Character's Current Natural Ability/Abilities: Dark Disguise - Imryn is able to alter her form changing to that of a shadowy figure, making it easier for her to lurk in darkened corners.

Fear Ability Request: Shadow Coils - Digging her claws into the ground, Imryn will cause it to tremble a bit as it cracks and spreads out in the direction of her opponent. Out of the ground will creep tendrils of darkness that cause shadow damage.

Character's Current Natural Ability/Abilities: Death Grip: When a zombie wants to hold onto something, they really hold onto something. Due to their reanimated nature, zombies posses a degree of physical strength that doesn't necessarily match their body or build.

With his FEAR ability, Xander can harness his terrible zombie smell, intensify it to disgusting new levels of stench, and unleash it in a spiraling sickly green scent-bomb of doom towards an opponent. If successful, the grotesque and gag-inducing scent would leave his opponent stunned until it wears off.

exclaim FEAR SYSTEM UPDATE! exclaim

From this point on, you will NOT need approval before being able to use your Fears in RP! We feel that you guys know what you're doing, and what is acceptable/not acceptable in the TiH setting. Therefore, in order to use their character's Fear attacks a player must simply select their Fear and post it here for record-keeping purposes.

Please keep in mind that if we see a Fear that does not fit the setting, we WILL request that you change it.

In addition, please remember that you may only change your character's Fear attack ONCE. If you still wish to change it, then you must come talk to me (Marushii) for approval. This is to prevent battle abuse, so make sure you're happy with your character's Fear before you pick it!

Otherwise all posts above this post have been grandfathered in to the new rule; all of you are good to post your Fears.

Please read over the Fear guide, too! I've added and updated some things. <3

Character Name: Danny Fitz
Character Race: Demon
Character Subspecie: Flame Demon
Character's Current Fear Ability/Abilities:
Y2 Fear

Year 2: Limbs on fiyahhh. Danny can channel her fear into both her hands and feet and basically light them on fire. It should be said that she can't push the flame off of her hands. It basically feels like a normal fist would, but heated (y'know. By flames). One limb at a time as well- not all four at once.

Y1 Fear

Year 1: Her y1 FEAR is essentially heated fists, so now those heated fists are going to cause some burns! Her y1 FEAR will upgrade to y2 mechanics, and her new FEAR addition will be fists that cause less physical damage, and more burn-esque damage.
- Mechanic: Tainted Fang

Proposed New Fear Ability:
FEAR Change
Danny throws tiny "darts" of flames from her hands. Sometimes she can shoot from both hands, but its harder for her. It's reckless, and often misses, but hey; what's else is she good for except being reckless.

Proposed New Fear Category Type: Swift Strike
Reason: Well one, I haven't used her y1 in battle at all yet. More importantly though, I think her y1 ability is way too close to her y2 ability? Like her y2 ability is to set her hands on fire and go punch things. Her y1 ability is to ... light her hands up and go punch things. Its rather... mundane? It doesn't really show her progress to becoming stronger, and it doesn't really reflect how/who she is as a character. I don't know if this counts as a good enough reason, but yeah o Ao;;

I think this would work a lot better with Danny's reckless personality and better show her progress towards a y2 student.

Character's Current Fear Ability/Abilities:

Venomous Sting: When charged the sharp protrusions at the top and bottom of the hourglass elongate and become a bit sharper as well with small needle point sized openings at the tips. Jude can grasp the middle of the hourglass to add strength to his stab and when a stab connects the tips release small poisonous sand-like grains into the wound. It is uncertain if the grains of 'sand' ever run out. The affects of the poison - at the start - would be: dizziness, and slight slow down of movement. The poison at the start will only take a few moments (usually somewhere around 2 - 3 minutes) to run its course.

Proposed New Fear Ability:

Unrelenting Bite: He is empowered by Yom's Fear to gain speed striking speed to allow him to make sharp quick and short strikes at his target's anatomy. If it hits he makes several devastating blows if he misses he often finds himself running past his target completely or striking at air and etc.

