Atsuko considered both of there options but wasn't to hesitant. "The first one. Now, where is this task?"

He was starting to get a bit antsy with all this sitting around so he wanted to get the ball rolling so they could keep things efficient, well as efficient as possible at least.

Well that settled things now didn't it. Finishing up the pass he extended his arms, pass in hand, to each of them,"The strangling forest is your first objective. If you find anything there then I would like you to report back immediately. Lives depend upon this information and how quickly we can react and adapt to these new circumstances. Get this done for me and you have my oath you will want for nothing within reason." Dabbing out his smoke into the ashtray he rose to his feet. Once they had left he would follow suit, since he had been promoted he had been far too busy and his training was starting to show it.

Atsuko took the location to memory as he picked up his pass, giving the man a small smile. When he got up to leave he'd give a semi formal bow to the man and say "Thank you for this. We will not disappoint".

Once he would see Artemis follow suit, unless she had anything else to say, the duo would leave for the mission site.

Atsuko showed up to the hospital with Artemis, again making sure she was alright. Safety first. Once the pair were patched up he'd hurry along to the gate, not wanting to dawdle. There was a new fire in his eyes.

So the first thing was first: the twins needed to shower. Jay emerged, well rested, from his sister and gave her a thumbs up as he walked into the bathroom. Super hot water for Jeon, lukewarm for Jay. They emerged in scrubs, form fitting and featuring pockets unlike the usual brand. The duo signed in, rather Jeon signed in for the pair while Jay procured two sets of gloves and a pair of masks. Donning their equipment, the two of them made a path to start doing their jobs.

The moment they set foot on the floor, they were snatched in two separate directions without so much as a goodbye. It was Jeon that went immediately into an operating room. Someone had had a somewhat dangerous run in with some glass wolves on their way into the country. Pretty nasty bite wounds, a very gross looking nasty bite wound. Jeon, however, was unmoved as the blood stained towel they were using to keep pressure on the wound was removed and she asw how much blood there was still coming out. Jeon immediately buzzed around the room like only a medically practicing shinobi could and snatched up all the tools needed and a trey. She placed the trey on a table, and then once again walked off for alcohol in a small cup. Her eyes peered over the shoulders of the doctors as they began stitching, and sterilizing and even having to carve more into wounds. Luckily, the person was unconscious already. Likely from blood loss. Jeon's hands remained steady as one of the two emergency surgeons asked her to hold something. His keen doctoring eyes took note of, but didn't yet acknowledge. Instead, he and the other kept a running commentary of the procedure. Jeon and Jay had done an accelerated medical class in the academy, so they were versed at least in the basics of medicine.

For the opposite side of things, in another OR, Jay was doing pretty much the same. He gathered the tools, tools he had once cleaned, and gathered them for the surgeon. He mentioned to him off handedly that he should probably learn how to deal with knife wounds for just in case he or his sister or a squadmate ends up getting a knife to the gut. So, the situation here was a little different but eitherway, Jay was happy to be of aid. The first thing was removing the bit of pipe that had ran through the guys chest. Jay was about to slash through one side of the pipe with his bare, somewhat hardened hand due to training in chakra, but the surgeons, all of them, stopped him just in time. They had tools for that, and it was better they used them instead of risking he cut open his hand. I twas extremely unlikely he would slice open his hand doing that because of his bloodline, but that was far and away from the point. He got a but more hands on, keeping the man still as they safely removed the bar from his body. He took it and moved it to a biohazard bin, and came back to the table. He watched the delicate work sitching the man up from the inside, and using the appropriate eiesijutsu he wouldn't ever be able to wrap his head around. He did, however, keep an eye on the stitchings and dressings of the wound. Short term solutions until the man could be brought in for proper healings and medical care.

Jeon moved to another room after the first surgery was complete and cleaned it up as much as she could pending a coming patient. This one had fallen from a two story roof and landed on a window pain, Slashes all voer his arm and shoulder, losing blood fast. By the time they got there Jeon already had the room prepped and ready. She was directed on what to do, helping with as much of the woman doctor's work as she could. She cleaned wound sites ahead of the doctor's work, and for some of the smaller wounds applied some basic level medical care as well. It was a long couple of hours, touch and go work, but it didn't take long for them to get the person in order. Jeon was in the process of removing all of the dirty tools and changing her bloody gloves when the surgeon gave her a bit of praise for, against what everyone expected, remaining calm and steady while working. Her hyperactive nature, she admitted, is always difficult to curb but she is entirely capable of doing so. She looked at her hands, realizing that for once, in a moment of extreme focus, she was completely still. The excitement there in, however, completely threw that off. It entirely distracted her, and soon the jitters came back. Like a rocket, she was off again.

Jay found himself, next, in a situation where he would have to do more watching. A man had been in a pretty bad fight with some bandits, and the end result was a paper tag and some makibishi. Shrapnel riddled his chest and upper legs, but luckily the haphazard plan had done more harm to the overall damage that could've been done. The metal spikes had mostly just been destroyed, so his wounds were overall, with a few exceptions superficial. Still, Jay wasn't yet comfortable with such extremely difficult and touchy work. He held the dish the shrapnel was deposited in, gave fresh tools, wiped away blood and sweat alike as it became necessary. He himself was sweating a little bit in fact. There was one moment he was more than moderately helpful, when he noted a bit of blood dripping to the floro and caught shrapnel that had knicked an artery. A more experienced team immediately came in and he stepped aside. Comendations were given because he had caught it in the first place, and without that the man may very well have died. It took a special kind of focus not to be too distracted by the overwhelming amount of damage he had sustained and still catch the more subtle ones. This was the kind of focus that the anbu and hunter squads were looking for.

Jeon refocused in as she pushed a gurney with a team of medical shinobi and civilian surgeons who were barking orders and already extremely hyped up as far as their focus levels went. Jeon could see the man ahd sustained some burn damage to the right side of his body. Looked like a lab accident at first, but further inspection revealed that he had broken ribs and brusies all over his non-burned chest. He was found not long after the sound of an explosion not far from one of the forward bases in the country. UHV involvement couldn't be ruled out. Jeon immediately went to get the man blood. He needed it badly, more than she needed to be watching the process of saving his life. Jeon returned in time to see that emergency procedures were going off without a hitch. One of his ribs had punctured his lung deeply, and the blood filling it was going to kill him without a doubt. Jeon continued pushing oxygen into his mouth with the big air bag thing as they removed the broken rib and the blood and used high level healing to close the wound up as well as they could. Jeon watched his blood pressure starting to drop and called it out. The surgeons, aware but not keenly so, jumped into high gear trying to keep his heart from stopping. A crisis point had been reached but the group was determined to keep the man alive. Jeon admired it as she stood on standby, and in the end he was stabilized and moved to critical condition poste haste, with Jeon's muscles coming in clutch for the speedy movement of her patient.

Jay was in another room at this point as well, not giving himself a second to breathe as if he really needed it it. He held onto a pair of tools, watching a very delicate procedure. He wasn't even breathing normally for fear he'd be making too much noise. The twinbro watched every second of the precision work like an Owl, not so much as flinching as blood welled up and another nurse cleaned the site so carefully that Jay figured an ounce more pressure could kill the man. A pencil had punctured a child's heart, and the work to protect him was touch and go. Twice they had almost lost him, seconds after Jay had helped carefully get him on the OR table, and once more when the pencil had first been removed. Jay was keeping as hand's free as possible, watching over the child's vitals while only moving to change out or hand the surgeons new tools. This specific procedure went on for little over an hour and a half, and by the end they'd gone through six sweat rags and rotated out 6 doctors. Jay had stayed throughout the procedure, and only exhaled at the very end when they closed him up and sent him to critical condition. It seemed a lot of random nonsense was happening in Urgent Care that night. He vacated the room, approaching the desk where one of his favorite clerks happened to be. Naturally, the ******** charm turned on.

