User ImageKagerou blinked as the cards were revealed, wondering if what she saw was a trick of the eye. It was not. The cards did not carry the numbers and suits she had expected them to and instead showed pictures of Jack and her, each on their own cards. When he explained the presence of a third member to the squad, someone named Takeda, she could only assume that a picture of Takeda would be behind the third card. It would be really useful to see a picture of Takeda. Would help her find him and everything so she could talk to him like Jack suggested.

However, it wasn't her place to go and touch the Mizukage's things without his permission. Kagerou replied, "I understand. I'll try to find and talk to this Takeda without giving away that we're on the same squad. I'll also keep quiet about the squad arrangements in general until some sort of official announcement has been made about it," just to show that she was still following Jack. How she would find this person she did not know would be a problem she would solve on her own later. Right now, Kagerou reached out for her card, and her card only. Grabbing the slip of rigid paper between her thumb and the base of her index finger, she brought it towards her. She inspected her figure on the card, wondering where she should be marked and how.

When the answer came to her, red eyes focused intently on the card. The seal on the card triggered and transferred to Kagerou's right hand, where it inscribed a blank rectangle that stretched over her palm and fingers. To see the whole rectangle, she would need to close her fingers together. Otherwise, it could be easily mistaken as a bunch of stray lines running over her fingers. The corner of the rectangle were slightly rounded and, in fact, it looked just like an outline of the playing card Jack had handed her. Kagerou didn't really have anything she wanted to mark her body with, so the playing card (without her image on it because that was just weird) became a conveniently obvious option. After all, she was looking at it while thinking.

Kagerou decided as she looked over the tattoo after neatly setting Jack's playing card back in its spot besides the other two, There would be, no doubt, times when it would be more advantageous to not have a conspicuous mark. Show rather than tell and do rather than show. What mattered, in the end, was not that she could flaunt the mark but that she had it.

When the Mizukage began speaking once more, Kagerou nodded in understanding throughout. She hadn't expected the new living conditions, but it was probably about time she started to live independently of her parents anyways. Anyways, nothing she couldn't handle. Otherwise, there was nothing in particular that ruffled Kagerou.

Not even the Mizukage's sudden return to Kagerou's question about following her parents or his high expectations for the simple genin she was disturbed her calm. She merely continued to smile as her usual happy and relaxed self. A little surprising, maybe, but once Kagerou had heard it all, she thought she understood. Actually, she accepted the goals as a given, While she wasn't one hundred percent sure if she even had the ability to meet such lofty goals, she wasn't nervous about it either. She worked hard to help others, and if that made her into one of the greatest ninja this village had ever seen, then it did. Conversely, if she hit the ceiling of her abilities sooner than she had expected, then that was also fine. So long as she had some way to help others, Kagerou was fine. What would happen, will happen. No worries.

Kagerou stood when the Mizukage extended a hand to her. Following the flow, she took the hand and promised, "I will do my best. I am honored to be under you care, Lord Mizukage. Please take care of me." She bowed slightly, just a bending down of her neck, out of respect to the man before her.

When she raised her head, Kagerou quietly looked to the Mizukage with patient eyes. Sure, she had questions to ask and much to say regarding everything she had just been told even if she was calm about the entire matter. However, Jack appeared to be trying to close the conversation. Understanding that the leader of the village was no doubt incredibly busy, even more so than usual with the task of re-assigning the village's ninjas still unfinished, Kagerou calmly waited to follow his lead.

Takeshi walked into the Mizukage's Tower with a sigh, it seemed has of yet joined a squad, something Genin need to do in order to learn from a teacher and to learn the importance of team work.

He ran his fingers through his silky soft red hair as his golden eyes were looking ahead of him as he continued to walk, his black coat that he wore had rigged on the bottom as they reached his ankles as he wore black baggy ninja pants and normal ninja shoes, his sword was diagonal across his back.

He reached the receptionist and looked toward her, noticing her blond hair and gave her playful wink. " I am here to see the Mizukage. I'm Takeshi Mibu and I need to speak to him about my squad placements." He spoke out softly as he waited to see what happened.

-----[ F ] or a moment his gaze lingered upon the new visitor from the Village Hidden in the Clouds, wondering who he was. Given that the last time Jack had been anywhere near the village had been during the Nibi's sealing what seemed a few years ago now it had not left much time for him to learn the names of any of the shinobi there. The only known he had received the pleasure of learning was Samuru, Kinpaku, Myurai and a giant named Wanryoku. That no new names had reached him in his time since was strange.
-----'Who is this boy, that he is entrusted with such a diplomatic mission?' This thoughts echoed into the ether as he considered, sitting atop the highest rails of the tallest coasters of his dreamscape.
-----Taking his mind in hand and, for the moment, ignoring it the Mizukage nodded genersouly before turning his body towards the door, his posture one of invitation. "I am," he mused, his words polite and cultured with a wistful tone. The white gloves he bore upon his hands creaked as the leather shifted to form a 'follow' gesture. "If you would be so kind as to accompany me, I can find a much better location for our talks than here." Words having barely left his mouth the Mizukage turned and moved for the door, the clicking of his cane against the wood methodical and rhythmic in a strange way.
-----Pace coming to a temporary halt beside the exit the Clone did not look towards the child huddled fearfully beside the doors to his office. Instead his gaze swept the view, the entire village hidden behind mist that would obscure everything were it not for the Mist Goggle technique he kept upon himself at all time. "The time I set aside has elapsed, Minowa," he proclaimed, the memory of that particular order finally coming to fruition at the forefront of his mind. "My original has requested that one of us inform you that once it has you may enter his office, as he will wish to speak with you personally. Please, make your way there, and do not hesitate to enter." Bowing his head, one gloved hand touching where a forelock would lay to keep his hat from sliding, the Clone continued forward around the edges of the building, his expression a mix of amusement and wonder at the structure that lay behind his own.
-----For there, where none before had laid, was a small log cabin only large enough for a single room. The rails, so lovingly crafted, were but a false imagery made by a physical illusion he had worked on for this occasion. Despite the falseness of the illusion the delicacies within were very much real, their lid-covered platters steaming as they were kept up by nothing less than chakra. Stepping through the well oiled door, pausing but a brief moment to run a languid caress upon the doorknob carved with the seal of a tesseract, the Mizukage entered and revealed the interior. The symbols of Kirigakure were exposed quite prominently on one half of the room, with images of its past, and current, present upon the walls. Across from it, hastily crafted with the flick of a wrist, were images and objects of statistical books he had read over the last six months as he studied the history, both recent and long ago, to get a better understanding of his neighbors. A large banner bore the standard of the Cloud behind the rather simple, olive upholstered chair. Moving to take the teal upholstered option across the round table upon which a map of the entire world had been carved in exquisite detail, Jack sat with a flourish of his coat before leaving his cane to stand, perfectly self balanced, beside his chair.
-----And so it was that he waited, hoping his companion had followed him, and awaited him to take the clearly designated seat.

