Zephyros' tongue stretches out quite far before his eyes slowly turns to stare at Matteo. Then they look down. Then they look back up. And his brows raise.
"Wha ah yah... Maaahaayoo.."
He tugs at the strings before he's distracted by the teacher. The list of ingredients are interesting, and he tilts his head to say the least. While he tries to get the string off his tongue, he ponders in what items to get.

"All right, all right!" Zephron waved his hands, smiling a bit as he hopped up onto his desk, long legs swinging out in front of him. He gestured to the little heaters on each table. "Now that you've chosen your potion ingredients, it's time to mix them together!
"But - " He added, with a pointed finger at the students. "be careful! Your potion needs to stay at a temperature between 100 - 110 degrees (Fahrenheit) in order to heat properly! Going too far over or too far under could wind up with disastrous results."
Zephron clapped his hands together. "Now.
"Go forth and make things."
STAGE TWO
Each potion starts off at 90 degrees. Roll 1d10 and RP accordingly! Keep rolling until you wind up at your desired time!
** If you reach 10 rolls and still haven't managed to get to the right temperature, then you can simply move on! **
1: You add the first ingredient too quickly, and the mixture bubbles over, cooling off. -5 degrees. 2: Your ingredients are mixing together quite nicely. +5 degrees. 3: Well, you splashed yourself a little, but it looks like you managed to add them in a reasonable time frame. +5 degrees. 4: You get severely distracted by something shiny. Oops. -10 degrees. 5: You are very delicate in your handling of the ingredients, which means you did a great job in adding them carefully. +5 degrees. 6: Is it cold in here, or is that just you? Wait, nope, it's just you. -5 degrees. 7: The person beside you accidentally knocks into you, jostling your arm and making you spill. Dammit. -5 degrees. 8: You just sorta toss your ingredients in, but it seems to work anyway. +5 degrees. 9: You are one fantastic ingredient-adder person. Just look at you go with all that precision! +10 degrees. 10: You accidentally add the wrong ingredient at the wrong time. Oops. -10 degrees.

Ren may or may not have been whining a bit.
"Vaith why are you rejecting me, I haven't seen you in so long and you just push me away, like why would you do that man, why would you just leave me and then reject me and dude this is just how I show my brolove - "
This spiel went on for several more moments, Ren still clinging obnoxiously to Vaith's middle, even as Vaith was attempting to push him forcibly away. He gave a sideways glance to Merope, lifted one wing, and patted the other boil on the head with a wingtip, finally letting go of Vaith long enough to straighten his vest and adjust his suspenders.
Then he saw Merope's accusing glare.
"I didn't do it."

Bite? He sure hoped not. What was with his history of the undead biting him, anyway? Was he tasty? Did the love that Southern flavour?
Tossed from that thought, the class began. The fact these creatures could learn about potions that brought upon memories was horrifying. So they really did teach unscrupulous things here after all. Otto's mind shivered, but his golem remained still.
He too would not be referring to the teacher as H. For the most part he didn't want to have to talk to him at all. Sammy's comment put a weight on him. Hunter haters, like her, were dangerous.
The golem calmly approached the table after slipping on some gloves.

"I'm not kissing a**~. I'm defending Freya's honor." He chimed back at the darker Valkyrie. Defending Freya came with perks. Perks that Hel couldn't give him due to it being weird and gross because now in the Muut's mind ... it was considered incest.

Kettil responded to Freya's hug and response to Ren with a grin and a return hug to her when he let the other boil's hand go. "Well, as long as you say Ren is wonderful I will believe you." He wiggled his nose after she kissed it.
Ren was now off to lovingly assault someone else, "True bro love~~~." Way to help Kettil.
As Freya told him he made everything better he chuckled a little at her as he started to settle in to start following direction, "I make a lot of things better but I dunno about everything," he replied sticking out his tongue.
He started to add his ingredients but unfortunately one was at the wrong time. His potion didn't seem to be to be off to a good start.
Kettil wasn't worried, "So. Want to wager on who can make the best potion, Freya?"

When it came time to start making the potions, Astra started to sort out all her ingredients next her cauldron. She had to pause, frowning as it was difficult to do said sorting when she had to reach up to the table. This problem was soon solved as she dragged a nearby chair and stood on that.
As the fairy ghoul began to put her ingredients into the cauldron, she felt someone bump into her and caused her root powder to spill all over the floor. She immediately turned around to glare at said student and made notes to throw something at their head later.
Returning to the table to retrieve more root powder, Astra made sure to be extra careful this time as she added it to the cauldron, and was delighted to see the thermometer go up in response.
After waiting a little while, the fae picked up a few of the dry leaves, crumbling them up in her hands and letting them fall into the cauldron to mix with the powered root. It appeared the potion was coming along nicely, and she leaned over the pot to watch the ingredients swirl around inside.
Waiting patiently for her components to mix well enough was very relaxing for the fairy. With the smells of the dry items all around the classroom, it reminded her of the times she had watched her own father concoct his potions. Measuring out the powders, muttering words of magic and watching in apt fascination as the potions would change into the most amazing colors.
The potion she was working on wasn't doing much of that, but she was enjoying herself as she added the chameleon tail and saw her temp had shot up to a very stable heat. She couldn't hide her smile, and sat on the edge of the table much like the professor had as she waited for further instructions, meanwhile looking at everyone else to see how they were doing.
Just as Monty was about to lean back in his chair again Professor Z. had sat on his desk and begun to talk. Monty listened and starred at the little heater in front of him. When professor Z had finished giving what little instructions he did give, Monty pulled his goggles down and pulled his gloves up to make sure they weren't going anywhere. He watched a few of the other students for a minute before he looked back at his heater and then picked up and dropped some of the Hounds Tooth into the cauldron. A small poof of smoke came from the mixture "uhh that can't be good," he muttered to himself as he watched his temp. drop

Just as Monty was about to add some of his Chameleon Tail his arm got hit making him drop it on the floor. "stupid." he glared at the other person and back to the floor where his Chameleon tail was now just a pile of dust. He got up went to the front of the room grabbed another and went to walk off when he quickly turned to grab one more just in case. By the time he got back to his seat his heater had dropped a few more degrees.

Monty leaned back in his chair for a moment as he watched his heater trying to figure out what to do next. He got a small chill on the back of his neck he pulled his jacket up a little more and reached over to check the heater but just as his hands went to touch the sides of it the temp. dropped again "ugh this sucks."

Getting annoyed with his temp. dropping for what to him was no reason, Monty grabbed up some of his ingredients and tossed them. He leaned back in his chair waiting for some kind of explosion or fire or who knows what to happen. But the only thing that did happen was a few small bubbles started popping and his temp. started to rise again.

A small grin came over his face as the temp. went up a few degrees, "hmm I wonder?" Monty watched as his cauldron bubbled a few more times. He grabbed up his ingredients again and tried to add them in the same way he did last time. Everything was going okay till he added his hounds tooth before his dragon scales. Then the only thing that happened was another poof of smoke and the temp. dropped again. "you've got to be joking." he made a fist and hit the corner of the table.

At this point there wasn't much he could do to mess his potion up anymore it was already probably way to cold to make a difference. He grabbed some of his dragons scales and dropped one in. Just as he almost expected a poof of smoke and a little hiss came from the cauldron and not to any of his surprise the temp dropped again.
