Rin's eyes instantly went up to where the demon was indicating. Oh, great. Mike was up. Hmm... why charm him? He really hated the little brat, why not let him live in confusion while everybody else knows what's going on, but he doesn't? Actually, Mike wouldn't be the only one who doesn't know exactly what's going on, he hadn't a clue himself, but he could act like he did. "No, don't jinx him." He didn't give the demon reasons. Then he wondered about Heather and Lillian, of the ages 9 and 6. He didn't really care about them, either. Let them be confused, as well. "And... let's not charm Heather or Lillian, either. Let's see if they can figure things out on their own," he stated. "In the meanwhile, let's go. How much stuff do you have?"

Ludique turned, letting go of one of Rin's hands. She held his left hand with her right, affectionate, as if to pull off the appearance of a girlfriend. She walked slightly faster than Rin. It was out of habit, to make up for her short disposition. She was close, snuggle-like with Rin. She hummed softly, understanding that these were his siblings, he didn't want them charmed. Ludique had sisters of her own, evil, foul creatures with nothing better to do than ruin the lives' of others. Upon his latest question, Ludique spoke rather softly, blushing very lightly, "I won't take all my things, but I'll use magic to condense most of it. It is an awful lot, I'll admit. But the two of us should be able to handle it.. I hope. If not, I'll charm a different human and the three of us should be able to," She thought for a moment, then sighed, "If your friends were here, we'd be able to ask one of them to help."

Rin looked to the side, not exactly looking forward to carrying her stuff. As a matter of fact, he had no idea what he would even be carrying! What kind of stuff did demons have in their homes? Did demons even have homes? She said she did, but it made more sense for them to travel, so that if they were discovered by one unlucky individual, they could quickly move on, because really, Rin couldn’t have been the only human to ever wonder what was beyond the boundaries, and she couldn’t have been the only demon. "Umm... how many trips?" He wondered aloud. "How far away do you live? And, uh, I don't know, they might be there, maybe plans have changed, but it's not likely," he told her, just in case she wanted to go looking for them and found them there.

"Only one trip, if we're lucky," Said Ludique, though she looked like she was thinking for a moment. For a moment she thought of reading his mind, but the idea of losing her tongue quickly put out that fire. So she remained ignorant of his thoughts. He's lied to me, Thought Ludique, aware, and a bit peeved at it. How dare the human lie to her, then try to cover it up! Did he not understand who he was dealing with? Was he not aware of what she could do to him? Wait, he hadn't answered her question about guns! Deciding to later question him about it, the demon left the house with him, looking about. "I live on one thirty-fifth street, only a few minutes away.. maybe fifteen or twenty, actually. It'll be fine," She stated, having to pause at some points. She wasn't aware of how things were in the light, with so many people out in the open, not scared of something unseen. No, most of these humans were completely at ease, while Ludique held to Rin's hand, and stayed close to his side. In the distance she heard Rin's name, though her hearing was enhanced through magic. It was a boy's voice, and it drew closer and closer. It wasn't familiar to her, but this was obviously a friend to Rin. It was behind them, and she knew it'd be coming into Rin's hearing eventually. She read its mind, and the mortal was surprised to see Rin so early, confused at the girl, but excited to know that the two could hang out earlier than normal, since Rin was up earlier.
Ludique held back a laugh.

Rin, slightly haughty at having to help the demon invade his own home, reluctantly followed the demon. "Thirty-fifth street is a fifteen minute drive away. Can you drive, demon? I can't, and if you can't then it seems we're stuck at a standstill." As he told the demon this, she seemed slightly distracted, and also slightly amused. Just then, he heard a high voice call his name. Rin twisted around as quick as he could to see David scurrying toward him. David was his best friend, but not right now he wasn't. Irritation prickled at the back of his neck. Why couldn't David see that he didn't want him nearby right now? Then again, how could he know? It was impossible. So, instead, he smiled brightly as his friend came by, and said loudly, with a tone that suggested he play along, "Ah! David! Back from camping already?"

Ludique grasped Rin's hand a little tighter, a bit nervous to meet someone his age that she couldn't charm. Little kids and moms were different. But a classmate, someone she would have to talk to? When the friend was close, Ludique gave the appearance of a shy, quiet girlfriend. She watched David, her height of five feet and five inches having her looking up slightly. "Bonjour," She muttered, out of mere habit. She blushed, to add more to her being the "shy, quiet girlfriend." She spoke again, still quiet, "I-I mean hello," She was close to Rin, sides touching, appearing nervous. She hoped he'd realize it was an act, if anything. She was no longer amused, it appeared.
Ludique held back the urge to charm the human.

David didn't reply to Rin's question, possibly out of a lack of knowing what he wanted. Instead, he turned his gaze to the girl cowering at Rin's side. Rin was blushing as he felt the demon come closer to him, very near to his side. He couldn't decide if it was flattering or infuriating. Maybe both. Either way, he once again smiled to David and told him, "Why, hello David, meet my new girlfriend... er..." Of all the times to forget her name. It started with Lund... something. Lund... Lund... something french sounding... "Lundelleque." That was wrong, and he would face the demon's wrath later, but it would have to do for now. "She's native to France, that's where the funky name comes from."

