Title: An unknown bond (father and son). This is a PMed RP between Styx and Abingdon (owned by Marinity).
Styx: Styx wandered through the same forest as always, down the same routes he usually took. Predicatable perhaps, but in truth he was just forced into such routines having no way to retain new information or paths for very long. Since he had been cursed by the gods to live the life he now did he had learnt not to fight the very nature of the darkness that wriggled and danced inside of his mind, nothing good ever came of it.
In his more sane moments he could see flashes of images, fragments of memories with no knowledge of how long ago they were. He saw Kitten, Kiaya, fire, and the form of a dead fox but they made very little sence to him. Pushing them to the back of his mind he carried on walking down the same beaten path.
The wind whistled through the trees, Styx froze, his hairs standing on edge and his tail swaying from side to side in a defensive manner. Someone was there. His eyes scanned the surrounding area, he could see lots of trees. "Tricky one aren't you" he thought, but in fact had said out loud. He jumped and span around as quickly as he could hoping to catch his stalker red hooved. Still no one was there except a pile of leaves, most likely collected by a small animal, yet Styx merely saw it as the enermy. He lowered his body to the ground, tail wagging in the air as he prepared to strike. Leaping forward he sprang into the pile of leaves, sending assorted colours flying in all directions, greens, oranges, browns and red caressed the landscape and with a satisfied smile he turned, that will "teach you" he mumbled as he set off back along the familar path.
Where would it take him today?

Title: Show me your true strength!
This is a Thread RP between Gishoni (and Misha) and a collection of soquili.
Gishoni: *snarls at those around him, he hated the company of those less worthy than himself. Lazily he streched his wings and walked towards the river.*
Alaure: *spots the stallion and tries to remain inconspicuous*
Gishoni: *He watched the mare carefully what a pathetic attempt to be stealthy, this was his distaste for others. It was bad enough having to put up with his pathetic familar Misha, she was virtually useless. He growled from between his lips, his oversized fangs revealed alittle more as the corners of his lip rose into a disatisfied snarl.*
Valkyrie: *stretches lazily and eyes Gishoni from her perch on a remarkably sturdy branch* ^_~ <3
Gishoni: *He looked from one mare to another, the second was certainly more 'interesting' still than the first, though he would not make it obvious. He grunted towards her as she moved lazily. Her movements reminded him of his own. How odd.*
Wohl: *watching both Thorn and Gishoni to make sure that nothing happens to the stupid mare*
Undine: ~watches the stallion finding the display of fangs boring~
Mizuki: ~huddles near Undine worried that she was going to get herself killed~ "Will you stop antagonizing stallions"
Alaure: *wishes terribly she could fly and silently curses her guilded, lace-like wings, all the while trying to figure out WHAT to do*
Valkyrie: *twitches her tail slowly like a pendulum as her gaze drifts over the others, pointedly ignoring Kitty* .____.
Gishoni: *He turned his head to look at the new comers, several mares, dainty fragile looking creatures, he licked his lips. He could break them easily. A few stallions, a little trickier, but surely they would simply restrain the silly mares surrounding them to protect them from 'harm'? How predictable.*
*He spat at the ground. Through the side of his view he could see the dangerous blue mare, she was the only one he saw as a threat. An equal.*
*He flapped his wings softly and moved towards Alaure (who was near Undine and Mizuki). He got within inches of her. the warm breath from his nostrals breathing heavily on her.* Do I scare you little one? *He spoke in a teasing way, as if he was talking to his latest prey. Ever wondering what the blue mare would do, if anything.*
Kerberos: -could knock Gishoni off his rocker and not even think twice about it, snorting with amusement at the pompous stallion- Here we go...
