 Dr. Sirrah Tayashi "Love is like the wind..." Sirrah continued the delicate procedure of removing Mr. Vance's brain tumor, smoothly answering Kevin. 'I can't at the moment, love. In the middle of brain surgery... I'll be exactly four minutes. What's the problem? Can you handle it, Kevin?' If he couldn't handle it, of course Sirrah would leave right now and go to the twins. But if she did that, this man would die on the operating table. She'd rather not kill him if it wasn't necessary; the man had a wife, three daughters, and seven grandchildren. "You can't see it, but you can feel it's there."

Richard Naruse The man looked at him with bright, eeire, yellow eyes and gave him a distant smile, casting a lustful gaze at the two nekos. "Yes, you may. I am looking for two run away children from my house. They are nekos and their mother is very worried about them. They go by Lokita Thorn Roseblade and Lulu Archer Shadowstrike. I wanted to get them home." He purred silkily in an almost pleasant voice. [Once you are mine, you are always mine.]

Dr. Kevin Rawlings Kevin clenched his fists on the desk and set his jaw, every fiber in his body longing to tear that man's head clear off of his neck. That man had the nerve to say that lie with a smile. "Funny. Those are the names of my nieces. They told us some very interesting things about why they were missing for seven years. You must be the animal that did that to them." He said in a dangerous growl. :I have to see people die everyday, but that just makes the ones I save that much more special:

The stranger laughed and Lulu shuddered, tears running down her face in silent terror. "So, you caught me. Yes, I am their Owner. And I would greatly appreciate you returning my property to me. Dr. Kevin RawlingsLulu stood slowly and began to walk to him, crying and trembling all over, but Lokita turned and hissed at him, grabbing her twin and pulling them both against their uncle, who moved to put himself between the man and the girls. "You want them, you gotta kill me first you pansy a** b***h. How dare you come here and demand me to give you my nieces as if they were trinkets. You will never, ever come near them again. If you don't get the ******** out of my office, so help me I will take you down to my O.R and personally remove your god damned heart. Provided you have one, you son of a b***h." He said in a rough growl, the rage making it almost impossible to let him live. Sirrah! That four minutes better ******** be over! It's him! It's that b*****d! He's demanding for the twins!:I have to see people die everyday, but that just makes the ones I save that much more special:

Dr. Sirrah Tayashi "Love is like the wind..." Mr. Edward Vance had gotten lucky; she'd removed his brain tumor and sewn him back up by the time Kevin alerted her that the Owner was in the building. She snarled and tore out of the OR so fast that it left her surgical team's heads spinning. 'I'll be right there! Don't let him take them, Kevin! Do you hear me?! No matter what, keep them away from him!!!' "You can't see it, but you can feel it's there."

Richard NaruseThe man smiled at Kevin, a cold lust at the nekos who were being blocked from him and a smoldering hate at the man who was keeping him from his rightful property. Well, well... It seems that Lokita is no longer under my control, but Lulu is still willing to honor that bargain we made all those years ago... Perhaps I can still call her to me if I can get her alone... He turned to the door but glanced back at the group. "I am now aware that my propety is being kept from me. Wouldn't it be a pity if one of them vanished again? I am willing to bet that you wouldn' find them ever again though. I have ways to make it go away for me, and you are merely human Dr. Rawlings. I can make Lulu come to me anytime I desire if her twin isn't there to stop her. She is my property after all. Mind, body, and spirit. I have out stayed my welcome. Farewell, and I will be back for you Lulu Archer Shadowstrike. I will have my prized possession sooner or later, and you know that you cannot defy me. Your sister depends on it." He said in a warm sounding voice before he turned and left swiftly, putting his hat back on and walking to the elevator, and going down to the lobby. [Once you are mine, you are always mine.]

