Atsuko crossed him arms, thinking for a few moments as Artemis spoke. "I'd agree with her statement. Also you know his title, but what is his name? We have a few questions for you obviously before we can relax. Don't take any offense to it, if you're a rogue then you know how cautious we have to be" he added on with a small smile. Of course he was on high alert but that was how he always was regardless, the boy seemed so innocent he was half tempted to let his guard down but he had been fooled before. Only time would tell if that innocence was a facade or true.
His pet for the meanwhile was fast asleep somewhere in his coat, not aware of their current happenings.

Atsuma's hands would begin to tremble as the thought of the two rogues murdering him over their doubts seeped into his mind. No matter how hard he tried the two kept their aggressive tone towards him. Could he make a break for it? No no they would most definitely out run him. He wasn't very strong or fast. He knew this. Meek little Atsuma. The female's rudeness also hurt his feelings. He had put a lot of time into those paper roses. If one observed up close they would find that he had even folded the paper in a way that simulated a rose's texture. "I..I..I met him by chance I...No no this isn't a sleep over I...I'm sorry I didn't mean to disturb you all I am just lost! I'm no rogue you see I'm from Sunagakure look!" Quickly he fumbled through his pockets and retrieved his headband which bore the land of wind's symbol. Not a single scratch would be found on it as it was a gennin's fresh headband. "I don't know Turtle's name! He told me to call him that...I guess it makes sense for you to be cautious of me, but I just want to go home I swear!"

Artemis eyed his trembling hands, waiting for him to react. If it came down to it, he'd probably run over fight, but it didn't look like he was shaking from adrenaline or even fear. The way he talked was more indicative of general anxiousness. She moved her left hand into her pocket, feeling her brass knuckles, when he revealed a Sunagakure headband. She had no reason to distrust that village specifically, but she had no reason to trust that they were passive or even welcoming to rogues and wanderers. "So you're looking for an escort? What kind of help were you going to offer H- Turtle if he helped you?" She wasn't sure why Houou would trust this man in her home if she didn't trust him with his name, but he did offer his title over an alias, so maybe that was enough to go off of. She looked at Atsuko and gave a tiny shrug, since she had no reason to disbelieve the man, though she'd be more comfortable if their medic was here to confirm."It's a little convenient that Turtle isn't here to validate your claims," she thought aloud.

Walking through gaping entrance of their base, Houou froze in his tracks. Feeling the tension in the room, he had only expected to see the young Suna ninja that he had granted temporary asylum. To his surprise, Atsuko and Artemis has also returned to the base. Quickly scanning the room, Houou looked to see if Roxas was also nearby. With his eyes setting back on his two companions, he realized that Roxas was nowhere to be found, and that the current situation was much more serious than he was prepared for. Houou knew that why he had done was forbidden, and he had to accept the consequences of his actions.... even if it meant being cast out of the family.
"Dragon, Phoenix please allow me to explain my actions, and why I revealed our old abandoned hideout to this young man."
Houou blurted out as he took a knee before the entrance. He fought the urge to lower his head knowing that they would take it as a sign of weakness. He knew that they would catch the fact that he said old hideout and continue to put on the facade.
"Atsuma, please give us a moment and wait outside. I will escort you to wherever you need at another time."

Atsuma bowed and quickly walked away from the three and towards the base's exit.
Toya had met the wrong member he soon realized as the turtle appeared. His name started with an H. The female had opened her mouth a bit too much. All of their personalities were becoming apparent in this small exchange of dialogue. The way he acted made Toya assume the group had a militaristic view on things. Him taking the knee in front of everyone was rich to Toya. He almost burst out in laughter, but he knew he had to stay put. Atsuma would have to continue putting on his little show of pity for them. But he couldn't just leave the room and not hear what the three were going to say. But that damned Uchiha is is here with his eyes opened!

Atsuko seemed to pause for a moment, hand going to his chin as if he was lost in contemplation. This wasn't as much of an issue as it all seemed but it was a learning experience if anything else. In fact he seemed to have come to a decision rather quickly, a hand motioning for Atsuma to stop before Atsuko would finally speak.
"It's alright. It should be obvious to him that this place isn't in any operable condition, so there isn't much of a threat to show him the location. You can tell me why later. For now all it means is that he holds a token of our trust, if people suddenly seem to find this place frequently we will know that the trust has been broken" Atsuko explained, eyes locked firmly to Atsuma's. They were steady, crimson red, but didn't seem to hold any killing intent. No. The eyes simply held confidence and an unwavering stare.
"I'd introduce us but I don't know your name yet, which might be for the best. I will call you Gray for the time being. If you keep this location a secret then you may at least have some place to come back to if you ever find yourself in trouble. We can't offer to much help as of right now as we are rather busy but I can offer that at the very least. As long as you keep our trust of course.
Now to get to brass tacks.
Turtle were you able to get the communicators? We will keep at work so long distance communication is vital. Phoenix and I have had good fortune on our own missions that I can give more details on later, with a few benefits that you and our other members can use as well. With that fortune I also plan to start on renovations sooner rather then later so I plan to take care of that once I leave. This means if there is any ryo you are able to spare do it now, hard to say when we will be able to meet up again.
As for the rest of you well I take care of that and a few other errands I'd say we only really need to continue working on training, gaining more funds, and experience in the field. Right now might be a bit tedious but its necessary.