Jeon, while he did that, was aiding in another violent case. This guy had come in with a knife stabbed in his thigh. He had limped most of the way into the hospital and inexplicably made them worse. She could see he was bleeding pretty bad and starting to lose color. She was helping him into a wheel chair when he succumbed to the bloodloss and collapsed. She puffed a bit as she kneeled to the ground and saw how pale he had become. A gurney was there in seconds, and Jeon was a part of the team who carefully lifted him onto it, and then rushed him off to an ER. Jeon was on the level, grabbing universal blood to keep him from dying of blood loss, and then checking to make sure his breathing wasn't blocked. It was lucky she was being so diligent or they all might have missed it when he started to wheeze a little. She looked about his body, seeing the culprit: a bee had stung him. He wasn't down from blood loss, he was uncharacteristically slow on the allergic reaction to the bee sting. After making the call, a man ran down to get an Epipen, and he was stabilized within the minute. Jeon had literally saved a life, and just a few minutes after she was sending the man down to to critical care, pushing the gurney along the way.

It just so happened she passed by her brother, who smiled at his sister as wide as he could. So much so that the nurse, some young teen that he was chatting up could actually see it behind his mask. His attention was then further taken from his ******** tendencies by a surgeon hailing him for his help. He bounded over without a second thought, rolling over a counter and sliding into the operating room. He washed his hands hastily, grabbing a new set of gloves and a new mask. First thing first, he placed his hands on the guy's chest to try and keep him from moving and squirming so much, assuring him that everything was going to be ok. IN his state of panic, the man reached up and punched Jay, who barely recoiled but assuredly did frown. A few seconds later, the anesthesiologist successfully needeled the man and put him under. Jay, with a look akin to irritation, stepped back to assess the damamge. Ah, so they had called him for that purpose alone: the man only had a broken arm he was just manic and nonresponsive to the doctor telling him to chill. Either way, Jay looked at the clock, ironically just as he was getting annoyed with people his shift was officially ending. He met up with Jay by the desk, seeing her with her hair tied and how she was flashing her teeth at the very same clerk he was. Damn patients. He tapped her, and she told the girl she would come back and see her soon. Jay glared, she smiled like a demon, and the two split to go get cleaned up and then get dressed.

"" Making her way to the hospital the young woman was seeking some training in the medical arts since she apparently had the capacity to learn and it intersected with some of her other interests. As the Raikage worked quickly, Mizuki's clearance had already been updated to include some areas of the hospital. Thus she was able to head to the medical library at her leisure. The library itself had a number of scrolls although the attendant was quick to inform Mizuki that she unable to access information classified above B in rank. That was fine of course as she only wanted to learn some introductory things today.

The first of many techniques that she'd be learning in this crash course on medical techniques was simply how to use chakra in diagnosing ailments. After reading over the description it took only a few thoughts to cause her hands to gather the required chakra for the technique. While she had no test subject the scroll thankfully provided a kind of answer correction that took in her chakra and pinged back positive feedback. In the field she'd be able to gather information on a patient's problems that the eye couldn't see. Shindan [ Diagnosis ] [Learn a Jutsu]

After learning how to diagnose someone using chakra Mizuki moved onto another core basic of the medical field, using chakra to cleanse one's hands or wounds using chakra. The concept was simple enough as the scroll laid things out quite clearly. Capable of instantly sanitizing hands, face, arms, and even mouth it was a critical technique for a medical shinobi to understand. The easiest part of all was that once one understood how to concentrate the chakra properly the technique functioned with the simplest of mental activations. Kiyomaru [ Cleanse ] [Learn a Jutsu]

Moving on in her reading, Mizuki found a tad more difficult technique to study up on. This one was about using chakra to carefully manipulate flesh surrounding an item embedded within it so that the foreign object can be removed without causing further harm. According to the information available this particularly useful for objects which are designed to cause more harm on the way out. Clearly this kind of technique was why medic were said to be individuals with high levels of chakra control. Tekishutsu [ Extraction ] [Learn a Jutsu]

Following that another basic life saving procedure involved connecting a patient and a donor together via chakra. According to the text such a procedure would provide the patient with both a supply of chakra and in addition to that would circulate the chakra throughout their body. Supposedly this technique was quite helpful when dealing with a closed chakra circulatory system or when a soul had been removed from a body. However there was a stern warning about the fragility of the donor during the procedure and about making sure the area is safe before using such a technique. Gien to Kairan [ Donation and Circulation ]

Continuing to read through the text Mizuki cam across a technique which involved providing a massage to a patient with careful application of pressure and selective use of chakra. This procedure could help relieve sprains and strains in addition to just helping someone to feel comfortable. Surprisingly there was even documented evidence that it was known to aid in the recovery time of patients. Of course one could also use it purely for reasons of pleasure. Shiatsu [ Massage ]

Setting down that volume for now lest she grow bored of it, Mizuki pulled a volume about more attack oriented jutsu from the shelf. Something of note which caught her eye was a technique to cause a person to experience greater pain. By tweaking a persons nervous system it was apparently possible to make them experience a magnification in the amount of pain they felt. As it was highly skilled medic nin could make even the dullest aches become agonizing in intensity. Itami Gekka [ Pain Intensification ]

Another way in which the medical arts could be turned against the body was in causing blood to stagnate. In other words, creating brusing with chakra application. Simple in idea it was apparently a technique which when mastered could even cause death. Something for her to possibly dwell upon later if she ventured deeper into the offensive medical arts. For now though she would retain the details in the back of her mind. Ketsueki Juutai [ Blood Stagnation ]

While a medical ninja could aid the body with the relaxation of muscles it could thus conversely harm the body by restricting or tensing muscles. Green eyes scanned the details of a technique which would in essence provide an electric like shock to a body and then cause all of their muscle to tighten at once. Such a reaction would of course immobilize an opponent and allow for either a follow up attack to be mounted or for one to seek an escape. Certainly useful and perhaps it could be weakened to act as a fun stimulus during play time. Suji dageki [ Muscle Shock ]

Deciding to peruse a little deeper into the ways that medical jutsu could harm a person Mizuki discovered a more light hearted but also useful technique. With the aid of some chakra one could produce a gas which induced laughing. Simply put inhaling the gas would cause a target to laugh uncontrollably. [1/3] On the surface it wasn't very strong and infact it was presented as a mere prank performed by medical students. However Mizuki realized a deeper potential of it. First if it could be strengthen they effects could last far longer and thus make it that much harder for an enemy to fight. In addition to that it could serve as an easy bluff in combat. [2/3] After all who would willingly just breath in a gas that another shinobi expelled? Taking a moment to jot down some ideas about the jutsu in her journal she continued to read up on the details. After what seemed like quite some time Mizuki felt as if she would be able to easily perform the technique for real. [3/3] Okashii Gasu [ Laughing Gas ]

Though focusing on these so called dark medical techniques was becoming, Mizuki's emerald eyes spotted one final technique that she wanted to study before moving on. In this case it was derivation of the shunshin jutsu. Obviously one of the core differences was that it was tweaked by the application of iryojutsu. [1/3] The general idea was that either at the start or end of one's high speed movement, one would use iryojutsu to inflict minor cuts, abrasions, and tears in their opponents skin. Obviously for a medic nin this provided some unique opportunities to exploit later. One could only imagine what could be done to enhance such wounding later or even during the execution of such a shunshin. [2/3] This technique was definitely one which she sought to study. Rereading over the details a couple of times brought with it a new level of clarity and memory retention. When Mizuki was finished she closed the tome and moved on. [3/3] Eiseijutsu: Kuro Shunshin no Jutsu [ Medical Release: Dark Instant Movement Technique ]

