Rolling her shoulder as Eclipse finally announced where it was they were going and what they were to retrieve, Jae looked slightly unconcerned about the gravity of the item they were to collect. She didn't know what a 'Kyuubi' was. Nor what it's fang was and why this was so important that it took priority over finding their missing citizens. "Doesn't matter. Let's just get this fang and get the hell outta here." She was not going to over think this. Noctis didn't give them any information, fine. She didn't care to know. Jae was sick and tired of the way the village worked, politically and internally. She wasn't a tool. Following after Eclipse, Jae kept up easily, her anxiousness to get this over with made it easy for her to move.

Ｅclipse was a bit taken back, they didn't know what the Kyuubi was? Surely they still told the folklore at the academy to all of its students. Wonderful. Now she was on a mission with two kids that never learned how to listen to the beginning. Then again maybe the sensei's were getting lazy. Shame on them. This brought troubling thoughts to Eclipse. These two needed to take the mission seriously in all it gravity. How could they if they didn't have a clue about what it was they were getting. Looking back to Steel she guestered him to get up. They would be leaving now. Looking to Samuru she spoke. "It is the fang of the Kyuubi. A large fox demon of sorts. The item is of great importance to Konohagakure's history and the wrong people have their hands on it. We will be fighting in combat if needed. Don't kill anyone, if you can retrain them or knock them out. Regardless they are still members of Konoha just like us. Just . . . mislead." With those words Eclipse turned. Leading them to their destination.

They'd practically returned to the starting point but at least they were away from the village and the bunker. If Eclipse managed, she'd be coming back this way anyways. If not...well, then Samuru would go back to retrieve her body and take it to Konoha. Settling down, he set Jae on the ground, making sure her back was leaned carefully against a tree "Do we need to go straight to the village?" he asked, worried about her pain tolerance.

The coloration of her cheeks was still a rosy color. His easy declaration of his love for her made her feel slightly guilty. She loved him too but was unable to say it as easily as he did. She wanted to tell him or show him she cared for him as much as he cared about her. She was better using actions versus words. The pain of being set down and propped up against the tree cut short her rampant thoughts and paled her face out once again. "No I don't think so. We should wait for Eclipse..." Jae mused aloud. If the Jounin made it out of there in one piece.

Jae tried to move then, flinching when the sharp pain dug in her side. She needed to heal herself so she could at least get up or else Samuru was going to continue having to take care of her. Slowly she brought her thumb to her mouth and bit the skin, drawing blood. Placing it on the ground the intricate patterns that appeared when summoning began to glow on the ground. A loud 'poof' was heard and Anukha appeared. She hovered above both of them, looking down. Slowly she descended, landing on the ground a small distance away from Jae. She folded her wings in and shuffled on the ground awkwardly. Birds were not meant to be on the ground but the summons understood the situation. "Heeey Anukha. Sorry to call you out like this but...I kinda messed up a bit. The bird coaxed it's head to the side, peering at her. It swiveled it's head to look to Samuru before flinching and tensing when a branch somewhere further out in the forest snapped. Relaxing, the bird returned her attention to the two. "Again? Why didn't you call Karu?" Jae sighed, the effort uncomfortable. Even Anukha was pointing her faults out. Jae didn't want to get any of them involved. If she could fidget she would have.

Nodding, Samuru sat down beside Jae as she summoned Anukha. Seeing the bird look at him, he gave it a nod before the bird turned its attention back to Jae and he turned his attention to everything around them. It was rather calm here despite the strange shapes and weird sounds "Jae....what did Raki say to you at the gates?" he looked back at her, hoping she would be healed enough to answer.

Anukha didn't waste any time though. She flapped her wings and hovered above where Jae sat. The blow chakra began to cause parts of Jae's skin to glow in accordance with Anukha's chakra color and healing power. The cuts in her arms, minor and major were healed completely and those more severe were sped along the healing process. Anukha's power was not as strong as a medic but it would be enough for her to get by. Her wounded ribs hurt terribly at first. Jae clenching her eyes shut and biting down on her lip again. Not making a single noise she took advantage of the moment that Samuru was not watching her. The pain began to abide slowly as Anukha channeled her healing properties into her. After a few seconds the bird stopped, landing to the side of her and coaxing her head to the side the same way Karu did. Must be a clan thing. "I cannot heal a broken bone fully. If you are hit again it will not only break easily but it could be shattered and that would be worse than the original break." Jae smiled at Anukha, sitting in a more relaxed position. She tucked her legs in, sitting cross legged. It was so incredibly stiff and it was sore but doable. The bird nodded once and then left, in a cloud of smoke, back to the sage lands. Looking up at Samuru she sighed. "Uhhhh.." She wasn't sure what to tell him. It was a constant mind game between the two of them she wasn't sure it would make sense nor did she want to say something that might anger Samuru. "He was basically goading me. He's trying to convince me to think more like him..." Rakuin was a very....interesting person. Kept her on her toes.