-----A resounding crack might well get Inka's attention from the scroll for a brief moment to reveal that Jack had brought his hand crashing down flat upon the table and was not standing stock still, his spine steel. Eyes downcast, closed tight as if in some sort of internal pain, Jack's voice came out a bit more rigid than he intended. "I did not tell you so that you may spread this, Inka," he retorted, using all his willpower to rear back any venom that might be present in his tone. Sighing, the pain leaving him as he faught back the murmers of his mind, the Mizukage raised his weary head to cast a glance at the newly appointed Adviser. Ignoring the sweat that precariously perched itself at his temples, Jack straightened and relaxed. "I...I do not want to give out this information to him, not to hide the truth but because of a lack of knowing just what would happen." Gesturing with one hand to the neat organizers, he continued with a somewhat calmer tone. "I have had others observe him since the restoration began, given what the Sero had done to him physically. We have no means of determining what the Sero did to him mentally, and simply put, without your permission and his I cannot begin to unearth those secrets."
-----Sighing in resignation, knowing that this was the very reason he had offered Inka the position, Jack raised a weary hand and ran it through his hair, wishing for the upteenth time for his hat back. That hat had been a gift to him the day he had entered the academy, during the first time an ANBU had been called to restrain him. Despite the clear issue with his utilizing advanced forms of Genjutsu upon a child, the ANBU captain at the time, the very man he had seen as a monstrosity, had realized that Jack had bore no ill intent, and had simply been pursuing such matters with altruistic intent. As a life lesson about gifts, the ANBU had purchased that hat and given it to the young Mizukage, imparting a bit of wisdom that stayed with him to this day.
-----Shaking free of the memory, for now was not the time for such things, Jack considered how best to approach the matter. 'Time is running out', he reflected, thinking back to the orders that had been hastily expressed to his clones. Should any of them find the time elapsing they were to make haste to Minowa and inform him to 'come hither', as it were. 'I truly wonder if he will come, given Inka's presence here.'
-----Inhaling softly, clearing his airways of negativity with its release, the Jounin turned to eye Inka with trepidation as he clasped his hands in front of him, the Jack Harren Snipe alternative to crossing one's arms. "Let us keep this between us until we know for sure, as we do not yet understand the damage done upon his mind. Telling him that we believe one of his father's might yet live could potentially set him off into a burst of anti-socialism, and that is not something we need when we are training him in the arts of the shinobi, let alone in being human."

-----As the final piece of the building melted away, the physical illusion vanishing into nothing more than mists, a clone of Jack that had been left behind moved to follow after Red with haste, for he could already see his brother-clone calling over two more. The instant the two passed through where doors had once been the walls began to reforge. As if from the tree itself mist rose in a calm swell, the white-grey thick enough to obscure even the brightest and most massive of object within. Sounds of clattering, creaking, and cracking emanated from the obfuscated border of the structure, only to dissipate a mere moment later as Jack bowed low to Red, a simple gesture of gratitude for her time.
-----Turning to cast his gaze upon the two gathered by his brother-clone, Jack held out a hand and willed a change in his illusion. Immediately his outline distorted for but a moment, the shadow-stuff of his form whispering outwards into his waiting palm, extending downwards to touch the earth even as he began his alacritous walk towards the waiting pair. The rapid staccato of his steps would surely announce his presence if nothing else did, yet still the Mizukage cleared his throat and lowered his wolfish eyes to that of the young girl named Nozomi. This one he had spoken with before, and yet never about the changes he meant to make in policy, so a part of him worried as to her reaction of the coming news, though it would not change his final choices in the end.
-----However, his vision swiveled to the new person, the reports he had received noting her as another Aburame. Strange, that he had not seen this new insect wielder when visiting the compound but a month before, yet time had been scarce, so perhaps it was not such a surprise as he had originally thought. It was to the latter he spoke first. "Greetings, Taylor Aburame," he began, his words imbued with the proper amount of respect and enthusiasm as the situation warranted. "I am Jack Harren Snipe, the Mizukage of Kirigakure no Sato. As you can see you are speaking to two clones, and to that I apologize as I wished I had enough time to speak to you all at once. Please, come with me, and I will speak to you personally." Eyes turning to Nozomi, Jack continued. "As for you, Nozomi, will you go with my other clone?" Nodding in respect to her, Jack gestured for Taylor to follow before turning to return to the new building that had just been formed.

