After all the teams arrived, their scrolls were taken from them and they were escorted to a large room. The floors and walls were scarred with many holes and scratches, as if many battle's took place here long ago. The Hokage himself stepped forward. "You are all that's left. You have done well so far, but now it's time to put your individual skills to the test. You will be divided and put into one on one matches. Only those who win will move on to the finals."

The Hokage looked to a large computer, looking at the names listed. "the first match will be between Mizune and Nowe. Everyone else clear the field."

Nowe gave his teammates a shrug and a smile and stayed where he was on the field. "See you guys in the stands soon." He said, turning to face his oppenet.

"Well then guess it's to be expected that I am not first" kohane said moving to the stands overlooking the area. "Would have been nice to get it done with quickly tho" she muttered giving a small wave to her teammates as she started to walk away. The thought of who she was going to fight kept in her mind hopefully she wouldn't have to fight one of her squad as she wasn't sure if she could do it or not.

Mizune slipped under the blade with swift movement and moved close to Nowe to send two palm thrusts at his chest.

Kikou rested on watching fight "I think I'm glade I'm not first it gives us a small chance to rest."

Mizune jumped back "Water Release: Violent Water Wave" Water gushes out of his mouth. Hitting the fireball making a blanket of steam. he then used the Hidden Mist Technique to make the whole area cover in a thick mist making it harder for Nowe to find him.

"s**t" Nowe whispered once he saw the water jutsu. Water had the defnite advantage over his fire jutsu. That was just going to make things more difficult. His eye's searched the mist frantically, hoping to catch some movement of the eney, but it was to thick. He drew his katana and moved into a defensive stance, waiting for an attack.

Nowe saw the clone coming for him and swung his katana, hoping to end the battle quickly. However, things were that easy. Before he realized it, he was trapped in a ball of water. He held his breath, trying to figure out some way out of this mess. Oh this is a wonderfull start. Come on...think...

Now he began freaking out. Nowe tried to struggle, but couldn't move under the water pressure. Not that his fire jutsu's would do anything in this situation. No No No, come on already damn it. Suddenly his eye's changed once more, becoming grey with rings. He tried pushing out, trying to break free. In doing so, he activated the Shinra Tensei ability, and the water around him was blasted away.

Now free, he gasped for air, only to begin a rapid movement of handsigns. "Phoenix Flower Jutsu" He shot several fire balls, all flying right for Mizune.
