Vega would look around slightly nervously before giving a small sigh. "To be completely honest? I can not deal well with crowds, so I typically venture out here for supplies myself rather than relying on other scavengers or what have you. Also," And he gestured to his Larvesta as he spoke, "People aren't exactly fond of a potential firestorm hanging out around a town mostly held together by wooden supports."

"No more than I needed to survive on," Corona replied, smirking with a malevolence that befitted a Deathrage descendant. Distracted by the Roserade, Corona would happily hug the Grass-type. "Hello to you, too, Rosey," she said loudly, taking some small pleasure in nicknaming the Pokemon when its trainer would not.

"Don't name my Pokemon." Leon said as grumbled. He started walking down towards them. "Anyways. Where did you come from? I need to go into town to grab some stuff for today. Doubt anyone would have any of what I need. But, it's worth the shot."

"Fair enough." Alex gave another shrug, then readjusted his cloak once more. "That does kind of remind my of my aunt, actually." A sigh punctuated his statement, before rubbing his face rapidly. "Anyways... is there anything else you wanted, or?..." He trailed off, readjusting his grip on his bow. The hunter was ready to get back to it, and was at least trying to be semi polite about it.

Requiem of Whyspers

Vaughn cocked an eyebrow at Freth, a brief glimpse of what backbone he had showing as he announced visually that he wasn't buying Freth's feigned ignorance over his question. That brief moment of courage disappeared quickly however and the man reverted back to his demur personality and broke eye contact with Freth once again. "Um...you know they uh...people..." He muttered, looking out of the side of his eyes, as if expecting someone to pop out of an alleyway for saying as much as he had and yet no one did.

"The uh...Snagem...people...?" He said, whispering the name and questioning in his voice, now doubting himself as the words escaped his lips. He felt like he shouldn't even be here right now, that this was all a mistake. It took everything he had to stop himself from running away in this moment.

Desi would hear it all, maybe not the name Snagem but the implication was there plan enough, who else he could be talking about? However Desi would not be completely invisible to Freth anymore, not after Vaughn unknowingly looked in her direction, likely leading the hybrid to focus her attention in that same direction, even if briefly. But that's all it would take for Freth to pick up on the eavesdropper.

"Well Larry." The Fishmonger's son drawls, rolling his eyes to the ceiling. "The thing is I was just selling my wares on the streets alongside my associates, Hanzo and Garbanzo." He noted with a sweep of his eyes that they were absent from this room, Arceus knows where they had been put. "And THESE," He indicates the others with a nod of his head towards the others seeing as his hands were bound. "Attempted to rob me in broad daylight in the middle of the street! And I tried to tell them I says 'oh no sah don't be stealin' me feesh' and they just wouldn't listen. I had a fearsome tussle with that down right killer over there." He nods at the girl who owned the Jolteon previously. "I wouldn't trust any of them personally."
Much as Akali wanted to protest against the slanderous remarks, she instead just looked down in shame. It wasn't like the fishmonger's son could really do much more damage beyond what was already done being dragged across the city. "Like you had much of a challenge," she remarked after a moment. "I already told you I'd do whatever you wanted if you let Jolteon go, before we were all arrested anyway."

"Believe whatever you want," she'd say to Larry afterward, her tone clearly indicating she wasn't about to participate in the 'he said she said' debate.

It was a bit of a walk but Rekah and their Wicker Bandits escort, and one very pushy Bewear, would make it to Flower City just find, gaining access by paying off a guard, which was not uncommon at all. The bandit had changed into more appropriate street wear though still sporting a pink t-shirt, couldn't completely get rid of his colors. As they walked through the streets the Bewear would occasionally shove Rekah, totally unprovoked. Did it just not like them or something?

"You know, you should really be thanking us, especially the boss. For once you'll do something worthwhile with your life rather than rot away on a polluted beach." The bandit taunted Rekah. He still hadn't explained why they were being forced into Flower City. But did Rekah mind? It was likely a tremendous change of pace from their normal life.

While they walked down the street no one bothered them, nor did anyone question why that Bewear was being so bossy. Alycia however would spot them, and so would her Togekiss. The naturally emotionally tuned creature would sense the tremendous amount of feelings coming from Rekah, all their feelings of isolation, loneliness, and so forth, it was positively sickening for the Togekiss. But that perhaps wasn't what really got Togekiss's interest, no, it was the other person with Rekah, that man, the bandit. Togekiss knew that emotion, that man had bad things planned for Rekah, deadly bad things, and it didn't just end with Rekah either. Would Togekiss alert their trainer to this?

