Bast stopped outside the Gates, wondering if she should just go inside now that they had a very loose pact of sorts. While she thought the idea over, a couple of guards hopped out of the shadows and accosted her.
"Ah, good, good," she repeated, waving them closer. "If the Hokage's got time, I'd like to speak with him about a matter of mutual interest. Would it be alright if I entered?"

The guards who had approached the Suna nin were quicky accompanied by an Anbu. The Anbu quickly took charge of the situation. Giving a subtle bow to her he welcomed her to the village. Upon hearing her request he sat and thought for a minute. Not because of her request but the fact that this was the second Suna nin to request the kages presence in just the last couple of days. "Forgive my hesitation, There seems to be a bit of traffic coming from Suna as of late. Just the other day an Anbu had come with the same request." Pausing for a moment. "But yes, please let me take you to him."
The guards returned to their stations while the Anbu guided the female shinobi to Ryoku's whereabouts.

Bast nodded and followed after the ANBU. She hadn't heard of whoever else was coming along, but now that she wasn't in charge anymore, these things were bound to happen. Above all, she hoped that nothing unsavory had happened that could jeopardize the situation for at least the next few hours.

Arriving at the gates, Jae was animated as she flitted from one end of the crossway to the other. She hadn't gotten a chance to see her mother yet but taking this opportunity to venture out once more was too much to let slip. The memories were still hard to deal with and despite the tremendous progress she was making, Jae felt that she was only one slip up away from ending up back in the fetal position and rocking herself to sleep. This was a good thing. For the better. She was doing some actual good and getting her cardio in at the same time. Stretching out her neck she let out a small sigh and set out. Briefly looking at the guards, they flashed her by and she took off at a sprint, wanting to push herself as far as she could while she was at it.

Taka came through the gates at her usual pace, lions trailing behind her as usual. She nodded to the guards as she passed by. "Back...eventually." she said. She was sent on all sorts of missions so this was pretty much the normal.
Things really havnt gone well lately within the village. No shinobi were performing missions, no gennin graduating from the academy, and no direction from the kage. Brushing a short crimson hair from his face Hotaru sighed and continued on his way out of the village with his twin swords on his hip clanking as he walked. Passing the guards he smiled,"Time for some survival training. Wish me luck guys." He chuckled a bit and the guards chuckled back. Waving past them he continued on once he was clear of the village he turned and sighed. This place had been his hope for so very long yet it seemed as if now it would be thus no longer.
As Masahiro approached the gates of Konohagakure no Sato he stopped and looked to the ANBU who were guarding the great monolithic gates. Sighing he stopped when approached and held out the piece of paper with his instructions from the Elders, which the ANBU read carefully, then nodded. A turn of his heels and he entered the gateway, a single doorway opening to allow the Jounin entrance to the village. His village.
As he made his way in he looked at the, obviously recently rebuilt, structures that stood around the inner wall. Many of them had been fortified in steel. Taking note of all this he continued his march towards the Hokage's Office. His Office.

Taka breezed through the gates. She noticed the village was on lockdown. Good. Time for some actual fire in fire country. As soon as she noticed the guards catch her eye under her mask she nodded to them and henged into a younger looking taka to keep under raps. She would slip in as a person with something to sell, hit hard and fast, and get her scrolls back.

