"I certainly can't let a fine young lady like you buy me a drink! Unthinkable! It's a man's duty to do such a thing, especially when the lady is so very lovely." He waives down a waitress as he escorts Yllanah over to an empty table. "I was planning on heading back to my room, as the night's entertainment wasn't really... entertaining, to be honest. I do so love your ears, by the way - I don't see half-elves very often around here, and there's just something magnificent about the ears... Anyway," he begins as the waitress arrives at the table, "what would you like to drink? I'll take a simple Kandyan ale, please. And whatever the lady would like."

The waitress takes Yllanah's order and leaves for the bar.

"As for future entertainment... As I said, I have a room at the inn. I'm sure that we could find something to do there. I may be a little older than you, but I'm more than capable, if you'd have me."

Yllanah was slightly flattered. For an old man, he knew how to flirt. However, it was apparent that he was just looking to make the beast with two backs, so to speak. After she ordered her half-glass of local wine, he invited her to a night of 'entertainment' at his room at the inn.

As gentlemanly as this man was, she wasn't planning on spending the night making love with some old gent at the bar. However, to get what she wanted, she kept up the facade of being interested.

"More than capable you say?" She said with subtle wink, "I'm sure you are, but how should I know? Is there any way you could prove it me?"

She allowed the man to think a moment, then said, "Perhaps a stop by the ruins? I'm sure a brave, strong man such as yourself wouldn't fear a place. Then, if you prove yourself to me.... while we're there... we could... you know... under the stars..."

Reed recognizes the shifter from the ship immediately, though he isn't good enough with names to remember what his is. But you don't let your shipmates go down without assistance, particularly when the opponent is clearly something that unpleasant. He shifts to the side as he comes into view of the fight, chanting and flipping his fingers to send two motes of red light shooting at the monster.

{Reed moves to make sure he gains the concealment from Child of Shadow, and then fires off a magic missile. He maintains the maximum possible distance between himself and fight, particularly since he doesn't have his stupid mage armor up. (Opinion is his...he hates that it only lasts a few hours!)}

Marionne moved to intercept the monster, her longsword aimed at the creature's undead flesh. She channeled her draconic training to ensure that she and Buck would be more dangerous against it as well.

{Shifting into the Power Aura, granting allies a +2 damage bonus with melee attacks, and using Revitalizing Strike with the hope that she'll heal up Buck. Longsword strike at +10. Gonna go ahead and roll in case I confirm a crit.}

{And now for the d6s. The first one will be the cold damage of my crystal, and then the other three are the healing.

Well, at least the attack roll was pretty good... Damage isn't too great, though.
Damage = 8 damage, including 1 point of cold damage.
Healing = 13 hp to Buck, thanks to the stance and the strike.}

He seemed flustered. "I'm afraid, my dear, that the ruins are considered off limits to the people of this land. They've been warded for centuries, and are a holy site. Wandering around there... it isn't something that one just does." He clearly seemed put out by something, but whether it was tradition or trepidation, it was hard to say.

Yllanah's smile faded slightly, I thought someone like him might have more adventure left inside than that. However, if that is the law of land, I shall follow it. I wouldn't want to make any enemies just after touching ground. Yllanah sighed, and rested her chin in her hand, then said, "I didn't mean any offence. I'm new to the area; like I've told you." Her light yellow eyebrows perked up,and she sat up, "You know what? I never asked for your name. You may call me Yllanah."

"Adellen. And you haven't offended me in the slightest. I'd love to take you out on some grand adventure, but the ruins being what they are... I don't know if anyone even could set foot in there, even if they were inclined. I mean, the Consortium soldiers who were here recently went up there to scout, despite the protests of the townsfolk, but they weren't able to enter at all."

Arriving at Gaz's place of residence, Sheziera would get right to the fun. But not before generally scoping the place out. She was planning on riding him until he passed out, seeing as how she's immune to fatigue, and then cleaning him out of whatever valuables and coin she could grab before she headed back to the White Falcon and got her feet off this wretched rock.

{She's got a +3 on Move Silent to scrounge around and steal some stuff, and then she'll just Shadow Jaunt outside, so that she doesn't have to worry about dealing with a squeaky door and what-not.}

Fara looks at Kristenna with a face awash in relief, and you're almost sure her eyes are a little bit wet with tears. She hugs Kristenna and smiles. "The roast pork is pretty good tonight! It's my recipe. I could get you some!"

Kristenna enjoys an excellent meal of roast pork and mashed sweet potatoes. While she does, she discreetly pumps both Fara and the bartender for what the Consortium might be up to in town.
