Darkened Hearts

[Crimson-Valkyrie]

Avillon aimlessly walked around the forest, hoping to stumble across the dip that was in the forest. She was having a hard time really concentrating on where to go. She wondered if Kaida was alright, and where he had headed too but she had to stop. Avillon kept telling herself she would always remain a rogue in the forest. Not that it was a good thing, but it was just how things fell into place.

"Where is that damn town!?" She asked herself tripping over a large rock, stuck in the middle of her way.

Kaida kept moveing foreward when his demonic senses began to take over suddenly. What the hell that means- Kaida changed into his more demonic form just in time. As two demons cames flying out of the trees both landing a solid punch into Kaida's abdomen. The force of the impact carried Kaida into a tree with a loud slam. Out in the distance a third demon spoke.

"So it was you encroaching on my territory killing my servents."

Kaida coughed hard as he spoke.

"Aw hell the wuss and his possy have come to fight as a team this time?"

With a roar the two forward demons charged. One was more human like except he was covered in scales and had a long tail. The other looked more like a minatour complete with the bull like horns. Kaida charged at the two drawing his swords letting lose his own battle cry.

Avillon got to her knees and rubbed her face. She looked at the rock and pulled it from its resting place. With a strong arm, she was able to throw it a good long distant away from her.

"stupid rock! I hope you..."Avillon stopped and wondered why she was talking to a rock.

Quietly she got to her feat and listened to the noises around the forest. She was sure something was not far down where she left Kaida.

"I wonder if...he's okay?"

Kaida and the demons met in the middle with a flurry of blows Kaida tried to take the menitoar's head off with his blades. He was blocked by the horns leaveing him wide open as a tail went directly into his abdomen slamming him back into a tree. Not stopping Kaida stood back up and charged again this time the clear vial he invented yesterday came off his belt. Please be something destructive.  

[Tiger Tales]

Shyana glides through the forest, taking in the scenery and relaxing for the time being. She slows her walk to a stop and bends over to examine a droplet of water on a low laying plant, marveling at it's beauty and simplicity. "Lovely day." She hears a scuffle not far away and cocks her head to hear better. "Bunch of goons are going to ruin this... Serenity."

birds flew up not far from the trees she had been around. Avillon was worried now, they never flew that fast as a flock unless something was disturbing their home.

"He better not be in trouble..." Avillon dashed for the previous camping ground area she had been staying at the last night.

Upon her arrival, she was taken back to see Kaida in battle with another demon.

"You're like honey to fly's!" She said pulled out her duel daggers from their place holders.

It may not have been destructive but it sure as hell was bright very bright. The morning exploded with a pure white light that consumed the two demons blinding them instantly. Kaida himself was halfway blinded since he covered his face on instinct. Chargeing the green tailed demon this time Kaida swung both short sword out manageing to put two deep wounds across it's chest in the pattern of an X. The minataour like demon on the other hand swung out blingly with a fist and impacted Kaida's jaw.

"Sonova-"

Kaida flew back six feet hitting the ground then rolling to his feet wipeing blood from his mouth.

Avillon cocked a brow and leaned on her one side watching the fight.

"fine, Ignore me, but when your dead, I'll just say something rude." Avillon turned her back to the fight and waited for a few seconds before sighing and walking off to the side, watching from a distance from a near by tree.

The way he moved kept it hard for her to keep up with her eyes, but she was able to catch a quick glimps in the corner of her eyes.

"show off..."

Considering he just took a massive blow to the hear he could not hear well due to a ringing in his ears let alone see straight. Can't. Stop. Moveing. He charged again keeping low to the ground his short sword blades igniteing in flames three small stoned rose up in his wake. Right before he reached the scaley demon he jumped over it. The three rocks hit the demon heating rapidly to where they detonated against its flesh spraying it with many sharp points. The scaley demon cried out in sever pain falling to its knees gripping its chest whick barely had skin on it now. Meanwhile Kaida swung down with both swords this time one blade cut of a horn while the other was stopped. The blade that got through the left horn managed a light cut upon the demons shoulder before the minataur demon grabbed him and threw him back into another tree. This time he hit the tree with enough force that the tree its self cracked along the base and slowly began to fall backwards. Standing up Kaida now in adittion to blood running out of his mouth had open wounds upon his back and several had splinters within them.

"D-damnit."

Again ignoreing the pain he charged foreward but he glimpsed someone out the corner of his eyes. Is that her? Nah can't be she's propably in the forest thankful she left me. Just keep fighting.

Avillon yawned and rolled her eyes. She wasn't sure whether to step in or not. He seems to be alright...but then again, the blood and massive damaged to his body didn't look so good.

"Wonder if he'll need my help?" She asked herself replacing her daggers in their sheaths.

Slowly she raised her arm and pointed in the direction of Kaida and his opponent. Avillon grinned and sent a stream of fire in the middle of Kaida and the demon he was up against.

Kaida jumped just in time as fire blasted across the ground under him distracting him for just a second. WHAT THE F*CK! It was all the minataur like demon needed as he caught Kaida in mid air by the throught. The scaley demon staggered to it's feet unsteadily and ripped into Kaida's legs with it's claws earning a pained growl from him. In retaliation the brown vial came off of his belt and smashed into the scaley demon's head acid hissing loudly as the scaled demon began to disolve from head to toe screaming in pain. Several punches to the abdomen later Kaida was thrown twoards Avi impacting the ground Kaida tried to stand on his injured leg. Who in the hell interrupted the fight and who's side are they on? One more against me and i'm screwed.

Avillon jumped back and yelped. She was surprised that didn't help at all...but of course she tried didn't she? Avillon stepped forward closer to Kaida and reached down to help him up but was scared to touch him. She slowly pulled back her hand and wondered if he recognized her in his demon form.

"Kaida?..." She asked softly.

Kaida hobbled to his feet and watched as the scaled demon completly dissolved. Looking down at his now liquified companion the minataur demon spoke up.

"So ye be the one to be makein the first kill on our brethren too? Ye will pay half breed ye will pay."

Kaida ignored the little speech and glanced back at Avi with glowing red eyes. He sensed she reached out to touch him but pulled her hand back he sensed no hostility from her. Yet. Kaida made a pained bloody fanged smile as his voice left him in a demonic rumble.

"Oh its you. Next time can you shoot at them and save killing me for last eh."

Kaida chuckled at his own gallow humor when he sensed the minataur demon chargeing from behind. Turning around he threw both of his flameing short swords at the demon. The first blade was caught the second impacted in the abdomen extracting a pained cry from the demon whom continued to charge regaurdless. Kaida crouched down winceing at his leg prepareing to stop the demon's charge

Avillon glared at the slap stick joke. She wanted to kick him while he down, she held back the thought though. Instead she slammed her fist into the ground, causing the earth to quake and the ground to split under the remaining demon.

Quickly she stretched out her hand, using the air around her she was able to generate enough water to send anyone flying from where they stood.

"Aquarious guide this..." Avillon whispered to herself as she sent the gush of water toward the demon.

The demon did not expect it as he fell forward at the ground dropping Kaida's first blade from it's fist. The sword clattered just outside the pit. The water hit the demon square in the chest and hit it hard sending it skyward. Flying back over twenty feet the demon landed on its head with a loud snapping sound it's neck bending at an aquard angle. The larger demon's body went limp and it moved no more the burning blade in it's belly slowly burning the corpse. Kaida stood there looking at the demon then Avi with his mouth slightly ajar.

"How in the......"

Kaida spoke almost a child like quality to his voice in spite of his pain.

"Was damn near dieing three times yesterday an act?!?"