Returning to a different volume of medical techniques Mizuki found among the possible techniques a rather interesting one that sort of sparked the imagination of the young kunoichi. During their female exclusive classes, many of the girls had been taught about using their sex as a means of blending in when in a foreign country since kunoichi were often employed in espionage and infiltration missions. This medical technique would essentially allow her to play nature with her vary own DNA. It'd take some time to learn how to do it en mass but changing select parts of herself one at a time wasn't too difficult. At least according to the text. Ningeniro [ Human Color ]

Also among these other basic starter techniques was another fairly essential ability for a medical nin. A special stitching technique that could be used to either to heal friends and attack enemies. The short version of the technique was that by pouring chakra out from her pores she could quickly stitch up a wound. The downside was that too much movement could break the thin stitching and reopen the wound. Other applications of this techniques involved attaching the chakra threads to an enemy and wrapping them up or pulling on them. Reimyo Honnui [ Delicate Stitching ]

Contained within the volume was supplemental information on binding agents for aiding in wound closure. One of the mentioned compounds was fibrin, and the text went into great detail about it could aid in clotting. Within the chapter was also information on how to bind flesh together, and also aid in strengthening other forms of suturing wounds. Setsugozai [ Adhesives ]

As someone who was interested in utilizing poisons in combat this next technique was highly valuable. Detailed within a chapter of the book was how one could instantly increase their resistance to contracting disease and blocking out the absorption of poisons. With a yawn she continued reading the text until she fully understood the technique. Teikouryoku [ Power of Resistance ]

Finally Mizuki came across something that was more practical. This next technique would be harder than the others she'd studied so far but it was also a staple of a medic nin's arsenal. By concentrating chakra to the hands a medic nin could use it to repair damage done to the body. [1/4] With her current level of skill she'd probably only be able to heal superficial cuts and minor injuries. Still it should be able to lessen the severity of more serious injuries or just help to keep her team functioning. According to the directions on the page one would call healing energy to her hands and then concentrate that chakra into a condensed sphere underneath the palms. [2/4] A soft green light would then seem to emit from a dark cyan ball of chakra. The idea of maintaining the flow was a bit difficult but not too bad since it was still within her skills. Reading about how the flow of healing chakra worked was also fascinating.[3/4] Essentially the healing chakra worked to stimulate the body's cells into action. Thus intelligent healing could be performed to quickly work on healing important areas first. In the end this technique seemed like a must for a medic nin to know. Chiyute No Jutsu: Karui [ Healing Hands Technique: Minor ]

In Mizuki's opinion however this technique wasn't good enough. Being able to handle lesser wounds or reduce the severity of greater wounds wasn't going to help most wounds. Indeed it was simply a beginner technique which had taught her knowledge required for more advanced things. [1/6] Perhaps reviewing the details of the base technique was a good place to start in learning the more advanced version. Looking back over what she had learned from the previous information her eyes scoped in on the fundamentals of harnessing chakra to the hands. Perhaps the most core part was forcing charkra to the hands. [2/6] Beyond that, one needed to convert the chakra into healing energy. That was fairly obvious but clearly it was still a core part of the technique. In addition to that one would need to make sure they utilizing said chakra correctly. [3/6] Following that the healing needed to be applied to areas needing healing. For efficiency's sake, targeting the severest of injuries was of course also important. Doing so would help to lessen the amount of harm the injuries could cause. [4/6] In addition to that one needed to make sure that their chakra was targeting the right kinds of cells to make sure that the kind of healing one needed was performed. Like stitching together flesh vs bolstering white blood cells. With all of these things in mind one could begin to understand how to better provide healing. [5/6] As it turned out reviewing had proven to be quite helpful. Mizuki now had a much better understanding of how utilize her chakra in the process of healing. As it was she could now conceptually understand how to heal more severe wounds. With a sigh Mizuki rubbed her eyes and yawned as the information sunk into her head. "" With a small yawn Mizuki prepared herself to continue studying when a doctor suddenly burst through the door. "You there! Genin! We just got an influx of patients and need your help." Without hesitating Mizuki rose to her feet and moved to assist. Hustling to keep up, the young woman followed the medic to a room that had at least a dozen injured shinobi on gurneys.[1/4] "I know you're knew so start with something easy. Help to triage the patients and sterilize the tools for our surgeons." With a determined nod and a smile Mizuki moved to get to work. [2/4] Her first patient ever was a young boy with sandy blond hair. He couldn't have been older than sixteen but he wore the flak jacket of a chuunin. "You're going to okay alright? What's your name?" He seemed to smile but otherwise was too weak to say anything. [3/4]

Quick to remember her studies Mizuki held out her hands over the boy and began to use medical chakra to scan his wounds. The first thing she picked up was a number of abrasions and other minor cuts or scrapes. However as this was her first time using such a technique the going was slow. [1/3] Asking the patient would of course be easier and quicker than her trying to look for injuries herself. "Are you sure I can't get you to make some noise for me~"" The man seemed to elicit a raspy cough in response as he apparently found her remark funny. [2/3] Hmm, it seemed that her patient was awake, but was having difficulty speaking. "Blink twice for me if you got hit really hard on your chest." She waited and just when she started to think she might be wrong, the boy blinked twice. Moving her hands to his chest region she focused on scanning deeper until the technique told her one of his lungs was collapsed and the other was partially collapsed. [3/3] [Diagnosis - D]

Grabbing an orange ribbon, she tied it around the gurney to signal to the medics the man's condition. In this case he wasn't in critical condition but he was close. So after the patients in immediate danger of dying were treated he'd probably been seen. [4/4] [Assist the hospital - D]

Of course there was one final thing to be done before she moved onto the next patient. During her studies it had been made clear to her that it was important to keep everything clean. With that in mind mizuki grabbed some sterile wipes and and an alcohol bottle to begin the process. [1/4] First she sterilized her own hands and the tools nearby just in case they were needed. Following that she looked to the various cuts and scrapes on her patient. "This might sting a little kay~" [2/4] Gently dabbing her the alcohol laden wipes she began to address the areas where he was bleeding. To his credit the boy didn't even wince. At least he was an easy patient to deal with. [3/4] Making to sure to try and balance speed with accuracy and gentleness Mizuki continued working to clean his wounds. Eventually her work was coming to an end and so she had to toss the now contaminated wipes into a biohazard container. Of course there were many more patients for her to get to. [4/4] [Purification - D]

Moving onto the next patient Mizuki found herself dealing with a man who looked to be about in his late teens or even early twenties. He had a lot of cuts and was also covered in a lot of blood. His clothing was soaked and that was making it pretty hard to see what was going on with him. [1/4] So far as she could tell, this patient was gonna require her to get down and dirty to do a triage assessment and possibly even apply first aid. With a quick use of the cleanse technique she was able to sterilize her self and following that she used traditional means to make sure she had a sterile pair of scissors. Taking them into hand she studied the man's shirt to try and figure how best to what she needed to do next. [2/4] The easiest way to get this done would to simply be cutting right up the middle. The fabric was tough but not terribly so. Eventually she was able to gently pull the shirt apart so that it was no longer obscuring his wounds. [3/4] It looked like he might have some projectile wounds but his skin was covered in blood too. Grabbing some sterile wipes she began to work on removing the blood and cleaning the areas around the wound. Make sure he was cleaned up and the areas around the wounds sterilized would allow Mizuki to properly proceed. [4/4] [Purification D]

"Can you tell me what happened to this handsome chest of yours~" The young looked pained but he also smiled at Mizuki before coughing up a bit of blood. "Booby trap, launched a bunch of nasty barbs at me." [1/3] Mizuki nodded as she studied the wounds. His chest was littered with puncture wounds that were bleeding profusely, and he seemed to be doing his best not to move. Based on her studies during the academy the projectiles probably had barbs designed to cause further damage with movement or if someone tried to remove them.[2/3] With a sigh Mizuki looked around to see if there was anyone else she could confirm her hypothesis with. Sadly none were to be found. As it was getting those out would greatly reduce the severity of this man's condition if not simply lowering the amount of pain he was in. Taking a deep breath she told herself to be confident in her diagnosis. [3/3] [Diagnosis D]

