Brian shook his head at Kazu's apology. "Don't worry about it," he told the boy. I'm more accustomed to dealing with taking Pokemon attacks than you might think." And so he was, even though he knew he would be hurting tomorrow after taking that Shadow Rush. That tackle shouldn't have affected him all that much, but with the Shadow Virus in play, it made even weak attacks seem like much more powerful ones.

He watched as the Pokeball he'd fired at the Shadow Ralts shook once before bursting open again, cursing under his breath as the Psychic/Fairy-type appeared once again, this time with even more power than before. The Collector's annoying hollering had Brian turning to him, eyes ablaze with unbridled fury. "Silence!" he yelled, his anger directed solely at the Shadow Ralts' trainer. "Do ye have any idea how much danger ye've put yerself and everyone here in with this little stunt? Ye have no idea how bad this situation is, or ye wouldn't be standing there like an idiot!"

He didn't care if his words had an impact on the Collector; right now, his sole focus was on weakening the Shadow Ralts so that he could Snag it and hopefully get it purified at some point. That being said, he was thankful there was an immunizer in the building, as it would allow him to battle the little Pokemon and hopefully not worry about the Shadow Virus spreading. But with the new surge of power, he knew they had to end this quickly, and he called Lu back to him and sent Firebrand out. The Fire-type was his best chance at defeating, or at least weakening, the Psychic/Fairy-type, even if his attacks wouldn't do that much damage thanks to the virus. He ignored the fleeing crowd, focusing on keeping his attention on the Ralts despite the amount of pain he was in from both the Shadow Rush and the Shadow Wave.

"Firebrand, use Sunny Day and follow it up with Fire Blast!" he said. "We have to weaken that Ralts so we can get it out of here and make sure it can't hurt anyone else!" Firebrand, seeing the empty gaze the Ralts had, immediately fired off a Sunny Day and a Fire Blast combination, hoping to at least deal some damage to the Shadow Ralts before it could use another Shadow attack again.

Tristen nearly was mortified as to how something so tiny was putting out so much malevolence. He had to brace himself between the attack the Ralts put out and the fleeing onlookers trying to get away from the berserk Ralts. As he managed to get a look again before nearly being trampled over, Tristen realized that Ralts was letting loose one Shadow Attack after the next in relative short order and he may end up going into Hyper Mode just as quickly. Brian apparently went to engage the Ralts with his own Pokemon...but then, where was the trainer?

The collector apparently got caught in the shadow attack that the Ralts put out. And he is in too close vicinity to the battle between Brian's Pokemon and the Ralts. Tristen rushed in to pull the collector out of further harms way. Tristen realized this has gotten pear-shaped after all but this was still salvagable...he needed the collector. The collector was his only lead as to where these Shadow Pokemon were coming from. "Get up! Come on!" Tristen shouted to him, trying to pull him up and out of the way of the frenzy. Hopefully Brian will keep this Ralts preoccupied.

The Collector would say nothing to Brian as he shouted at him and soon Tristen would find out why as the young hybrid arrived at the trainer's side only to find him knocked out. Either he hit his head on something or fainted from the pain of the attack, regardless he was out cold. For now he would serve no purpose as far as gathering information and would certainly prove to be a hindrance to move, as he was of a 'bigger frame', however the hybrid would definitely have plenty of questions for him once he came back to. Right now he just needed to get the guy out of harm's way so he can wake him up.

The shiny Shadow Ralts would continue to prove to be a much great nuisance than any one of them would guess it to be. When the Sunny Day was conjured the angry little psychic just looked up at the artificial sun and tilt its head. Then the Fire Blast was sent flying at it and...it missed. Side stepping and squatting down the small Pokemon was able to dodge the Fire Blast completely. Fire Blast a less than accurate move and Ralts a small target, so it wasn't too surprising for it to miss.

"Raaalts!" It roared, growing even angrier as its shadowy aura continued to grow. With a cry it launched its self off the ground with its Psychic powers and sent its self flying into the stomach of Firebrand like a dark missile as it executed another Shadow Rush. Brian is going to need to figure out a way to do some real damage right fast and snag it ASAP, otherwise it will enter Hyper Mode soon and snagging it won't be possible until it's knocked out. Maybe Kazu could lend a helping hand?

The Shadow Grimer was thrown against the wall on the other side of the room by Chinami, the sludge creature making a gross 'smack' as it hit the wall, a noise reminiscent of something else equally gross. As it began to 'ooze' down the wall a Helping Hand empowered Ice Beam blasted it thanks to Marowak. Ordinarily an Ice move wouldn't bother a pure Poison type but Grimer had a large percentage of water in its physical make up and this one just made its way through the sewer system and up the toilet. Monique's plan was perfect as the chilling beam frozen it right up, the Shadow Grimer now a gross ice sculpture stuck to the wall.

While Monique might be able to 'feel' like this wasn't over the more veteran and trained hybrid, Lykas, would sense easily that the Shadow Grimer was not knocked out yet and soon it would find its way out of its frozen prison. Now was their chance to snag it before it made too much more trouble.

