(yay i rented more movies)

"Batman, Gotham Knight" no not the dark knight..gotham knight. Its a bunch of animated shorts dealing with batman, with villans such as "killer croc" "scarecrow" and "deadshot"

the animations are great from different artists and i must say i was impressed. The voice acting is good it even had some people from "batman begins" and "batman the animated series" doing voises in this, i gotgot who though. I have nothing wrong with this movie exept that it should have been longer.

I give this movie a 5/5

i know i should review another bad movie...and i will...oh I WILL

but.....i just FINALLY saw this

"Gangs of New York" wow..just....WOW i mean the first scene u see a priest played by Obi wan (i forget his name he was also the villian in batman begins) and hes a priest with a young boy -raises eyebrow- who is his son...ohh ok cause i thought..yeah and then him and some other people gear up looking like they are going to war. Followed by the guy who plays Mad eyed Moody (harry potter character) the gear up for war and i cant spoil the rest but..

16 years later the priests son comes back with VENGENCE.....but gets taken under "the butchers" wing, now if your irish or american african (place of origin comes first) or asian there are racial slurs but im sure you can get over that.

Adveradge Joe perspective: nudity, blood, violence, action

The casting is great and although long its juust great, the music is great in this too THEY GOT U2 to perform a song in it. The ending is great its suitable. The storys great some parts are predictable..but enjoyable...

Lets face it i would love to give this a higher rating but i only do the up to 5 rating if i could. a 7/5 but thats improper so a 5/5. you will enjoy this i recommend it for all to see.

"the sweet hereafter"

Ill just say this, if your a film major youl like this, if your an adverage movie goer, you might not like this movie. Theres good acting and a good story but for me thats it.

The movie is narrated by a girl who ties the movie to the story of "the pied piper" which is a interesting concept. Now the story is a lawyer who investigates a town because of a bus crash. This man also has his own troubles.

The problems that i had was a few things, the movie just has long scenes where nothing truly interesting happens, it was kind of boring to tell the truth. the scened switch around alot but its hard to put which scene in which place.

I was also confused because when the main character is in a plane in a few scened hes with this woman who looks like an older version of this girl in the film whos young.. i dunno all and all...i give it a 2/5 it has effort but for me in my opinion it was just...not with the hour and 45 minues (give or take)

"An American Warewolf in London"

alright considering its time the graphics was good, but if u watch it now after seeing something like "hostle" or "saw" you wouldnt be as thrilled by it.

2 american boys backpack through europe untill the sensitive guy gets killed (so thats 2 movies that ive reviewed where the sensitive virgin gets killed...note to self if im in a horror situation..make sure i have sex sometime before that) the other man recovers to find that his friend dies and he is in Limbo untill the main character dies...y? because hes the last remaining warewolf...

so this man slowly loses his mind and becoms a warewolf, he kills yay...then wakes up naked in a zoo where u can see glimpses of his p***s...>.>.....errrrkay then...

SPOLER ALERT he dies (DUH!) but in a stupid way, he turns into a wolf, ok...he kills people in a porno thearter....interesting...he then gets backed into a alyway where his love interest calms him down...by then the the police men FINALLY shoot him...its like they knew "okay boys lets wait untill we see the wolf become sane then kill it"

so they show his love interest in shock then shows the main character dead and naked....so whats next the funeral scene? her recovering??? his friend finally leaving into ther afterlife?...CREDITS??!!!! THE HELL!!!??? they show him dead not a SPLIT SECOND afterwords they cut to the credits?? no unacceptabe

yes this movie is odd for its time the graphics were goos for its time, there blood, sex.... 70's english porn, otherwise its shot the ending sucked but the makeup.affects was good...urgh i hate it yet i must give this movie props....-sighs- 3/5 only a 3 causde for its time the makeup was good...

That's called post-modernist filmmaking. It's actually a really common mode of filmmaking present in films since 1950. It's designed to make the viewer ask questions about the film and draw their own conclusions.

Contrary to popular belief, not all films are supposed to answer every question raised and lead the viewer by the hand. If every film were like that, the film medium would be boring.