Confident that her patient had some sort of barbed projectiles lodged into his chest Mizuki readied herself to perform a technique which she had recently studied. Tekishutsu was the correct jutsu for this situation. Of that Mizuki was sure. [1/4] It was just working on a live patient was a lot more complicated than reading about it. Not to mention if she screwed up he might squirm from the pain and make things worse. No she couldn't think like that, she would perform it correctly and help this man. [2/4] Placing her hands on either side of one of his wounds she applied the technique and began to gently manipulate flesh around the foreign object to push it out of his body. It was slow going and if she screwed up it didn't show in the man's demeanor. Eventually it was freed enough for her to pull it out without causing more harm. [3/4] Slowly, Mizuki repeated the process on each wound until all the barbed projectiles were removed. Then she dressed his wounds using conventional means to slow the bleeding and help stabilize him until the other medics could get to him. Finally she applied a yellow ribbon to his bed to denote that he was in need of aid but not in critical or serious condition. [4/4] [Assist the Hospital D]

With plenty of patients still in need of being seen Mizuki was forced to move onto the next. It was hard not seeing one patient all the way through to being taken care of. However she understood the importance of the work that she was performing. Her next patient was woman closer to her own age, a civilian by the looks of her however. [1/3] She looked mostly okay but was currently unconscious. That probably meant that she had suffered some kind of head injury. Raising her hands Mizuki activated the diagnosis technique and began to scan the woman's head. [2/3] The technique revealed that she had some minor swelling but was otherwise alright. A concussion was probably likely but she could bee seen to by the other medics later. [3/3] [ Diagnosis - D]

There were a few things that Mizuki could do for the woman but first she needed to clean herself off. A quick application of the cleanse technique would kill any bacteria on herself. Having just dealt with multiple projectile wounds her hands had also gotten covered in blood. [1/4] This meant that she needed to actually clean it off if only to prevent herself form frightening other patients. Using some alcohol wipes she cleaned away the blood and got her hands looking pristine again. Tossing the blood covered wipes into a biohazard bin her emerald eyes looked for else she could help with. [2/4] It seemed that during her examination another medic had performed some kind of operation and left a bunch of tools out in the open that looked filthy. Those would need to be cleaned up straight away to prevent contamination from spreading. [3/4] With that in mind Zuki got to work on cleaning the tools. Wiping away blood and skin, as well as sterilizing them again. In the end they looked fresh and ready to go. So with that taken care of there was still ever more to do. [4/4] [Purification D]

Turning back to her head injury patient now Mizuki had some final things to take care off. For starters she needed to apply a green ribbon to the bed. That would signal that she was in no danger of worsening and could be seen to after the others. [1/4] Then to help ensure that the woman would receive speedy care when her time Mizuki began to fill in a patient chart. Jotting down that a diagnosis scan was performed and then listing the information it provided. With accurate feminine handwriting her notes would be easily readable to boot. [2/4] now that she was taken care of in those regards Mizuki made to sure to lay a blanket over the woman. Didn't want her getting chilly while she was knocked out after all. Then she pushed the gurney off to the side so that it wouldn't be in the way. [3/4] With her third patient assessed and first aid given, the young genin was certainly on a roll. However there was still much to be done. Other medics scrambled to get around quickly, and various shouts about patient condition could be heard all over the room. It was time to move on. [4/4] [Assist the Hospital]

One of the more experienced medics suddenly appeared by Zuki's side with a message for her. "There's a few patients over there that have been treated and can be moved to rooms for their recovery period." Such a request was simple enough for a genin like herself to hand. [1/4] "Got it boss," With a careful hustle to her step Mizuki grabbed the first of the patients that needed moving. It was more difficult to push one those things solo than she had first thought. However it was still doable. [2/4] After getting the patient to a room she signaled a couple of nurses to come help. They'd aid in transferring the patient to a bed and handle the paperwork. Hustling back the triage center, Mizuki moved onto the next patient. [3/4] Repeating this process several times, she eventually moved four patients in total. Even still she got little time to rest. Finishing that task meant she had to return to diagnosing, first aid, and sterilizing. [4/4[ Assist the Hospital D]

User Image A medic with bloody hands grabbed Zuki's attention and had her grab a clip board. Of course the doc left no time for dillydallying as he quickly rattled off some vitals for the girl mark down. Blood pressure, heart rate, blood type... etc. [1/2] Following that her made her copy down his diagnosis verbatim so that he didn't need to clean off his hands just yet. Then he made Mizuki read everything back to him to make sure that she had filled out the form correctly. Once he was satisfied, Mizuki was instructed to hook the clip board onto a gurney and go clean some of the tools in the area so they could be reused. [2/2] [ Diagnosis D ]

This was turning out to be a pretty busy day at the hospital. From what she understood some sort of skirmish had taken place out side the walls of the village and there were a lot of wounded to attend to. Such was war apparently [1/4] Making sure to get busy Mizuki went around to the different stations throughout the triage center and gathered up the contaminated tools. There were quite a few but luckily they were mostly small. Once gathered she worked diligently to start scrubbing them down and using a bacterial cleanser to make sure they were good to be used again. [2/4] When the tools were ready for new patients again Mizuki gathered them up and walked around to all the different observation areas to replace whatever tools they were missing. All in all it was speedy process which left her some more time to handle other required matters. [3/4] Including stripping down one of the gurneys and tossing the blood soaked sheets into the contaminated laundry bin. Of course Mizuki then had put on clean sheets and prep the thing for a new patient. When it was all finished, she moved onto looking for other patients to assess and put into their aid waiting system. [4/4] [Purification D]

Mizuki soon found herself examining a new patient. They were a teen boy and they had lacerations to their hands, arms, and legs. As Mizuki looked at the boy she realized that he probably wasn't in too much of serious condition. [1/2] However it didn't hurt to check. "Hey there... you doing okay?" her beside manner was awkward due to the anxiety she had around kids. "I think so, might need some stitches but I think it's not too serious." [2/2] Diagnosis D

"Well let me get you cleaned up, and we'll see what's going on." With an application of the cleanse technique to herself Mizuki got cleaned up before moving her hands to the boy. She then performed it on him as well so that she could get to work on cleaning the areas around his wounds. [1/4] There was a decent amount of blood around the wounds and staining his skin. However as Mizuki set about the wiping the areas clean she started to find that some of the cuts might have been deeper than the boy thought. Taking a mental note of that for later she continued to clean him up. [2/4] Disposing of the bloody rags in the proper receptical Mizuki grabbed some alcohol and just made double sure that the wounds themselves were clean. Particularly that they were free of contaminants. Wouldn't want him getting and infection now. "You pretty cute for a nurse" the boy muttered suddenly. [3/4] The words cause Mizuki to tense up and accidentally knock into one of his cuts. The boy winced in pain in response but said nothing else. With no more words shared between them she was able to finish in peace. [4/4] [Purification D ]

"It looks like some of these cuts are kind of deep. Let me take care of it okay?" She might have do some temporary stitching before applying some gauze and bandages. [1/4] Starting with the deeper wounds Mizuki began to use the delicate stitching technique by placing her hand to the wound. Soon chakra would flow into the wound and put in place delicate stitching made of pure chakra. These stitchings would hold so long as the boy didn't move too much. [2/4] Which Mizuki was pretty sure that the boy would not be moving any time soon. The process was repeated for a few more of his cuts as well. Hopefully that would stem a lot of the bleeding and leave him settled for the time being. [3/4] Now that his serious wounds had been assisted Mizuki could move onto the superficial wounds. Those simply required an application of some gauze and an adhesive. That final process was wrapped up fairly quickly and allowed Mizuki to move on after attaching a green ribbon to the gurney. [4/4] [ Assist the Hospital ]

Her next patient seemed to be in a pretty rough shape. There was a lot of blood and and deep cuts all over their body. Grabbing a stethoscope Zuki looked to see if see if their lungs were filling with any fluid or just how their breathing was is general. [1/2] Luckily their breathing was fine. So it seemed as if she was only dealing with the major cuts. That meant that Mizuki could actually do a lot to help them. [2/2] [Diagnosis D ]

Grabbing the patient's charts Mizuki filled out some key information to let the other hospital workers know that she would be taking care of things. After putting it back in place she headed to the sink to get cleaned up from her last patient. The cool water and soap felt good on her hands after all the work she'd done so far. [1/4] After drying off her hands Mizuki walked back over to the patient. She'd start by removing any and all clothing obfuscating the wounded areas. Anything she had to cut away was discard appropriately. [2/4] Then she set to work on cleaning the patient's wounds. Washing away excess blood before looking to clean any of the cuts that needed it. Some had dirt or plants matter stuck in them that had to come out. [3/4] Eventually things were getting close to being finished. Another minute or two of work, and the patient was ready for further procedures. With a deep sigh, Mizuki prepared herself to administer some aid now that everything was sterile. [4/4] Purification.