"What is that thing!? Crazy Dave was right!? And my bathroom! Who is cleaning this up!?" The old man shouted as he finally arrived to see all that was going on.

Monique, not quite aware that Helping Hand had come from the Gossifleur in the back, was astounded to see what Ice Beam had done to Grimer. A big, poisonous, odorous blob now coated half the wall, mostly encased in ice and slowly sliding down.

This thing needed to be caught before all that ice melted. She pulled out a Poké Ball and clasped it against her Snag Machine glove firmly before tossing it at the Grimer.

I could use another Pokémon, but this thing is just not my style...

Crystal would go about looking at some of the ribbons once Reno had walked off with the sales lady, keeping a cursory and occasional glance on everyone else around meanwhile. Girlfriend, huh? Depending on how things play out, she might poke some fun at that. Best to keep it professional for not though. Mischief can come at a later time, at least, however, as right now she needed to keep an eye out for something resembling ebonite. She tapped her finger on her arm when she caught the psychic blips again, keeping her arms crossed underneath her shawl.

Her ear twitched when she got the message from Reno, the only show of her getting startled from the unexpected voice in her head. She should have known better, but there was the whole thing of still trying to get used to being around friends she knew and trusted once more, instead of trying to block out every foreign psychic presence. ‘Right, right. The button could just be a silent alarm, but I just caught more of those blips, too. Doubtful a coincidence. Hm…’ She thought for a moment, her intense gaze on the ribbon she was in front of until she had something of an idea. ‘Not too much of an idea, but Deo, how much chaos can you cause in getting that ribbon off? If we could maybe disappear into the back… At the very least, if Harleen could.’

Kazu looked around as he tried his Psychic abilities. He noticed that only a few people actually was effected by it, while others just either walked away on their own or just completely ignore him. He became embarrassed at that he probably looks like some random brat. At least, he kind of got an idea of what his limitations were. He then noticed the Shadow Ralts was getting more and more aggressive. He especially got aggressive when he saw his 'Trainer' erupted in rage. Ralts was a Feeling Pokemon after all. "Espurr stay behind me. Have a Light Screen ready okay?" Kazu said as he was gonna try and reason with the Ralts. Even though he's basically going against Sub's orders. He wanted to try...Was this the sort of thing Ulla had to deal with daily? Espurr looked at him like he was a crazy person. But, he trusted his trainer.

The boy walked a little pass Firebrand and Brian, he glanced at Brian, hoping he would give Kazu a chance to try something. "Ralts." He called out to the Shadow Pokemon, not even realizing he used his channeling. "Hey. Focus on me. Focus on my feelings. Not your trainers. Not my buddy here. Just me...Okay?" He said calmly. Kazu can feel his heart almost beat out of his chest, but he controlled his breathing for it to be at a calmer tempo. "We can help you. I know your scared, confused, and hurting. But don't worry. You're in safe hands now. You have my word." Kazu said as he reached out his hand to Ralts.

understanding the telepathic comments, Deo knew how to cause trouble, given his size, he could maybe cause it. He then acted like he was dizzy "oh dear, not again." as he then fell right onto the cashier making sure his hand caught the ribbon and tried to yank it off as he fell.

“How long? About a month, I would say.” The waiter answered Cera, looking over towards the wall where the sounds were coming through. As the two spoke the sounds of slot machines would only get louder, the sound of someone slamming things also heard. The waiter would look to Cera for a moment before looking back at the wall. What was going on in there?

If Cera were to concentrate on mentally ‘feeling’ for anyone beyond the wall she would detect a very distinct mental presence, as far as the team went. Only one person would have such a presence, if not because of what form of hybrid he was but also just his personality. Darts. In a Game Corner. Sounds right. But an abandoned one? Better go check it out.

Darts was sitting mesmerized in front of the massive 'slot machine' floating in mid air directly before his face. At least he wasn't berserk or asleep, but his mental safeguards were only going to hold for so long before that deeper, more primal side of himself took over and he started breaking things. For now, however, he was content to let it ride. "Woooooo hooooo!" He yells, thrusting his fist into the air in triumph. "Triple Starmies!" He crows, looking around at an imaginary crowd of casino patrons. "C'mon baby you know it's all about the Darts - let's put the money back in I can't lose!" From the ruckus he was making there was no way to miss the hybrid's location for anyone nearby, he was causing quite the uproar.

The woman gave Reno a scowl at his implication that their most expensive ribbon was less than the highest of quality. Clearing her throat she went to speak however the lumbering giant that was Deo would fall over the counter and somehow ‘accidentally’ snatched the ribbon off her waist that was acting as a belt. Fortunately it was only a ‘belt’ in the fashion sense, it served no purpose in holding anything up as she was wearing a dress. However the woman immediately took offense to Deo’s very bad attempt to make that look like an accident.

“How dare you! Are all you Snagems so uncouth and perverted!?” She shouted, not taking kindly to having her accessory ripped off her body, so shocked by this act that she forgot the purpose it really served. Obviously Reno would use this as an opportunity to pierce her mind, which would be especially vulnerable in this moment of heightened emotions and distraction. His most immediate concern would clearly be the button she pressed and what purpose it served. It would be easy for him to find this information as she was still thinking about how long it will take for her teammates to get here and put these Snagems in their places. There was a considerable amount of hostility in these thoughts as well.

