A quick curl of smoke that expanded into a cloud marked taka's arrival at the gate. The smoke would clear and she would have several uhv dogtags in her hand, hanging by the chain and catching the sunlight. She was happy to be home as she strode through the gates at a leisurely pace.

Returning to the gates from the office he greeted the others at the gates. Two of them were the same ones he had worked with last time. The hyuuga sensor, which he thought was kinda redundant, and the kenjutsu expert that forged his own weapons. [1/4]
After taking his place he pulled a smoke from his jacket and relaxed against the massive gate door. After a moment his voice absently filled the air, "Oh burning heart of the world below, keep careful watch of my brothers souls. And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke, keep watching over the fires sons." [2/4]
Taking a drag from his cig he exhaled the smoke before taking a deep breath and continuing,"If this is to end in fire, then we shall all burn together. Watch the flames climb high, into the night.Calling father oh, stand by and we will, watch the flames burn auburn on the cities side. And if we should die tonight, we should all die together." Having finished both his smoke and his song he stared off into the sky. [3/4]
He had become a chuunin now and that meant he would have to be a leader. He had never tried to be a leader before it just happened from time to time. How does one try to be a leader? One is either a leader or not a leader. Not to mention how much he cared for his friends in the village. [4/4]
His attention was pulled from his thoughts by a runner the hokage had sent with a flak jacket for him. While the guards congratulated him he sighed and took the jacket but didnt put it on. He had led men during his time with the uhv and was unsure if he was ready to do it again but it seemed the Hokage wasnt going to give him a choice either way in the end. Waving good bye to his guard friends he headed back into the village wandering aimlessly.

As Bjorn and Grym approached the Gates of the village, Bjorn looked along the wooden wall surrounding the village, grunting to Grym, “Ryoku’s right, any fire and this wall’s gone.” As me moved up to the wall, an ANBU approached, asking what he was doing. Explaining the task the hokage had given him, the ANBU nodded and went back to his watch. Bjorn focused for a second before armoring up his arms and placing his hands flat on the village wall. Focusing his chakra, Bjorn watched his black steel slowly spread across the walls of the village. (1/3)
Maintaining his focus, Bjorn watched the steel spread further, covering the walls of the village. “This should help keep any enemies out…” he thought to himself. The steel would spread across his side of the wall fairly quickly, and when it appeared to be covered, Bjorn walked through the gate and placed his hands on the other side of the wall. He had already covered the interior side of the wall, now he watched the steel cover the outer part of the walls and gate. As it finished covering, Bjorn took his hands off the wall, touching the doors of the village as he walked past, he covered them in steel as well. (2/3)
Looking at the walls, Bjorn smiled, grunting to Grym “This should keep most enemies out.” Grym nodded his big head in agreement, smacking the wall a few times with his paw, hearing the steel ring out as his claws hit it. The brothers looked at each other for a minute, then turned to head towards the next building they thought should be reinforced. (3/3)

A lone Sunagakure ANBU appeared at the Konohagakure Checkpoint and unfurled his cloak as the winds gave him a chill. It was much cooler here than the temperatures he had grown used to in Suna. Approaching the Checkpoint he placed his hand on the desk and nodded to the Konohagakure ANBU behind the desk and spoke in a clear voice while maintaining eye contact.
"I am here to speak to the current Hokage, personal business regarding the effects of a Hatake Masahiro, on behalf of Sunagakure no Sato." The ANBU intoned, awaiting a response.
Having received information that the Kage would be alerted to his presence the Sunagakure ANBU moved a few steps away from the checkpoint and found himself a place to sit down and contemplate quietly. Taking a meditative stance the ANBU kept his eyes opened but his focus expanded, encompassing all around himself. Slowly small sparks of chakra danced up around and within himself.
He stared forward with those silvered eyes and began to adjust his clothing with minute adjustments of his shoulders. Instead of allowing his chakra to flow forward freely he let it sink inwards, masking who he was from the outset. The circulation of chakra was still quite strong, however, as Masahiro began to feel the hairs raising at the back of his neck.
He then pulled all of that pressure that was building up and sealed it into one core. This ball of energy within himself burned bright, but was not allowed to shine through or even materialize on the exterior as the ANBU watched the terrain around himself. When the energies stabilized the man let the energies return to their sources and he tilted his head up somewhat. [ 3/3 Advanced Training: Concentrate I Complete ]
He then immediately set himself back onto the meditations, the small white cat jumping down to circle around him as he did so. The manifestations of his chakra contained within himself as he waited. If it would be a long wait, at the very least he would achieve something of it.
His thoughts returned to an older time, a time when he had friends among the trees, when the leaves were his family. Sighing he let those memories do just as leaves do, the let them fall from his mind to the proverbial forest floor. Pulling his mind back in it returned to a familiar chain of images, on these he focused and his chakra danced and swirled within himself.
The images and his concentrations blurred into one at this point, he felt himself spiraling into his madness, that was until her face came to mind. That brought the ANBU back to his senses and he realized that he had begun to release small sparks of his materialization from himself while he was under. Sighing he finished his second bout of meditation and gave a small prayer to the Buddha, reigning his energies back in. [ 3/3 Advanced Training: Concentrate II Complete ]