Alaure: *eyes widened to the size of saucers, entire body trembling slightly, with was more prevelent in her wings* Y-Y-Yes...*small voice, as she backs up slowly*
Ijn: *can't imagine why anyone would want to jump on him since he looks awfully prickly*
Valkyrie: *notes the overlarge blood-and-ebony stallion, quirks one brow and remains silent- her gaze divided between the two threatening males, merely observing* *snorts slightly at the flutter's terrified response, rolling her eyes*
Undine: ~steps in front of Alaure~ "Leave her alone you over grown cat"
Mizuki: ~whimpers, wishing Undine would at least act like the princess she was~
Alaure: *continues to back up, albeit far more quickly now, not wanting to turn and run which would risk stimulating his prey drive, and attempts to make a mental note to thank the mare later*
Gishoni: *He ignored the new male, although the sound of his voice had caught his attention. Potential perhaps? He continued to stare at the tiny mare before him. His red eyes glowed in the dimming light as he spoke once more, in a raspy controlled voice, playful to prey once more.* Good. Remember this feeling. *He snapped his teeth towards her, leaving despite the interfering mare, the truth was, she was no fun to hunt as true prey, nor would he take satisfaction in taking a chunk out of her. Utterly boring. He longed for something more.... exciting. It was then he decided to turn towards the new mare, still eyeing the blue mare and the others surrounding him. He was intimidated so easily, not since he had seen many wars of the world pass by already.* And you are.... *he half-spat his words out to the young stallion, this time not as prey but from interest. Potential did call for some respect, but he would not be disrespected for long before snapping.*
Undine: ~rolls her eyes and mutters~ "stupid males"
Mizuki: ~extremely glade the stallion didn't kill Undine~
Kerberos: --Glances at Rosie, then grunts and dismisses her with a jerk of his head- Not now, buttercup~ -No, he's got something bigger and more interesting to deal with, his lips curling back in a half-grin- Kerberos. Don't mind me, I'm just here to observe... 'course, if you torment that pretty lady for much longer, I don't know if her poor heart can take it...
Gishoni: *Raised an eyebrow at his responce, what a strange creature. He seemed tough, fulled with the blood of potential yet his words were weak and pathetic, could he be for real? Or was he merely fooling with him? Curiousity was starting to fade but there was one last spark.* What would you have done if I had broke her? *It was a possibility, he had done it before to other such creatures.* Come to the rescue? *He chuckled under his breath, his tongue caressed his teeth for a moment*
Kerberos: -Snorts slightly at that, flicking his tail as though musing- She's not my responsibility. I'd have laughed at you, maybe--all that strength, and you can only bully about mares who are terrified of you? Clearly no one taught you any manners... or what it meant to challenge yourself. -His grin widens tauntingly to fully bare his fangs before he turns his back on the other with a dismissive flick of his good wing- So you go right on ahead, you big badass, you. ;D You'll sure show her a thing or two! -Can't even believe it, ears still curiously flicked as though waiting for some amusing retort-
Undine: ~continues to watch the stallions~
Gishoni: *He ignored the mare as she rose (pun! hehehe) to his defence, was he really so low he needed a mere mare to stand up for him? His interested was all but faded when he spoke his own answer. He was trying to get an answer from Gishoni, it was clear that he did not understand. The very reason he had not attacked was due to her worthlessness, just like it seemed he was equally unworthy. He would simply keep searching. He yawned and laughed as the 'boy' turned his back. Senseless, you should never turn your back on one who would attack you.* Pathetic. *He snarled and yawned once more, he looked at the strangers rump, he was tempted to take a bit simply to teach him a lesson, but his worthlessness caused Gishoni to show restrain. He was bored now.*

Title: A fateful encounter?!
This RP is between Drashi and Avalee via PMs. Drashi: Drashi left the lake and his 'family' to go in search of berries for breakfast, as with every seventh day it was his turn to find the first meal of the day. Usually he would wake Maion for the company but today he wanted to spend some time alone with his thoughts. There was a darkness lingering in the back of his mind and heart, and it was starting to weigh heavy on his life. Despite having found love in the form of family it would never be HIS family, they where gone, ripped from this world in a rage of blood by some skinwalker who left feathers in their wake. The kindness of Maion, Sengdroma and their family is limitless yet something was missing. Perhaps it was a longing for a mare to look at him the same way Sengdroma looked at Maion? Perhaps it was someone he could protect and honor for the rest of his life? Or maybe it was a longing for a family of his own? He simply didn't know what his heart wanted.... fear of being hurt again lingered too harshly on his mind to allow him to venture into the world of love.
And so Drashi began his walk into the forest, the rising sun sent waves of colour striking through the canopy above him, caressing the earth with a mellow glowing tone. The birds sang their morning melodies, and the creatures of the forest started to awake. It was a beautiful place, no wonder Maion and Sengdroma had decided to raise a family here. Stretching his wings out as wide as he could among the thick tree trunks he felt a cooling breeze ruffle his feathers. Closing his eyes he saw the soft and delicate face of his sister, she was serene as always and he wished that he could forget the bloody mess that he found all those years ago in the forest north of here.
After venturing for what seemed like a small eternity he eventually came to a bush of juicy berries, red and suculent, perfect. Moving closer towards them he wondered how many he should collect for his family.