-----For the clone with Nozomi, that Jack reached upwards and tipped his hat to her, the feather swaying gently in the sudden breeze that caressed the tree tops with a lover's touch. Lowering his cap back to the top of his head the clone turned and gestured for her to follow, his steps moving slow enough for her to follow despite the desire for haste. "It is good to see you again, Nozomi," he quietly queried, though the words were phrased more as an open ended statement. "I hope your wait was in no way torturous. Our new secretary is untried, though she does try her utmost to fill Yuri's shoes." This was by no means a lie, for he did believe she attempted much. Thankfully, for the moment her job was quite simple and would not take much in the way of time from her.
-----Moving towards the edge of the tree, Jack decided to approach this bit a little different than the others, for Nozomi was a free spirited type his thought better when the open air or oceanic depths assaulted her senses. In this case the great lake below would simply be too great a distance for him to reach with any amount of haste, and for the moment those waters nearest the Sero proved a danger with the long weeds close by ready to grapple with those too foolish to remain above them. As such, the clone groaned as he sunk to his posterior, resting legs over the edge with eyes cast upon the village below. 'Strange, to think this place is all mine,' he mused, only barely resisting the urge to rub his chin in thought. 'I wonder what she thinks of it now? Perhaps the question need not be asked.'

► Genni Genjutsu [ Strengthen Genjutsu ]
By having the Sakkakugan active during a genjutsu, the user powers up the technique to the point where it can no longer be discerned as real or fake by non-Sakkakugan doujutsu. In addition to this, if the afflicted manages to find out they are in a genjutsu, it will require an additional [15] chakra for them to activate Kai. It also takes as much to use this technique.
► Izumi no Seirei → Custom Belt Buckle
Triples the recovery of chakra/stamina, the amount of which depends upon the method used [Must use listed methods in guild rules for base recovery cost]

► Tattoos and Contingencies → Open Spoiler

||→|| [All Tattooed techniques are stored using the Time Sealing technique, and made permanent by Tattooing and set storage length to "9,000 Years". Activation requires chakra to be placed into it via Contingency or direct use, but fuinjutsu never fades due to it being tattooed] ||←||

► [Chain] Contingency || → A fourth dimensional object tattooed upon a two dimensional plane, it causes a slight headache when looked at for too long.
Has several triggers locked within it that can activate depending on actions taken. The triggers are listed below, as well as the effect that occurs. Unless triggered effect is awakened, fuinjutsu does not appear to be a technique in nature, though double sensors will see a faint trace of chakra within the formation of the technique. Read technique description for more information.
• When right pinky is curled into a ball, but the other fingers are not, activate False Place Technique fuinjutsu, placed left of the Contingency tattoo, as per direction. Unless otherwise specified by twitching the right big toe at time of casting, Genjutsu will draw from Tensa Fuin above heart for upkeep.
• When the middle right part of upper lip is nipped with teeth, activate Voice of Persuasion fuinjutsu, placed just above belly button. If left upper lip is nipped with teeth, activate Voice of Terror instead. Unless otherwise specified by the twitching of the right big toe at time of casting, Genjutsu will draw from Tensa Fuin on right wrist for upkeep.
• When left foot is angled at a nine o' clock orientation while the right is at a one o' clock orientation, activate Scattering Ashes fuinjutsu placed above the center Contingency tattoo after two second delay. If "stay" is spoken before time is up, this Chain is stopped. At time of casting, destination must be within Jack's mind, else the fuinjutsu is set to transport Jack and all in contact with him to his Island. If successive casting is required for destination to be reached, cost is paid automatically. Unless otherwise specified by the twitching of the right big toe at time of casting, jutsu will draw from Tensa Fuin to the above right of the Contingency.

► Tensa Fuin || → Tesseract Tattooed to the Upper Right of the Contingency
Allows the storage, and retrieval, of Energy such as Chakra, Sage Chakra, and Stamina within it, without limit.
_____→ {2 5, 6 0 0cp} // {1 6, 6 6 2sp} // {1 4, 7 7 7sc}
► Tensa Fuin || → Tesseract Carved Into Cane Just Beneath Cap
Allows the storage, and retrieval, of Energy such as Chakra, Sage Chakra, and Stamina within it, without limit.
_____→ {2 5, 6 0 0cp} // {1 6, 6 6 2sp} // {1 4, 7 7 7sc}
► Scattering the Ashes || → Shape of small candle flame above Contingency
Acts as technique of the same name when Trigger is activated or chakra placed into it.
► Voice of Persuasion || → Violin shape three inches below heart Contingency tattoo.
Acts as jutsu of the same name
► Voice of Terror || → Mask of fear shape three inches below heart Contingency tattoo, just right of Voice of Persuasion
Acts as Jutsu of the same name
► False Place Technique || → Standing Mirror shape three inches below heart Contingency tattoo, just left of Voice of Persuasion
Acts as jutsu of the same name.

► Kokohi no Jutsu [ False Place Technique ] || → Anime C Rank [Set to Trigger]
Kokohi no Jutsu is a simple Genjutsu technique which changes the appearance of a nearby object. The object is no larger than a human, maximum, and can be interacted with as if it were the appearance given.

Inka Hizara
I have felt true peace in myself through three methods;
in death, in climax, and in desctruction. Only one has been by another's hand.