Dr. Kevin RawlingsKevin turned and held the two girls to his chest, whispering softly to them as he waited for Sirrah to get there. They were shaking harder than he ever thought a body could, his own body vibrating from their trembling. Lulu was a dazed, crying, shuddering mess, her ears flat in a submissive posture, her tail puffed out fully, her eyes wide with untamed terror and out of focus, her mind clearly not even there. Loki's fur was standing on end, a soft growl of anger and slight fear rumbling from her, her tail swishing around wildly. Lokita pulled away from him slighly and faced her twin as she felt her horror, resting her left hand on her cheek and stroking it softly, slowly bringing her out of her horrified trance. Kevin simply held them, wishing he wasn't a doctor and hadn't sworn that damned oath to do no harm. He wanted to do plenty of harm at that moment. He wanted to tie that monster up by his own intestines and strangle him with his spinal cord. He wanted him beyond dead. He wanted him ended. Sirrah, where are you? I need you here, the twins need you.... He asked her in a weary sounding voice. :I have to see people die everyday, but that just makes the ones I save that much more special:

Dr. Sirrah Tayashi "Love is like the wind..." Sirrah entered Kevin's office just two seconds after he'd tried summoning her mentally again. She was panting slightly from her run, and looked around wildly. The Owner seemed to be gone, but his scent remained. 'Damn... Why couldn't I have gotten here faster?!'
She calmed immediately at the sight of the crying twins and crossed over to them, taking the girls gently into her arms and soothing them as best she could. "Hush, now, sweethearts... You're all right, it'll be all right... We won't let anyone hurt you..." "You can't see it, but you can feel it's there."

Dr. Kevin RawlingsKevin sat down in his chair heavily, feeling older than ever. He mentally informed Sirrah of what had taken place, careful to tell her everything word for word. Sirrah, I should have killed him. I just wanted to kill him, but I didn't want to move away from the girls. I didn't want him to have an opening to them if I get injured. I should have done something more so he couldn't hurt them ever again.... He felt helpless as he watched Lokita hold Lulu tightly, her mind slowly returning more and more as they clung to their aunt. He didn't want to see Lulu touched by that animal, and he knew he should have done somethig right then and there. :I have to see people die everyday, but that just makes the ones I save that much more special:

Dr. Sirrah Tayashi "Love is like the wind..." Sirrah looked up at Kevin over the heads of the twins with her piercing green eyes as he let her know what had happened. When guilt started to seep into his mental speech, Sirrah's eyes softened. 'You did the right thing, Kevin Rawlings. You protected these little girls. That's what's important. Don't worry. We WILL get that man, and we will make him pay for what he's done. But for now, the twins are safe. And for now, that's enough.' "You can't see it, but you can feel it's there."

Dr. Kevin RawlingsHe looked at her, half believing that what he had done was right. Most of him knew that he had done the right thing, but a tiny part nagged that he should have killed that man. He stood and walked over to them, wrapping his arms around the girl and hs love and holding them all close as he cried silently. "Shh... Shhhhh.... It's okay girls... We'll get through this as a family.. We wont let him near either of you, none of us will..." He said, his voice rock steady as tears ran down his race. :I have to see people die everyday, but that just makes the ones I save that much more special:

 Erin Joyce Lee "They tell me that love is wonderful..." "You know, I'm not terribly fond of this city, but there really is nothing like it at sunset," said Erin softly as she walked down the street, hand in hand with Ash. A month had passed since Kevin had invited them to stay at his place, and they'd long since moved into Erin's apartment. It was in a fairly safe part of town, so Erin wasn't worried about the two of them walking around in the open like this. Ash's leg was much improved, but still needed exercise to continue the healing process, so Erin and Ash took a walk each evening. This time they were walking toward Erin's favorite local coffee shop.
Erin couldn't have been happier. She had the girl of her dreams, Tsubatsu hadn't shown his disgusting face in weeks, and she was now working with Ash and the guys at the shop. It turned out she had a knack for painting cars, so Brian had briefly trained her and then she was hired. Her first real job. And she loved it.
They entered the coffee shop and Erin looked at the menu board for a moment before glancing at Ash. "I need to use the bathroom real quick, sweetie. Will you be okay by yourself for a minute?" Ordinarily she never would have left Ash alone, but she was fairly confident that this place was safe. She knew all the employees, and there was only one other patron in the shop; a man sitting at a table by himself, his back to the girls. "...but how can something so painful be wonderful?"

Ashika Rose Dresden Ash smiled at Erin and kissed her softly, not even giving this a second thought. She knew Erin would protect her, and that she would protect Erin. There was no doubt in her mind that nothing could happen to her with Erin in the building. "Go ahead babe. And if you don't come out in five, I'm comin in after you to do some mouth to mouth. And mouth to other places too." She said with a wink, sitting down in a booth to rest her leg. The walking had helped a lot, but she knew she still had a long way to go. Kevin had told her that she would always have a limp after she over used it, but nothing else really. {Within the darkness, two halves become the whole once more.}
