Ryouichi would slump against the wall as he pulled a paper out of his mask. He then slapped the piece of paper on the side of Izzy's mouth. "I'd suggest you sit back and relax. We have a long trip and we will be spending all of it inside this creature. We are heading to the mist if you're wondering Izzy." Ryouichi would say, yawning slightly, offering no answer as to what was quite happening yet. Taka gave a short bow and swept her arm under her motioning toward the gate. "Lead the way!"She said happily and would fall in behind him. She honestly had nothing to get in specific in takumi but was sitting on a ton of ryo at the moment from built up back pay.

It would be the first time in months that Jae had just leisurely walked past a checkpoint zone and the gates to a village. Stopping just before she entered she waiting briefly for interception from the Anbu but their lack of presence meant they judged her as a non threat. The only perk to being a part of this infernal village. She went straight for the office, in order to get the largest headache out of the way. She had left the Kage she had last known on rather brusque terms. He had been understanding enough of her situation but she wasn't sure how he would be now that she was returning after such a long time.
Following his trademark slow pace Hotaru made his way towards the gates. When the anbu stopped him he told them that he had a mission to perform. Fighting back the desire to deck both of them when they laughed commenting on his rank he handed them the scroll with the hokages mark grinning the whole time. That certainly shut them up as they nodded and let him pass without further harassment.
Returning to the gates he adjusted his jacket not to happy about loosing his shirt but in the end it mattered little. As he approached the gates he heard the guards going on about being a man down. With a sigh he made his way over to them and told them he would fill in for the missing person until the next shift came around. [1/4]
After a moment of discussion the other guards agreed and he took his place at the booth. It wasnt very long before a group of travelers came though and after taking the time to check their cargo he and the others let them pass without incident. Returning to the booth he kicked his feet up and leaned back in the chair. His hands fell into his jacket as he pulled a smoke from the pack in his pocket and lit it with a flick. He also gave one to the guard in the booth sitting next to him when he asked. [2/4]
While he enjoyed his smoke he talked to the the other guards to learn more about them and what guard duty entailed. Turns out one of the guards was a Hyuuga and that having either a Hyuuga or a sensory type shinobi at the gates at all times was just standard practice. He was also interested to find out that the guards shifts rotated based on not rank but time spent at the gates. Meaning the longer a person was on gate duty the less chance they would get it again in the near future. [3/4]
For reasons unknown to him it seemed the guards and even the random passerby's he interacted with enjoyed the experience. Maybe he just had that personality that made people want to follow him. Not that he would complain. As his shift was coming to a close he thanked the guards for allowing him to fill in. to his surprise again the guards told him that any time he wanted they would be more than happy to have him. Shoving his hands into his pockets he headed toward the academy looking for the hokage to report his success.