However Desi would not be completely invisible to Freth anymore, not after Vaughn unknowingly looked in her direction, likely leading the hybrid to focus her attention in that same direction, even if briefly. But that's all it would take for Freth to pick up on the eavesdropper.

Freth wasn't sure if this guy's demeanor is because of just mentioning Snagem or just being in her presence. Though he didn't apparently at the very least want it being spoken out. Freth sighed. "Will you calm down, already?" she said. "Honestly you made it this far to just get to me and-...the hell is that?" A wave of curiosity, perhaps nervous cautious excitement, came across her. But it wasn't what she was feeling. No. Funnier still, that uneasiness that was coming off of Vaughn was starting to be apparent to Freth. She wasn't sensing pressures; just...emotions?

"Now you are starting to get yourself together? Someone had been standing there for at least the better part of two minutes."
She then took note to Vaughn staring at something, and Freth quickly turned back, taking notice to the stranger in the alleyway, eavesdropping on the conversation.

"What in the hell? Do I have a fan club suddenly?" Freth said.

"Freth, you should leave. You don't need to be a part of this."

"What's going on? Is she with you?" Freth then asked Vaughn, pointing towards Desi.

"And you're ignoring me again."
That only got a quick agitated glance towards her reflection on the display before she looked back towards Vaughn just as quickly. This was the only way she was possibly getting answers herself, as far as what she was concerned. She couldn't really outright reply to the one in her head. Last thing she needed was to make this guy think she truly was crazy by talking to her reflection.

LJ looked around the room and listened to what each of them had to say. He was glad to finally have some company was starting to regret his wish to talk to another person already, and they hadn't been here a full ten minutes yet. It used to be so nice and peaceful in this smell dim dungeon too. "Okay...a lot of blame going around here. And you, I specifically asked not to be called Larry, come on man." LJ whined in response to the fishmonger's son.

"What about that one over there? She doesn't look too hot." LJ said as he gestured his head towards Yuni the Buneary hybrid. He too was still cuffed, had been for awhile now. She was curled up and didn't look so great to the Pinsir hybrid.

"Any who, I'm not about to trust any of you." He said, going back to what the fishmonger said. "But it is nice having company. Me? I got thrown in here for interfering with a peace officer's duties. At least, that's what they said. What really happened is some cop was giving an innocent old Golisopod hybrid the business and when it became physical I stepped in. Last I saw the cop as I was being carried away they were talking about the odds of reattaching his nose." LJ said with a chuckle, weakly clicking his pincers together. "...these things are only for show thanks to the cuffs..." He sighed.

"So! Enough of that, my new acquaintances! Pick a spot to rot in. Mine is that corner over there. Don't bother taking it, I already marked it, if you catch my drink." With that the bug man walked back over to his corner, not particularly caring to mingle with them much more. "Oh and don't bother escaping. The cuffs not only take your strength away but even if you made it beyond the bars they would just put you to sleep. So again, get comfy."

The sound of running caused a certain Espeon hybrid's ears to twitch. Books were open all around her, trying to do as much research as she could with the meager resources there were left for knowledge. Something, anything, some sort of ancient knowledge to reverse the fate of this world, instead of being stuck in the treadmill of thinking about the present. And someone running through the halls willy-nilly surely wasn't going to help things. "For the love of Arceus...." She pulled on her white braid in annoyance, grabbing her walking staff and walking to the door to her room. Wait, what was that? There was the young one, but then.... She waiting until the little Emolga had come rather close before finally stepping out of her room, hopefully cutting her off. "Now then, young child, just what do you think you're doing, running around here?" Her tired amethyst eyes would look Eri up and down, resting just above wherever she light have hid the Zygarde Core.

Shes just about at the corner to turn and ascend to the generators and where shes supposed to place Zac but shes stopped. Eri is almost completely crashing into the Espeon hybrid and then spins to avoid hitting hard into her. “O-oh! Miss Crystal, Ma’am!!” Eri chirps, carefully holding the core under her overshirt. “Duchy wants to see Zac, ma’am. I had to feed him first…so he wouldnt get hurt after… Visited Grandma too, shes…resting, again.” The Enolga hybrid sighs. “Sorry…since I was told to keep the Core safe, I…worry about him.” She pets its little green head and feels it push into her palm gently. “Duchy gets mad when I am late…”

"Resting, huh? Well, that's good, I suppose..."Crystal would sigh, running her free hand over her braid. "You should still walk, though. Less of a ruckus, and less temptation from people who might try to get any clever ideas, as bad as they might be. F- The Duke," she corrected herself, a small amount of venom in her voice when she did, "can be patient for that. In fact..." Her free hand would move from her braid and wave at the books, closing them with a bookmark in each to keep her place. "Allow me to accompany you. It's the least I could do. And it keeps my eyes from straining too much." The door to her room would close and lock with only a thought, and the elderly hybrid would once again turn her attention to Eri and the Core, after a look in the direction of the tree and presumably where Duke Faba lived. "Shall we, my dear?"

