The Trans-Dimensional Colosseum (Sleeping)

"GRAAH!" Zellik tried to fall back from the sudden appearance of Sahara, shock and outrage playing across his face from the sight of the Angel and the veil of shadow that had passed over his one eye, but the door frame digging painfully into his back prevented him from doing so. He easily held the fear of complete blindness that had come to the forefront of his mind at bay. No sign of weakness would be allowed to be shown from him. Zellik raised a fist to strike Sahara down before realizing that he didn't know if the Angels' famed ability of teleportation existed if they themselves were touched or if was only they who did the touching. With a growl, he sidestepped back into the room.

"You don't know the half of it..." Lyall replied to Alothus. "Alerting the crowd would only excite them more with the knowledge that the nigh impregnable Colosseum could be infiltrated, Lady Evangeline. It is better to keep quiet. You do not have to wait for the fights, I'll be the only one left behind as it is."

Outside of the room, the drow and the man stood facing each other in the center of the arena 20 feet apart. Drezzer absently flipped a small chunk of ice from hand to hand as he watched Skollozeir reach hesitantly towards a jacket pocket and sigh. "Do you think Lord Desi knows that we left the stronghold?" "Oh, I'm sure he already knows, that's why we were able to leave in the first place. Otherwise we would've been tracked down already, right?" The drow's lighter skinned companion gave him a blank look before a knowing smile spread across his face. "Oh, you're right, right as rain, Drezzie!" Skollozeir chuckled and it didn't take long for that to escalate into crazed laughter. "He must've known that we'd get bored, stiff, stale while he went on with his work!" "Exactly." Drezzer flipped the ice chunk up again with a grin. He noticed his friend already had two blades, one a twisting dagger and another a serrated knife, in his hands. "Which is why we need to get on with this before Lord Desdion gets impatient." With that, the two combatants stepped forward and started their fight, ice and chuckling filling the arena.

Sahara let out a light chuckle, delighted at Zellik's reaction. "Oh Lyall, don't sound so down, Alpha knows as well as I do how you want to join our little hunt... and would be happy to allow you to join once the fights are over, you have what? One or two left or something? You know better than I. Oh, and Zellik? You're very lucky you didn't hit me, and that i'm in a good mood today." She gave another amused chuckle.

Rivera couldn't help but giggle at Zellik. "Oh Sahara I do hope we move out soon, Riven is getting bored and wan't to bite whatever decided to spook him like it did."

"The wait is almost over Warriors. Alpha and several of our brethren are summoning your guide now, and will be here to retrieve you soon, and if it is possible, Lyall you will be able to join us. If not we will have someone able to wait for you and you may do your own search from there." With that she dissolved into purple smoke and was gone.

"Again, strange." Alothus muttered once again."You seemed to know those two, did you not, Lyall?"

Evangiline huffed and crossed her arms, upset that her idea wouldn't work. Couldn't the angels just make them go poof? "I know but the fights are so exciting to watch sometimes. I don't want to miss a good match." She watched the Sahara leave them in her dramatic smoke and giggled. She was so pumped about going. She got down on the floor beside Riven and began petting him all over to calm him down from his earlier encounters.

"Finally." Zellik humphed but made no move whatsoever to leave the room again. He hated to be belittled in front of the weaker ones and he especially hated it when an Angel was the one responsible. If only he could wipe their smug faces clean, literally rather than figuratively.

"I do know them, very well in fact," Lyall crossed his arms over his wide chest, his eyes never seeming to leave the two darting around each other, one laughing hysterically at times in bursts and the other with an entertained grin. "That is one reason why I'm so keen on staying here while they fight. Anything could happen with those two..."

Nick was sitting where he had been sitting since he had gotten to this hell hole, in a discrete corner where, so far, no one had really noticed him in the preparation room. His spot was right between the wall and a tall metal support beam. He had been watching the people going in and out, some going to die, others returning. He wondered if he'd ever be spotted.

Once Evangeline sat down Riven rolled over on his back so she could rub his belly. Rivera gave a light laugh was sat down as well, she gave Milla's arm a 'join-us-?' tug. Rivera sat criss-cross. ""Oh Zellik, don't start jumping for joy to soon. Alpha will more than less likely want this... creature... alive for proper disposal, Which may actually be one of us killing it. probably you, though. So yeah, keep jumping."

"Oh.." Alothus said. "Sounds... interesting... and worry some.."

"Who's the new comer?" Rivera suddenly asked. Riven looked at Nick, then continued to wallow all over Evangeline as she continued to rub all over him. Rivera put a hand to her head where her bandages are and kept it there for a second. Then took it away, she still got major headaches due to the old wound.