-------
Avalee: Gentle footfalls stirred the tall grasses beneath dainty hooves as a petite mare made her way across an empty hillside, steps for once filled with purpose, rather than the aimless, slow wandering she had always preferred. Her long ivory tresses brushed against her ankles as she continued on, crystal blue irises scanning the horizon with a determined gleam instead of the hazy, dreamy look they usually carried.
She was sure now that this was her calling, however foolhardy the decision might have been to so abruptly leave her home, friends and family.
As sheltered as she was, Avalee was not naive to the ways of the world- not oblivious to hatred and pain, to bias and ridicule. She herself had never been subject to such things, but she was not blind enough not to notice that her older brother was.
The pain in her dear mother's eyes whenever she spoke of Kureno's upbringing always instilled a feeling of sympathy, the quiet pain and feigned stoicism in her brother's a sensation of longing- to help him find something more than the suffering he had always known, to bring joy and warmth to the infinite cold void she always witnessed him carry. He rarely spoke to her- in fact, he rarely spoke at all- and although she knew he harbored some resentment for her early in her life, she also knew that he felt some affection for her. She admired his strength and tenacity, but always thought it unfair that he was so heavily burdened.
And when his relationship with the gentle mare Evelyn had failed him, and he lost the only inklings of happiness that he had ever known, her heart broke for him.
Now, he had left without a word, and even his daughter could not find him. Perhaps it was a fool's journey, but Avalee had resolved to be the one to find him, to help him, whatever it took. Whatever the consequence.
To be perfectly honest, though her intentions were pure, she had no idea what she was looking for. Perhaps advice, perhaps the company of someone else that she believed could steer her brother in the right direction- she wasn't foolish enough to actually believe that once she found him things would change, if she hadn't come up with some method of changing them herself. Kureno hated change, even when the result was more desirable than what he had. Whatever the case... she would find something in her journey. This much she was sure of.
There was no other alternative.
-------
Drashi: Drashi continued toward the berries, and as he lowered his head and captured a few for a little snack he heard the sound of hooves and the faint fluttering of wings. Distracted he turned, juices from the berries started to trickle from his mouth as he looked for the source of the sound. Eventually his eyes lay upon a magnificent grey and blue mare, with long flowing hair.... yet in size she was a lot smaller than him. He had never met anyone who ventured into this part of the forest at this time -that was one of the reason why he usually asked Maion to come with him, it was sometimes lonely. Yet here before him was another creature. Maion had always taught him to show repect to others, especially since many breeds held the Angeni in high regard and others were so shocked to see one of them that they would faint or act differently. He had come to terms with the effect his breeding could have on others, he just wanted to find someone who could see past it... perhaps that was part of the reason why he often sought out the company of his own kind?
Licking his lips, and managing to get most of the berry trail towards his chin, he started towards the dainty mare and bowed his head gracefully before speaking in his soft sing-song melody of a voice, "Hello there beautiful lady, it sure is a lovely morning." Mares usually loved compliments, or so he believed from watching Maion and Sengdroma together.
-------
Avalee: Delicate wings fluttered in the gentle breeze as the young mare came to an abrupt halt, ears twitching once before pricking forward as a deep voice broke the serene silence.
Cerulean irises darted forth to settle upon a handsome ivory stallion, gaze flickering curiously towards the four feathered wings protruding from his back, and her natural curiosity kicked in after a brief pause. An angeni? She had never met one before, had only heard of them in stories- some of the fallen, searching for salvation, some of the heavenly blessed creatures that roamed the Soquili lands in search of purity. Which one was he, she wondered? Some said the Fallen were creatures to be feared- but hadn't Miss Amaya spoken of the fallen Shyam as her savior?
In either case, it was not her place to judge any by what sort of lineage they had, much less of their origins, or how their presence in this land had come to be. He didn't seem threatening in the least- though even if he had, Avalee was never one to back down from a challenge... though she did avoid them on occasion if they didn't suit her fancy.
At the softly murmured words that the winds carried to her ears, a small, but gentle smile adorned her features as she stepped forward, bowing her head in greeting and gratitude. "That it is, kind sir," her own dulcet tones floated through the stillness with an enigmatic air, crystal blue hues focusing themselves on him with rapt attention and obvious intrigue. "Were you simply enjoying the breeze this summer's day, or do your steps have a path and purpose this lovely morning?"
