The return to the scene of destruction was a sight to behold now some time had passed. Emotive powers were suppressed, eyes inactive and fresh clothing was on her form as the kunoichi walked the same path she hurried toward. She had came back here for her Katana truth be told, it had been missing when she awoke at the hospital and it wasn't returned home so the last place was to return to the scene of the battle. From where the ANBU appeared and helped them all end the fight, Ayame stood and looked over the devastated mining camp for the first time since the attack.
While much of the forest had been worse for wear, here had been the final confrontation before the trio had fled. From the debriefing... there was no mention of one detail that she remembered in the fight. An object or rather a marble had been dropped here by the villainous attackers, and Ayame remembered no mentions of it during debriefing. Much of the dead had been moved for proper rites and the unknown creatures yet remained.
Some shinobi from the village were there, a single ANBU and the other men and women moving about to help clear the debris. She moved among some of them, still keeping her powers dormant so that her eyes were a crisp blue like ocean water. Her kekkei genkai's inactive state was still nothing as her ocular powers were still able to be used.
She asked around for a little bit, inquiring about her own sword and shown the scabbard she left with. Some answers were given, none were satisfactory. It took awhile but eventually she happened upon the blade from the indentation in the ground of where she helped Kya destroy an... unknown foe. It was clean, for the most part save for a bit of dirt and a few nicks as she twirled it through her fingers. It felt like a feather, almost as if she never lost it she thought with a smile as the blade slid home to its sheath. Click.
It was there she looked around more in silence, moving along rubble from the Oni-Sama's mudslide that had done some considerable changes to the landscape. Rock, dirt and fresh top soil was strewn about, earthen spikes with bits of necrotic flesh also remained to where the ... thing she and Kya slain. Then there in the dirt, a riddled blade with an edge pocked and chewed up by an acidic substance, it was the weapon (formerly) that she seen Kya wielding prior to it being ditched.
Ayame picked it up, clutching the hilt of the weapon and held it up and saw that most of the blade was gone. It was long as a standard Tanto if such a weapon had an unusually long handle. She wrapped it in a violet cloth, carrying it now with her for as a reminder and a memento. With enough side tracking, Ayame resumed her little search for the forgotten marble. Hopefully it wasn't lost or taken elsewhere.
Ayame took the time now to make a pause to make her search more efficient as she dug out a scroll from her bags. The scroll itself was a loan from one of the libraries of the academy as she made her way through the camp, eyes flicking back and forth with the shinobi and then further on for just even a simple sign of a marble. So, instead of wasting time with one body... Ayame found a flat place on the ground that wasn't torn up or strewn with the dead and sat down with scroll unrolled. Best to brush up on the technique now rather than later. [1/5]It was a book unlike the scrolls she was just read and now she began to open it, unsecuring the binding to it. From there is was a list of ninjutsu specialized in a many different ways from reeling wire to clones. [2/5] The exact technique she looked at was the Kage Bunshin, a technique that created almost identical doppelgangers of the caster. These clones were legendary in the technique's known use in both the village's history and the shinobi world. For good reason as unlike the illusion clone and elemental variants, a shadow clone was capable of independent thought and retains information it learns to relay back to the host. [3/5] To create a clone was more than just a simple weave of seals and a cost of chakra, it needed an actual split in one's own reserves if they would want that clone to actually be useful. The amount split could be determined by the kunoichi easily, or weaken herself and put all the gambit on a clone created if she would try to fool someone with a sensory perception. There wasn't a hard limit to how many could be created either, ranging from a single clone to perhaps a dozen or more which could be devastating. [4/5] Ayame looked over the jutsu more and gave a slow nod to herself as she memorized the seals needed. But her kekkei genkai actually wouldn't need them per say if she could afford the extra chakra since she could literally spawn clones from afar. With her genjutsu and emotives, the combination of eye sight clone spawning were too powerful of a tactic to deny. [5/5] ~~Shadow Clone Jutsu
With a fluid set of hand seals, Ayame stood now from the scroll with the proper knowledge and memory of the intricate uses of the technique she needed to perform, chakra flowed through her tenketsu with the appropriate seals being completed. Large amounts of her energy felt like it was ripped from her body as she concentrated on three points, three bodies envisioned in her mind's eye and fwoomf. Three Identical bodies of Ayame were created as perfect copies of the original. To the passing eye, there would be four of the same woman standing there then, each still holding the seal that Ayame completed the jutsu with.