Either way Reno now knew for certain others were on their way and they weren’t bringing cake and ice cream. Before he could poke around much else the woman mentally pushed him out as she snatched another ribbon out from behind the counter and held it tight. “Did you really think I didn’t know who you were?” She hissed at them, her eyes drifting between them. “I may not have recognized the hybrids but you, the red headed psychic Co-Leader of Team Snagem, you’re very well known to me.” She said with a smile as the gate typically used to close the store at night slammed down, trapping them all inside. “How lucky we are that you would walk right in. Didn’t expect to cross paths with any of you so soon but oh well, seize the moment!”

With that said she chucked a Pokeball over the counter and after bouncing off the ground a Lunatone appeared from it, one with that characteristic cloak of foul purple energy surrounding it. “Tooone!” Moaned the Shadow Lunatone as it appeared from the device. “Shadow Wave!” She commanded, knowing the exact move to call for. This wasn’t just some random person who acquired a Shadow Pokemon but someone with intimate knowledge of them.

With its shadowy cloak surging the Lunatone would unleash in a sweeping U-shaped wave a blast of powerful Shadow energy in the form of a Shadow Wave, the attack threatening to hit all three of them. In a small shop with the exit closed there was little place for them to escape to. It was clear that this woman only intended to keep them here long enough for backup, though even just one Shadow Pokemon could prove to be a challenge, anymore and their odds of victory will tank.

reeling back from what happened, Deo then thought that this shadow pokemon looked awfully like a rock pokemon. So thinking quick, he then launched a pokeball "Rex! Ember the shadow!" as rex came out and used ember on the shadow pokemon hoping to hit.

Reno only had so much initiative he could take. You could only move so fast while focusing on reading someone's thoughts, keeping connected to three other people for communication, and doing actual motion without turning into Octillerydad. So while he had enough confirmation the second the sales associate said the word Snagem unprompted, Reno wouldn't be able to capitalize and pin her down before the Lunatone came out. At least he could settle with the next best plan. Popping up Harleen as she reached his feet, Reno would dive towards the woman as the Wynaut prepared a Mirror Coat, absorbing the power of the Shadow Wave as much as she could before firing off a blast of Psychic energy directly into the Lunatone's form. Reno would be diving over the counter as this was happening, doing his best to get some form of grip or grapple onto the sales associate. "Okay, so you aren't dumb about Shadow Pokemon. Who gave you actual information on them and how'd they know things?" Reno demanded, continuing to scramble after the woman if she evaded his initial grapple attempt.

Quickly recalling Chinami to her ball before she had the chance to get out of hand, Lykas was a bit surprised to see Marowak's Ice Beam successfully freeze the Shadow Grimer solid so easily. On second glance, however, he'd noticed the Grimer actually seemed to be still moving around inside the ice. Before he had a chance to speak up on the topic, Monique had already tossed a Pokeball at it. Just case, he'd ready one of his own. He had no plans to train this thing but if they got it back to HQ, then they could at least ensure that it was off the streets and not a threat to the public while it was being purified. He was fairly certain Sub had GRAY working on purifying these things with the Team's utility Pokemon in his charge, after all.

William sighed in relief as Monique tossed a Pokeball at the frozen Grimer. "To be honest, I only had Hydrangea use Helping Hand because I didn't want her getting too close to that thing and risk infection, but I'm glad we've got it contained, now. That said, one down, who knows how many to go,"

William turned away from the Snagems as he said that and got a face full of angry proprietor for his trouble. With a nervous chuckle, he recalled Hydrangea and looked back to Monique and Lykas. "We should get going."

Brian cursed under his breath when the Fire Blast missed, though he shouldn't have been surprised. Normally, that would work much better on larger targets, but with Ralts being so small, there wasn't much chance of hitting with a less-than-accurate move. Firebrand grunted in pain as the Ralts hit him head-on in the stomach, and Brian was about to call out another attack, but something stopped him. Kazu was speaking to his Espurr, and what he did next had Brian wondering if the boy had a death wish of some kind.

When Kazu glanced at him, he bit back the command he was getting ready to give Firebrand, and gave a slight nod. He would keep Firebrand at the ready, just in case, but he would allow Kazu the chance to try and calm the Ralts. "Firebrand, stand down for now, but be ready to attack again if things go belly up, alright?" He heard a grunt of affirmation from the Fire-type, and turned his attention back to Kazu and the Ralts. Hearing the boy's words made Brian realize that he had forgotten something very important about Ralts: they were known as the Feeling Pokemon, and negative emotions almost always impacted them in a bad way. Even more so now, since this particular one was infected with the Shadow Virus. He mentally face-palmed when he realized this, and did what he could to temper his anger at the situation the poor Psychic/Fairy-type was in.

Brian watched as Kazu spoke to the Ralts, amazed that the boy was able to keep so calm, given the circumstances. He wasn't sure he would have been able to stay so calm, but he'd never been in a situation like this before.