[・・・] With narrowed eyes, Inka rose, carefully, slowly, deliberately, rolling the scroll back up. Silently, he listened, even so much as waiting for Jack to end his pause and continue on. "You," he began, voice low and verging on a tone hinting at his parental dedication. "Do not get to choose his reaction for him. And neither do I." His anger came through not in raised volume or rough tone but in the perfect, clear ennunciation of crisp words. "Syy is his family. And so am I. If you have any cause of concern that our son would be of any form of danger to this village then I assume you would have already put measures into place." He stepped closer, spine straight. "To give him hope that Syy is alive, then to take it away, yes. That would hurt him. And myself in the process. But to keep it from him, how could I ever expect him to trust me? Or anyone in this village. Telling him there is evidence lacking of Syy's death, it may well just give him something to aspire to in learning the 'arts of the shinobi.'" The red-eyed Jounin countered. "Right now," Inka tapped the scroll to the desk. "He needs to find someone to trust. To show him it's okay to open up. Hiding information from him will not encourage that."

Nozomi stood and did her best not to show curiosity when the tree obviously changed behind Jack. He walked towards both Taylor and herself and once he got to the right distance he wanted, the golden wolfish hues lowered itself to her. Nozomi had to pry herself away as it went down to look at the floor, or rather, his cane. The red haired female still wasn't used to Jack's presence. For some reason, he always made her feel different than anyone else in Kirigakure. Her chest hurt. It wasn't because of this situation, but her chest had been hurting for few days. Stress? Exhaustion? Maybe it was the exhaustion, she had been swimming more and sleeping less. Two clones were created, one for Taylor and the other for her. He spoke to Taylor first as Nozomi remained quiet, his voice was kind and gentle. Taylor should be okay. If Taylor turned to look at her, Nozomi can only give her a reassuring smile that could be slightly seen behind the mask. Her attention was pulled when her name was called as she nodded and quickly went after to the other clone. Her brows slightly furrowed in confusion and curiosity to what he was doing. They got out of the office as she inhaled deeply.

Silently, Nozomi followed his footsteps as she was curious to what he was doing. He spoke, first mentioned that it was good to see her again, "As well you, Lord Mizukage," she replied with softness and care in her voice. Nozomi gently shook her head, "The wait was not awful. I do wonder, are you okay sir?" She questioned softly. All of this, it would not been easy. Was he eating? Had he been sleeping? I mean, right now, Jack, he was the shape of a twig and it concerned her. Nozomi smiled slightly behind her mask, she should try fatten up Kumotake and Jack both. Nozomi almost felt like herself and a kid again when Jack had sat down at the edge and dangle his legs 1000 feet up in the air. The young Aburame followed, she sat down by him as she pulled down her mask and take in a very deep breath to inhale the salty ocean air. Her eyes gazed over anything blue waters as she had the sudden urge to go and swim again. Brought her arm up, Nozomi turned her head away from the Mizukage and coughed few times before she cleared her throat, "It's beautiful. Really though, is everything okay Mizukage-sama..?"

Catching a glimpse of her sisters smile she let out a breath and followed the Mizukage's clone to his real self. She examined him for a brief moment, not sure whether to remain standing or sitting. She didn't offer much in the way of a greeting but she was taught rather sternly to let someone in authority speak first. Her greeting took the form of a very proper and polite bow, contrary to the clothes she was wearing; those being mostly streetclothes and a hoodie that seemed to further hide her diminutive form from prying eyes. It was almost as if she could disappear in those clothes, being a little loose and baggy on her. Not to say that they were falling off but she didnt fill out the legs and arms of the clothes even though. She let herself relax, she had her focus bug still on her arm and this brought her to speak despite her teachings. Her voice was a little small and reserved but it didn't tremble and was at least audible. "Greetings Mizukage Snipe. I hope these past few months haven't been too taxing on you?" She said stepping up to the back of a chair and resting both her hands on the knobs of wood on its back.

-----[ F ]or the moment Jack simply wasn't sure about what to do with Inka, let alone with others. It was clear from the growing list that shinobi were appearing faster than he had intended, given their sincere lack of drive seven months prior. That the small piece of paper before him on his desk seemed to draw its own lines as names were added to his list did not surprise him so much as the sheer number of them. Sighing, Jack closed his eyes to reconsider that, perhaps, his original intentions needed...adjusting.
-----Lifting his gaze across the great view beneath, the Mizukage waved a hand before him and scattered the clouds below, allowing him to observe the village in greater detail. That such things were possible would likely get at least an eyebrow raise from his new adviser. "We need something...else," he muttered, his voice low but pitched to include Inka in its sweep. Eyes never blinking, he continued. "Our shinobi cannot waste away here, and these meetings, though I require them still, are clearly not what I need to be doing. Inka, I have something better in mind. Take your genin, and three of my cards." A wave of the hand indicated a deck of cards to his side, each marked with a strange shape that hurt the eyes to look at long. Fourth dimensional objects tended towards such things.
-----'To abandon this plan...it could be better, or worse, without prediction.'
-----The thought rushed him despite his best efforts, and for but a moment the mask slipped. Exhaustion was written everywhere upon his flesh, in the dark bags below his eyes, in the slight shake of his hands, and the somewhat glazed look in his eyes. Sleep had come to him little over the six months, especially with the sheer amount of work he'd needed to personally do. His Wells hadn't shifted at all, neither gaining nor losing as he frequently expended whatever he gained. The strain was simply getting to him, though the village simply must never know. A moment later it was gone, as if it had never been.