"Now... Time to find that Marble." Ayame said as she and each of her clones split off, each careening off in the cardinal directions to cover more ground and to search for the Marble left by one of the trio.
Kage Bunshin no Jutsu [ Shadow Clone Technique ] Rank: B Official Description: This technique creates a solid clone of the user, unlike the empty ones formed from the traditional Bunshin no Jutsu. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two decent blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created to appear in the same condition as the original did when he/she performed the technique itself. Shadow clones can't be distinguished from the original even by the Byakugan- because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance. Guild Description: Creates a solid clone which is able to interact with the environment and perform any technique the user knows. The strength of each clone is dependent on the amount of chakra put into each clone. A clone can have anywhere from [1] chakra to all but [1] chakra of the user's pool. The same goes for stamina. The user must retain at least [1] of each pool or they will lose consciousness. Each clone takes [15] chakra to create, and up to three [3] clones can be made per activation. Shadow clones cannot be told apart by doujutsu. The clone disperses if it receives a solid hit (C-rank or higher), or runs out of chakra or stamina. When a clone is dispersed, any knowledge it gained while active is transferred to the original only, no other clones, and any remaining chakra and stamina is returned to the user. Shadow clones may not leave the immediate area [same thread] that the user is in. The only exception is that a village leader may use shadow clones to aid them in managing the village, although the clones cannot leave the village.

The marble would not be found easily. If Ayame was able to recall the moments before she passed out she would note San having mentioned to the ANBU seeing it fall but losing it in the smoke. With how the enemy had been after it, clearly it was of some value so the ANBU would definitely have searched for it. However given the loosened earth, the smoke, uneven terrain, and chaos of the event it was possible that it had become hidden somewhere. Should Ayame choose to search for it, describe how she goes about such a task and perhaps some information about the marble's location will be gained.
Ayame and her doppelgangers surveyed the area with general search routines, checking obvious locations at first as they coordinated with each other. She and her clones were now using their bloodline, eyes looking at each other as a means of communication with the empathy jutsu, Reflect The Soul. Being carbon copies of herself, she was able to immediately determine the status of what the clones felt in terms of their search efforts. A general emotion of anticipation was common in herself and she used that to project the very same feeling in her clones. The real Ayame stood still as she cooridinated her clones by sensing their emotion, like a puppet master pulling the strings and her chakra aura flowing gently along the ground to make the sense easier.
Whenever each of the three clones came across anything suspicious, odd or otherwise, the change in emotion would usually be surprise, shock or awe to which she would sense intently. Ayame would wave the clone off if they had found a false alarm or otherwise, and then the original anticipation emotion would retake it place among that clone. She kept this emotional ping pong empathy chain going for a bit, knowing full well that they searched the obvious places first before she would mark out the next idea.
