Susumu looked down at the Crane's attempt at a blow, stopping dead against his toned abdominal muscles. "This ain' no sword fight! Yer gotta do better than that!" Susumu grinned sloppily, before tightening his fist... he would swing in a fierce hook, which Zanzen barely managed to duck!

Zanzen, initiative!

Kojiro's Etiquette has bought him another turn.

Sayoko would snort, seemingly still skeptical of Kojiro's claims. "The kuge and most of the buke are all corrupted. By power or self-righteousness. Every one needs to be wiped out, so we can rebuild anew. It's the only way we'll truly be able to protect Rokugan!" Sayoko would swing her sword to the side dramatically, and clenched her left fist in front of her.

"There are two uses you could possibly have for me. Kill, or be killed. What will it be?"

Hisashi would tilt his head, a little bit stunned to hear what he heard, but also oddly intrigued to learn more about it.

"You... are aware that what you're suggesting is extremely treasonous, correct? And what makes you so certain that wiping people out will save Rokugan? How are you aware it will not unleash anarchy across the lands? Let alone how you intend to get away with high political murder..."

He would look at Kojiro, then back at Sayoko. "Two bodies are easy enough to hide, but sooner or later someone is going to notices that highly powerful figures are being assassinated... might not end well for you or your cause were you to be caught."

That plan was out the window. Ducking under a wide swing, he turned, attempting to sweep his hand into the back of Susumu's knee. Pray it wasn't as strong as the torso and he'd be able to hit it hard, maybe knocking the guy down. He'd need some sort of advantage to win this.

Susumu would turn his body as Zanzen went for the knee with a chop; this cushioned the blow, making it practically nondamaging to the Mantis.

Susumu would try a kick to the Crane's face, but the agile Kakita was able to roll away before it connected. It was a narrow margin, and it seemed that Susumu's attacks were getting closer each time.

Zanzen, initiative!

'I can't seem to get a good hit on this guy. What's with him?' Zanzen's thought as he dashed in, ducking low and throwing his elbow at Susumu's side.

Sayoko would turn her head to Hisashi, glaring at him. "All change is ill received. Such scum are so used to their routine that they would do anything to stop those who would stop them. I never said my cause would be easy. Just glorious!"

With the questions asked, the most Hisashi would get out of her response is that she doesn't seem like she thinks she has much to lose, and everything to gain, by such a suicidal task.

"I tire of talking. I gave you a chance to grovel before me, and instead, you question me. I'll quell this defiance as I send your souls to jigoku!" Reaching back and gripping her katana with both hands, she

"Pardon me, Sayoko-sama," Gemmei would say, standing up from her mat. "I believe I have lost track of the time, and the lore competition should be starting soon. I feel that it will be a chilly night this evening, so I beg of you to spare these two warm bodies to escort me to the competition. In exchange, I will see if I can talk reason into the minds of these two men; the Scorpion might make a good assassin, and the Mantis's beliefs could be easily swayed enough to match yours."

There would be a momentary pause, and Sayoko would look to the two samurai, then to Gemmei again. "No! They know too much already! They should simply-"

"I am not questioning your judgment on the matter, Sayoko-sama. I think I might be able to get through to them, and I'd hate to see such potential wasted needlessly," Gemmei would casually explain.

Is there anything Kojiro or Hisashi want to say or do during this exchange?

Zanzen would slip beneath Susumu's guard, and deliver a blow to the side of the ribs. This seemed to take more than the rest; the Crane only wish he had more force to put behind such a blow. {4 damage, Susumu is still healthy!}

"Tha's the best ya got? Don' make me laugh!" Suddenly scowling, the Mantis would clench his fists tight, as he prepared to go Full Attack. Putting one free raise to accuracy and the other for damage, he would whiff on his attack roll, unable to pin down the birdly squirrel. Squirrely bird. Whatever.

Zanzen, you have initiative and three free raises!

Dodging around Susumu's fists, he saw it the opening and went for it. Ducking under a swing, he threw his shoulder into the man's torso.

As Zanzen barreled into him, he would let out some air, but seemingly quickly recover (void spent, damage reduced to 1; 5 total, Susumu is still healthy).

Going full attack once more, he would attempt to deliver the same exact tackle to Zanzen, save with more force (1 accuracy, 1 damage); however, Zanzen is able to roll with the blow, barely able to defend against Susumu's attack!