"Con Air"

Nicholas Cadge stars in this action movie. Heres the plot, nicholas cadge is a prisoner leaving on a plane because hes being released from prison. BUT the plane gets highjacked by some of the countrys deadliest criminals....and dave chapelle.

So Nicks character must survive the plane, overthrow the takeover, and get home in time to see his wife and child. (aww.)

now im gonna try and do this review in a pro/con approach

Pros: Good casting, good storyline, action, explosions, blood..eh not much but good enough. Nice ending that made me chuckle a bit.

Cons: cliches to spot, cheesey music, a running gag that got less funny (with a bunny)

hmm all and all a 4/5 i likes it, the cons in "con air" bad joke can be overlooked. i say watch it.

"An American Warewolf in Paris" sometimes, sequels are better then the original, this is one of them, it its still..cheeseyish but better then the original.

So it starts off as 3 american daredevils, one of them (the main character) Saves a girl from killing herself (aww how sweet) now this is the main problem i had with this movie, this character was a stuuuuupid guy i mean stupid, and seemed desperate too. i hated him so much...BUT towards the end of the movie the character delelopment kicks in and he actually becomes a sane person. ...yay

now this movie set in a good my guess 10-15 years after the first movie, which is fine. The graphics got better, the makeup was good. It has some cheesey humor but that was fine. The ending (not a spoiler) also cheesey but eh it was ok at least they didnt cut it off after the main character died on the spot -looks at the first movie angrily-

alright so, much better then the 1st movie ill say, yes theres nudity..pervs, decent acting, etc....all and all i give it a 4/5 its a good "junkfood movie"

I'm going to prepare my own argument for The Mist as well, I think. Though it's not a great piece of cinema, I think it's misunderstood.

"The mist" (with some..not all but some spoilers)

From stephen king, the guy who made you afraid of clowns has made a movie. The setting is the same as most of his movies. The casting was quite good too, im not sure how much it is to the story he wrote but i liked it.

We open to the main character painting, if u look ull see the cover of john carpenters "the thing" and the dark tower. So a storm came and things are destroyed, alright. Then they see a mist comming in which is odd.

The main character and his son go into a supermarket with a religious nut, some mlitary folk, locals, and his neighbor whos an a**. The mist comes and takes over killing people.

The mist...is as we learn creatures you would see if there was a "silent hill" in space. yeah the creatures are like that, BUT nicely done. i wont spoil the origon of them but lets just say....military (easy to figure out with the military folks nearby)

well people turn to savages, the religious nut becomes a group leader...and i applauded yes applauses when in the eat of those assholes the nutjob leader finally gets shot. yaaaaayyyyyyyy

Allright some excape and then A TWIST...now stephen king is known for his endings, mainly cause his endings dooont live to the hype of the rest of the movie.. (take "IT" or example) but this...it was a pretty good twist like M. night shamaalamadingdong...yeah i forgot his name so i said it like that. But the twist was odd unexpected and it kind of make u question god in that movie.

I give it a 5/5 not im not trying to overhype this or anything but. theres good grapgics, creatures, blood, a unexpected twist. well mildly expected but still good. the acting was good, the character development was put in the right place....so...5/5

I think you need to do a little more research on your movie reviews. The Mist is not a Stephen King movie, but rather, is a movie based on a short story written by King. Granted, some people will refer to them as "Stephen King movies" but that really is a false signifier, because if anything it's a Frank Darabont movie, and not a King movie. The ending was not really a twist ending (really, we all saw it coming), and I'm not even sure if it was part of King's original story. Furthermore, I would argue that King is not best known for his endings, but more for his ability to make his horror stories incredibly human. I do not find any fault in his endings at all. IT, in both film and novel forms, ended on the perfect note, though in the film the ending was not as well prepared for as it was in the novel.

While I will say that this movie, like Darabont's previous adaptations of King's work, The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption, it is worth seeing --if only for the stunning visuals -- it is far from perfect. Tom Jane is wooden and Marcia Gay Harden overacts like hell. Though based on a King story, I feel like there were plot elements missing and ones that didn't need to be there. While the ending attempts to be tragic and deep, it really just falls flat in a mess of symbols and moral dilemmas. I mean, really, (spoiler) the deaths of all those characters at the end were totally unneeded. It attempts at tragic, but only manages comic and grotesque.