On top of the information he had stated Atsuko himself had just given the boy even more, being almost glaringly transparent. However that could be seen as purposeful. When he had stated before that facts leaking meant to a broken trust this only supplied more facts to Gray's plate. Artemis perked a brow at Houou's introduction, offering to explain. She wasn't terribly angry - probably wasn't angry at all, considering she almost dropped his real name. People make mistakes. But she knew Atsuko was going to decide whether or not to throw the book at him.
He didn't.
He carried on business as usual. Artemis was also interested in the communicators. "I believe I'll head out soon in order to purchase a license and likely get more of that field experience. Maybe grease some elbows in town." She spoke in a tone that made it clear she was offering an invitation. She was sure Atsuko was already on a track right now and likely wouldn't take her offer, but maybe Houou would. The new guy - Gray, now - would need to get back to his village. She suspected he wouldn't detour with her in order to take on some quick jobs.
She crossed her arms, but gave a light smile at Houou if they made eye contact.

Rising to his feet Houou listened intently as Artemis and Atsuko gave their reports. It seemed that he and Roxas weren't the only two that had been busy these past few weeks. Atsuko had responded with keen intellect, in regards to he introduction of Atsuma. If any information were to be leaked regular games their group or this location, young Atsuma would constantly have too avoid the vengeance of Shishin, not even his native village of Sunagakure was enough to scare them for long. However, Houou had a gut feeling that the young shinobi would not cause problems for them and even prove a useful ally in the future.
Shifting his focus to Atsuko's questions, Houou immediately pulled out the remaining two communicators as he bean to all toward his two allies. "These radios may be a bit bulkier than the standard communicators, but yet are untraceable others tying to infiltrate our conversations. However I am working on a much more effective means of communication focus all, something we can discuss at a later time. Also I have been quite busy myself, I have important updates to share once we have gotten in contact with Tiger, who already has his communicator."
Houou then flung a rather large sack from around his shoulder and dangled it before Atsuko. The bag slightly swung in a small circle, emitting the sound of coins that were colliding with each other inside.
"Aside from my personal funds, I've earned seven thousand Ryo for Shishin expenses. If more is needed, please inform me and I will gladly sacrifice the remainder of my earnings."
Making eye contact with Artemis, he returned her smile in kind. He had never gotten to adventure with her and this would prove to be an excellent time to forge a closer bond that would aid them in the future. "Looks like I'll be joining you for the time being Phoenix. I'm in dire need of some field experience, as well as some suiton jutsu scrolls in town. My elemental jutsu training is severely lacking."
Artemis accepted one communicator. She nodded as he mentioned their comrade Tiger, then offered up ryo for their team's expenses. Artemis slipped her knapsack off her shoulders and counted out six thousand of her own, putting it on the table Atsuma had been putting his paper flora on. She felt excitement as Houou mentioned elemental jutsu training. She had plenty of elemental jutsu under her belt. It would be fun to play teacher.
"Field experience sounds good. Remind me to tell you about some glass wolves." If her exit wasn't interrupted by any last minute business, she would leave the base and wave good bye to her friends, and Atsuma.

Atsuma's eyes widened in the realization that the red eyed man wanted him to stay put for what ever it was he was going to say. While the man talked, Atsuma realized he had only introduced himself to the man known as turtle. "M-my name is Atsuma!" He blurted out cutting Atsuko momentarily. Then he realized that he had been given a nickname for a reason. "B-but Grey is nice as well hehe..." The boy felt like a fool some times. He listened quietly to Atsuko speaking of the groups accomplishments and further goals. The air was much calmer compared to a couple of minutes before. "Does this mean they trust me?" The boy mumbled. It is odd how his thoughts were never pronounced as often as he could realize.
After Atsuko had finished his speech the boy realized how unlikely it would be for them to help him in getting back to Sunagakure. But getting there on his own would practically be suicide! He needed protection from the elements and they seemed like good people. He could help them! "I can help you!" Atsuma blurted out again. "I...I was only a gennin when I got lost from Suna, but I was also in a tournament. I came in first place so I know I'm not useless...I'm not bragging though it's just I don't have anything to prove...Uh..." Atsuma cut himself off before he continued rambling for too long.
Oh heavens how naive the marry band of rogues were. They had already put some of their trust into him. Things were going great...Now all he needed to do was create an actual bond with them to further his plans.

Atsuko was about to get going when he stopped in his tracks, looking back to Gray, who was now known as Astuma, with a raised brow. "I could bring you back to Suna. It's of no issue. I have other things I need to do but if you are a Suna nin then it might prove more dangerous then helpful" Atsuko tried to explain. Bringing him to kumo under that banner would be pretty dangerous for both of them, and any base renos needed to be kept under wrap.

Atsuko placed a hand on his chin in thought (see picture for reference ;^) ). He couldn't take him directly to Kumo, even though the boy seemed harmless it would needlessly complicate the start of an alliance with the village. Couldn't take him out to do the renovations as well as that would require a lot of secrecy preferably. Then again Atsuko did actually want to test this new comer, to see if he truly did want to help. After what might have been an uncomfortable amount of time he finally seemed to settle on an idea.
"Alright then. We will be heading to Takumi, hopefully get some work from the mayor there. Just stick close and relax, I've already been there before so it wont be hard to find work" Atsuko said prepping himself to go.
