"True." Adrian said through a mouth full of roll before swallowing, his bright expression fading slightly with a sigh. "In all honesty, taking Sikes' pills wasn't the first time I snapped like that..."  

[Maya Freana]

"What do you mean?" Amaya asked as she looked at Adrian, taking another bite as she watched him, looking a little sad.

((Sorry, studying for finals.))

((Ick, I know that feeling. XP ))

"I was in the hospital for a few months for my slow and painful transformation, but that's a whole 'nother tale of woe. By the time I was close to being finished changing, it looked like I had two massive tumors on my back. When my wings finally did break free, my blood was everywhere and I could smell it. Suddenly I'm having this out of body experience where I see myself thrashing about, demanding more blood while the doctors tried to restrain me before knocking me out with drugs." Adrian said rather grimly before taking a drink. "After I woke up, I spent a solid week scribbling in my notebook, because as far as my coping methods go, if it's just a song, then what do I have to worry about?"

"At least you didn't hurt anyone." Amaya said with a shrug. "Some transformations end in extremely violent ways." She sighed. "Still, you seem to be the most normal person down here."  

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Yes, because denial is a perfectly healthy coping method." Adrian said with some sarcasm. "And I sincerely doubt that. The last bundle of pages from my notebook back home probably look like the writings of a psychopath, if not an emo kid."  

[Maya Freana]

"Just saying. And who among us hasn't been emo at some point with this?" She asked. "Hell, my entire ability is shadows, I was emo by 12."

Adrian chuckled a little. "You with shadows and me with blood...We might as well be the Emo Brigade."  

[Maya Freana]

Amaya snorted a little, shaking her head at the thought. "I'm sure we're fine. Or at least fine given the circumstances." She told him.

"Considering we're practically each other's therapists at this point, I'd hope so." Adrian said with a smirk.

((*maniacal laughter* I had a brilliant thought today for once Adrian is all healed up and able to fight. And it shall be GLORIOUS. *drums fingers together all evil-like* twisted ))

"Oh I'd like to think we're more than just each other's therapist." Amaya replied with a smirk of her own.

"Why can't it be both?" Adrian joked.

((Ooo, how did that go?))

((Actually I think I did really well, which is great because I was making myself sick over it.))


"Both of what?" Amaya asked as she cocked her head and looked at Adrian. She cast a look to Calista quickly, satisfied to see that the little girl was playing with Peter in the next room and seemed content.

((That's good. ^-^ The doing well part, not the sick part.))

"....I'm not actually sure really. I'm still trying to figure out what goes between 'friends' and 'lovers' on the relationship scale." Adrian said holding his hands out and moving one back and forth as if moving a sliding scale.

"Well technically we aren't lovers. Lovers would indicate that we have a sexual relationship, which we don't really have. But it's obvious we aren't just friends either." Amaya mused as she lean ion her elbows and sighed.