The demon was indeed angry for the mispronunciation, but just blushed and watched David. "He calls me Lundi for short, always forgets the pronunciation of my full name. It's Ludique Marie, and to my parents, names like Rin are the funky ones," She deflected it back to Rin subtly. Ludique stayed close to her "lover," as if a bit scared of David. "But, it is a pleasure to meet you.. David," She looked, for a moment, like she struggled with pronouncing the name. She did, but if questioned, she'd pretend it was for show later. "We were just going to pick up my things, would you like to help us? It would be a snazzy time if all of us were to hang out!" Of course, the demon would use outdated slang. She stood on her toes, placing a kiss to Rin's cheek, and muttering in his ear very, very quietly. "I'm supposed to be a girlfriend that's been with you a while, remember? Just coming home from a month-long trip to France?"

Rin's eye twitched as she corrected him. Oh yeah. Lundique. That was better that Lindelique or whatever he had said her name was. For effect, he face-palmed himself and gave the both of them a very fake apologetic look. It was intended to be real, but as Rin was a horrible actor...
Then the demon told him that they were supposed to be a couple for a while now. His eyes darted down to the ground out of nervousness. He didn't want to charm David, but if he kept messing up like he was doing, there might end up being no choice. "I lied earlier. The dem- I mean, uh, Lundi, reminded me that we broke up for about a month there, but she came back to America when she decided she missed me too much. We were dating for about a year or so before I dumped her, though, I'm surprised you don't remember her..." of course Rin would do anything to make her look bad over him looking bad.

Suddenly Ludique glared, and then put on a sugar-sweet smile for David, keeping his attention as she rather harshly put a singular stomp on Rin's foot. "I just couldn't stay away from his stink and his way with words. That month visiting my parents, whom I hadn't seen in over a year and a half, just wasn't worth being away from my dearest Rin," Oh, how obvious and angry this demon was. But as she read David's mind, he was falling for it. These humans were so dimwitted! She put her arms around Rin, body close to his. "If you continue to make me look bad, I'm going to charm him into thinking what I want him to think about us," Which, of course, would be along the lines of what his mother thought, and Ludique would even put Rin through the torture of having to kiss her. She could tell he didn't want that- it was a threat open to any interpretation.

Rin sneered to himself at her sarcastic flattery. Well, if she had said it sincerely, he would have taken it very highly, but she said it with that tone that suggested she was just getting back at him, and that irritated him. Then she threatened to charm him, and he knew he would have to do something different. It may not be in any way true, but it would have to do, "Yeah. I lost my temper at her. I have a really bad one, as you know. When she told me she wanted to leave for about a month, I only saw red, and I just dumped her there, on the spot. Then I called her in France a month later and told her I missed her and she should come back, so she did, and here she is." He smiled at her with a hint of 'there, you happy?' in it. David was giving them a look now, that suggested he really didn't care about details.

Ludique smiled back, and then looked again at David. No longer the shy little girlfriend, she spoke, "Well, do you want to tag along? We're going to my place to get my things; mom's been asking me when I'd move in," The demon removed her arms from Rin, holding his hand again, but softly. She was delicate with Rin sometimes, like she could hurt him if she didn't mean to. She could read in David's mind that he wanted to know more about her. He thought she was odd. He thought she would be trouble. She held back the urge to do something to this human. Her, odd! Her, trouble! As if! Ludique stayed close to Rin, simply for comfort. She wouldn't dare admit it, but being near Rin, even if he was smelly, well, it gave Ludique a very strong feeling of comfort, to the point she even rested her head against his shoulder, watching David for his response.

Rin's face flushed once again as the demon put her head on his shoulder. It was difficult to admit it to himself, but he secretly kind of liked it. Or, more likely to him, that was his lonely side kicking in, and taking any kind of affection, fake as he knew the demon's was, very seriously, because he'd never been shown any affection by a girl before. It would happen even if it was some stranger he'd never met before... like the demon. There was no possible way that feelings could have developed over the night they've known each other, especially not when the most friendly feeling he'd felt to her so far was anger. But David seemed to think that they were deeply in love, and shook his head, "That wouldn't be any fun because Rin would be spending the whole time goggling at you, and he wouldn't even talk to me. Um, I gotta go, my mom just sent me out to buy some groceries..." his friend told them, but Rin could always tell when David was lying. Not wanting to pressure him, though, he told him, "Not to worry, I would rather choke than goggle at her, really, but I get where you're coming from. You have fun getting your groceries, eh?" And he walked off, his hand around one of the demon's wrists.

Ludique blinked at being moved so quickly away. She followed, having trouble catching up for a moment. Once she did, she noticed Rin's blushing face, and laughed, a soft, melodic sound today. "Oh, could it be that the Almighty Rin has feelings for the Lady of Evilness Ludique?" She, herself, wasn't a lonely person. She was content without anyone or anything. Sure, getting laid was something she liked every now and then, but love? Feelings? The demon felt at ease without it all. She ignored his comment of how he would "rather choke than goggle at her." He couldn't really think she was ugly; she was very attractive, she knew, by human standards.. even by demon standards! She walked close with him, though. She didn't like the sun-world. She wondered if he could tell that she was uncomfortable, but didn't try to make it obvious. She didn't want him to know about anyone or anything that frightened her. She didn't want him to know any of her weaknesses at all. She was scared he'd use them against her.

Rin glared at her, instantly freeing himself of any close feelings he might have felt to her. "In your dreams, demon." It might have been his imagination, but the demon seemed to be feeling a little uncomfortable, as well. Was it because of him? The idea enraged him. So, he was feeling a little happy that she leaned her head on his shoulder, why would she get all angry about that? Was he really that terrible of a person? Clenching his teeth, he twisted around, feeling more offended than if she had told him to shower.
