Chrono Crusade - The Next Generation. OPEN AND ACCEPTING!!

Hearing her goodnight as she vanished from sight, Melthos muttered a goodnight of his own in silence. Closing his eyes with a sigh, he gave another glance to the moon before letting himself drift away...

"... -ira... Zemira... Zemira, wake up..." Morning had arrived, and the Sinner loomed over the Apostle, his hand firmly on her shoulder. For some god awful reason, he couldn't for the life of him get her to wake up. What a heavy sleeper she was! Still, he was being calm about it, as shouting wouldn't get him anywhere.

Shifting in her sleep she then felt the weight of something. Wincing a little she opened her eyes slowly from being tired. Placing a hand up to her eye she rubbed it childishly before looking up. Though that was suddenly when she realized Melthos was looming over her. Blinking a bit in confusion she then felt her cheeks burn with color before she shoved him away. Pulling up her blankets she hugged her arms around her chest."PERVERT!! Why the hell are you in here!!??"Shouted her voice loudly as she shook her head. As usual her hair went out anywhere and everywhere except for being straight. Shaking her head she slipped out of her bed quickly her cheeks still burning. Though she heard snickers and glanced out of her room seeing Mary pass by. Oh! She was going to pay for this one! About to chase after her she stopped seeing Joshua wearing a serious look. Sighing deeply she looked to the ground knowing what was coming.

Shaking his head at the apostle, what was he going to do with her? Yesterday she slaps a sister and yells straight in her face. Though Anna had recieved punishment chores for tripping her. He had to now deal with Zemira. Waving his hand to her to come forward he held out a list."For your actions.."Murmured his voice quietly but she merely nodded taking the list before he turned to go on with his duties.

Honestly, Melthos didn't care much in particular about Zemira barely waking up or that her cheeks for some reason were flushing out. Only when she shoved him back did he care, as her strength was misinterpreted and he ended up getting thrown against her bookshelf. As if the impact didn't hurt enough, the number of books that collided against his head didn't help the matter at all. Rubbing his head, he glared over at the door where Mary had been. How the hell did he allow himself to listen to her on this one? By the time Zemira began dealing with Joshua, Melthos got back to his feet and moved the fallen books back in place. Rubbing his head as he walked over, he peered over at the list to see what all she had to do today...

Nodding as he left, she then peeked down to the list her rouge colored eyes widened a bit before her jaw dropped. GROCERY SHOPPING, CLEANING THE CHAPEL, AND ON TOP OF IT GETTING WATER FOR THE LAUNDRY ROOM??!! This was going to take a while which caused her to sigh deeply. Well she'd better get dressed and ready for the day. Though her eyes glared over to Melthos a little seeing him looking at the list. Snatching his shirt a bit she glared up to him."Out! Now! I need to get dressed!"Screeched her voice as she dragged him over to her door. Shoving him out she slammed the door on his face. As usual another beautiful morning with the oh so cranky Zemira. Moving over to her mirrored table she sat down brushing her hair quickly. She placed them into two long braids before slipping off her nightgown.

Slipping on some clothes she walked out tying her apron before looking to him. She'd go grocery shopping first since it was best to go in the morning. Sighing she shook her head hoping Anna got worse."Lets go.."Murmured her voice quietly before she walked off to the kitchen getting the list and money. Nodding a bit to then she walked out of the Order.

Seeing what the list had to say, Melthos glanced away as he almost felt sympathy for Zemira. Of course, that's what he wanted to do, but a fierce grip upon his shirt changed his gaze back onto her. For a brief moment as she glared at him, there was this kindled rage within her that literally... scared him. Once dragged out the door, he stayed in place as the door was slammed in front of him, his eyes practically small balls of shock. After a good while passed, he had moved to the far wall when the door opened again. Looking up, he blinked when he saw her choice of outfit today. Seriously, did this girl not dress like a normal Sister? Hearing her command, he straightened up and followed her out in silence...

Walking out of the gates she then sighed gently her braids falling over her shoulders. Peering up to him a bit, her eyes blinked once. Yawning she rubbed her eye a little showing she was no morning person. Looking back forward she was greeted by simple hello's and goodmorning from people passing her. They of course knew her from seeing her do chores for the order. Smiling she nodded once to everyone of them before reaching the little shopping center. Looking about then back to the list she began to grab random ingredients before handing the people the money. Smiling as she was greeted by a young man who was used to seeing her. He had a big smile for her and flustered cheeks from obviously liking her."Good morning, Christopher.."Chimmed her voice sweetly as she nodded to him. He usually carried her groceries but noticed Melthos but didn't say anything. Instead he walked alongside her talking about the recent activities in the little square.

Following along with Zemira, Melthos felt like he truly wasn't there to begin with, since the folks who greeted the Apostle paid no attention to him. Blinking, he wondered if they would run into any of those folk that had seen him kill people... Eventually, they arrived at the shopping center, and Melthos actually followed Zemira about and did something to help. The help, of course, consisted of reaching for some ingredients that were just out of Zemira's normal reach. After the ingredients had been bought, Melthos took the initiative and picked up the bags, though he noticed the gentleman by the name of Christopher close by. Seeing that the male didn't mind, the Sinner followed along in silence as Zemira walked while chatting with Christopher.

