one of her favorites.
"Don't worry about it," Eunmi replied. She took Henrietta's hands in her own, turning them over to get a better look at the damage done on the girl's arms. There were some bits of bark still poking into the skin. That would need removal. Otherwise...
"This is going to sound awkward, but I need you to take off your shirt," Eunmi replied, twisting around the girl as she released her hands. She noticed blood seeping through the back of the girl's shirt and dampened bits of her hair, indicating there were more injuries than she thought.
"Otherwise, I need you to tell me if something hurts. Don't move too quickly - if something is broken, you don't want to strain it," Eunmi said as she lifted the back of the girl's shirt up.

Henrietta blushed. Eunmi was right, it did sound awkward. Still, saying that she hurt all over wouldn't help. Henrietta was a mess. Now someone would actually get to see the whole mess.
Henrietta, taking the bottom of her shirt, would slowly pull it off, leaving her with just a pink bra.
The top of her back and chest were bruised from the previous night, courtesy of Avan. Though the back was in worse condition than the front now, thanks to the fall. The blood had pushed to the surface, as was a bruise, and the fall had caused the force needed to help the blood push through, which left the slight trickle of blood that followed down her back.
Henrietta brought her arms around herself as her shirt rested on her lap. Embarrassed, her arms slipped over her chest, to cover herself up as Eunmi inspected her.

"This is going to take a while," Eunmi murmured. She unzipped her bag and sifted through it, pulling out a first aid kit and a water bottle.
"Here," she handed the girl the bottle. A second later, she retrieved a pair of tweezers and some swaps.
"Let's get the bark out first, okay? It might sting a bit."
((I have very little knowledge of actual first aid outside of a fifth grade first aid class I took, so we may need to just skip over some of this.))

Wait, so she'd have to not cover herself up. Henrietta hesitantly complied, offering Eunmi her arms once again as she looked off to the side, her eyes looking at the facility wall, straining to make out details on the dark.

"Alright, almost done," Eunmi replied. The teenager was unusually focused, considering her normal inability to sit still, stay on a single topic, or even pay attention. After a while, Eunmi withdrew, examining her handy-work at bandaging up the girl's arms. She then proceeded to the girl's back, applying some gauze to the bleeding areas of the bruises. She didn't really know what to do about the bit on her head.
"This should be okay for now, but once we get out of here, we should probably take you to a hospital."
Eunmi slid the case back in her bag, hardly noticing the bits of now-dried blood on her fingers. She tossed a bundle of cloth at Henrietta.
"You can borrow that," she said. "Sorry it's uhm... probably not your style, but it's clean."
It was a black fitted band shirt, reading 'Monochrome Mercy' in bold white.
"They're like the only band ever not to have a Pokémon in their god damn name," Eunmi grumbled. "Can you stand up?"

By the time Eunmi was done Henrietta was lamenting her ruined bra. Where she'd tried to cover up before had stained the pink with blood. It'd also gotten on her chest a bit. So, instead of ruining yet another article of clothing, Henrietta said, "c-can I-i h-have something first? T-to c-clean u-up a-a b-bit," she said. Course she didn't want to gesture to what she meant, so she didn't.