-------
Drashi: He watched her movement’s curiously, there was a hidden grace that flowed as freely as water, and something told him that despite her delicate appearance she would prove to be just as deadly as tidal wave should she be crossed. Intriguing. Yet as the word 'sir' reached his ears he found himself laughing, no one had ever called him sir before, Maion perhaps but not him. "No need for that," he said with the laughter still ringing with each word, "Just call me Drashi -sir would be my father Maion. As for your question I was out collecting berries for my families’ breakfast -yourself?" He was genuinely curious by her intention within the forest so early, not many ventured near his home especially not at this early hour, the sun had only just began to risen and although the warming light was already piercing the canopy it was not yet at its full strength.
He walked a little closer to her before speaking again, "May I ask your name fair maiden?"
-------
Avalee: The sound of his laughter was pleasant to her ears- perhaps 'melodic' would have been a bit too feminine of a description, but its sound lifted her spirits slightly, and she found an answering smile growing upon her ebon' maw.
"As you wish, Drashi- it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name is Avalee." She punctuated the greeting with a formal, sweeping bow of her head, ivory tendrils of silken locks falling over her eyes briefly before they were brushed aside by the wind. It had been a long while since she had made a friend, or had any other significant company besides her immediate family, and the occasional visit from other herd members, and it was indeed a pleasant experience meeting someone who seemed just as apt to light conversation. Now, Avalee was not vain or shallow, and cared little for physical appearance- but the fact that he was good-looking didn't hurt things, either.
It was beside the point entirely, but the observation was there.
Mentally shrugging off the thought for further study later, the small mare tilted her head to one side in curious thought as he mentioned his family. It wouldn't be proper to inquire about their origins right off the bat, but the thought was intriguing to contemplate. Social niceties were merely a formality in conversation- or at least, in conversations with Avalee- but the question would have been a little too blunt, perhaps even a little inconsiderate to broach so early. Perhaps he would answer her ponderings later, if they continued to converse.
"I am searching for my wayward brother," she answered softly, azure irises darkening a bit in remembrance of her forgotten purpose- how insensitive of her to simply cast away the reason for her wanderings. She didn't elaborate, though she was sure the statement must have left him curious- she wasn't one to offer unnecessary words unless it was asked of her.
Besides, she wasn't entirely sure what else she would say about the matter.
-------
Drashi: Drashi’s heart missed a beat as she spoke his name, apart from his siblings and parents no one had spoke his name in such a long time. Usually that was the way he liked it and yet he found himself wanting more, his previous morning intentions seeming somehow pointless now given the mares presence. A thought flashed in his mind, why don’t you kiss her? His cheeks flashed bright red before he caught himself and made his heart calm down, he would never act upon such thoughts so carelessly –after all he was true gentleman and she was a lady who was not to be taken advantage of EVER! Slowly he turned his head away from her, so not to appear staring as he spoke, “It is nice to meet you Avalee”
He listened intently as he lowered his head and took a mouthful of grass; he was a little desperate to appear as nonchalant as possible, at least until he managed to fully compose himself. Yet as she spoke of her reason for being out so early something caught his thoughts. Searching - Wayward brother, he had once searched for his family also, though he had been aided by a bloody trail and fallen feathers. He winced a little at the memory of seeing his sister in that state and before he could stop himself he spoke the words, “I hope he is OK.” It was more to himself than to Avalee but for all the goodness in the world he hoped that she would never have to see her family in the same way he had seen his for those memories cut so deeply into his soul that they formed a hole that would never heal.
As to distract himself he spoke again, this time forcing a more chirpy tone into his voice while a smile formed on his face, only his eyes betrayed him. “Lets get some breakfast.... after all if you are to travel far you will need your strength up.” In that moment he could not bring himself to ask more of her brother, he first needed to separate her quest with his own experiences –but life had shown him so many times before that such a concept was easier thought than done.
And so he started to walk back towards the apple trees and berry bushes, a single tear ran down his face and hit the ground before he stood fully tall and strong once more. He could survive this... all he needed to do was think of something happier, and in that moment he remembered the sound of his name upon her delicate lips, slowly he turned his head to check up on the mare and as he saw her a true smile lit up his face and eyes. She looked beautiful with the light that flashed from the canopy landing upon her ebony patterned pelt. How delicate and innocent she looked. “It’s not far.” He said, although his thoughts were more towards protecting her from the dangers of the world –though the fear of letting her down as he had his sister scared him.
-------
Avalee: Her curiosity piqued as she caught a brief glimpse of what looked like embarassment upon his features before he turned away, tilting her head a bit further to one side in innocent contemplation. She didn't comment on the matter, though- it would probably only make things awkward, and she was already quite enjoying the atmosphere between them.