Finishing up the grocery shopping she giggled a bit at some of the things Christopher said. Shaking her head she then looked back to Melthos a bit. Then she remembered the chore list and immediently stopped chatting. Grabbing the bags from the both of them she almost began to flail about."Its already this late!! Oh no, no, no! Uh.. See you next time Christopher.. MELTHOS!! Lets go!!"Exclaimed her voice a bit fusterated but oddly cute which left the boy dumbstruck slightly. Running forward carrying the bags she had a lot to do. And the chapel wasn't so tiny. Jumping over a guy that was bent over tying his shoe, she scrambled back to the order giving the groceries to the women in the kitchen. Except they of course looked at her as if she were crazy to be busting into the room. Grabbing some of the cleaning things from the closet she shut it running out barely missing Joshua. Running down the path to the chapel she entered it before setting down the items falling back tiredly."Ugh.. Next time.. I'm just gonna keep my mouth shut.. Stupid Anna.."Grumbled her voice irritatedly before she closed her eyes a bit tired from running.

Continuing to follow along, Melthos eventually found his hands empty as Zemira hastily took the groceries and exclaimed about the time. As she ran off, he blinked for a moment, looked at Christopher, and then ran after her. Returning to the Order, he watched her run about trying to figure out what she was doing next. When Joshua appeared as Zemira disappeared, he sighed as he walked over to him. "Was this punishment really necessary?" he said blandly to Joshua.

(By the way, really like your avi. Reminds me of an Espada from Bleach. ^ ^)

Chuckling a bit at watching her run about. She was quite amusing at times, but his attention was stolen from her and focused on her sinner. Smiling he shrugged a bit before looking out the door where she had ran out."Well, yes.. I suppose.. But Anna got just as much of a punishment as her.. Though Anna needs to learn how to treat an apostle.."Murmured his voice before he nodded looking to him. Though shrugging he walked down the hallway sighing though shaking his head.

Sitting up, she sighed figuring it wasn't going to get done unless she did it already. Standing up on a pew she reached up getting some cobwebs down. Though she soon found herself singing once more. Jumping up she began to dust idly and wipe away the assorted glass windows. Working quickly soon all of the dust was upon the ground. Look down she landed upon the ground sweeping the floor quickly.

Listening to Joshua's answer, Melthos sighed to himself when he was alone. That wasn't much of an answer, really, but at least he knew that punishment had been paid in due. Heading over to the chapel, he opened the door just as Zemira was working on sweeping the floor. Seeing that she had things under control here, he left her be and did something strangely nice. Collecting some buckets lying around, the Sinner went to find the source of water the laundry needed. By the time he came back, all four buckets were filled and ready. With care, he walked to the laundry spot and placed the buckets down there.

(No problem. I see, well it looks good. XP )

Finishing the floors wiping sweeping she then came back in with her bucket and a scrubbing brush. Since the chapels flooring was wooden. Singing a new song, it was nothing other but Sing Sweet Nightingale. Her mother used to sing it to her sister and her. Smiling she scrubbed the flooring a few children that were visiting the chapel to pray stopped at the door. They peeked in shyly as she sang out gently scrubbing the flooring dilligently. She could have everything taken from her, but her voice and of course her singing. Though she didn't mind for being able to sing. It was only one of her strong suites. Stopping though she glanced up seeing the children. Smiling she got up looking to them a bit. Bending over to look at them better she smiled even more."Hello, would you like to pray..?"Asked her voice incredibly soft and sweet. Watching one of them nod, she offered her hand before leading them to a pew avoiding the water. Releasing their hands she moved back and began to sing once more the song she had been singing. It'd be only maybe a few more long moments before she finished.

Once the buckets were dropped off, Melthos nodded to himself for a moment before he stopped and stared straight ahead. ...Why the hell was he helping out her, a Human? He swore before that this was not something he would do at anytime, and yet here he was... Perhaps it was because of the bond... or maybe he was growing an attachment to this Human world? ...Absurd! Grumbling to himself lightly, he made his way back to the chapel to see if Zemira was still there or not. Standing at the doorway, he peered in to confirm his assumption. For now, he would wait outside...

( No problem. Well, I'm off for the night. See ya tomorrow! )

Singing quietly she scrubbed dilligently almost as if this weren't a punishment chore. But rather a relaxing time for her. Though once finished she dried the flooring with a clean cloth smiling a bit as she sang. Finishing up everything looked rather polished and beautiful. Walking over to the children noticing them looking about amazed. Muffling a quieted giggle she looked to them a bit wiping her hands on her apron. Holding out her hand as they looked ready to go."How about I'll walk you to the gate..?"Asked her voice extremely soft for once. Watching the eldest child hesitate a little before taking her hand. The littlest ran forward grabbing at her other hand causing her to giggle and smile. Walking forward with the children she then looked up noticing Melthos. Blinking a bit she then looked away stubbornly leading the children away from the chapel. As soon as she reached the gate she waved them off a bit smiling. Children were so innocent, it was cruel how some would suffer just from being alone or orphaned.

Waiting in silence, Melthos watched as Zemira came to the door and escorted the children away. As she did this, the Sinner entered the chapel, though he kept himself levitated so that he wouldn't dirty the floor again. Moving to the front of the chapel, he stared ahead at the cross, the symbol of God. "...Are you there, God?" he said calmly, though he doubted that anyone would hear. "... Of course not. You're never there. When us Sinners escaped from Hell to deliver our own form of retribution to this world, you sit up there in your white heaven and have Humans do your work for you. Not once do you show your power and smite us back down, not once do you do anything to help those in need." Turning away from the cross, he added, "We Sinners know what you do... We know that, even if we kill off your Apostles, you will simply create more. The truth is, though, we will continue to kill, and kill, and kill... until there is no one left for you to place your power on. By the time you sent your angels in, Humans will be no more, and you won't have anyone left to convey in. ...Yet, we know of your forgiving nature." Glaring at the cross, he stated, "When I'm good and ready, I'll repent for my sins..." before he left the building and walked to the main gate.