The dirt and debris were in the way for the most part and the Ayame clones didn't have much in the way to sift through dried up mud and the topsoil. So instead they began to do a string of hand seals that hadn't taken long to create. Ayame herself used her sword as a means to point and direct the attention of her doppelgangers as they completed the seals and Fuuton chakra roused to life. They used one of the basic ninjutsu skills of the wind nature to move and sift the dirt now as the real Ayame directed her three clones in their little search area. Slowly but surely, the wind churned up the mounds of dirt, lifting it with the faintly visible wind chakra as three miniature whirlwinds circled the area. It was precisely controlled and slow with Ayame directing them to eventually bring the technique to the center after it'd eclipsed their entire search between the trio. The jutsu was able to life lightweight materials such as dirt, small stone and other debris that the marble would be among. Touei Kihaku no Jutsu [ The Art of Projecting the Soul ] D This is the second Jutsu connected with the Raigyo, which does the opposite of the Eizou Kihaku, allowing a user to 'force' their own emotions temporarily upon others, via the medium. Kaze Fuuchuufuyuu [ Wind Levitation ] Rank: E Official Description: Utilizing and controlling the wind, the user is able to force the wind beneath an object in order to force it to rise up from the ground. Guild Description: The effectiveness of this Jutsu is very much dependent upon the weight of the object in question. The weight limit for this technique caps out at twenty [20] pounds (9kg),and anything about ten [10] pounds (4.5kg) takes a full post to lift and throw.

Through the sifting, various clumps of dirt and rocks could be found. So too were numerous shards of glass. Balls of blood encrusted dirt from some of the creatures would be found as well. If the marble were among the objects in the piles of dirt that the clones had made it could be a rather painful searching process. However, while the sifting was going on near the mine entrance and the top layer of sand and glass was removed, the sheen of the missing object sparked a glint of light as the sun hit it just right. It was as if it was a beacon calling Ayame's attention to it. But then even the minor change of its surroundings seemed to release the desired object into the hands of gravity or some other unseen force. The marble seemed to silently roll into the mouth of the mine, inching ever closer to where the light of the entrance faded. However it stopped just as it was shaded partially in the inky darkness of the mine. Was it just random chance? Or was something fishy going on here?
It... Like a ray of faith shining down, it shown a glint of something among the glass shards almost with an otherworldly touch. The kunoichi stopped herself and motioned for the three clones to cease their jutsu as the katana was sheathed with a soft click. Her chakra flow ceased as she deactivated the kekkei genkai empathy technique and she moved toward the unusual glint -- then it, jerked and seemed to move...? She was already on edge just simply from the battle and carnage that had happened in the village and an object moving on its own set up her guard.
With a motion of the hand, she made her clones move and draw their blades each, exposing naked steel, after they've done a single hand seal. The object moved along the ground as it moved toward the gaping maw of the mine, deep and dark within but it remained still there. Her clones were already there in a mere blink of an eye, body flicker augmenting their speed incrediably so they were at the mine entrance long before the marble.
Ayame herself simply walked slowly toward the entrance, keeping up with the marble but not doing little to disturb it as it seemed to slow slightly the closer it got to this mine. When she got to the mine, the marble stopped moving and there it sat between four of them, the three clones standing three to a line in the mouth of the mine. The center clone of the trio had her back turned, hands on Katana and faced to see the inside of the mine, the other two held the blades off to their side with their gaze settled on the marble and back at Ayame herself.
She was slightly paranoid, looking over the center clone's shoulder at the mine and vaguely remembered it had physically swallowed one of their own -- not before they secured their own freedom at least. Now, she looked down at the marble and back at the mine with a long thought. Was there a connection? For a moment, she knelt down and used a velvet cloth from her small pack where she kept her kunai and tossed it over the marble which would be used to secure the object shortly afterward -- that's if it didn't do anything wonky.
While she was doing this, Ayame told the clone on the right, Ayame C, to lower her guard and inquire about the mine with those who were working in the camp. Her specific detail were basically to gain a bit of insight and the clone would ask general questions such as 'had there been anything weird lately?' Simple matters, nothing too bizarre or outlandish to ask other than a lay of the land, see what the situation was brewing up to be.
She kept her two other clones busy, telling B to ease up with the blade but to say if anything were down the mine. A was just told to sheath their Katana and to remain at ease, there wasn't total need to be jumping at shadows just yet.
The marble didn't seem to react to the cloth being thrown over it. At least until Ayame would try and retrieve it. Upon doing so the marble would seemingly vanish into thin air. For a moment things were quiet and still until the sound of the marble falling down some ledges could be heard echoing in the distance. Each time it landed on what sounded like hard stone a sound rang out. Of course the sound was coming from well beyond the veil of darkness that obscured what lay deeper into the mine.
