"I'm sorry." Shawn said a look of disgrace on is face. "I couldn't protect you, I only got in the way." Shawn feeling much better sat up, he rubbed the back of his neck, feeling a bit frustrated. "I need to train, if I stay as I am, I will continue to be a weak human, that Lycan 'Vance' was a trained assassin neither of us could stand up to his might." He said not really able to look at Emily in her eyes. "I guess what I'm saying is, Emily maybe we shouldn't see each other for awhile."

Shawn eyes whipped to Emily's, he quickly grabbed her by her shoulders and schooked her abit. "Emily listen, that wouldn't work and you know it, we need to be seperated for awhile. It will be harder for him to track us that way and he can't attacl us while we are in public." Shawn looked away. "This is killing me to do this but, I need to go to my father and train, if I can get stronger than I can protect you even with Lycan strength, I have no fighting experience." Shawn let her go then kissed her on the cheek. "If you need me call me." He said standing up, he needed to find his way home. Looking to the woman that helped them. "Excuse me can you tell me how to get back to the city?"

Vance grew restless in bed and he jerked awake panting and covered in a cold sweat. thoughts of quilt and shame flooded his mind as the realization that he had failed finally hit him. he grabbed the pouch necklace on his nightstand and from out of it he drew a brilliant silver cross that was pointed at the bottom like a needle. as he turned it over intently inspecting it his hands began to break out in a rash that soon became a burn. he ignored the pain and placed the tip of the cross to his chest. he was ready to plunge it into his heart when a voice from inside his head screamed at him, it was his masters voice "an honorable warrior does not give his life until his task is complete, only after your job is finished may you take responsibility for your mishaps" it was one of his master's first lessons and with tear filled eyes he threw the cross to the ground. "no....not yet.....there's work to be done" with new found conviction he opened his window and unleashed another howl that could be heard for miles over

Emily looked at Shawn but I had to quickly look away. Seeing the look on his face and hearing his heart beat made her even sadder. She wanted to help him, but at the same time she didn't want to. She was still upset that he was leaving to go get stronger. She didn't understand why they couldn't work together to become stronger.

"I've choosen already." He was surprised to see his book bag still on his back after all that,pulling it off his back he reached inside, pulling a pen and paper out. He found a smooth surface alongside the cavern's wall, and began to write to his father. After maybe two minutes he folded the letter so it would be easier for Azrael to carry. Shawn handed the letter to Sky and sat near Emily, he took her hand in his. "I'm staying, only thing my father could teach me would be how to kill a lycan but not how to protect one, I wish to stay with you."
