"Oh, sure! Like that did any good, either! The backpack is too heavy for the glue, idiot!" he yelled back, huffing and ran again. He would use Skald as a spring board of sorts, jumping off of the hydra's shoulders and aimed a quick punch to the monster's face, where the glue had missed. He jumped down and rolled back to his partner and growled a little.
It honestly seemed like they weren't doing anything to his monster and just wearing themselves out.

"No freaking duh!" He hissed back, only for the damned stag to use him as a launching pad in order to punch the enemy.

"You are so steak after this, you b*****d!" He warned as the other rolled back to his side. He had half I mind to follow through on that threat now. The only thing stopping him really, was the threat looming over them. The same which received another punch, directly to the center of the face.

Uller had had enough of Skald's stupid words. He glared over at the hydra as he threw the punch and then just sort of sprang away to go hide. Screw this! He didn't need the stress of having to watch his back. He did not want another student fight on his hands!
Stupid hydra. Seemed everything with scales was way too out of his league. Same thing with reapers. Argh, why couldn't he find another deer?

Screw that!
Skald caught sight of the other moving away and immediately shot out a hand to seize the boil by one of his antlers. "Just where the hell do you think you're going?" He demanded, dragging him right back to where he had been just seconds before. "Weren't you the one wanted to do this so you wouldn't get in trouble? You can stay damned put!"

He yelped when he was grabbed by the antler like that and stopped mid run. Jack damn it that hurt! He had landed on the floor and looked up at the Hydra with a growl and pushed his hand off. "It's attached you know!" He said, standing up and rubbing the base of his antler. "Ugh! You're so rude!" He reached to grab Skald by the hair and yanked, thinking it would make them pretty much even. "It felt like that!"
He just wanted to hide!

"No really? I was kind of counting on that." He snapped back, and like you're one to talk!" He snapped back with a growl, only to let out sharp hiss and a yell when the other boil yanked his hair. "Try that again and I promise you, I'll pummel you into the ground!"

Uller was just, not happy with Skald right now. He just stood away from the hydra, arms crossed over his chest and just glared at him. Skald wasn't that bright, it seemed, with the comebacks or talking in general. "Shut up, you're making yourself look bad."

The other boil having left, Marosa took a little time in finding a textbook and two shoelaces. One was pretty mangled, while the other looked crisp and clean. How unusual...
"Oi'd sey yer pretty good at dat." Marosa smiled, then blinked and twitched at the huge shadow that seemed to appear out of nowhere. Just where the Jack had that thing come from!?
Picking up the textbook, he stared at it for a moment. Grabbing it by its spine, he threw it, trying to imitate the ninjas that Sharra told him about. Was this how they threw shurikens? He had no idea, but he would definitely tell Sharra about it later, hoping that he had done it right.
The black dog gave the shoelaces a questioning look, but said nothing of it. He was curious to know the owner of them, however. Even more curious to find why the difference in the condition of the two. "Nice... that is umm... an interesting find." He gave the other a grin, placing his own items down on the ground. Only to snatch them up a heartbeat later when something peculiar arrived.
"What on..." He blinked at shadowy figure a little stunned to do anything at first, other than a light kick to keep the figure at bay ( he may have lost Mei's headband in the process ). His partner however, was already far ahead of him, using his newly found notebook as a weapon.
"Tare were shoes hangin' by these... strings. Oi'm not sure... how t'use 'em in dis fight." He jerked his head at the thing that lay before him, hesitant on attacking, but when the black dog attacked it set Marosa's courage. He'd have to monster up and attack it, whether or not he liked the outcome.
Running forward, he launched a punch at the thing, wondering if it even did any damage due to the misty nature of it.
"Distractions maybe?" He answered and flicked the glowing mushroom at the creature when it swiped at him. Surely Jove wouldn't miss one of his mushrooms. Then again... maybe he just wouldn't tell him that he borrowed one. Yeah, that sounded better.
Once the mushroom was gone, the black dog leaped into action, alongside Marosa, striking the figure in the face, while using his claws to tear at it. Whether his attacks would do it any harm however, was questionable. Shadows were a tad tricky when it came to dealing damage. Regardless, it was better than sitting around and doing nothing.
"Hard to say. I'm not even sure what we're up against. Any sign of that Mischief?"
"No sign at'all, oi'm afraid." Marosa spat, a bit perturbed. "Wee bit o' a'coward."He grimaced. "Or it moight be a test." He shrugged, glancing to the black dog and grinning slightly. It did provide for some nice anger management, to have one let off some steam from this thing.
Whirling again, Marosa folded his wings flat against his back as he launched forward, striking out once more with his fists. He couldn't continue much longer due to fatigue, but he'd Jacking well try.
"Coward?" He repeated the word and grinned. "Nah, I doubt that. They're pretty strong you know, those Trick or Treaters. They like to test us, so I'm assuming that this is the 'initiation' he was speaking of before." Now he took the chance to give the other boil a nod. "Best not to be failing then, right?"
With that, he gave a quick spin and slammed his heel into the figure, seemingly dealing more damage than the figure managed to deal in return.
The unreliable Toter suddenly disappeared, leaving mess to them. AJ looked at the creature which wasn't moving at all and their supplies. Some shoelaces they "borrowed" from other students in the open area, the desk from a classroom, feather from Ren and a textbook. Well not really a textbook, but surely it was a book they took from the library. Hope the librarians didn't mind.
"Let's do it, Ren" He winked at Ren while grabbing the thick dictionary and threw it to the creature.
Bingo.
AJ was happy as the book landed hard on the forehead of the creature, he seemed to see a swelling. He turned and high five to Ren without noticing the creature's counterattack. A cut was made on his arm.

"Aye." He glanced around warily. "Looks like oi have a fair bit ta learn. Apologies," He stated to the other, hoping he didn't offend.
Marosa attacked a third time, putting gusto into his hit before he recoiled back to stand beside the black dog. "Oi think that'll do it," He murmured softly, brushing himself off and making sure most of his skin was covered, and clothes intact. He was being strangely meticulous about it, even going so far as to brush his hair over his shoulders, giving a satisfied sigh once he found that everything was in place.