With everything now prepped Mizuki looked to the most severe of her patient's wounds. If she could reduce those and then bandage all the lacerations up things would be a lot better for this patient. [1/4] Holding out her hands over the wounds, Mizuki began to concentrate her chakra. Soon a visible ball was formed underneath them that shown with a light green glow. This was the most basic form of the healing hands technique. [2/4] Emerald eyes watched was the wound beneath it began to slowly stitch itself back together. The bleeding slowed and flesh mended. It was fascinating to see such a thing. [3/4] Once the wound was sufficiently reduced her hands to shift to another of the more severe lacerations. The process repeated as she reduced that one too. After all of this was done, she bandaged up the patient and left them with a green ribbon. [4/4] [ Assist the Hospital D]

At present it looked like most of the patients had been assessed for trauma. Now what was left for her was to help out with treating some of the more minor wounds among the remaining injures. A fairly simple task to be sure but as it was they needed more supplies. [1/4] Moving at a fast walk so as not to bump into anyone Mizuki quickly made her way to a supply closest someway down the hall. Once there she stuffed her arm with necessary supplies to bring back to the triage center. Taking a deep breath she soon began her trip back. [2/4] Once back she quickly worked to distribute the supplies to the necessary stations. Once that was done the other medics would able to get back to work. Of course that also meant that she too could get to work. [3/4] Finding a patient in need of patching up was easy enough. Like with her other patients she'd clean up the wounded areas first before applying any needed stitches. Finally she'd cap it off with some bandages. [4/4] [Assist the Hospital D ]

Mizuki was about to call it quits and leave and one of the nurses called her over. It seemed that there was patient who while minorly injured wasn't going to be seen for some time. Since the was currently free, it seemed like a no brainer to provide some assistance.[1/4] Upon approaching the patient their cuts and bruises were very noticeable and similar to the others. This was pretty much a cake work so with a smile she got to work. First up was off course disinfecting the wounds. [2/4] This meant an application of a little rubbing alcohol and some gentle touches. Slowly the wounds began to get cleaned as the patient just looked on in silence. Soon enough they were ready to be bandaged up. [3/4] A piece of gauze to each wound and a bandage. That would stop and bleeding and help the cuts to start healing. Anything worse would be seen to later by a surgeon. With a smile on her face, Mizuki looked for more way to help out. User Image Ever more work to be Mizuki looked around to see what else she could assist with. There was a patient marked with a blue ribbon that seemed to be making an awful lot of fuss. To make matters worse the nearby medics seemed to be quite annoyed by them for some reason. [1/3] Curious as to what was going on and all to assist the others, Mizuki walked over to investigate. "What's going on with those little cries of yours~" she asked the young man playfully. "My foot's broken and they won't do anything about it!" He was yelling and certainly acting like he was in a lot of pain. Though Mizuki wasn't so sure. [2/3] She checked his charts and say that it indicated a simple sprain. Clearly something else was going on here but it didn't hurt to check it out. Using the diagnosis technique, she looked for a break in the bones only to find nothing. The initial assessment was correct. She of course made to sure to verify that on the charts before informing the patient of such information. [3/3] [Assist the Hospital D ]

With a swift walk Mizuki made her way to the lab. If it weren't so busy she might have run there, however not causing an accident was on her mind. Wouldn't be too good if someone got injured because she had been running in the halls. [1/3] Upon arriving in the lab she found an angry lab tech staring her down as his eyes looked to the vials she was carrying. "If you want those tested you're gonna have to do it yourself, we're swamped here." Mizuki sighed, she knew these needed to be done quickly and if that was the state of things it was on her to get it done. [2/3] taking a seat at an open testing station, she inserted the devices into a centrifugal machine to separate the contents of the vials. It took no only about a minute to rapidly spin the vials and put everything into layers. Now all that was left to do would be testing the blood for toxins. [3/3]

"C'mon I'm not lying," he pleaded in attempt to get Mizuki to stay. With a deep sigh Mizuki stood around to see what he had to say. While she had confirmed for the others that his foot was not broken, quieting the man would still serve as an assist to the others working to treat patients. [1/3] "So what's really the problem? I can give you a brace and some pain killers if you'd like but I doubt your sprain hurts that bad." The man frowned, it seemed he was having time continuing to lie to her. [2/3] "I don't want to go back out there okay! My best friend got sliced in half and my squad leader ate some kunai to his neck. ******** that s**t!" Mizuki furrowed her brow as she listened, such reactions weren't unexpected at all. Just it wasn't much of a reason to make it harder for the staff to treat the wounded who weren't calling it quits. "Fine I'll write you a psych discharge if you''ll just keep it down. Whether or not you turn it in is up to you." The man nodded silently and waited patiently for her to fill out the paperwork. When it was all over, Mizuki walked away with a bad taste in her mouth. [3/3] [Assist the Hospital]

"You there! Psychiatric resident!" One of the doctors was shouting and of course it was for her. She was the only psych trainee on the floor today so it had to be. "Something you need with me" she inquired back. [1/1] The doc nodded and pointed her attention to a young boy who was sitting with a blank eyed stare and vacant expression on his face. "That one won't respond to any stimulus, been catatonic for a few hours. At the very least I figure it's worth it to get and official psychiatric exam on file." Mizuki nodded in agreement. [/2/3] Ashe walked over to the patient he didn't seem to react to any external stimuli. Even shining a light in his eyes caused no reaction, and neither did a wave. Obviously he was in some kind of catatonic state. This information was jotted down for the records. [3/3] [ Assist the hospital ]

"Hey there~ I'm Mizuki and it's nice to meet you," she spoke with a soft gentle tone. There was no response but Mizuki waited just to be sure. "You're safe now, it's okay. Can you tell me your name?" [1/3] Again there was no response and again she waited. Nothing. However, just as Mizuki was about to add some information to his charts, the boy finally spoke. "I'm Takeshi.... and you're real right?" So there he finally was, she'd made an in road to treatment but clearly the boy was in a fragile state. [2/3] "Mhm, I'm quite real. My name is Mizuki and I'm a resident at the hospital Takeshi." He seemed to nod but didn't speak again. Still she'd made progress with a case that the other's weren't equipped to handle. [3/3] [ Assist the hospital D ]

Continuing to observe Takeshi was now part of her job here since she wanted to make sure he didn't relapse when she left. "You asked me if I was real, did you experience a genjutsu?" Perhaps trying to help him recount the experience but in a safe environment would help to ease his mental pain. [1/3] "Yeah..." Mizuki nodded and waited to see if he would offer more. "Would you like some tea or coffee?" Takeshi simply shook his head no. "Can you tell me what you saw?" It would be important to see whether or not he could answer that question. [2/3] Takeshi seemed to look rather upset but he spoke anyway. "I killed them all. My friends, my squad leader, my squad mates. It felt good too... that's the worst part." With a fair bit of anxiety Mizuki gave the boy a quick hug. "That wasn't you."[3/3] [Assist the Hospital ]