-----The clone continued staring silently at Kagerou for a moment longer before releasing the hand and reaching for a cane to his side. The whispers of his shadow stuff fell away from the body of his clone and rearranged into the form of his favorite cane. Odd that this thing above all others remained unchanged, always at hand. That hat had been his most treasured position for years and now? Now it was this cane, the last of his personal treasures to survive his travels. Resting the tip upon the ground, his eyes returned to the girl who waited on him so patiently. 'This one will be interesting to raise beside Takeda', came the amused thought. So full of purpose and energy, with a peppy outlook while others would rather see doom and gloom. Curious. 'At the very least, I can assume it means I will be getting less sleep than I already do.'
-----Turning to the doors, Jack took a step to the side to extricate himself from the tangle of his chair as the table and walls began to unravel at their seams. The buildings began to dissipate, but it bothered him not at all as his smile remained fixed in place despite the relief he felt. "I must check in with my original. I will be sending Takeda to you shortly, but I expect you two to meet at your new facilities. There, you will find your personal gear waiting, including the mark of your time here in Kirigakure no Sato." Bowing low, showing her the respect she deserved, his body, too, began to destabilize and fall apart, though he cared not. "See you shortly, my apprentice." And with those last, echoed words the Mizukage was gone.

-----As was his want, the clone remained silent for several moments after Nozomi's thoughtful question came to bear. Eyes fixed out upon the city he allowed just a bit of the natural world to flow into him, the power of a Sage collecting within him at the peace. Yet it did little for him at the moment when it came to talking, let alone understanding, a young woman who seemed Hell bent on believing she was the cause of all of this. Her words, her actions, spoke of a self inflicted wound that would never cease, no matter the proof to the contrary. Given what he knew of the mind, however...'Do I really have the right to say anything?' he wondered, his thought echoing as a pebble in the still pond. 'I know better than most the damage a mind can inflict upon its host body.'
-----Finally he responded, though with a lowered voice, as if those nearby within the office may hear. "I do better than I did yesterday, though overall? I grow weary," he sighed, before a brief chortle broke his glum. "Once this is done perhaps I shall take a nap upon my desk?"

-----This new, young female seemed nervous. Odd, that, given that she knew nothing of him. New to the village, only truly coming in after the village had been rebuilt, she likely knew nothing of his colorful and strange past. Was it perhaps the appearance? Again, odd, given that Jack wore the outfit of a ringleader, with a carney's hat upon his head. Perhaps it was the eyes, with black sclera and golden irises, similar in nature to that of a hungry wolf's? The meandering trail of thoughts ended when the female decided to speak, and a question politely asked was always well received. Allowing his cane to fall, to shimmer and separate into the shadowstuff of his form, Jack leaned heavily upon the arms of the chair as he sank slowly into its crimson upholstery with relish. Moving was taxing most days, and here he had been moving and tired at the same time.
-----Only once he had made himself comfortable did Jack wave for her to take her own seat. "I thank you for your concern, but no. I have spent long hours toiling in the shadowy recesses of the world, and a mere six months as the Mizukage pales in comparison." In many way this was true, and not a lie. "And yourself? How do you find your newest home?"

-----An ANBU seemed to shimmer from the shadows, taking a step up behind the oddly colored Secretary with the blonde hair and white eyes. Leaning forward, face masked by some sort of grotesque monstrosity, the figure spoke hastily, and silently, into her ear before retreating back into the darkness. Looking down in shock, she hastily wrote something upon her clipboard and waited, knowing that her time was short.

-----Looking down upon the paper before him the Mizukage considered the hastily scrawled words, a mirror to what was being written outside. Resisting the impulse to keep all of his commentary within he sighed and leaned forward, toying with the cap of his cane for a moment. "It seems the Daimyo of the Land of Water is coming to pay us a visit. Inka, see to it that Shadow and Red see pages three through ten, which will list your squads, the changes, and the orders. Take fifteen cards and disperse them equally among you. They will grants level one clearance for now." Gesturing out to the group, he continued. "Tell them as well. Your questions must be as mine, Inka. I need a report on their answers. What drives them, as people? What drives them, as Shinobi? Why this life when others are so much easier? Learn who your genin are, and inform me."

_____→ {2 5, 6 0 0cp} // {1 6, 6 6 2sp} // {1 4, 7 7 7sc}
► Tensa Fuin || → Tesseract Carved Into Cane Just Beneath Cap
Allows the storage, and retrieval, of Energy such as Chakra, Sage Chakra, and Stamina within it, without limit.
_____→ {2 5, 6 0 0cp} // {1 6, 6 6 2sp} // {1 4, 7 7 7sc}

Nozomi sat with the Mizukage nearby. It was quiet again and that was okay. Not everyone was chatty. She learned that. Instead, she looked out at the city and inhaled once again. She still remember Shadow's words. How she caused all these deaths because she didn't obey his orders. Over and over again, her mind would play that day in a loop as she tried to figure out to why he thought so. She stayed out of it's sight and did everything. Maybe he couldn't see her beetles? Maybe he was not aware that her bugs can also perform genjutsu? Jack's words quiet the loudness of her mind for the time being, but his voice was low, almost a whisper. He was tired? Makes sense. The burden of a Mizukage was not easy nor light. Heavy on the shoulders and on the mind too. How can she help him? She's a genin. Maybe she was not meant to help just yet. He tried to joke? With a soft frown, Nozomi turned to look at the Mizukage. "I... can't say that I understand the burden nor do I want to. But, even the most powerful and wise need to rest to keep the mind sharp and the body ready." With that, she tilted her head and smiled, her eyelids closed for a moment before reopening them, "Perhaps you should sleep for several months!" She lightly and it was a sad attempt of a joke. Nozomi had never been good with jokes. Ever.