Though busy the people working on cleaning up the tent city were not opposed to answering the clone's questions. Most of them hadn't seen anything unusual but some said they'd heard strange noises coming from down in the mine. Though they also thought they were just jumpy from the attack still, and the wind was playing tricks on them.
Things had begun to felt a bit off and yet they didn't seem too far fetched. Ayame made a small grunt of annoyance when she discovered the thing... was not actually there. It must've slipped from the cloth when she lifted it or something -- she been pretty distracted with keeping an eye on the clones after all. She could hear it then and her suspicion been confirmed when the sound of an object bouncing down a descending set of stairs, possibly ledges as Ayame judged the time between the sounds to know whether it was bouncing high or they were long drops.
The clone that went about asking around in the tent city/camp returned after a little bit while Ayame stood deliberating on the choices she should do. The clone relayed the different responses in the usual manner, Ayame nodding to herself and then they split up again. Ayame A was told to linger around the mouth of the cave then and to keep an ear open with a guard posting, both B and C would tail the real Ayame, swords sheathed but hands resting lazily on the hilt.
She decided to follow the sound as best she could, to pinpoint the source and hopefully locate the item in question. So she went through the mine entrance with two of the three clones, third standing just outside with their eyes and ears open to keep watch -- it was mostly just a precaution. Anyone that'd approach C would be advised against going in the Mine, least for a little while.
Further into the mine the darkness would consume all, at least until the tunnel mysteriously opened into a large cavernous space which was dimly illuminated by sporadic patches of fungi. Each cluster giving off a small glow that looked like beacons in the dark. It would be hard to tell with how low the visibility was within the space, but by all accounts the cavern looked natural enough. However without some kind of enhanced sight, one could only see about fifteen feet away if they stood near a light source. Otherwise they could only see what passed in front of a fungi cluster. From somewhere in the cavern there was a sickening gurgle noise that echoed out. It was as if someone was trying to speak but they were choking on a viscous liquid. Then all was quiet again. Had it been the wind? Was it a gas pocket? Perhaps some water trapped in the stone was leaking out? The marble was nowhere to be seen. What would Ayame do?
The mine had begun to have an unsettling feeling once the trio of Ayame's settled further down in, the fourth still at the mouth of the place maintaining their guard -- it'd be long before they would be out of range of it. But now, Ayame soon began to feel out of place and unsettled so she motioned to one of the clones to begin using their chakra for a technique. There were a lot of unknowns and she couldn't, for the life of her and the clones, see anything down in this little hole in the ground. So, it was best for her to get a little creative as she stopped walking and eased herself into releasing chakra herself so that all three were collaborating. A low hum would come from the real Ayame first as she began to work the jutsu and continue with the concentration of jutsu for her part in the combination. The mine was dark, scary even as occasionally the rumble of something passed by, and with the echoes in the cavern... made it a bit hard to discern. So she would begin a process of elimination with a string of three techniques quickly devised to locate anyone that might be deep within -- friend or foe would react either way. The main purpose was to find and locate them. [2/6] [2/3]
The genjutsu in itself was a decent way of making people react regardless of if they wanted to or not, with it assailing on the sense of smell. It would create a sense of rot or putrid smell that would play off of what something thought was the worst, never was it the same and was simply an illusion. For one person would dislike the scent of flowers, yet another might find the aroma of perhaps rotted trash to be pleasant but find incense to be despicable. [3/6]