Her features warmed with a bit of endearment as he returned the sentiment of their introductions, dipping her head in acknowledgement as his gaze left her own. Almost immediately she missed the warm weight of his stare, though the revelation was a bit startling. Although she loved her family and had never considered herself anti-social, she wasn't in the habit of deliberately seeking out company, much less forming close friendships right from the start. Still... there was something about this stallion that drew her usually fleeting attention, focused her to him with more than simple curiosity. Avalee wasn't sure she understood it, but that wouldn't prevent her from pursuing it.
The soft suggestion that broke the temporary silence startled her from her thoughts, and she nodded, offering a small smile once again in agreement- only to be startled again into speechlessness as she caught sight of a single, tiny droplet, caught by the breeze and glittering under the light of the sun, falling to the ground beneath his hooves and disappearing into the soil. Almost instantly, a sensation of... well, she wasn't entirely sure what it was, but it tugged at her heart, and crystalline hues softened into an expression of sadness as she simply stood and watched him. Unknowingly, she must have dredged up some unwanted memories... exactly what of, or how she had done so was unclear... but the aura of pain that he radiated, even if only for a moment, was unmistakable.
Guilt flooded her heart, and for a moment, she could only look towards the ground, as even the wings upon her back drooped. Empathy, while only a sense that she shared rarely with others, was strong when she did, and it seemed her heart was already forming some sort of attachment to the winged stallion. She wanted to help him, as she wanted to help her brother. But, again... her determination was admirable, but she knew very well that she had no means of accomplishing such a feat. He barely knew her, and she had no way of knowing if he would even accept or want her help.
Still, it didn't stop her from wanting to.
As his gaze lifted again to meet hers, and she witnessed a light being reborn into those eyes, she found herself resolving to help him, with just a deep a determination as the one to help Kureno. After a pause, she let a bright, genuine, radiant smile grace her features, hoping it would serve as a means of encouragement as she stepped forward to follow after him. Her smiles were usually serene, reserved, sometimes even distant... but he had her full attention, and she wished him to know that she was there to help him, to listen, if he ever wanted to share.
"Is it a place you visit often?"
-------
Drashi: He nodded softly to her, it was a place he had visited often but since Maion had taught him the value of plants and trees he would only visit this particular spot once a month. That way it allowed other creatures to benefit from the fruit as well as for life to continue rather than being ravaged of all its hard labour. The cycle of life - take only what you need. "It is a beautiful place, full of a variety of fruit -my family tend to love berries more than any other fruit and so its a good place to collect them." His voice was much calmer now, once again his own as he regained his control. "What fruit do you have a preference for?" He turned to look at her as he spoke, curious if she would answer his question or simply continue on in silence. Either way he would not judge or blaim her, yet as he looked at her he noted a hidden -well something- lingering behind her eyes, an unfamilar twange tugged at him as he found himself both curious and captivated by it and its meaning.
Shaking his head softly he broke his gaze and continued onwards, slowly the view of the clearing with the berries and fruit trees came into view, perfectly hightlighted by the early morning sun that spilled through and to reveal the green treasures of the forest.

Title: Just another day in the busy field??
This RP is between Racardo and Stripe via PMs. Stripe: 'Twas mid-morning and Stripe had left her teepee for breakfast and fresh air. She followed the river and then headed through the woods, her destination was the clearing. She flicked her hair out of her face whilst kicking the leaves to watch them dance in the air then settle on the ground again. Most trees still had their leaves and few were completely bald. The sky was surprisingly bright for autumn, and the light hitting the trees reflected of the leaves giving everything a slight orange glow.
Stripe had now passed several soquili, some alone, others in groups, some scary looking and others sweet. But none attracted her enough to bother them, normally she saw everyone as a friend and someone to talk to, but today nothing was really catching her attention, she just hummed to her self, not really noticing anything ahead of her now.
---------
Racardo: Racardo yawned softly as his mother fussed over him, "Please stop -I am old enough to do that myself!" Despite his aggravation he knew that she only meant well, part of him sensed that she feared the day was looming when her three youngest children would grow up and take mates of their own -not that she wanted to deny them of such a wondrous thing, but she feared they would have their hearts broken like she had had so many times before she met his father Ayden. And so against his better judgement he nuzzled her neck softly and gave her a kiss before turning to leave, "Don't worry Mum, I shall be back later!"