She winced at her own bad joke, "Uh, can we forget what I just said?" She questioned towards the man, hoping to make light of the mood. But the intention of him wanting to sleep for several months, was there. It was meant to be good and well. With a gentle smile, she goes and attempt to clean up the little mess she made, "A nap at the desk would be nice. If it can become a bed." Nozomi tried to smile again but something tingled and she turned her head to cough few more times before clearing her throat and placed her hand onto the edge and her legs were swinging back and forth in the air.

E I G H T E E N C O U R A G E O U S W A R R I O R

K a i l e e r C e i n ' l y s
I'm broken, lying helpless, shattered, surrounded by the world. And yet you're smiling bright, completely blind to life.

R A I K A G E B U K I J U T S U - B L O O D L I N E H A K E M O T O

I'm breakable, unbreakable. I'm shaking yet unshakable.

[x] The young Mizukage gazed at me for a long moment in silence while I tried to keep up my facade of patience. Patience was a thing hard to come by with recent events so when he finally did respond with the answer I expected, I felt more relieved than I probably should have. He gestured for me to follow, turning away and taking with him that haunting look. I was no expert at reading people, but I had a knack for it, and that I couldn't get anything from him bothered me. Though I supposed it made sense; the few kage I had met were much better at wearing masks that I was. Still, some small part of me didn't trust the man before me. I blamed, again, everything that had happened for that.

Throwing a farewell wave over my shoulder to Inara, I followed Jack to the entrance of the building, and then through the doors, back out under the canopy that overhung most of the village. That was fine by me. Far too many people had gathered inside, and although none paid me any mind I couldn't help being overly aware of where I was. This wasn't the same village I'd left months ago, and I'd been given a cold shoulder then. I think that would have been more acceptable. Maybe it was because they were mostly genin, but they were far too comfortable in the presence of a stranger. Then again, the seals might have played a heavy part in that. The safeguard of assuming nothing could touch them within those giant walls could be dangerous.

Outside, the fog the village was named for settled heavily on the world below. Aside from the sun's glare somewhere in the distance, little penetrated the blanket of white; faint glimmers were the only view I got of the town. To the left of the doors, where the Mizukage led me, someone huddled against the wall. The blonde boy that entered before me. He looked vaguely famil--

The unasked question was answered before I could finish my thought, Jack proclaiming his name as he spoke to the kid. Minowa? What the hell? That couldn't be possible. He was, what, half that age when I saw him last? I said nothing--it wasn't like I'd spoken to him when I visited last anyway--but for a dreadful minute, I thought maybe their weird time loop hadn't ever really fixed itself. I left Kirigakure aged about three years older than when I arrived, and that had been disorienting enough. Just what the hell happened there?

I did my best to hide my shock and hurried after Jack again. He led the way around the structure, the only sounds passing between us the rhythmic tapping of his cane against the wood and the not-so-orderly clicking of the hilts at my side. There lay a single-roomed cabin with steady light flooding from its windows. Now, again, I wasn't the smartest or the wisest, but I was observant, and the little hut definitely hadn't been there before. Besides that, the two smaller stone structures were gone. My jaw clenched instinctively, but I held my tongue. Answers would be given soon enough, I imagined. Or maybe 'hoped' was a better word.

Inside stood a table covered with steaming foods, the scent wafting from it enough to make one's mouth water. Normally, anyway. Gods, Wan would have devoured both the table and everything on it if he could. The image brought with the memory in the boy Hono's home did not come as welcome, and I quickly shoved it aside. All in all, I wasn't really that hungry. Well, I was but I wasn't. Eating was another thing I'd neglected over the past week along with sleep because the stress made me sick to my stomach. Would it be rude not to touch any of it? I grimaced slightly and watched the Mizukage take a seat in a tall backed chair made with fine upholstery. Another of a different shade of green stood underneath a banner with Kumogakure's cloud emblazoned on it. Personally, I thought it was a little extreme, but I supposed it was comforting in a way. It helped my presence feel a little more accepted. "I can't decide if I prefer the constant mist or the constant storms." Apparently some part of me wanted to lighten the mood, because I said it before I even realized. "At least here I don't have to worry about flinching every time there's a crack of thunder." I stopped myself there, my gaze turning back to Jack. He'd spoken formally, so I had to hope that my habitual congenial speech wouldn't be a problem.

I sat a little heavier than I intended, not thinking until that point that I'd been standing for the last couple of hours at least. With it came the wave of exhaustion I'd been staving off. Damn it. I needed to get the negotiations underway. I didn't have the energy for all the niceties the man was showing me. Jumping into Zama no Chiyo would have solved this issue in an instant, but besides the fact that I wasn't sure if it would trigger those alarms mentioned, the States had been out of my grasp since before the attack. Too much bad blood flowed through my veins; my chakra couldn't settle.

Where should I start though?

The last time I'd done anything like this wasn't for negotiations; it had been to help out an allied village and do as I was told. But now I was on equal terms with the shinobi that sat across from me. He knew nothing about me and I nothing about him. Sighing lightly, I settled on an answer. "I guess first I should apologize for taking so long to come. You sent your representatives just as one crisis ended, and by the time we had the hands, another began." I left out that we were still recovering. That wasn't information I needed. I gave a sideways glance out one of the windows. "It looks like you've had your own fair share of troubles."