"I wasn't meaning to run, Miss Crystal...Zac wanted to go and..." She stops short. Dont say five where two would do, as her grandmother always told her. Grownups just didnt have time, with the way the world was working then. Though she could spend hours listening to Rhyme talk about the past, when all the world was green and people weren't as hungry or as mean, and when the air didn't hurt your lungs.

But oh...oh!! Miss Crystal wanted to come with her! The Emolga hybrid smiles and then looks down as Zac shifts in her arms. She turns to where Crystal looks--the tree. She dreamed about the tree sometimes. "Oh, yes! Are you ready? We can read stories and rest lots afterwards, okay..?" The Core she was talking to makes either a small sound or a soft green blip of a glow, like a firefly's instance. "Alright, we're ready." And of course, the young one and her charge walk, not quickstep, towards the tree, slower so that the graceful Espeon hybrid can follow suit.

The old lady's ears tilted to the side when Eri trailed off, though they perked right up when Crystal saw her smile. "Alright then," she chuckled, keeping, at the very least, a steady pace, if not a fast one. As they were walking, though, there was still something that poked at her curiosity. "So, Eri, what were you about to say about Zac wanting to go and?..."

'If you'd rather not say it aloud, then just think it. I'll pick up on it, dear,'
she'd add telepathically, just in case it was something that the young Emolga hybrid was worried about getting overheard.

They walk together, and theres a moment where her steps stop and she looks back to the woman for a moment, then turning and continuing to walk.
I'm scared that Zac's going to be hurt after the Duchy does his work. I dont like the Duchy--he gives me bad vibes. Grandma says kill him with kindness...I'd rather take Zac and run away. She thinks her thoughts, so scared to say them aloud, and cuddles Zac protectively to her while they continue on.

The Espeon Hybrid was one of those she trusted--she trusted her like she trusted Grandma Rhyme.

Jay noticed that Hanzo and Garbanzo were nowhere to be seen, and he actually wondered what happened to them, and why they weren't in the same cell as him and the others. Then again, he couldn't really say he was worried about them; they were part of the reason he was in this mess in the first place. That being said, when the fishmonger's son spoke, saying that he was just selling his wares and how Jay and the other two had tried to rob him in broad daylight, Jay couldn't help letting out a snort of disgust. "Yes, we tried to rob what little ye had while ye were sitting in that alleyway," he said, a sneer in his voice at how thick the man was laying it on. "Ye had so much to sell that I just had to come take a look to help someone ye tried to kidnap after poisoning her!"

He didn't know if Yuni had actually been poisoned; he was just going of what he'd seen when she'd been too weak to actually move. He nodded at Yuni as he said this, noticing for the first time that the female hybrid didn't look so good. His heart gave a little pang as he noticed, by her body posture, just how upset she was, and he gave a small sigh and walked over to sit next to her. "I'm sorry," he said softly. "I probably should have minded my own business, but I couldn't just leave ye there like that. Dad would have tanned my hide if he'd been here and I'd just walked away." Hearing LJ speaking drew his attention back to the shiny hybrid, and he spoke again. "Does anyone ever get out of here, LJ?" he asked. It was something he'd been curious about since they'd been brought here.

----

Allison's search was not going well. She'd yet to actually find anything edible, despite all the stands she could see strung out. That being said, perhaps down near the roots of the tree wasn't the best place to try to find some food. So she decided to try and take her chances higher up, in the petals of the tree. It took her a little time to make her way up, and she was just a little winded when she paused for a moment. That moment of pause allowed her to hear someone saying something about being part of 'that group'. It wasn't often that her curiosity was piqued just by people talking, but this was something she had to find out. What group were they talking about? She needed to get closer to learn more, so that's what she did. She did take care not to get too close, however; she didn't want to alert whomever was talking that she was there. She gave a discreet signal, and her two companions backed off enough that they wouldn't be in the way but close enough they could jump in, just in case something happened. Agauth was in the air while Spooky found a spot he could watch but not be tripped over by passersby.
