Dhyl nodded at her. The garden? Hogwarts had a garden? He looked at her and smiled a bit more. "Okay. Sounds.... fun?" he said. He lifted his hand to his chest, and wrapped his fingers around the locket that he always wore. It held special memories.

Ariana smiled half-heartedly towards Dhylan. She was glad the boy had actually given himself a chance to open up to her. During the previous year, it seemed as though he became close to only Heather and didn't want anyone else to really know him. "So, how about after the feast, we go change into warmer clothing as it's freezing outside! Then we can go to the gardens?" she asked, hoping he would agree to this plan. It was too dark to really see any of the marvelous plants that grew there; however, that was not their biggest concern.

Steele watched as the conversation unfolded, not really taking much care. He then looked over at the Gryffindor table, wanting to see Mel again, just to see if he was dreaming. She was great. She was cute, but she never really spoke too much. She only said what was on her mind and he was glad she did. He wanted a girl like that. A girl of not many words, because he sometimes talked too much, which was funny.

Heather simply blinked at her friends. Dhylan had some issues to work out, this she knew. And Ariana was always one to help others, she knew this as well. But putting them both together she had never thought of. She had never been one to solve someone's problems. Heck, she could barely solve her own problems. Still, it made her happy to see Ariana helping one of her two best friends. She smiled at them both. "Well, have fun in the Gardens you two. I'll be waiting for you guys in the common room with some hot cocoa and a fire to warm up with when you return. Sound good?" she said to them. If she couldn't help out in one way, she would help out in another. This was her goal.

Ariana nodded with a smile. "Alright. I'll show you where the gardens are if you haven't been there before!" she promised. She turned her head to face Heather as she spoke. A wide smile spread across her lips. "That's perfect!" she exclaimed. After being outside in the cold autumn weather, it was nice to come home to a hot, blazing fire and some hot chocolate. The blonde girl was so sweet!

Heather smiled softly at them both. She loved this feeling of helping people. It was so knew to her. For so long, she had always drifted to the background to protect herself. Not any longer. The shy girl she once was was gone now, replaced with a proud and friendly Hufflepuff. "Oh, it's no biggie. I'd do anything for you guys. You know that." she replied to Dhylan's comment and Ariana's grin. A warm and fluttery feeling filled her from her toes to her head, and she loved it.

Dhyl agreed with Ariana. He looked at his plate, wishing the food would come. His stomach gurgled aloud, and he blushed a kip. His hand laid on his belly, as if to try and contain the noises. He smiled awkwardly at the girls, slightly retreating into himself. 'What if she can't help? What if nothing changes? What if... What is she doesn't like me back.....?' he thought, looking with a bit of forlorn affection toward Heather.

Heather grinned, her eyes wide with glee. She couldn't stop herself. She reached over and gave her fellow third year a hug. Yes. A hug. She squeezed the girl before releasing her. Dhylan's stomach growled, and she laughed at his blush. How adorable! His awkward smile and warm gaze pulled up the feeling inside her yet again. She wrapped her arms around her friend and hugged him too, squeezing his middle like she had done with Ariana. She released him after a minute and looked at her plate. Come on, feast! Appear! she thought, still smiling.