"Sweety are you okay?" Hatsuka asked in a concerned tone directed towards her daughter. In truth she was far from okay but yet she wasn't about to tell her mother that. She couldn't for fear of telling her more than what she needed to know. In reality the only thing that mattered to her was that her mother and brother were okay. Hyousuke was close to Minato and was always a bit shy in comparison. Even though he was more vocal than her she stood out more as far as her demeanor.
Minato was walking in front of Hyousuke's like normal. Minato by nature was more fierce than he ever was. His eyes darting from tree to tree for fear of the UVH as they were approaching the gates. Minato herself had no idea why her mother wanted to come here of all places. If anything they should have gone to a closer village but her mother wanted here. Minato's sense of urgency began to kick in a little as the gates were closed. Her hand gripped the uvh katana she stole as she looked behind them to see if they were being followed.
"Sweety its okay to tell me what happened. You know that right?" Hatsuka told Minato. Her mother was always so caring toward her and her brother. Giving them nothing but the best as well as always being supportive. But with everything that happened within the past few days. Minato was never going to be the same and that was certain. Hatsuka tried to wipe some of the blood off of Minato's face but Minato backed away. "You're okay... you're with mom sweety." Hatsuka was talking to Minato as if she was currently five. "Please tell me what," Just as she was about to ask a Konoha shinobi approached them.
"The village is closed currently." He told the three of them as he looked down to Minato. Noting the blood over her clothes and face. As well as how tight her hand was upon the katana sheath. "Look there must be a way we can get in. We seek refuge right now." Hatsuka began to speak and then was quickly shot down. "The gates are closed." His voice was even firmer. Hatsuka was a nervous wreck at this point. With her daughter being taken to a separate portion of the prison for a few days and not knowing what happened. To the frustrating fact of being so close to safety but being denied.
"I'm going to have to ask you to," Just as the man was about to finish their mother shouted at him. "I used to live in this village a long time ago! I need shelter for myself and my children!" Her mind was consumed with only the safety of her children until a single thought came to her mind. "Let me speak with Masahiro Hatake! He knows who I am!" She shouted at the guard as Minato's golden eyes were scanning the forest behind them as her back was to the guard now.
Accompanied by a pair of ANBU, as well as those on gate guardian duties, Masahiro would arrive atop the walls, looking down to the woman and her children at the gates. Staring down to the new arrivals Masahiro immediately took in the difference between the children and their mother with his active sharingan. Focusing on them he took in the differences between their chakra, though the children kept some semblance of the mother in their own, it wasn't enough to hide the stark white auras they gave off, or the exceedingly white/silver hair they had in comparison to their mothers. Focusing for a few moments more he turned to one of the ANBU who had approached him earlier.
"Information." He asked of the man.
"Three Entities. Stating mother and two children, physical differences are large. The young girl is bloodstained and holding a weapon of UHV make with a damaged hilt, I'm guessing stolen. The boy seems malnourished and worried. While the gate team waited for your arrival they got the name Hyousuke from him. The girl didn't give a name, and the mother was insisting if we were going to deny her entrance then she would only speak to you or the Hokage. I'm pretty sure she doesn't know, sir." The ANBU spoke as he looked to Masahiro, who was busy re-aligning a removable sleeve over the fuuinjutsu written upon his right arm.
Turning to the ANBU Masahiro looked into her eyes and gave a nod, then looked back to the woman and children below. He shifted on the balls of his feet and adjusted the Konohagakure Flak Jacket he wore, twisting his braid back behind himself and securing it to the back of his jacket, giving him more than ample room to move his head and neck without it catching. When the ANBU got a clear look at the Hokage again his hair had lengthened further, chakra lines appeared upon his cheeks and brow, thicker lines encircled his eyes, giving them a catlike appearance. His pupils took on a catlike slit, centered in each eye.
"Chakra signatures match between them, even if the colourations are a bit skewed. The mother is honest, she's concerned, sincere. Keep our ANBU on watch for other threats, in case they have been followed in. I don't want any more surprises at the gate." The man said before taking a step forward, freefalling downwards some distance before he placed his feet upon the wall to adjust his angling.
A few handsigns would be made, and a bolt of blue-white lightning would burst from the wall down to the middle of the gate, a fair distance from where the trio and the ANBU stood. As the bolt took form to fly it shifted from a standard bolt of electricity to that of a white tiger, racing through the air. Upon its landing a burst of thunder would report and from the scorched earth the form of Masahiro would stand before them, his Tachi and Katana tucked into the belting at his side as he looked the figures over.
Immediately upon seeing their faces a sense of deja vu washed over him. Dreams he had once before returned to him, memories of the time before his comatose state flooded him. A young woman, a lover, a warm summer night in the Midnight Forest with fireflies and the sounds of the nearby river carried throughout. A whispered promise, words of love, then darkness, nothingness, the void. Only voices, apologies from the same woman he lain with only moments before in his memories. A last promise and a favour asked, to never forget.
"Hatsuka Hyourin?" The Hatake questioned, his question affirmed almost immediately as he took a look upon the tear streaked face before him.
The woman looked to her kids for a moment, then to Masahiro, she felt an overwhelming sense of relief knowing that the man still lived and that he would be able to clear this whole mess over. Though as Masahiro approached her one of the ANBU attempted to step up guard between them, calling her old lover Hokage-sama. Masahiro, Hokage? She stood aback for a moment, shock visible on her face at the connotation of these words. But then she noticed, Masahiro didn't have his old smile, he wasn't as warm, he was taken down with time. She had seen this in many other shinobi she knew, and her parents told her it was why they hadn't wanted her joining them in the Shinobi lifestyle. Still, this look in the man's face.
Masahiro quickly put the ANBU's worry aside.
"I know this woman, I vouch for her entirely. So the children must be Hyousuke Hyourin and..." He paused as he looked to the girl, who had never given her name to his ANBU, then looking to their mother.
When one of the smaller sublet gates in the larger village gate opened up to let them through, the woman took the initiative instead of letting her daughter speak first.
"Masahiro, maybe we should speak in private. There's... A situation you should know about..." She then looked once more to her daughter, Minato.
"Sweetheart, are you sure you're alright?" She asked as she prodded her children to enter the village following the Hatake male, who had yet to make the connection.
Still remaining silent her eyes were hooded as if she were tiring of the constant questions. Especially about whether she was okay or not. Common sense would tell them that she would have said something by now right? Why can't they just drop it already and just leave her alone about it? With her brother walking behind her like normal a guard moved to touch him. Whether it was to aid him or to get him moving she didn't know. But her thumb opened the katana a bit and she stared the man down.
Her brother quickly moved behind her and the guard didn't say much. He knew of what they must be going through so he waved the other guards away. Minato's eyes shined briefly with chakra as she would do anything to protect her family. "You're a Hatake huh?" He asked the daughter noting her white chakra. The guard looked over to the Hokage with a confused look. Or not really confused but one that might have been putting a puzzle together.
Instead of dwindling on it or what the guard was going on about. Minato continued to walk towards the village. Her eyes shifting from guard to guard assessing each threat. Not caring in the slightest about how comfortable her mother was with these people. These weren't Minato's people and if anything they were far from it. Looking forward she moved with a ferocity matched only by tigers. [exit]
Bast approached the checkpoint and immediately noticed something was up when she got a great deal of extra flak for not having any passport for Mononoke. After proving her identity herself, she eventually had one of the guards feel her golem's fur headdress to prove it was made of stone. She relayed why she had come--that a caravan from the Land of Fire had been attacked and the survivors had shown up at Suna, and also that her shipment of wood was missing--and then was sent on toward the Gates while the guards relayed the information to the relevant authorities. The former Kazekage approached the large red doors, stopped about ten meters from them, crossed her arms, and waited for some sort of confirmation of her presence.