The room dissolved around Kagerou, to her surprise. The ever calm smile remained but her eyes widened in surprise for the short moment she had to look about herself before Jack's voice returned her attention to him. She listened and when he bowed, she did as well to an equal extent. She did not express surprise when the body of Jack's clone began to dissipate. By now, she had a notion that everything she had just experienced had merely been an illusion and that Mizukage's illusion had a tendency to disappear in a wispy way. On one hand, Kagerou recognized that such believable illusions was something she should be a little terrified of. Really, though, she didn't feel scared about it. They were of no harm to her, after all, and it was pointless to worry when there was no reason to.

Standing alone, now, Kagerou paused a little to enjoy the scenery before walking to the office. Right outside of it, a pale child sat alone. Well, actually, he looked around the same age as her, but the way he huddled made him feel so much younger. Kagerou couldn't think of a reason why someone would wait outside the office, but it looked like he wanted to be alone, so she merely smiled pleasantly and gave a short greeting, "Hello. It's nice out, today, huh?" as she opened the doors to enter the office.

CanoodlingFlibbertyJibbit

User ImageUpon opening the doors and seeing the state of the inside, Kagerou saw that, as she had predicted, it had become much busier than when she had been called in. It wasn't an unbearable crowd, but she could see those being bad with small areas having problems staying in the room,

Kagerou made a bee-line for the receptionist's desk, hoping to get there while the receptionist wasn't busy with helping someone else. She succeeded, and remembering that the receptionist was not a lady that liked to waste time, she made her question short and sweet, "Excuse me, I've just been approved by the Mizukage. As a genin, I think. He told me that I had new facilities where my personal gear is waiting. Where could I find these facilities?".

Kagerou received her answer and she replied with a polite, "Thank you," before turning and walking away from the desk. There were certainly plenty of people in the room. A few she recognized. Most she didn't. she mused, . She stared at a few of the males she didn't know, racking her brains for a suitable method to search for Takeda without tipping off to him that they were in the same squad.

In the end, she couldn't think of a way to move up her meeting with Takeda. It appeared that it would be best if she just followed the Mizukage's, plan of meeting him at the facilities. She guessed, from the directions the receptionist gave her, that the facilities were the various rooms jutting from the sides of the Sero,

Sighing in mild disappointment, Kagerou struck out in a random direction. Instead of leaving the office, she decided she was going to take this chance to meet someone new. Her decision led her to a corner of the room where a lanky male... hung? Well, that was certainly eye-catching. More importantly, it was ice-breaking. She made her way to his location until she stood right below him. He didn't look like he wanted to talk, but it also didn't look like he was busy. Neither did he look like he was going to get sick by talking to someone, unlike the kid Kagerou saw sitting outside the office.

Looking up with a disarming smile, Kagerou waved a hand to attract his attention, "Hi there. Hope you don't mind me asking, but what are you doing up there?". Despite asking why he was in such a strange place, Kagerou didn't appear disturbed by it at all, talking so normally that it felt like she was just casually speaking to someone standing in front of her instead of someone clinging to a corner of the ceiling like a spider in a dusty attic.

The boy twitched hearing a voice unfamiliar. A cold sweat, there was no indication that the individual who seemed to be taking to him was of aburame lineage. The pheromones that would be produced by insects were clearly absent from this individual and when it came to discerning normal pheromone signatures he was about as aware as any other person in that regard. A cold sweat began to form, one that seemed to make itself glisteningly present on his forehead. 'Me...talking to...me...tsss...why?' The empty black sclerals of the boy's eyes missing of any sign of pupils seemed to have shifted to see who the offender was who'd so break his reclusive sanctuary.

Was this a boy or a girl. He couldn't rightly tell the chest looked like a washboard. Speaking of washboard he ought to clean, do his laundry, it had been several days since then. Wait, ah what was it that he was concerning himself with? Kumotake's eyes strayed from the path that was Kagerou's person as if ignoring her or being enraptured by something incredibly philosophical. Then they shifted back unhesitantly out of nowhere like a gunshot aimed for the head. In a way one could imagine the eyes making a squelching noise not unlike horror movies when they moved at this instantaneous pace. Right, this man, girl, thing, initiated conversation. What was he doing up here? What, was this strange? I guess it was...

Alright, be cool. That was the top priority. He'd have to stray the beaten path of Nozomi and other Aburame and actually talk to a person. Bah, why did Inka enlighten him on the concept of boys love. It just made these interactions all the more stranger with strangers. Kumotake would have been left in this state for a good ten seconds of thought only furthering the awkward silence of the girl waiting for her response. Wait, the voice, was it feminine or masculine. Having his peaceful sleeping corner assailed from a stranger's words alone was enough to cause him to forget. Ah, but if he didn't hurry now surely they'd think him rude for not answering and leave. If this was the case then he will have missed an opportunity to try and integrate himself better into this villages society. A rock and a hard place. I mean six months and still no real friends and acquaintances aside from Nozomi and Inka...no he had to interact...he must... this whatever gender went so far as to take important time out their schedule to converse! With him of all people!

Suddenly the boy hand's would twitch. They would twitch not unlike his body did before when he was first addressed. Then what could be classified as a sickening pop or the sound of suction cups or a plunger happened in an instant. Be. Cool. He tried to remind himself. With Taylor it was easier to be casual. She was an Aburame and one who favored spiders to boot. This stranger...was a complete unknown. Unknown. How can someone be cool in the face of the unknown...somewhere a half boy half squid would sneeze. Finally another pop sounded. Still in his mentally crippled fetal possession Kumotake wouldn't realize before it was too late.

