Yin just reached down and snatched up two more bugs and then trundled back over to Alexander, bugs in hand. "I have completed my task Alexander." He then stared at the cauldron judgmentally. Was he not finished already?

At least Yin had an extra bug in his net. He reached in and pulled out a nice plump and juicy caterpillar and popped it into his mouth. Scrumptious.

Alexander had just finished dropping another few globs worth of dried bugs, trying to regain the quantity of liquid that he had lost, when Yin sauntered up looking quite smug with himself.

"I'm almost finished." He scowled down at the cauldron. It wasn't like he'd been messing around the whole time! He'd only really screwed up once, and that was barely anything at all. In fact, the cauldron was very close to being full now and ready to add the bugs.

"Just give me a couple more minutes, I'll be finished soon." He tried to ignore the fact that his bonded was popping a bug into his mouth to munch on. Gross.

Yin stared at Alexander as he "worked." Really, it was just playing with some liquids. He would have thought Alexander would be more experienced with this.

Why in Halloween would Alexander have any experience with any liquids? That was just plain ridiculous! Especially liquids when combined with bug parts. He had absolutely no experience with that whatsoever.

He could feel Yin's eyes staring at him, so he slowly poured in a bottle of freshwater liquid while staring back at him, in an almost challenging way.

Yes Yin, Alex is challenging you. What are you going to do about it?

Yin cocked his head at him, still staring. Bugs were pretty pro at not blinking when they wanted. "Do you have problems producing results if I watch?"

Alex didn't blink either. Zombies didn't need to blink. Zombies didn't need to breathe. Zombies were so much more pro then bug boys.

"I'm pretty sure I can preform just fine, regardless of if you are watching me or not." A slow smile spread across his face, and yes, this time it actually was a rather creepy smile, one that didn't reach his eyes at all as he continued to pour the liquid, and then stopped, tilting back the bottle with a smug look now upon his face instead.

The cauldron was at a perfect 8 pints, just where it needed to be for the final stage to begin.

Alexander was getting that weird look on his face again, but he was also done pouring the liquid. "Oh is it ready already?" Yin asked, intrigued as he looked at it. Without a second thought he dumped all of his bugs in. Was he supposed to add Fear too? That instruction must have slipped his mind...

TEAM ZOMBAIT: ALEX AND YIN

Alex quite happily replied to Yin with a "Yes, it's all ready. Just remember that while you're pouring you should imbue the mixture with your fe---" But it was much too late as the weremantis just dumped in the whole bag without a seconds hesitation, not even doing as they were instructed to. Or at least, if he did, he was doing a very poor job of it.

Mentally, he cringed, not wanting to chastise Yin for doing it wrong but at the same time a little disappointed in the other boil. "Ya, okay, or you can just do that." His voice was rather flat as he picked up the spoon at the side and began stirring the mixture, concentrating his own fear to mix with what little of Yin's had been added. However, he must have been more upset then he first thought, as it was quite hard to concentrate and it was clear that he was doing an incredibly horrible job of it as well.

Apparently Alex was the pot painting the kettle black, in this instance.

The harder he looked, the fewer bugs the boil seemed to find. Maybe he shouldn't have initially approached with such righteous fury. West pondered this for at least fourteen seconds before reaching the conclusion that these bugs were just stupid. Righteous fury or not, he would catch them eventually.

There was creeping and there was sneaking, and after all of that was done West found that he had netted two waddling bugs. He held the hole in his net closed so the crafty bastards wouldn't escape.

There! Up ahead he spotted a couple of butterflies resting on a rock. West approached fairly silently, but when he readied his net, he saw that one of his previous bugs had gone missing.

"JACKDAMMIT!" he shouted, scaring the butterflies away.

"Cool," Roch said with a broad grin. "I'm Roch," he introduced himself. "And... oh! You're Danny's new pal, the bird ghoul, right? Nice t'meecha. We need a team name, and hell, since it's just for a class... Team Punk Bird?" he offered. It was lazy, but they just had to write it on the paper, or something, so what did it matter?

"You wanna do the cooking or the catching?"

West gave chase to a scattering butterfly, smooshing one of its wings in his fingers and shoving it into his net.

That was more like it. West swung his net irritably at a passing swarm, heedless of the hole in it, but this time the move worked in his favor, at least for the moment. Five bugs. Aw yeah.
