You didn't need to. I found a special type of wood that increases the strength of magic by 100.

What is the wood called sir Devon?

It's actually simply called 'Mystic Oak'. It's found on a small grey planet of mundane, literal people. This wood is the only thing worth going there for.  

[Ember Terran]

Oh good, what did Nabooru say miss Ember?