The boy fell flat on his stomach and face unto the floor below just inches away from having landed on the girl who'd notice the spider who seemed to be mimicking a backpack. In summary the boy did not only eat s**t but was the opposite of cool. No! He could recover! Immediately jumping to his feet and stretching himself out the six foot seven Kumotake dusted himself off and then took a poignant position to look at his converser as if to say 'I meant to do that.' Then finally after all this time behind the medical mask the boy sported she'd get her response. "Why...does anybody.. ddd...oo anything right? M..man." If said normally the man tacked on to the end of sentence would have sounded normal and casual but in this instance with Kumotake's tendency to stutter it sounded like he'd have asked a question, as if he was unsure whether the girl was a man or not. Now that he was closer he realized it was woman by the curvature of the body but that meant nothing in this situation.

The result was Sukoso freely able to manipulate it's size among three categories. Minuscule enough to retreat into Kumotake's body which was it's original form, slightly larger as a normal spider, and finally large enough to be ridden. It takes a full post to change in size, There's a cooldown of at least 1 full post, must be in physical contact.

When doing so he can climb flat surfaces and cling without the need for the water walking jutsu. Still, this is incredibly slow and inefficient for any purpose other than stealth. It's also incredibly unsettling to watch.

"Its taking some getting used to. Living with the main household of the Aburame is much different than my usual. The water is a little unnerving to me, I dont like this much around me. Its unsettling. I find myself having to focus on other things than my surroundings to get my breathing under control on occasion. Im working on that stuff though." She said as she took notice of him waving. She would offer a polite nod before sitting, slouching a little bit with hands in her pocket, her hood falling onto the chairs back and revealing the tangle of long curls. She had seemed to digest what he said very quickly and taken it pretty well in stride. "So, I assume this is more than a meeting to see how I'm fairing. Nothing is ever that simple. If it is however, I suggest next time we meet in a teahouse and have drinks. The gloom is nice for some but personally I think the sun feels nice this time of year, praise it and its warming glory" She said quietly, kissing her fingers and gesturing towards a patch of light in the room.

"Is to get into as many fights as possible to prove my strength."

Not really sure what was going on anymore, Kujo decided to leave the Mizukage's office since it was just too overly crowded. "Ah smell y'all later." He said before disappearing behind the door to the secretary's room. From there he sat down and started doing push ups until he was ready to run laps around the seating room. Jack Harren Snipe would meet this spunky young teen, but maybe not anytime soon. So Kujo would wait, he knew that important people had better things to do than to screw around with him. So Kujo would do what he did best, work out!

Inka Hizara
I have felt true peace in myself through three methods;
in death, in climax, and in desctruction. Only one has been by another's hand.

[・・・] Inka growled, not moving even as Jack retreated to face the window. Red eyes turned away, missing the cloud show, pulling his back to Jack. "Right. Sure." He snipped, feeling like his arguement was just... swept under the rug. "Find the brats, get their reasonings, show 'em to their squad leader. Report back. 'Kay." Picking up the scroll, he rolled it up and tucked it into his coat before counting the fifteen cards and leaving the office for the waiting room. Once there, Inka called out to all those present.

"Genin." He spoke, loudly. "If yer not seeing to the Kage yet, come up to me - one by one. Private-ish discussion." He explained, retreating back a step into the long hallway that lead to Jack's office. There, he leaned against the wall with arms folded

Sitting outside, Minowa rested one leg straight out with the other up to his chest, one arm draped over his raised knee. He hadn't bothered to put his jacket back on so it was slung across his waist as he stared out across the canopy of Sero. Someone entering the office spoke to him and he lifted his head to give them a startled look, unused to being spoken to by anyone. Not that he had to reply as they continued on into the office and he dismissed the event with an uneasy shrug. The tree was calmer than he had ever seen it and it was like his father would have wanted it to look like and feel. Though he suspected many couldn't let go of what had been done by the Sero in the name of protecting them Father, you would be so sad. he couldn't help but think, imagining how his father would feel if he knew the agony Sero had inadvertently caused. Regardless, Sypher would have been proud of one thing. The Sero had worked. It was unlikely he could ever make another but Minowa had some faith in his father's skills. Speaking of strange minds, Minowa glanced up as the Mizukage arrived at his side, speaking of time lost and elapsed. Was that not what now defined Minowa? He nodded at the thing before it left, rising carefully. Once more to brave that crowded office too full of everything and everyone for his liking. And once more to confront the image of his father...and possible to confront his papa as well.
Entering again, he hesitated but continued to move past the secretary and through the crowd. He ignored most of them, not counting who had arrived or who had left, merely following his footpath from before. Minowa had been too long away from Itoko now and he wanted to have the binturong's warm, buttery smell at his side. But to do that, he would need to first deal with Jack. Pausing, he glanced at Inka before moving further into the hallway, his hesitation clear. He hadn't meant to hurt his papa, in the early days when they'd first been reunited and he suspected that something he'd said had confused his papa all the same. But...he didn't really have the words to express what he felt and what had happened and who he had become. How did you explain something you didn't understand yourself? Regardless, he ducked his head in a little bow, a silent hello, to his papa and slipped into the office proper of Jack Harren Snipe. Pausing at the door, Min held his breath before letting out a quiet sound of distress at the closeness of the walls. Even worse than out in the hallway, this place was not one he would be visiting frequently or for long periods of time "You wanted to speak to me." a statement but not a questions. And honestly, Minowa wondered if he'd had the choice in that matter. It was clear that if he was to pursue his and his father's goals, he would have to be a member of this village. To do so meant Jack. So he stood, nearly in front of the door, and waited with his head bowed for whichever Jack this was to speak to him or scold him.