Ayame B had been the one who was beginning the chakra usage for the genjutsu, hands set with the seals. But the real Ayame held up her hand in a fist, her right one to cease the clone from using it. She wasn't ready for it to be used and she held up her left then as Ayame A also finished their jutsu but was signaled to hold the facade of the techniques for just a bit longer. Ayame continued to hum a joyous tune and broke into a high pitch singing of long drawn out syllables common in Kabuki plays. She completed one string of handseals and there her chakra was infused with the sound she sung out as it pinged off the walls and further down within like a bat's echolocation. It was an immensely clarifying method to gain a picture of the area, Ayame stopped singing as she used the sensory technique and the echoes of her singing. It bounced back now and then with a large portion of her immediate area painted in her mind's eye of the general path. Even if she were addled of lost along the path of an illusion to her unknown knowledge, she'd wouldn't be fooled unless sound itself was altered and changed. She found that singing just then had been clear, but there was something else making noise now she listened harder with combination of her echolocation and her own natural sense of hearing. [5/6]
She scanned around now with a more insightful knowledge of where she had been going, her eyes straining to see but only patches of light and natural work in the cave were shown. Her eyes turned to where she suspected the source of the sound, like a stomach rumble or choking sound - and she didn't expect it to be friendly. Let's give it something to choke on. Ayame thought and down came her left hand first, signalling the clone to her left to unleash its wind blast to the general location of her perceived enemy. The cave would then be intensely loud all of sudden with a hard wind being suddenly blasted out with an intensity to match, small rocks shattering and clutter flying about as Ayame signalled the second clone to release the genjutsu into the air stream. Ayame gave a loud whistle with her hands directed back to where they came from. With that down, she turned back with her hands at the two clones either side of her, touching them as looked on. The wind was strong for the amount of chakra used but it wasn't her true means of attack, instead everything capable of perceiving the sense of smell would react violently if they failed to resist the genjutsu. Everything vile to them would make the most obvious sound and even debilitate for a short time. If there were one, there could've been more and this was a way to find out for certain.
With a loud whistle and the sound of a jutsu being done, the fourth clone would begin to falter just a second at the mouth of the cave. Yet with some reluctance they would abandon post, unsheath sword, and make their way in at a full sprint.
Yamabiko [ Echo ] Rank: E Description: Activation of this Jutsu lets the user locate the relative location of anything in the vicinity by listening to the echoes of a sharp sound, such as blades clashing, a rock skipping, etc. The technique is activated by some form of sound caused by the user. Louder sounds travel farther. It effectively works like echolocation, giving the user a display of the path in which the sound travels for one [1] full post. The visual can be maintained at an upkeep of the original cost per post, as well as a constant sound, such as music. Only the user can see the visual path.
Ayame A Zankuuha [ Decapitating Air Waves ] Rank: D Official Description: Zankuuha is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sound ninja Zaku Abumi. Using the air vents installed in his arms, Zaku can control supersonic waves and air pressure. The Zankuuha creates a massive gust of wind, which he can blast at an opponent. The gust is so strong it can even break rock. Guild Description: The user releases a large blast of wind directly from the palms of the hands. The gust is strong enough to break rock.

By shutting down all but the most unpleasant of the nose's regions of scent, this technique effectively overloads the foe's brain with rancid, rotting, and unbearable smells. Due to the utter strength of the smells that are being perceived, it is not uncommon for even those with the strongest of stomachs to begin vomiting uncontrollably, and combat is in all cases greatly hampered by the overwhelming feeling of sickness that now dominates their body.

The cave itself would appear to be natural, or at least so it seemed based on the results of the echo. The space was uneven, with largely smooth stone. Stalactites and stalagmites dotted the area as well. The fungi clusters wouldn't exactly return clearly as they absorbed much of the sound from the jutsu. However there was something else in there. How it looked in the echo would be beyond confusing. A mass of something which, similar to the fungi, reflected sound poorly. It seemed to perhaps have many limbs with a vaguely humanoid shape. What it truly looked like however, would remained shrouded by the darkness still.