A blank look dotted Takeshi's face after he reply. He didn't seem too interested in what Mizuki had to say beyond that. "Genjutsu can look and feel real but it's not, I promise you that. If you want to recover you can."[1/3] The boy seemed to look at her again with a slightly less vacant expression but he was still quite unresponsive. "We can get you the help you need, You can move past this Takeshi" [2/3] The boy nodded and whispered a thank you. With that Mizuki filled out some paperwork to have him moved to the psych wing. He'd be able to get the intensive therapy he needed there. [3/3] [ Assist the Hospital D ]

"Can I get some assistance over here?" The request came from a doctor who was currently stitching up a patient. Curious as to what was needed Mizuki casually walked over to investigate. [1/3] "I need you to draw some blood while I stitch these wounds, the patient might have been poisoned so get about 3 vials." With a nod she got to work on gathering blood drawing supplies. First she applied a small tourniquet to the chosen arm and then swapped the sight with an alcohol wipe. Following that she stuck the patient with a needle and began to fill the blood vials. [2/3] If flowed quickly enough, and soon she had three vials filled. Pinch off the blood flow Mizuki was quick to remove the needle and apply some pressure with a gauze pad before putting a bandaid over the site. "Good, now get those down to the lab so they can be tested asap." Without saying a word Mizuki went to carry out the new task. [3/3] [Assist the Hospital D ]

Now that the blood was separated she needed to test the non cellular components against special fuuin test strips. Essentially she would place a sample of the blood on the strip and it would react in a special way if a particular toxin was detected. It was certainly tedious but it was how she'd have to do it. [1/3] Each time she ran a test the fuuin strip seemed to fizzle out and burn the sample. All negatives and they were stacking up. Then it hit her, what if it wasn't a toxin but a bacterial infection? Grabbing a different set of test strips she got to work. [2/3] At first it seemed like she might wrong. However just as she was close to giving up hope, one of the strips reacted positively. Identifying the culprit as a blood born bacteria. With the mystery solved it was time to help the patient. [3/3] [Assist the Hospital D]

With a haste about her walk Mizuki carried the positive test strip back to the triage center. Of course she'd made sure to dispose of the others before leaving the lab. As much as she wanted to leave a mess for that lab tech, no wasn't the time. [1/3] Finding the doc again took longer than she would have liked but eventually she got a word in with him. "I ran some tests on the blood. it's not a toxin but a bacterial infection. Here's the test results." With that she handed off the strip him so that he could look it over. [2/3] "Good, at least now I can properly medicate. Nice work Mizuki." With a smile she bowed and walked away. Things were finally starting to quiet down around the hospital. Maybe now she could take a quick break? [3/3] [Assist the Hospital D ]

User Image Though things were finally quieting down there was yet more work to be done. Mizuki came across a patient whose bandages were stained red with blood. Clearly it was time for them to be changed. [1/3] "Hey there~ I'm gonna change those bandages and give you some new dressings kay?" There was an affirmative reply from the patient and thus Mizuki got underway. Carefully she unwrapped the different bloody bandages and set them aside for now. [2/3] However as she got the bandages off it soon became apparent that some of the patient's stitching had become a little loose. That just wasn't going to do at all. After removing all of dirty bandages, Mizuki grabbed a needle and some stitching thread so that she could get to work. [3/3] [Assist the Hospital D ]

First off she needed to sterilize the areas around the stitches that needed redoing. That wasn't terribly difficult for Mizuki at this point. Few dabs of rubbing alcohol and a few swishes of cloth and the area was good to go. [1/3] Nimble figures dexterously undid the old shoddily done stitches so that she could then re do them. It wasn't exactly comfortable for her patient so she did her best efforts to be quick and precise about it. Soon enough flesh was brought together as she worked. [2/3] The work was quick and she finished it up quick enough. All that was left at this point was to bandage the patient up and call it a day. To that end she grabbed the old wrappings and brought them to a hazard disposal container. [3/3] [Assist the Hospital]

After getting rid of the old bandages, she was quick to grab a new role and bring it over to the patient. Slowly she carefully wrapped up each wound and then a applied a clip to hold the wrappings in the place. [1/3] After each wound was bandaged she was sure to check and make sure that everything was holding in place. Seeing that her work was good she couldn't help but smile. Everything had been taken care off and so now it was time to cross some T's and dot some I's. [2/3] Taking the patients chart, Mizuki made sure to note the care applied. That would let the others know when the bandages were last changed. Once that was finished, she was entirely done. [Assist the hospital D ]

After becoming just about exhausted from all the work on the floor, Mizuki decided to take care of one final task in the triage center. After all the work that had been done, things needed a good scrubbing down. [1/3] Grabbing a bottle of sanitizer and some sterile cloths she got to work. Instruments needed a rubbing down. Scalpels, scissors, sewing instruments. All of it had to be made sterile. [2/3] Putting her back into it she worked quickly enough. As patients got moved out to various rooms for recovery it seemed to get more quiet with each tool she cleaned. Soon enough the place was empty. [3/3] [Purification ]

With the small detailed work it was time to do some of the bigger stuff. Heading to a supply closest she grabbed a mop and some bleach. Some of the floor was looking rather dirty and even had the odd blood stain here and there. [1/3] Mizing up a solution of bleach and water she got to work on the floors. Washing in small circular motions she slowly washed each area of the room. Before she knew it most of the place was looking pretty spotless. [2/3] Going back over some spots she missed was pretty much the last step of this job. When it was done she dumped the mixture down the drain before runing the supplies. With a job well done, and a serious emergency over she smiled before getting the lights. [3/3] [Purification]

Before heading out for the day, she wanted to wanted help out a little more. The least that she could do would be to handle some paperwork. Cracking open a big file she got to work on entering patient data in the filing system [1/1] [Diagnosis] With a sigh Mizuki checked the patient name and made sure to file it in the correct place. [1/1] [Diagnosis] The work was tedious but the hospital couldn't run without decent records. [1/1] [Diagnosis] Finally she put the last few documents away and called it quits for the day. [1/1] [Diagnosis]

With all of her work complete she could finally take a break from it all.

Apparently Mizuki had fallen asleep while doing paperwork. Why was this apparent? Well she suddenly awoke to shouting and hollering coming from down the hall. [1/2] Jumping to her feet she quickly made her way back to the triage center. "What's going on? I'm here to help!" A fellow doc grabbed her by the arm and lead her to a patient in need. [2/2] [Assist the Hospital]

"Got a new platoon coming in, serious wounded." Mizuki nodded and looked around to see who needed help. That was when she spied a man with a blood soaked shirt. [1/2] He looked like he'd lost a lot of blood. s**t she had to work fast or he might bleed to death. Grabbing a pair of scissors she cut away the fabric and looked to see what she was working with. It was real bad. Thinking quick she grabbed a compress and started applying pressure to the wound. [2/2] [Assist the hospital]

"I need some help over here! This one's hemorrhaging blood!" Actually switching to normal people dialect due to the severity of the situation the woman was in full life saving mode. Her shouts eventually got another doc to come over. [1/2] "This one is code red, needs surgery ASAP." The doc nodded and helped wheel the shinobi to the ER while Mizuki held down the compress to help stem the bleeding. "We'll take him from here" the surgeons told her. [2/2] [Assist the Hospital]

Mizuki wanted to sigh and take a breath but she knew that there were others who needed her help. At least she'd gotten that nap cause otherwise she'd be dead on her feat right about now. [1/2] Her eyes caught a new patient that needed care though so there wasn't much time to stop and think. This one was hurt a lot less but still needed care. After informing the patient of who she was Mizuki got to work. [2/2] [Assist the hospital]

