He didn't see why he needed some classes in his schedule. "Whatever," he said to himself again and started to wander the ground floor corridor. It wasn't long before he ran into Romulus, his girlfriend's brother. "Oh, hey Rom. What's up?"⋘

Romulus looked up in time to see Sam. "Hello Samuel," he said, smiling brightly. When the tall boy asked "what's up" Romy shrugged. "The Hawthorn's are having a baby soon! Isn't that exciting?" His blue eyes sparkled brightly, and his cheeks were a faint red. He looked excited, not letting his "friend" upset him.

Romy nodded at Sam. "Remy's the one who told me... I don't know if she meant to or not though," he said, cocking his head sideway. He scratched at his ear, sighing lightly. He knew Sam was one of Remy's friends, so he figured Sam might be a decent friend for him as well. Only time would tell, of course, and that made his heart sink. "Two years at Hogwarts and you're still less popular than a rock. Good going. And why the hell would Mr Popular himself ever want to be your friend? He probably wants nothing more than to just leave." The voice said, mocking the boy. Romy frowned at seemingly nothing, then peeked back up at Sam.

Romy began to ponder when Sam asked about Remy. "Remy? I guess? Why do you ask?" He interrogated, sounding a bit worried. What happened to his sister?! Romy just got her back! He couldn't stand to think she was hurt! His hands balled up into fists as he stared up at the fourth year, eyes hardening. For some reason, he was filled with rage at the thought of his sister in danger. His normally bright eyes were dark and quite scary.
"What happened? I swear if you hurt my Remy, Meridith, I will end you."

Romy blinked up at Sam. He was dating her?! That was nearly as bad! Who was he to take Remy for himself?! Romy barely got to be with his big sister as it stood! Why the heck was this fair?! He looked Sam straight in the eyes, steel blue eyes meeting the taller boy's pale ones. "You are dating my Remy? Who the heck said you could do that?! She was taken away from me once; I won't ever let it happen again! Ever!" He said, voice raising in intensity as he spoke. It wasn't Sam's fault, of course, Remy was free to love whomever she wanted, but why not him?! Why did no one ever profess their love for him? Was he broken? Marred by the childhood he had? Scorned because of the name he held? He had no idea, but it hurt him. It cut deep and lingered, haunting his thoughts with all the hatred he had felt. It wasn't fair that Remy was loved by nearly everyone, while he had no one willing to speak to him. Tears began to fill his eyes as he stared at Sam, probably making the older boy uncomfortable. It was times like these that made him wish he had never come. Never left his Father. At least there he had a family, albeit a broken one. It seemed at Hogwarts no one cared about the agony in his heart.
It seemed that he, Romulus Bleiddiaid, was unlovable.

Romy could have laughed aloud. Friends?! Hahaha! Hang out together? When had they ever done that?! "Friends?! Yea bloody right! What's my middle name? Favourite colour? Birthday? I bet you can't name a single one." He glared, now completely filled with rage. No one knew a d*mn thing about him! No one cared to learn, either. He sorely doubted even Remy knew the answers he posed, and that made him feel even worse. He could name all three about her, Sam, Heather, and a few other people. He listened. He payed attention. He cared about other people. Others just didn't care about him.

Romy sighed. He couldn't help but feel saddened by Sam's words. When the older boy pointed out his lack of talking, Romy had to agree. He hung his head and mumbled, "My favourite colour is indigo. My birthday is August first, and my middle name is Veryn." He didn't know why all his rage had dissipated, but he was glad it did. He smiled up at Sam, emotions flashing. "And I know all that about you!" His eyes sparkled brightly, tears completely gone.

Romy smiled and nodded at Sam. When the latter asked about Quidditch, Romy grinned. "I just might. I don't want to play Chaser though.... Maybe Beater? Hmm.... I might just play wherever I'm needed. Sound fair?" he asked, blinking. He didn't want to cause any trouble, but Sam said they needed him, so he decided to step up. He liked the fact that he could be part of a group, particularly one so tight-knit as the team. It made him happy to be part of a unit!