As Anukha healed Jae, Samuru sat with his hands folded in his lap. It didn't take long but he was pleased to see much of her wounds were healed after the healing "Thank you, Anukha." he told the bird before she vanished and he turned his attention back to Jae. His eyes narrowed slightly "No one can think like Raki...he's unique." he said softly, a slight smile rising on his face. Raki was unique in so many weird, weird ways "Goading you..." he sighed at that thought and leaned forward, his chin going in his hands. Samuru's brilliant blue eyes were perfect for just...staring. And stare he did, right at Jae without saying a word for several minutes "...and?" he said finally, his head rising as he spoke without blinking, his gaze like that of a sleepy cat.

That smile. It warmed her soul and Jae couldn't help but smirk in response. Unique...more like borderline psychotic. Rakuin had threatened her and made his stance very clear. He was a boy who didn't like his pawns messed with. Jae was sure that Rakuin loved Samuru but his plans...just how far was he willing to push Samuru into that chaos and mayhem. As he continued to stare at her, his chin in his hands, she met his gaze with her own. Her specs were lighter than his deeper blue. Taking in his features she suddenly felt a swelling in the pit of her stomach that moved to her chest. She was happy that Samuru was hers. That he loved her enough to trust her with his past and future endeavors. A small pang of guilt struck her, the small smile she had faltering slightly. She had yet to tell him about Yukigakure's final moments and her fathers. "...and?" He further inquired, his voice smooth. Reaching out she swept his bands off to the side, running her hands through it all the way to his ear and back of his head just to get a feel of it's softness. "That's was purdy much the gist of it. He likes to mess with me but it goes both ways so I don't hold it against him." To an extent. His death threat prior, when she had met him in the field was an entirely different conversation between the two of them. Her eyes widened a bit, recalling the Ketsueki dig. Now she scowled, narrowing her eyes a bit and sticking her tongue out as if he was standing there presently with the two of them. "You mean the Ketsueki thing?" Her voice sounded slightly pinched, Jae not too excited to talk about her clan. Saiketsu were twisted and warped in their mentality. Jae was happy to have been branded an outsider when her mother had been banished.

His eyes closed as Jae ran her fingers through his hair, the feeling rising through his chest and into his cheeks. Samuru's cheeks blushed red as Jae responded "Mess with you...?" he asked, not really paying attention anymore. When she mentioned her last name, he blinked his eyes open and tilted his head, taking her wrist "No...what does your last name have to do with Raki?" he asked, holding her hand lightly as he traced one finger, going around the joints with his index.

Too cute! He was blushing. The coloration on his cheeks was rosy, Jae giggling somewhat. She coughed and then tried clearing her throat to mask such a giggle. As he took her wrist and began to fidget with her finger and joints, Jae too began to blush. Her heart beat accelerated slightly. At his further inquiry she let out a small sigh. "His comment...what are you looking for Samuru?" Jae put her hand over his, stilling his movements. What was he looking for? The exchange at the gates had been...minimal. Had there been something she hadn't caught in the conversation with Rakuin. Something that Samuru wanted to confirm for himself? It didn't take a death threat to know that Rakuin did not like her.

Twisting his wrist, Samuru turned his palm upward so it was smooth between both of hers, holding the hand that had stilled his movements. What was he looking for?...His eyes closed, his other hand coming up over the one on top of his. Opening his eyes again, he looked at their hands together, his focus distorted "I don't know." he replied and lifted his gaze to hers "I guess... I'm looking for you." it wasn't the most intelligent answer but it fit what he was feeling. Since he'd seen her talking to Raki, Samuru had wondered what had gone on between the two of them. Not in a jealous way, not at all. But just...he knew how Raki could be. Fanatical, determined, intelligent, manipulative, brilliant and cruel. There was more to Raki then all this, at least Samuru hoped there still was. But it was all of that that made him worry about what he could or would do to Jae...he didn't know what Raki's plans were. He'd never interacted with anyone before so seeing him speak willingly to Jae...Samuru's hand trembled just slightly in Jae's, fingers shaking softly "I don't know what I'm looking for. Maybe I'm looking for something that's not there." he sighed and slipped his hands out of her's, letting them drop in his lap. His shoulder ached and it registered in the back of his mind, his fingers going to rub the crook of his elbow rather then his shoulder.

