You could make a poultice out of mud to cool a fever. You could plant seeds in mud and grow a crop to feed your children. Mud would nourish you, where fire would only consume you, but fools and children and young girls would choose fire every time.

More like her father in coloring than her mother (except for the eyes and the Hightower gold wings that some Tyrell's share), she inherited a lot of her mother's personality traits. Independent, headstrong, and with no regard for convention she doesn't get along well with her mother at all (being too alike). Her father's more soothing personality is what draws her to him. To her, he is the light of all lights in the world. It's his love for her that makes him send her to live with her cousin--to have a good life that her mother could have ruined for her (because of him).
Eager to please her father and quick to learn, she melds in well and becomes a lady of Highgarden learning to hide her true nature. However, the life of a lady isn't what she's suited for and sooner or later she'll reveal herself.
Around her ankle she wears four stones. The stones are gifts from her father Tregar, so that she can protect herself. The two cyan stones are Tears of Lys, a quick poison that leaves no trace but causes the poisoned to waste away from a sickness of the bowels. The amber stone is Sweet Sleep, sweet to taste and used to help sleep. A small piece causes peaceful sleep and a slightly larger one causes eternal sleep. The last stone is the purple Strangler, an obvious poison that closes of the airways strangling the victim. For now, she keep her antidotes in the brown silk around her neck but she will soon have a jewel that hides them.
Backstory:
Davina Mo Nighean Donn was born to Tregar Ormollen and Lynessa Hightower in the herd of Lys. Her mother had forsaken her Westerosi roots to become a concubine to her father. However, Davina's father had higher aspirations for his beloved daughter. As a foal, he had her taken to the Westorosi herd of Highgarden where she could be raised as a lady with her cousin Margaery Tyrell.
Using his vast wealth, Tregar bought for Davina a house and it's colors. She chose the blue of the Tears of Lys to remind others that death would be swift to those who wronged her and the golden flower of her cousin's house Tyrell.
It was thus that House Ormollen was born, and with it Davina was forced to keep her distance from her father and mother. Though she could do without seeing her mother, the separation of her and her father tears her heart in half. What is a good marriage and standing if she cannot see the face of the first stallion she ever loved? The stallion that no other stallion would ever live up to?
Unbeknownst to her, a lady from Lys blamed her father for the death of her own daughter in child birth. The lady sent out an assassin from the Faceless Men (a mare who was once Kamilla) to take Tregar's daughter Davina from him as her own daughter had been taken from her. However, in a mistake of fate--Kamilla attacked Margaery, Davina's cousin who fit the description she was given as well as Davina.
It was that night that Margaery disappeared.