They had a lot of cuts, abrasions, and few lacerations requiring stitches. These were things that she could easily handle even without expending chakra. grabbing some rubbing alcohol, wipes, and bandages she prepped for the first part of her work. [1/2] Starting with cleaning up the wounds was a good way to go. It'd help her to see what she was working with better as well. Putting her back into it, Mizuki got to disinfecting and wiping away the blood and other foreign particles. [2/2] [Assist the Hospital]

As she worked on cleaning up the wounds, she also looked to bandaged up wounds not in the line of drip from other wounds. In this way she could be a little speedier about things. Just without say having to redo the bandages after doing the stitches. [1/2] Finally she got to the stitches, and went to work. The lacerations closed up easily enough as she worked. Finally she was able to bandage those two. [2/2] [ Assist the Hospital ]

With that patient taken care of she was able to apply a green tag. That signaled to the others that the patient was stable and didn't need further assistance. A job well done. However further help was needed. [1/2] Moving to another patient she looked to see what was wrong. According to the patient their leg was broken and they were in a lot of pain. Grabbing some pain killers, she assisted with that first. [2/2] [ Assist the hospital ]

Then came the hard part. She'd wait a couple minutes for the pain killers to kick in first but then it'd be time. Once her patient was feeling a little better Mizuki explained that was going to set and then brace the leg so that it kept in place until the docs could do more. [1/2] She also made clear that it was going to hurt a lot. Didn't wanting upsetting all the the other patients with screaming. With a quick dexterous movement, she set the bones into place. [2/2] [ Assist the Hospital ]

Now all she had to do was put a brace in place. That part wasn't all that difficult. Mizuki also tried to be firm but gently. Hopefully it wasn't too tight or too loose. [1/2] However with that stuff it meant that she could apply a blue ribbon and move on. The ribbon of course signified that the patient was stable but needed further attending to. Just that they were the lowest level of needing attention. [2/2] [ Assist the hospital ]

Looking around for who needed help she found someone who looked rather green about the gills. They had vomit on their clothes and looked worse for where. "Can you tell me what's wrong?" [1/2] "Breathed in some kinda gas, hrugh.... it's makin me real sick." Probably a poisoning then. Grabbing some anti nausea medication was gonna be step one here. Of course she'd have to inject since they couldn't keep anything down. [2/2] [ Assist the hospital ] [10]

Grabbing a liquid version of the liquid and an IV bag she made her way back to the patient. First off she injected the medication. Countering that vomiting was going to be important. [1/2] Second she set up the IV drip. That would help to hydrate them and keep dehydration caused by the vomiting from becoming an issue. She also made sure to explain all of this to her patient. [Assist the Hospital ]

Finally she noted down what was given to the patient and when. This would help the other docs in given them more if required. Before leaving she also placed them at a blue level. [1/2] Mizuki was really starting to get the hang of this. Sure it wasn't her specialty but she could at least help out in small ways. She could have done far more with chakra but she wasn't authorized to do so yet. [2/2] [Assist the Hospital ]

No for now she had to stick to conventional means. That meant stitching up wounds, applying bandages, and making braces. With her next patient it looked like she was gonna be dealing with some swelling. [1/2] It seemed like they were a victim of blunt florce trauma. There was a lot of swelling going about their head. Mizuki went a grabbed a cold compress and an anti-inflammatory drug. Giving them the drug first, she then looked to press the cold to the swelling. [2/2] [ Assist the Hospital ]

Watching the clock carefully to see how much time had passed Mizuki waited. After a while she could lift the compress and see how the swelling was doing. Hopefully it wasn't internal bleeding. [1/2] When she removed the press the woman almost swore. It wasn't getting any better. Putting an orange ribbon on the gurney she signal to a couple of the doctors. [2/2] [ Assist the hospital ]

Mizuki just shook her head at the terribleness of it all. The fighting was stupid but she understood why it was happening. The UHV wanted to destroy their way of life and sadly that meant they harmed people in the way. [1/2] As she surveyed the wounded, she realized that many of them got off lucky. The patient she decided to approach had a nasty wound but they seemed to be holding together at least. Upon examining them further Mizuki realized that they had been pierced all the way through. She's need to be quick about this one. [2/2] [ Assist the hospital ] [15]

"You're gonna be okay, just stay strong." The man nodded as she grabbed the gurney and started wheeling it to one of the ORs. This was just one of those times she had to take charge and get stuff done. [1/2] Upon reaching the OR another patient was just coming out of a different room. They seemed well enough which should give hope to this man. Finally Mizuki made it to a clean OR and informed the docs of what was going on. [2/2] [Assist the hospital ]

With that taken care of she could get back to helping other patients. There were stills lots of injured and she was going to do her best to help them. Mizuki's next patient was dealing an intense outbreak of something on their skin. [1/2] Looked like some kind of plant based irritant to her. Though she couldn't be entirely sure about that one way or another. Still it didn't seem too serious. Marking them down as a blue was easy enough. [2/2] [ Assist the Hospital ]

Wiping her brow Mizuki looked around to see how else needed to be placed into the system still. There was one man with a lot of puncture wounds? Walking over to get a closer look Mizuki realized they were actually bite wounds. Possibly from a dog or feline. [1/2] "What happened to you?" Mizuki asked as she began to apply an anti-bacterial cream. "Stupid mountain lion that's what." [2/2] [ Assist the Hospital ]

The man winced a little as she applied the cream. Of course any pain would stop shortly as it was only the most temporary of stings. Then of course she bandaged woulds. [1/2] With that taken care of he could be marked as green. However Mizuki did note the information on the attacking animal down in case the man needed some shots later. With those two things done she could move on. [2/2] [Assist the Hospital ]

Things were starting to clear up but there was still at least a third of the patients remaining. Moving on to somebody else she found one with some pretty severe lacerations. There wasn't much she could. [1/2] However she could get them some fresh bandages and make sure to have near the top of the queue. Placing an orange ribbon on their gurney she made sure to note down the info on their chart. In particular she found out their blood type and made sure to note that down. [2/2] [ Assist the Hospital ] [20]

There was still a lot of work to be done. However a light at the end of the tunnel was coming. Mizuki glanced over to a woman who was laying on one of the gurneys. She fairly okay so Mizuki walked over to find out what was wrong with her. [1/2] As it turned out she'd taken a nasty blow to the head and gotten knocked out. As such her CO wanted her checked out for a concussions. So Mizuki check her pupils to see if they were dilating properly and talked to the woman for a bit to check her coherence and memory. [2/2] [ Assist the Hospital ]

Everything seemed to check out least. Jotting down her findings Mizuki made sure to detail all the information. As it was the woman was probably going to be held overnight for observation, and released in the morning. [1/2] After putting back her chart things were almost done. The last thing Mizuki had to do was attach a green ribbon. After that she was free to move on to another patient. [2/2] [ Assist the Hospital ]

The floor was starting to empty out a little as she kept working. Emerald eyes caught sight of a patient who had a lot of cuts. Seemed to be a pretty standard issue she worked with these days. [1/2] Starting with some small talk, she began to clean the man's wounds. She was getting pretty quick at this point so was able to go a lot faster than before. Pretty soon everything was ready to be bandaged and stitched. [2/2] [ Assist the Hospital ]

Now he was able to get stitched up. With a firm hand Mizuki worked the needle and thread. Slowly his worse wounds were pulled together so that flesh could mend. She made sure to close of each set of stitches with a descent end. [1/2] After that she could move to bandaging. That was honestly the easiest part. In no time at all he was good to go. [2/2] [ Assist the hospital ]

After attaching a green ribbon Mizuki was off to do more work. Her next patient seemed to be dealing with a lot of dizziness and blurred vision. A poison was certainly a strong culprit. [1/2] However Mizuki felt as is something was up. Focusing in on that feeling more, she realized that there were two different chakras emanating from the patient. That more than likely meant that they were dealing a genjutsu. [2/2] [Assist the Hospital ] [25]