Proposed New Fear Category Type: Swift Strikes
Reason: To fit the swift strikes archetype and also because at the time I came up with this fear the Battle System was not yet in place and then when it was in place I had selected (and then proceeded to stick with) swift strike as an attack instead of switching to the venom based category because it still doesn't seem to suit well enough for my needs.

Fear Selection
Character Name: Merope
Character Race: Undead
Character Subspecie: Lost Fathoms Leviathan
Character's Current Natural Ability/Abilities:

Adaptability: The Lost Fathoms Leviathans have the unique undead ability to be adaptive. When they focus their FEAR and add in salt water, they can "fuse" new body parts to themselves. Similar to how a FEAR-healer or Mad Scientist can sew and stitch new limbs and skin onto an undead, the Lost Fathoms Leviathans can perform this themselves without needing to add stitches. However, their natural Fear changes the markings and pattern on any limb they find to match their form. This gives this race the ability to repair themselves quite easily should another of their kind take a fancy to their new limb and take it for themselves...

Get Equipped: Merope can store several additional "parts" in an extra stomach. He can "shift" into these parts on the fly without the need of saltwater. The parts need to be small enough to fit in his second stomach, however. Ultimately, he can carry about four different parts at any one time currently.

Fear Ability Request:
Y1 Dice - Crashing Wave Fist: Merope can channel his Fear into his fist to create a wave which he uses to punch things. It comes with an OOC sense of deja vu...

Y2 Dice - Bellyflop: For a brief amount of time, Merope literally turns into water. His humanoid (or draconic form, depending on where he is at the time) form still has the same shape, except it's made out of water. During this time, he runs and flings himself upon his opponent, performing a disastrous belly flop without the need of a pool.

Character's Current Fear Ability/Abilities: A freezing move from before the system.
Proposed New Fear Ability:

Dead Hands: My character throws one of his bones to the ground, usually a rib or a claw, producing a temporary skeletal minion to fight for him. A minion only lasts for the 1 round it attacks before it falls to pieces and disappears. If it can't get a hit in, too bad for Aymet.

Proposed New Fear Category Type: Battle Cry
Reason: Why do you want to change your natural ability?
I didn't use his y1 in battle yet. Aymet is from over a year ago, before this system, and before my current plans for his character. I'd like to play up his lich side more.

By focusing her FEAR into one of the many bells she wears about her, LW is able to charge one of her bells with her own FEAR as a way to heal in battle. The bell acts similar to a storage unit, 'storing' the FEAR she was able to infuse it with, until a time comes when it's needed. She is only able to successfully charge, at max, two bells this way. When fully charged, the bell will glow a faint blue color. These can be used on both herself and allies. When healing an ally, two bells are used. One remains with her and the other is given to whomever she is healing. This allows for a connection via the two bells and gives LW the ability to heal another. When healing herself, she only has to use one bell.

Y2: {Silence of the Bells} - The Mind
LW performs an eerie dance that is discerning to watch. It both unsettles you and draws you in at the same time. The only sound you hear is a very soft chiming of bells that seem to get quieter the more in tune you become to them. Her FEAR unsettles the mind, drawing it into that paranoia of dead silence where you listen with all your might to try and hear anything other than the roar of your pounding heart. The drawback to LW's FEAR is that if she is tripped or stopped from dancing, then whomever she has currently enthralled will snap out of it and the silence will be broken. The "spell" can also be disrupted should you cut off the bells attached upon her.

Proposed New Fear Category Type: The Chill
Reason: AMG, I'm already confusing myself with these forms. I would like to give LW a Year One Fear in addition to her Year Two. However I have used her current Fear (Silence of the Bells) like once. And it just doesn't fit with how she seems to fight. So if possible, and the new requested Fear above is alright, I would like to make her Y2 Fear be Silver Bells and her Y1 Fear be Silence of the Bells, please! <33