The large arch spanning the entrance to Konohagakure. What appeared to be a loan masked Suna shinobi to the Anbu that were patroling the village. Judging by the attire he had on. They stooped over the gate before jumping down to greet him. They had no real reason to take this as a hostile visit, one he was alone and two they had just came to a friendly agreement with Sunagakure. Taking a formal stance and bowing to him welcoming him to the village the requested to know the pleasure of his visit and how they could accommodate his stay. The orders were firm that any interaction with a potential ally was to be treated with the utmost respect.
"As I was just telling this one here at the check station, I am here to speak to the Hokage concerning the personal effects of Hatake Masahiro, on behalf of Sunagakure." The ANBU replied in kind, looking the two over with a curt nod as he shifted his cloak somewhat, removing a Katana and Wakizashi pair and holding them before the men.
"I was told that this village used to require transgressing Shinobi to forfeit their weapons in the time of former Hokage, and I am willing to do such if required of me." He said, his silvered Green eyes staring out from behind the white Raijin mask.

The two Anbu agents understood his intentions quickly enough and were going to direct him to the whereabouts of the current Kage. When he presented his weapons to them they looked at eachother for a moment before returning their gaze upon the shinobi. "Please we insist you remain in possession of your weapons at this time. We understand previous customs but some things have changed between our villages. Also at this current time UHV are prone to attack at any moment, we were instructed to remain armed at all times." The two looked at each other again, exchanging a few words quietly among themselves before one of them turned to the man gave a bow and then leaped off. The other turned his back to the guest and instructed him to follow. "I actually saw him on my way here, It looked as though he was instructing some students at the academy. If we make haste we might still catch him."
Inserting his weapons back underneath his cloak the man continued forward towards the gate and waited for it to be opened. He turned back and looked to the ANBU who had come to greet him at such a point. A gracious nod and an affirmation grunt were all he gave as he began to make his way into and through the gate, allowing the Konoha ANBU to 'guide' him through the village.
"You know, this is my first time to Konohagakure." The Sunagakure ANBU quickly told the other, as he watched familiar sights and people running up and down the streets.
"But it is every bit what our mutual ally told me it would be when I arrived. It feels kind." He told the man, following his guidance.

The ANBU from prior returned to the gate and passed through, giving a nod to the Konoha ANBU who gave him the same gesture in response. One the word of the Kage he had been granted entrance and exit of the village and would make his return to the home of Masahiro Hatake in the Midnight Forest.
Yukki neared the gates dragging Kira along with turning to look at her she glared at her in a slight warning but said nothing and continued to walk out the gates letting go of Kira. In her mind she really liked Ryoku but she kinda wanted to keep that a secret she didn't want everyone and their sister to know and Kira wasn't helping by asking all these questions. She stepped past the gates heading on her way to takumi.

The Lone Shadow

Kira silently followed Yukki through the gates, she might not have known much about two-leggers and their mannerisms, but she knew when someone was upset with her in some way. She didn't know what she'd done to upset the cat girl, but then cats and their mannerisms were often beyond her anyway, so she wasn't sure she'd ever know. Kira shared a look with Isis as they walked out of the Gates and to who knew where. She was just following the cat-girl Yukki. {Exit to Crossroads}
I think the healthy way to live is to make friends with the beast inside oneself, and that means not the beast but the shadow. The dark side of one's nature. Have fun with it and you know, is to accept everything about ourselves.
Things had changed in this village. As Jae approached the gates she reflected on her adventures since leaving the village and mildly wondered if she would ever be able to function correctly as a shinobi from konoha ever again. It was hard to fathom a circumstance where feelings for this village could be restored. Especially with all of the sorrow that she felt when recalling past events. Stopping by the base she looked up, signaling to one of the current guards. "I am here to help." She stated, her voice almost lost against the distance between herself and her intended audience. It took a moment but three guards made their descent. They informed her of the watch thus far and any areas that needed more vigilance. She nodded mutely and went to patrol the base, as instructed. Taking her time, she meandered through the small shrubs. Trees had once aided in hiding the gates but the fox demon and uhv attacks had erased their existence from where she was wandering. It was a spooky feeling and she picked up her pace as a result.
She should have been more concerned about the remains stirring up past memories but they did not. Especially since she discovered the truth. About the uhv and Samuru. The world seemed different now. Less black and more dull grey. Poking at a green stem, she glanced up at the gates. She waved to one of the lookers, signaling 'all clear'. Nothing moved around this area and maybe it was a good thing. She was in No mood to fight. All she wanted was to patrol and move on. Jae continued this pattern for awhile until a guard descended and told her that the next watch would be starting and that she was free to leave. Jae curiously joined the watch at the top of the gates and took in the scenery. the sky was expansive as was the outer damage done by the demon. Such a depressing reminder etched into the ground. Thanking her fellow shinobi Jae finished here mission and jumped off. Landing softly she headed to the next possible mission.
Yukki made her way to the gates. Landing at the entrance she looked around noticing nothing out of the ordinary making her way directly back to the academy where she last saw Ryoku.

Standing at the gates, she was stopped before she had tried to leave. One of the guards came down to meet her, which piqued her interest enough to halt her. "We need someone to go and cut some wood in the forest. Are you free?" Jae looked to the ruins around her and then nodded her head once. Turning around she headed in the opposite direction. Time to get another mission out of the way.