As he walked her wondered how different things would have been if he had not known the love of his family, if he had not been cherished and cared for like so many of the souls he met throughout his life -this was one of the reasons why he had always swore to himself that if the day ever arrived that he found himself with a mate or even children he would cherish and protect them with every ounce of his strength and then some. After all nothing would rip such delicate things from his side -the only issue was that finding someone who kept him on his hooves and interested him past friendship was difficult. After watching his Eldest sister Astral flirt and befriend near enough every male in the area he had come to believe that finding love was much more difficult than the stories said. After all in the stories his father had shared with them love conquered all and seemed to come to every character without too much effort -and yet he was still alone. Sighing softly he closed his eyes for a moment to embrace the warmth of the Autumn sun and the sound of the freshly fallen leaves crackling as smaller animals continued on their way. At least that was something he could always rely on -no matter what was happening to him the world would continue to move on.
Satisfied that there was nothing to worry about -or rather that there was nothing he could do to influence his fate- he started to trot towards the river that twisted and ran itself through the near by field. He enjoyed visiting here due to the hustle and bustle of other soquili and animals, foals playing their games while parents watched on with loving stares, lovers courting each other under the safety of the suns gaze but most of all he enjoyed the time alone with his thoughts -being around so many yet so alone was strangely appealing.
Before long he was galloping through the field, past youth and elder alike on his way to the river as the sound of rushing water flooded to his ears. The smell of grass and winter flowers caught in his nose as he slowed to the rivers edge, the clear blue water tumbled and rolled over the rocky bed reflecting perfectly the clouds that highlighted the bright blue sky. Lowering his head softly and closing his eyes he took a mouthful of water and savoured its taste and flavour as it trickled down his throat. Delightful!

Title: Blood and tears!
This is an RP between Kimi and Terentia via PMs. Terentia: The dawn was coming close, before the sun graced the sky with its golden glow. Terentia found herself wondering down from the mountains, she did not know why she was up so early and to be honest she liked more than anything to wake later in the day, so it was no so cold when she wondered out of her mountain home. She smiled and looked up at the stars which were fading one by one. It was a wonderful sight which she found great pleasure it loosing herself in as she wondered down the mountain paths into the forest which surrounded its base. Her small white ears twitched, she thought she herd something in the near distance, curiously she looked on and started to wonder some more. She looked on in a trance like state, which was probably her just trying to wake from her half asleep state. The wind swirled around her blowing her hair from side to side. The sound of bells could be heard around her, a sound she was very much used to. Since her presence made them ring.
-------
Kimi: Kimi tore into the flesh of the fox, it tore effortlessly through her strong clawed paws and the smell of blood and meat drove her crazy. As always when she fed Kimi found herself contemplating an even more challenging kill.... it had been such a long time since she had last tasted the blood of a Soquili. It was somehow flowery in flavour, gentle and smooth as it trickled down her throat leaving her feeling very well satisfied, but the truth of her kind, skinwalkers, was spreading fast and so it was getting harder and harder to target her pray... especially since Kimi specialised in luring her prey with her innocent demeanour before ripping open their throat. It was a delightful thought. One that she savoured.
Liking her lips of the blood and flesh she looked to the sky, the early morning sun was rising and could already be seen over the mighty mountain -a reminder that she must now stay hidden. After all it did not bode well to a skinwalker to allow others to know of their presence freely, her skills worked best when she was not expected. And so she pulled reluctantly away from her half finished kill to wash herself within the rivers glossy surface.
The river was only a short walk away, and as she stepped into the river the blood and evidence of her victim where washed away and carried towards the every looming lake as the red blood faded into nothing. Closing her eyes she took a deep breath, how she longed for something or someone to play with......
.....It had been a few hours since she had left the cooling water of the river, and now she found herself wandering towards the mountain itself. Usually she avoided this place as it was open and homed many of the Angeni who where the sworn enemies of her kind. Too saintly for their own good.... a wicked smile flashed over her face as she imaged ripping open Maions’ neck and feasting on him. That idiot needed to be brought down a peg or two -if only he was not stronger than her. A soft snort left her nose and mouth as she took her attention to the pebbled ground. How she hated her existence.
But then, just as everything seemed hopeless she caught a scent being carried upon the wind, a magnificent delicate fragrance that was tinted with lavender and roses.... female most like. Eager her senses peeked and her eyes and ears scanned the surroundings for sounds and movements. It didn't take long to find her target, a magnificent Angeni. HA! What luck... if she couldn't do anything to Maion she could certainly do something to this creature and pretend she was that idiot! Her twisted smile widened and her eyes turned red for a moment before she composed herself and ran off to the forests edge where she planned to watch her prey before luring her deeper.