In response to the blast of air a sudden light illuminated the space as a large fireball formed and absorbed the wind jutsu while it grew larger. Whatever was creating the fire would be mostly hidden behind the sheer mass of the fireball that was now traveling straight at Ayame A. Perhaps the real Ayame or one of her clones would have a proper angle to see what was with her in that dark cave. The creature was similar to the first ones fought at the mine. A perhaps one time human which appeared to be made of rotting flesh mixed with new sinuous bony appendages capped in deadly spear like spikes. It had bloated arms which looked almost club like in appearance, and it walked upon a set of four legs not two. Its face was misshapen and it had the most inhuman looking of mouths. The lower jaw split into two separate mandibles, and the upper portion seemed to have rows upon rows of teeth. Embedded in its chest was the marble.
While the fireball sailed through the air, the sound of retching and then vomit splattering against the floor could be heard. However it did not come from the creature. Where or what then, had vomited? If Ayame were to get vision of the monster from the right side. she would find that there was a person partially embedded in the creature. His flesh was painfully connected by large staples to that of the monster. An expression of pure pain was upon his face and he appeared helpless in terms of moving. In addition his skin looked sickly, as if it were beginning to rot like the creature's own. While the monster seemed unphased by the genjutsu this man surely was.

Sorting ore, eh? Sumika could get it up for a lot of different things but it was going to be hard to get excited over this. That said, it did promise her a lot of opportunity to gather some unique materials.[ 1 / 14 ] To start off her task the puppeteer had, well, actual garbage to sift through. It looked like someone had come through and dump a bunch of rocks in a cart. In some way she understood that ore needed to be refined first, but this was going to be a lot of work.[ 2 / 14 ] Sort sort sort. Sorting was a time consuming process, but it would net her a lot of ore. It just took... uh... the little idiot figuring out what ore is what, which was a taller task than it actually seemed.[ 3 / 14 ] Sumika picked up the first piece and stared at it. Cobalt murmured and swatted at it. With a sigh she chucked it towards the nearest mine cart.[ 4 / 14 ] Another piece of ore, another supposedly vital decision. Did she piss San off or something? Was this going to actually pay off? Who knew? Not Sumika as she chucked and piece of ore into the mine cart.[ 5 / 14 ] Was this piece of ore actually any different? Sumika honestly couldn't tell, they all looked like brown lumps to her. She stared at it for a while, probably too long, before throwing it in a separate mine cart and moving onto the next piece.[ 6 / 14 ] What the ******** was this s**t even? It was just a brown lump? How the hell was she supposed to tell one brown lump from another brown lump?[ 7 / 14 ] Why couldn't this all have been done in way less time? Like, she was glad she got more out of this than normal, but she'd end up spending her whole day doing this at the current rate. Efficient it was not, she thought as she chucked a piece of ore into another cart.[ 8 / 14 ] "You know, you'd think these ******** would have figured out how to do something so simple faster." The girl muttered to herself as she started grabbing ore in handfuls and haphazardly chucking them. At this point, she didn't much care what actually got where, she just needed this s**t done.[ 9 / 14 ] Every time she removed a piece of ore from the cart before her, it seemed to replace itself. So much ore, it boggled her poor little mind. That said, she was starting to amass quite the piles of materials, perhaps rarer than she initially thought.[ 10 / 14 ] What exactly those materials were, still continued to escape the girl. She lacked any reasonable frame of reference for what any of this crap was. But hopefully it would be useful in at least some aspect of her crafting processes.[ 11 / 14 ] It had been but a few minutes, but it felt like days. Maybe even weeks, if she really tried hard to comprehend it, since Sumika started sorting ore. She drew ever closer to a pair of full carts of stuff that looked basically the same, not a bad start.[ 12 / 14 ] It occurred to Sumika, as she pushed one of the carts towards the mine's entrance, she'd be here a long while and should enact a contingency. It was what it was, she supposed, but at least she had something to show for it.