Coaxing her head to one side she simply observed him for a second or two. Looking for her? That made absolutely no sense whatsoever. She gripped his hand tightly for a fraction of a second before he covered her hand with his own. "You don't have to look for me. I'm right here." Samuru had mentioned on occasion that he didn't want her where she was not within reach. Jae was not the type to stay in one spot for more than a few seconds and was sure she had caused him plenty of anxiety. She felt guilty once more and she hated feeling this way. As he slipped his hands from hers, she shifted her position from how she was seated and kneeled a bit before throwing her momentum forward and 'glomping' Samuru. He had been gripping his elbow so she tried her best no to over do anything. She pushed him onto his back, hands on either side of his head. She kept her knees off to one side of him, preferring not to straddle him. She was bold but not that bold. Her hair fell down in soft waves, Jae lifting one hand to push it all to one side before trapping him again on either side of his head.

As she looked down at him her expression spelled out her smugness. "Stop worrying or thinking too much about things." Jae scolded him, her demeanor shifting into something slightly more serious. "I wont lie to you and tell you that I will be perfectly fine. I am sure somewhere along the line something will happen but it's not going to be something I can't handle...In your brothers case...so long as I stay on my toes I can play his game without slipping up too badly." Jae looked up, looking off into the forest. She was thoughtful for a second. Without realizing it she was already playing Rakuin's game. Samuru was wound tightly to this grand vendetta of his and automatically Jae was now attached to such plans. Rakuin wouldn't do anything just yet. If Jae got in his way...she would need to be cut and that was when Rakuin would strike. Still. She wasn't going to make it easy for him. He was smart...but so was she. Already Rakuin underestimated her. That suited her purpose just fine. She just had to play the fool until the moment it no longer suited her purpose. Looking back down to Samuru she snickered. "You are going to start looking like an old man if you keep worrying about pointless things." Now she was goading him.

"I don't me-ulk!" Samuru nearly bit his tongue when Jae suddenly rocked forward, knocking him onto his back. His head thunked into the ground and he scowled at her as she knelt over him, his shoulder throbbing once. Listening to her speak, Samuru wondered if Jae was underestimating his brother. Yes, they were both very intelligent and Samuru often had trouble even keeping up with what was going through their heads. But....reaching up, he slipped his fingers past her ear and dislodged her hair, tangling his fingers in it while keeping it out of her face "If you slip up, he'll eat you." he said, his tone amused but his words serious. If Jae took one step wrong or even began to come over to Raki's thinking in the smallest way, his brother would consume her. It was how he worked and Samuru was terrified of Jae becoming as twisted and warped as they were. His siblings and himself....they weren't right. Something in them was broken that they could consider murder and genocide over ramen and sushi. He didn't want Jae to become like that..."I have an old man's soul." he said, faking embarrassment by turning his head to the side as if to hide his face. Dropping his hand from her hair to her spine, he used his free arm to push himself up, kissing her "I want to be an old man with you...no matter what happens." he whispered softly before leaning back so he could look at Jae. Samuru may have worried and fretted, might have been possessive and even a little paranoid. He'd have to work on all of that but...it all came from his love for Jae. And while he felt bad sometimes for constantly fretting, he knew she worried about him too at times.

Scrunching her nose she made a face down at him at his eloquent way of putting what could happen in perspective should she fall into Rakuin's traps. Shrugging a shoulder, she dipped a tad bit and righted herself. Then she just had to make sure she didn't slip up. She basked in the moment, Samuru having just dislodging her hair. Too much hair... She thought to herself. If she cut it though then she wouldn't get many moments like these again. "Old man's soul huh..." She flinched slightly as his hand came up to her spine. It was such an intimate action she froze. His lips met hers as she defrosted, Jae closing her eyes slightly and kissing him back lightly. As he whispered to her and moved back to watch her she blinked a few times before laughing nervously. A light blush colored her cheeks, Jae clearing her throat once in order to return from cloud nine. She had taken what he said the wrong way initially. As if he meant he wanted both of them the be old together. "Well you have an old man's soul and you are with me soooo you've reached your goal." Jae sat back on her shins and reached out running her hands through his hair. Slowly at first then she ruffled the top portion.

Samuru let out a little huff of amusement through his nose and moved his hand away. Dropping back to the ground, he just looked at the sky "I guess you're right." he said, his voice a little empty as he didn't meet her eyes. It seemed like his meaning hadn't reached her....but that was ok. Right? Closing his eyes, Samuru took in a deep breath and then turned his head to the left "What should my new goal be then...?"
