"Spit!" The cry came as Lancer began his epic landing, which was nice and flashy, but the fact that he was pulling such a thing in such a linear way left him open to Bacon's next attack. Ember was released from the tepig, aiming for the Karrablast's estimated end point, so it would have to be fast in recovery to avoid this...

Lancers recovery landing was in no way meant to be 'flashy', it was meant to be efficient, and was. the maneuver allowed him to recover his stance in ample time to avoid the scorching ember attack. darting to the side of the attack, he then began rushing towards the Flaming pig pokemon once more.
Takamaru would have liked to keep there distance but that was not an option seeing as Lancer had no long range attacks. so there only other option was to close in a use there speed to there advantage.
The exact moment Lancer dodged the attack, assuming that Tepig was still spewing the fire from its nostrils, then Lancer would have been able to close the distance between the two and get into range to launch another 'headbutt' attack.

((Yeaaahh... sorry dude. Not been feeling it lately. I'm going to blame... Richy. Where he at?))
"Gimme a sec, I..." Wayne put his hand in his pocket and started feeling for his balls. But- "They're gone! My balls are gone!"
The trainer started to squirm amidst the debris and trash but to no avail; he wasn't strong enough to shift any of it. Well except for waste paper and syringes, the latter of which were vibrating unnervingly close to the trainer's head. There didn't seem to be any sort of unified research structure to this building at all, just what were they testing? Drugs? Machines? Maybe it was some kind of all purpose facility created by some shadowy organisation. Or the government.
After trying to move every part of his body, Wayne eventually managed to find some slack. With a twist, his arm moved from underneath a sheet of metal weighed down by bricks and he brought it up and out.
"Petii..." Petilil whined, too tired from her training and trip through the vents to use any useful techniques. The crushing rubble probably wasn't helping matters either.
"Hang on, Petilil!" Wayne shouted. When he finally saw the huge crush and grinders built into the wall he froze, nearly evacuated, then looked around frantically for his pokéballs.
There! They must have fallen out of his pocket for Hitmonlee and Solosis' pokéballs were scattered nearby. Wayne made to grab with his free arm but they were just out of arm's reach. He forced his grasp out further. Slowly. Nearly...
s**t! He touched the nearest one with his fingertip and only succeeded in pushing it further away. Solosis' training so far had focused on lifting heavy weights; he'd be perfect for this situation. But now he was too far away. Wayne's tired arm fell down and he gasped for breath.
"It's no use... I can't reach them and Petilil fainted..." Wayne admitted shakily. The metal teeth were getting closer, ready to tear and smash and rip and gnash the trash and trainers apart. Wayne grit his teeth, placing his hand over his eyes in angry defeat. This was probably why people weren't supposed to go into the Dreamyard.

There was a reason that Robby called the attack "spit." The fact that he could fire it quickly and easily was one of the reasons that ember was used. He was already long since prepared when the other pokemon began its assault. Another mistake on the opponent's part was the assumption that they were still faster. Bacon had landed two flame charges, each increasing his speed. He could use that speed, but when Robby called "Rush," he was already preparing his counter.
His faster speed came into play when, once again, he sidestepped the headbutt, and once again he flame charged at the opponent from their side.

A small grin played across Takamarus face as he anticipated the 'used' counter measure, and in turn, was prepared with his own. "Hup hup" was his command and Lancer, knowing what his trainer meant, jumped into the air before even reaching Tepigs location. so from there the Tepig launched into an empty space.
Where as Lancer was on his way back down onto Tepigs assumed current location, his teeth bared as he prepared to attack with a 'bug bite'.

Except that Bacon was neither blind nor absolutely retarded. So he wasn't jumping into empty space, he was instead looking at how the opponent was moving. A jump. A jump let him dodge the intended counter, but Bacon didn't need to use that if he wasn't there. No, that jump would instead play against the bug type, who was now coming down, mouth open to bug bite. The flaming charge, instead of happening instantly, would just be delayed. The assumed location, since the bug type had assumed that Bacon would be rushing, was incorrect.
As Karrablast fell down within range, still in the air with no real leverage to move, or possible methods that Bacon could see, the tepig came flame charging at him, and into him if the opponent didn't somehow dodge.

((Sorry for not posting about a week, summer classes had to take priority so yeah thats my reason for being gone, but now I have a bit of time so I can get back to posting.))
Purrloin would smile lightly after Henrietta had fallen into the pit and she had disappeared, it wasn't a intended attack but this worked out for what she wanted in the long run. Now that she was gone there was one other problem the Litwick and since her usual tactic of attacking and ducking is kind of ruined by the fact that they are near a forest and he is able to use fire. But for now this was going to be good, once the Litwick got within range of her expression she would give a smirk then quickly back flips off the tree and runs towards the woods seeming to lure the pokemon into the woods.

The flamethrower attack would crash into the tree, raining fire down toward the Purrloin as it poured. Quickly the tree would become alight. Did the Purrloin intend to burn the whole forest? Well, it didn't matter, it was the one putting the trees in the path. At the end of the day, it was the one directing the orchestra of death, if Striaton City were to eventually become a victim as well, then it would simply be the trainer's fault.
Except, Melty didn't follow Purrloin. The flamethrower masked his exit, and as the flames died down all that was left was a flaming tree.
A sign of what was to come.

"You can't be bad luck," Eunmi said. "Even if you believe in it, it's something that happens to you, not something you can be.
Besides, we've managed this far."

Yes, they'd managed to get into a run down facility, and then down a hall. Spectacular. Except they shouldn't have been in the facility in the first place. Henrietta looked over to Eunmi.
"S-s-s
Creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak-CRASH!
Henrietta jumped with, not just a scream, but a sort of adorable squeakish scream. She twisted around to see what had happened and the sunlight poured into the open facility ceiling, the tree finally too much for the old building.
But what of D-Vee and Dali?

"Oshaaa...." Dali was lying on top of the tree trunk, dazed and dizzy. D-Vee stood a few feet from him, a little more graceful in the fall. He muttered something under his breath, shaking his head.
"What the heck?" Eunmi replied, running back to where they had come from. D-Vee had already dusted himself off and casually strolled by Eunmi. Dali wobbled up to her, collapsing at her feet.
"Smeargle smear smear," D-Vee grunted.
"You're supposed to look out for- nevermind," Eunmi said as she scooped Dali into her arms. She quickly returned to Henrietta's side.
"At least we weren't... still back there."

Henrietta went pale at the thought of it and she nodded slowly. They'd certainly be dead if they'd stayed. Wait.
"Wh-wh-what about M-melty?"

"Uhm..." Eunmi looked back at the tree. The candle pokemon didn't get... crushed, did it?
"I don't know, you..." Eunmi pulled out her Pokedex. It had a scan feature, right?
"I-I think he's alright," Eunmi replied when the Pokedex didn't pick up anything. Either that, or the Pokedex didn't read signals of dead Pokemon.

"M-melty!" Henrietta called.
No response.
"W-we n-need t-to g-get b-back u-up th-there!" Henrietta said and then she turned and dashed off, back down the wall. She turned the corner and-
tripped over the same object as last time.

The attack from Bacon hit Dead on target, lancer was sent down and out. he could no longer battle. the big pokemon was down, but was all in all ok.
"Lancer!" Takamaru cried as he rushed to his fainted pokemon
"Ka..rr...a...bl...ast?" said the small bug pokemon as he came too, his face covered with disappointment.
Takamaru looked up to Roby to see his reaction to his victory..