However treating that was not something she was authorized to do as a mere genin. No she'd have to alert someone else and have them handle it. Alternatively she could wait until the genjutsu expired. [1/2] Mizuki ended up marking the information down in the patient's charts and attaching a blue ribbon. They weren't really in danger and could be seen to after the more critical cases. Taking a deep breath, she looked around to see that only a few patients remained. [2/2] [ Assist the Hospital ]

Feeling pretty worn out, Mizuki came upon what was hopefully her last patient for the night. They had some different cuts and bruises. There was also some first degree burns. [1/2] Nothing too serious at least. Starting with their cuts and scrapes she worked to clean them up and then applied some bandages. Pretty easy work by this point. [2/2] [Assist the Hospital]

After handling the cuts and scrapes she moved on to dealing with the burns. Taking a disinfecting cream she gently rubbed the afflicted area. After that she'd apply a special sterile bandage for the burns. [1/2] Fortunately such injures would heal very quickly. Like always, Mizuki marked the chart. Finally she applied a green ribbon and called it quits for the day. [2/2] [ Assist the Hospital ]

Finally done for the day, Mizuki could head home. Either that or go do something. At any rate her shift was over and she was free. [Exit]

                                                        • The young Samurai decided to make another trip to the hospital, fresh memories putting two things to the front of his mind. One: Entering a life or death situation without he or his teammates having medical training was terrible, and they were lucky to come out on top. 2: If he wanted to be an ANBU operative out of respect for an old friend, it was best to get medical training sooner than later. He pushed open the front door with his shoulder, keeping his hands in the front pockets of his jacket to protect his hands against winters slowly rearing head. "Ah! Hiraite-san, welcome. You haven't suffered injury, have you?" His brows raised, but it wasn't really too surprising that someone would recognize him immediately. He had quite a few visits to the hospital before the month he was away, either for his own injuries or escorting allies for their own wounds to be taken care of. While he preferred to be a wallflower and loathed attention, he supposed that being recognized by medical staff wasn't the worst fate to exist out there. Soraru allowed the door to close behind him and went through the process of removing his jacket before continuing, leaving him in his usual dark shirt with the low round cowl that covered the majority of his neck.

"No, but thanks for asking." It's her job to ask, idiot. He swiftly berated himself in his mind, continuing without a noticeable hitch. "I actually came for medical training today. Emergency response seems interesting but I think I want to study for any possible field surgery in the future." It was really the best option for someone who focused on blade-based combat as much as him. His accuracy was already spot-on, he was perpetually calml (and could force himself back into that state if needed) and had a clan technique that worked best with that field of study. "I see...yes, I think that would suit you nicely. For now I'll show you to the rooms where you will take patient information for the sake of triage. You should just handle the walk-ins seeking urgent care rather than the direct emergency room patients, at least until one of our surgeons can properly fit you in on a case. I'm the charge nurse, so once you diagnose them and sterilize your materials, you can relay the information on the patient to me." He nodded his head in response, somewhat familiar with how things worked. While he didn't have any real medical training, he got to watch quite a few of them at work during the many civil wars of his home country. Clinical patients weren't his forte, but there were worse things.

Moving to the one of the clinic rooms after that, he dumped his jacket on the counter and looked through the supplies that were there...didn't seem like anything had been used or required sterilization just yet, but that would certainly happen down the line. Exhaling out a sigh, he took a moment to remove Suwari from its place at his hip, placing it in the closest corner. Next to it was his Wakizashi, and on the opposite side was Kaileer's broken uchigatana. He removed his chakra dispersal gloves and placed them in the jacket pocket, moving over to the sink then to wash and sanitize his hands, covering them with the available thin white gloves after. It wasn't long until a nurse led someone to his room, the door opening to reveal a boy who couldn't have been more than two years younger than himself. Still, he had a strong build, noticeably more muscular than the samurai. There were small cuts along his shirts and pants but no wounds on the skin, meaning the most likely scenario was that there was a medical shinobi on his team who helped him. He obviously looked fresh off a mission, but there must've been something out of the medics league. The big build, one arm was down to his side with the other holding the lateral head of his trapezoid on that downed arm. The one holding was trembling. "Hey there, I'm Soraru Hiraite, I'll be taking a look at you today. Do you mind giving me your name and sitting over there?" Sora said, grabbing a pen and pointing it towards the raised seat where patients were normally examined. "Yeah, Shintaro Yanosuke. Born in the village sixteen years ago on the third of December. I was-" He was cut off by a palm facing towards him, a silent command from Sora to stop speaking. "Sorry, but let me take a guess. You're a warrior right? As in...big weapons, or sword and shield maybe? Can you hold out your hands for me, palms forwards like this?" The guy nodded with a smile, though it strained a bit when he had to move his obviously injured arm. Sora examined the palms, noting that the one on the more damaged arm seemed to be bruised and very calloused, though the latter was likely something that happened over time rather than recently. "Ah, I think I got it. I'm gonna take a guess if you don't mind. You use a shield, but something either a lot bigger or a lot stronger than you was beating down on your guard. Instead of evading or retreating, you decided to try and withstand the blows. That would explain what I assume is probably a minor muscle tear. The bruises on your hand are from gripping your shield tight against the force of it all. You may just have a fracture there as well." The look of surprise let him know that he was mostly correct in his assumption, bringing a grin to his own lips.

"Are you a detective or a nurse?" The guy asked, being a good sport despite the pain. Soraru respected that, and closed most of the difference in between them so he could gently take the mans hand in his own, sliding his touch down to the wrist and slowly turning it. There was a tense, and a wince after a moment, making the Hakemoto relieve the pressure a bit. "Looks like a scaphoid fracture. They're pretty common, especially in our line of work. I'll see if I can have you scheduled for an X-ray just to be sure, but I'm pretty damn certain what you've got up there is a muscle tear if the force broke your wrist. You're a tough guy and you were probably just protecting others, but don't forget that you need to protect yourself as well. If you fall, what happens to everyone else?" From there on, Sora let the charge nurse know that there was a patient with some moderate injuries that should be looked at further by a doctor. He waited in the room with the guy and made some small talk while putting his weapons and jacket into his quiver of holding, only leaving when the doctor arrived to take over.

Settling into a new room, he noted that it was quite a bit messier compared to the last one he was in. Jeez... He thought, deciding to do a bit of cleaning before the next patient came in. He wiped off the main counter of blood and bile before thoroughly cleaning it. Disposing of all the wipes he used via the biohazard bin, Soraru continued on to clean off anything that didn't have a lid attached to it, sterilizing the metal tools and replacing anything possible with extra materials in the supply closet within the room. Seemed to be a patient with internal injuries who was throwing up bile and blood both. The pungent stench was a hazard in of itself, however he had more pressing matters to attend to first. He ripped the paper-like sheet from the clinic bed, throwing that into the bin as well before replacing it with a new one that he laid out across the furniture. With all that done, he clasped his hands together and formed a seal in order to trigger a certain Fuuton technique. While he didn't use it at its full strength, his chakra would form flower petals that whisked around the room, eliminating and replacing the past odor while not generating enough wind speed or flowers alike to cause any damage or make a mess. When the scent was gone, he opened the lid to the trash bin and directed the remaining petals down there, finishing his overall purification of the area to the best of his ability. With all that said and done, he removed his gloves and threw them away as well, washing his hands quite thoroughly before replacing them. Better safe than sorry after all.

Hanako looked around as she arrived at the place the gatekeeper had pointed out when she asked about Sora. The Hospital? Why would she direct her here? Panic gripped her as she quickly made her way in looking around. A nurse greeted her and Hanako calmly spoke, "I seek a shinobi by the name of Soraru...The gatekeeper told me he was here?"

The nurse nodded and pointed to a door, explaining that he was in the clinic room. She bowed in thanks and walked quietly into the room, looking around.