Title: Healing old wounds.....
This is an RP between Drashi and Celandine via PMs. Celandine: Well, her hoof was stuck. This wouldn't have been such a big deal if she could see what it was stuck on, but between her own handicap and Vrabel's worried, disorganized orders, she was having a heck of a time even figuring out what was going on down there, much less getting it loose again. From what she could feel and gather from him, she'd snagged it on a vine, which had been when she'd tripped and gotten it wedged between a couple of roots. Not exactly the most comfortable position to be in, so the sooner she freed herself, the better.
However, having Vrabel clucking in her ear wasn't going to help anything. "Vrabel, would you please go see if you can find anyone to help me?" Anticipating his protest, she added, "Anyone with hooves? I can't get myself properly loosened by myself, and I would really, really appreciate it."
Flapping his wings testily beside her head, he grumbled, "If you'd only listen... well, fine. I'll go see if I can round up any respectable sort."
"Thank you." It was said sincerely, with enough emphasis to have him grunting before taking flight.
She waited a moment, head lifted, ears perked to listen, and then sighed and relaxed, dropping her head and wings in one motion. It really did hurt, she just hadn't wanted to show the extent of it while her bonded was close by. He was already a worrier, and there was no need to put anything else in his head that would convince him she wasn't fit to be romping around on her own. she felt a little bad that she had to deceive him, but really, she couldn't think of anything else to be done.
Leaning down, nudging her ankle lightly, she winced and sighed. If she didn't get it out of there soon, it was going to get really bruised up and swollen, and she'd have to take a break from traveling - at least by land - until it healed. That irritated her, and was enough to have her delicately placing her other hoof against the far root, leaning on it with as much of her weight as she could muster, attempting to spread them far enough apart to get her leg up.
She managed a little, and cautiously, she began to lift her trapped hoof. She could raise her leg, but the moment the hoof connected with the roots, she coudln't budge it without yanking much harder than she was willing to. The strength in her right leg failed her and she eased off, huffing a breath of annoyance.
"Well, that's just fine." Swishing her tail, she muttered, "I'll just stay here until Vrabel comes back. Then I can play damsel in distress, and spend the entire day being scolded."
She realized she was talking to herself, but there was no one else around, and it was comforting to hear someone's voice. After a moment, her own lowered, sounding just a little bit melancholy. "I hope it doesn't take very long."

Drashi: Drashi looked up at the beautiful morning sky. He loved this time of day more than any other, the mellow sun with its glorious rays that carried a slight warmth that nipped at his flesh. And then there was the melody of the world, the chirping of birds accompanied by the soft rustling of leaves as the gentle breeze swept over the land. Yes, the calm and quiet was just the way to escape from such a busy family that he left now sleeping by their precious lake, and no matter how much he truly loved each member he knew them not to be his true family -for they had been ripped from this world in a blind rage of blood and it angered him deeply.
Pushing such thoughts away he carried on his path looking for a tasty morning snack, berries were always his favourite treat but they could be difficult to find when the seasons changed. It was then he heard a frantic sound, a large bird in some kind of trouble. Eyes darted towards the sky as he looked for the creature. It was then that he saw a magnificent beast with wings as large as the clouds that hung so highly in the sky. “What is wrong?” He called in an effort to discover the truth behind such distressed noises. No reply came but there was a familiar ‘follow me’ movement as the bird headed back in the direction it must have travelled from. Curious Drashi followed the creature and before too long they came across a beautiful Angeni mare that also seemed to be in some distress. A little hesitantly he moved forward to examine her closely, soft shades of tan and white drifting to black around the ankles and as he looked at her face he found himself curious about the blankness of her eyes. Was she blind? He had never met anyone who was blind before and if she truly was as he predicted then he noted how her lids lay heavy over her eyes so that they appeared to barely open.
