J.R. was really cool on stage, too. Seriously, he's virtually unshakable. Almost nothing anyone says even fazes him. Except for one moment:

J.R. has a reputation for spontaneously whipping out his phone while on stage at cons and randomly inviting friends and family to share the spotlight with him. At Burbank he did just that, and who should show up but Michael Trucco (Anders from Battlestar Galactica). He was taking questions, too, and somebody asked about Anders and the BSG writers' original plans for him.

Michael: Well actually, Anders wasn't supposed to make it this far. He was supposed to die. I mean, when you're the third leg of a love triangle, you're pretty much doomed.

J.R.: stare *death stare*

A little kid in the audience (and there were plenty of those) asked what his favorite animal was. He said wolf, then asked what the kid's favorite animal was. The kid was shy to answer, so he started throwing out suggestions. One of those was "monkey", but the kid said that their mom didn't like monkeys. "She doesn't like monkeys?!" said Jason. "Where is she?" The kid pointed, and Jason immediately jumped off the stage into the audience while doing a gorilla impression. It was...certainly something to watch. From across the room. xd
