Marcus heard Mia's comment about the dark, although faintly, due to the distance between them. "Shirak," he muttered, and at once the crystal on his staff shed its pale light, illuminating the hall and doubtless startling Nakhti, who could not have been expecting a mage to join them.  

[Maha clone]

Ayu shieled her eyes, hissing. Her eyes turned back gray, making her drop her arm. "Sorry...it hurt."  

[NakhtiChaos]

Nakhti shut his eyes quickly avoiding most of what to him seemed to be a blinding flash. His eyes changed going back to normal at the new sorce of light. Nakhati tensed waiting for this new person to make a move/

"Nakhti, calm down! This is Marcus..." She smiled looking at Marcus. "He is our friend so just stop tensing up."  

[NakhtiChaos]

Nakhti relaxed his stance..... only by a little Nakhti went back to looking around for the slightest hint of a trap laid.  

[Maha clone]

Ayu mumbled only low enough for Marcus to here. "Like we need a body gaurd." She sighed, closing her eyes.

Mia turned around slightly while walking so she could see Marcus. "Oh, you're here, Marcus. How'd you find us?" The professor stopped suddenly, in the middle of the room. "What's wrong, professor?"

"I've noticed something. The shining gems on the walls, some of them are gradually starting to shine brighter." The professor strayed away from the group to examine the gems and Mia followed to make sure he was ok.

"And not only that, but there are little figures in these gems. This one has a harpy inside." Mia leaned in to look. "Wow! It really does!"  

[Maha clone]

Ayu stayed away from the gems. She growled and sighed. "Ok...calm down."

Jake approached the door. He examined the door thoroughly. "Yes, ok, the stones are pretty, we get that, but remember what we're here for?" Once he confirmed that there was nothing bad about the door, he put his hand on it to open it but a gem embedded on the door started to glow and a fairy popped out and pushed Jake backwards to the ground.

The other gems with figures in it glowed and the figures popped out. Mia was quick to destroy the gem in front of her before it came out. "Geez, there's always something!"

(Just had an inspiration.)  

[Maha clone]

"Bad." She growled, her eyes went crimson and a white light embbedded the room, killing all the creatures in her line of sight. "Go away...." She growled the rest ran out down the hall. Her voice was layered and deep again.

"Wow! What power...but....it's kind of scary." Mia stared at Ayu. Jake pushed open the door. "Everyone! Hurry up, let's go before those things start to follow us!" Mia and the professor ran towards the door. "Ayu, Ty, Marcus! Come on!"  

[NakhtiChaos]

As soon at the creatures came out of the jems Nakhti positioned himself between the groups and the figures fully drawing his flame blade. Fire glowed to life as Nakhti swung at one of the approaching figures. Raising his voice at the group to catch thier attention Nakhti's arms were a flurry of motion trying to keep up with the little creatures.

"I can hold them off these..... things..... everyone move! I'll follow you."

As soon as Nakhti finished his sentence the fairy that knocked Jake down pushed Nakhti into a wall with force. With a reflex the flat side of the blade came up and batted the fairy into the opposite wall. Nakhti then mumbled.

"And people wonder why i hate cold small dark places underground."  

[Maha clone]

Ayu growled and the rest of the creatures disappeared into a white mist. "Let's go Nakhti." She walked out, walking faster than anyone.  

[Tiger Tales]

Tiger stares att the creatures she is being dragged away from. "Harpy, Stormwing, griffon, fairy... All have wings... Every one... All are winged, fly from the light. Only hearts tinged can feel the bite..." She stares at them, her eyes getting a far away look.  

[Maha clone]

"Stop mumbling Ty." She sighed.