[ 13 / 14 ] Two full piles of ore, to be exact, one which she found particularly interesting. It'd take some effort to haul it to storage, but for now it could hang out here. Sumika ended up with... some weird looking rocks. She guess that was okay, the were sorta neat. Maybe someone would buy them?[ 1 / 14 ] Boy, mining sure was a hell of a thing. All of these rocks and still somehow, people found a way to put them to use. Sumika couldn't lie, suggest that she didn't find that element of this all interesting.[ 2 / 14 ] The process though, could ******** off. She'd make sure to leave San some coal for this, even if it earned her a lot of extra points in the village. No one should be subjected to this nonsensical bullshit.[ 3 / 14 ] Another day? Had it been days yet? The girl honestly couldn't tell at this point. But! Another day, another rock, another minecart.[ 4 / 14 ] They wouldn't be short resources on her account, that much was certain. No siree. It might have been boring as piss, but Sumika would get the damn job done. No one would tell her otherwise.[ 5 / 14 ] She honestly didn't care about it earning her brownie points, the puppeteer had no interest in ranking up. What she did have, was interest in materials and all of this chucking rocks into carts would definitely get her that. Puppets were her game and she aimed to make a whole bundle of them after this.[ 6 / 14 ] How long could someone take of throwing rocks into different mine carts? Sumika had no idea, but she felt like she was pushing it honestly. Like no amount of beating her head against the wall was going to solve this particular problem.[ 7 / 14 ] Only about halfway done with her task, the sound of ore against metal, and then wood reverberated through the little puppeteer's skull. It almost hurt at this point, but she had a job to do. And so another piece was tossed in with its sad little siblings, ready to be hauled off to death and rebirth as something grander and more magnificent than anything they had ever imagined.[ 8 / 14 ] Well, she might as well make her task into a game. Way she figured, she was just coming out of the half and down a few buckets. In this case, quite literally down a few buckets.[ 9 / 14 ] Of course, she also was literally just pouring them in too. Buckets that was. She was pouring in buckets, to her mine carts.[ 10 / 14 ] Because, you know, simple mining normally occurred with simple tools, like buckets. So there were buckets full of ore. And she was adding those buckets to her total.[ 11 / 14 ] Okay, so maybe in the context of the guild it doesn't make sense, but buckets. Can't really argue with buckets. And Sumika had plenty of buckets.[ 12 / 14 ] In fact, Sumika had so many buckets, of ore, that at this point she was starting to think she was close to being done. Adding another to the pile in her cart she stopped to observe it. Yep, definitely done.[ 13 / 14 ] So done, very damn done. Like the most done that anyone had ever been. And now she was pushing the carts off to the people who needed the ore at the exit of the mine where they'd take it and turn it into stuff.[ 14 / 14 ]

One last mountain to climb, so to speak. Well, actually, in this case, it was a mountain to climb into. You know, because that's where the ore lives and you've got to get the ore.[ 1 / 14 ] What did you expect, and actual detailed description of this cheesy little s**t painstakingly sorting ore into buckets? Across 14 posts? Not even she would do that.[ 2 / 14 ] Well, she's doing the sorting part, it's implied. This is really just her train of thought. It's long and rambly and she spaces out. Thunk thunk thunk, there, ore in a cart.[ 3 / 14 ] Back on topic, Sumika is a scatterbrain. She might as well be on another planet. But she's trying her best. There's ore going into carts, it's all you could really ask for.[ 4 / 14 ] Some iron here, some coal there. Well, lots of coal actually. It's almost like it's the most common element in this universe.[ 5 / 14 ] In reality she'd have filled up several carts of ore for each of these, but that's boring. How do you feel about copper? Because we've got a stupid amount of copper. Like more copper than you can't shake a stick at.[ 6 / 14 ] In fact, she's found so much copper, that you could make a stick out of copper. And then shake that stick at the still considerably store of remaining copper? Why so much copper you ask? Well, simple, it's the only other useful crafting material available for some reason.[ 7 / 14 ] Copper's great, actually. It's pretty valuable, and it's awesome for electrical circuits so it's probably also awesome for chakra conductive devices like batteries. You probably don't want a weapon made out of it though, the girl thought to herself, because it's pretty damn soft.