Once again he looked over her form until he noticed what she was struggling with; her ankle seemed to be trapped among several vines. A little taken aback by the bloody swollen mess that he was sure was usually dainty and delicate. It looked painful and all he could think of was setting her free, it was then that he remembered the possibility that she was blind and so unable to see him or his actions. So he spoke softly in his gentle melody voice hiding all signs of his distress from her, “Fear not m’lady, I shall do my upmost to free you. I am sorry if I cause you any more pain in the process.” Usually he would bow his head but such actions seemed pointless given the circumstances. He lowered his head to examine the vines, it appeared only a single vine was wrapped around her ankle but the thorns dug roughly into the flesh, her hoof was caught between two mighty roots. Taking a deep breath he lowered his head still, his brow brushing against her ankle before he took the thorny vine into his mouth –suppressing a soft murmur of pain- before tucking at the vine until it eventually broke. This was only stage one, the next issue was the roots, examining them before taking anymore action. He really didn’t want to cause her more pain.
------
Celandine: She was surprised that aid had come so quickly, but it would be a lie if she said she wasn't grateful. The predicament she found herself in was certainly a painful one, and under any other circumstances, she'd be embarrassed that she had to ask for assistance. Present conditions taken into account, though, even her ego could withstand getting a little assistance.
Huffing out a breath, all traces of upset vanishing from her features, she said cheerfully, "Thank you very much. I could've been stuck here all day, and, well, there's not much to eat in my immediate reach, is there?"
It was her habit to take things in a light-hearted manner if she could, and even though the stallion that was assisting her didn't seem to be the least bit disturbed, it helped put her at ease as much as she hoped it reassured him. No one liked a crybaby, after all, and even if her ankle presently felt like someone had slowly sawed it down to the bone, well, she didn't have to let him know that! Celandine was, above all things, very capable of taking her lumps and being quiet about it.
Rustling her wings slightly, the only outward indication that she was the least bit uneasy, Celandine pricked her ears toward the stallion and swung her head a bit, careful not to knock foreheads with him. It was nice enough that he was trying to help her out, so the least she could do would be to keep herself from clobbering him and rendering him unconscious.
Wouldn't that be a sight? Despite herself, she snickered, but quickly swallowed the rest of the laugh. "I'm Celandine, by the way. Can I have your name, Oh Knight in Shining Armor?"
------
Drashi: He listened politely to her as she spoke, she seemed to resemble a sea of calm despite her situation, but something told him that it was merely an act -though he would never let on that he felt that way. Instead he would give her the dignity she desired, no mare needed to feel degraded, especially not one trapped in such a situation. Her hoof seemed fairly tightly wedged and he was unsure if he would be able to free her without causing her more pain and discomfort. Replying to her he kept his voice clear and steady, "Fear not, I shall not simply leave you in such a way." And at the mention of food he found himself smiling, he had been in search of such a thing himself, "As for food I am sure we can go find some once you are free -that is if you can walk, if not I shall fetch you some well deserved breakfast and an Athelas -its a healing plant that should help you wounds heal quicker." He wondered if perhaps he was offering too much, she seemed like a noble creature and although he meant no offense by his offer he had never met anyone blind before -would she believe he was simply considering her beneath him? Nothing could have been further from the truth.
Then she moved her head towards him, for a moment he thought they would clash but she seemed to have a perfect understanding of the distance between them. Perhaps the rumours where true after all, if you lost one of your six main senses (sight, smell, touch, hearing, taste and spirit) the others would always compensate. Interesting. Before he could think any more about it she laughed, it was only for a moment but it was certainly there, light and chirpy, a beautiful sound and before he could stop himself he blurted out the words, "You have a beautiful laugh -its infectious," before laughing a moment.
As he heard her name for the first time his ears twitched, the very word 'Celandine' seemed to disrupt the air in a soft up and down movement, it was strange and like nothing he had experienced before. "It is nice to meet you Celandine, my name is Drashi -but I am no knight-in-shining-armour M'lady, simply a simple Soquili aiding another." It took all his will power not to shed a tear at her endearment, she had not meant any harm by it yet it struck him to his core -his sister used to call him that long ago- and that was pain he would not share. And so as a distraction he asked, "What brings you out to these parts anyway? We don't tend to get too many visitors at this time of the day."
While he awaited her reply he lowered his head to the roots around her foot, freeing her as fast as possible seemed like the best thing to do right now -plus it would distract him for a little while.
Opening his mouth he took one of the roots into his mouth and mumbled, "be-ar wi-th m-eee a mo-me-nt" before tugging as hard as he could with the root away from her, to begin with it refused to budge -buried deep in the Earth- but after digging his feet into the soft ground and tugging with all his strength it began to move until finally it was free from the ground, unfortunately for Drashi it came free so suddenly and unexpectantly that it caused him to fall on his backside with a loud thump. Perhaps it was a good thing that she was blind -after all she could not seem him wince in agony or blush brighter than a tomato as he did right now.