[ 8 / 14 ] Anyway, by that point, there wasn't really much else to worry about except chucking ore. Sure, the girl could continue to ramble away in her head. She would, actually, but it was all about chucking that ore.[ 9 / 14 ] Her piles were getting pretty damn big too, almost like they'd been building all while she was barfing out a stream of consciousness. The puppeteer had to say that she was pretty impressed with herself. Not that this would need to be explained to anyone, she was impressed by most things.[ 10 / 14 ] In her hood her panda friend stirred, gnawing on her ear in boredom. "I know bud, we're almost done." She said, reaching a hand up to scratch Cobalt behind the ears.[ 11 / 14 ] Just a few more minutes and they'd both be free. A few more buckets. A single trip back out of the mine and they were back to the world of the living.[ 12 / 14 ] There wasn't anything Sumika wanted more than to get the hell out of this mine. It felt like it'd been ages since this whole thing started. Like she'd neglected the rest of her life for this one thing.[ 13 / 14 ] No more though, as little arms braced against the edge of the cart. Feet began pushing, heaving the thing into motion. And then it was rolling, rolling towards the light. Rolling towards freedom from this particular hell for the time being.[ 14 / 14 ]

Being alone was the last worry of just about any rational human being with the grotesque creature of nightmares had made itself known. Shock and terror were the few emotion that registered first on the young kunoichi's face just as the faint light of fire elemental chakra manifested. She knew something had been deep within the mine but now she had a flashback of the creatures that they had all fought previously. The reek of decay, the agonizing scream of blood curdling ravenous monsters were still fresh in recent memory.
She forgot much of what the sensory jutsu had gave her in the area's surroundings, only that it was spotty at best and now she had fueled this monster fireball with additional air from her previous technique. s**t Ayame cursed under her breath as she saw the clone face down the fireball careening toward her, herself and the other clone were on opposite ends of the clone as she let the attack defeat the shadow clone. Shortly afterward, she performed the release handseal and let the other remaining clones disperse -- including the one that had been making its way toward the commotion.
Don't let the creature make you afraid. Her thoughts rang out as she exercised caution and diligence, taking hold of her katana and advancing on this disgusting fusion of man and nightmare. In the dying light of the fireball behind her, she could faintly make out the outline of the creature and the bare coloration. Bent down low in a crouch, Ayame held her Katana off to her left side by its scabbard and drew the blade with her right. It came out in a single fluid motion complete with a long, arcing slash going from far left to right as she rose back to her feet. The blade threatened to cut into this four legged creature starting from the shoulder to across the jaw and its face as chakra flourished along the cold steel's edge, enhancing the woman's cut to where it'd be as seamless as a brush stroke. Additionally Ayame's body tensed with the chakra flowing through her limbs, tightening muscle and anchoring her to the ground once she rose with the rising slash.
Post Summary ~Solid Footing - C Complex Anchors the body to the ground and stance disruption techniques lose all descriptive increases. Increases Buki strength moderately.
~Brush Stroke - B Rank Spiritual -Shunkan Technique, increases speed and strength of a strike greatly and treats a formless attack as a Complex Technique of one rank Higher.
~B-Rank Formless Katana Diagonal cut from the draw thrown out to cut the creature. Enhanced by Brush Stroke and Solid Footing. Is treated as an A-Rank Complex attack.
The hideous creature of rotting flesh and fusion was slow to move in its response. The body of it was hastily put together and its center of gravity off kilter. As a result the ninja's blade was able to slice into necrotic flesh with sickening ease. While its arm and the upper half of it's head dropped to the floor a liquid gurgle of a cry came from its esophagus. Continuing to turn and face the girl it stabbed at her with its mantis like claw. However as it neared her body the appendage became cloaked in flaming chakra. In addition to that the creature reared up onto its hind legs and lashed out with a quick double strike. It's dagger like feet would assuredly be akin a being stabbed with a katana if they connected.