Milla hesitated at first, then accepted Rivera's invitation. She made sure that her chakrams didn't touch any stray body parts near her before she knelt down to settle comfortably on her heels, knees and legs flat on the floor. When Rivera mentioned there was another new face, someone else that they'd all previously not noticed, she glanced over at him through her hair.

"I am not jumping, I do not jump when I am happy." Zellik snarled in response. "But I do kill."

"Yes." Lyall strode forth from Alothus's side and placed one hand on the doorknob. "Excuse me for a moment."

Nick had finally been seen, though he had been ignored by most, one of them, a girl by the looks of it, was looking at him. He looked up a bit so that his eyes could clearly be seen, looking back. He wondered what she was thinking as she looked at him. It was probably just curiousity so Nick lowered his head again but continued to look using his periferal vision.

"Zellik, have you forgotten that I have bandages on? So if I want to say your jumping I don't have to see it, I would have said it one way or another."Rivera said folding her arms. Riven have a wolfish smile. "Besides, you'll get your little 'I kill when I'm happy' bit soon enough, and i'm sure if you ask nicely enough Alpha will let you deal with the problem." Now it was Rivera's turn to give a wolfish smile.

Alothus gave Lyall a nod. "I'll be here when you return." Alothus did not want to go on this 'hunt', he would much rather go fight again, even though he knew that wouldn't happen either.

"You would have heard it, you are not deaf, only blind." Zellik replied, then began to pace in the room's relatively cramped quarters. His impatience was beginning to rise again despite the brief lapse. "If this was such an emergency, what the hell is taking those damned statues?!"

Milla realized after a few moments, after the other potential fighter's head raised up, that staring was rude. She looked nervously away and wrung her hands together in her lap.

Lyall swung the door open, careful not to let it slam against the wall. Then he stalked towards the two still dueling, not paying attention to anything else. He waited until Drezzer had turned his back to him before snatching a few chunks of ice from the ground, and chucking one at his back. The drow heard it coming and sidestepped with a laugh. Then he exclaimed in pain as the second smote him on the shoulder. As he held the numbed area, Lyall stalked past him and grabbed the back of Skollozeir's shirt, the man having darted to the arena wall and trying to climb it with a wicked look in his eye. He tossed him to the ground and glared down at him as he exhaled. "Fight's over. Leave." "Oh come on, we were just starting to have fun." The drow whined. "Tee hee, down boy, down boy! Tee hee hee!" Skollozeir giggled as Lyall lifted him up again, this time by the front of his shirt. "I said, time to go home." The human's eyes flashed a multitude of dark colors, each of which made the hair on the back of Lyall's neck rise and his jaw clench painfully, before the human stuck his tongue out rudely. "Fiiiiine." He wiggled out his grasp and dropped to his feet. Lyall followed after the sullen looking pair to make sure they left. "Tell the Angels to escort you out and that I said so." He said as the three re-entered the warrior's room. Lyall sighed and ran a hand through his hair as soon as they left that room. "Now that that's taken care of...Nick Ashford is next up against Allen Taren."

Nick looked up to acknowledge his name being called. He stood up smoothly and walked to Lyall, glancing towards Milla as he went. "I'm Nick. Ready when you are."

Evangeline had been so entranced by Riven's excited acts and leg kicking as she rubbed him and tickled him, barely any of what Zellik and Rivera spoke went in one ear and didn't go out the other, and part of that was when they mentioned the new guy. She glanced up from where she was, wondering why he would stay so quiet. Everyone else seemed mainly chatty and sociable somewhat at the least. She patted Riven before standing back up and settling beside Alothus, becoming extremely bored with the chit chat. If she wasn't cooking or killing, she realized she wasn't very satisfied.

Rivera looked at Zellik as he walked, easily following his loud foot steps. She made a whip like thing from his shadow and smacked his butt with it. "Yes, very good hearing..." Riven snickered.

"Hello miss Evangeline." Alothus said, nuzzling her arm. "Is everything alright?"

"What is taking us, Champion." Alpha made the title sound like a curse. "Is your chaperon doesn't like you." Alpha's right hand was cracked and chipped. Rivera smoothly rose to her feet and walked to the statue, cupping his hand. After several seconds she moved away and his hand was completely fixed. Alpha sighed. "Thank you, Rivera..." He sounded like he men't it. "Now, is all of you able will go to the mess hall, a group of Angles will be waiting to put you into groups. Good hunting." He vanished.

Lyall nodded his head towards the door behind him. "I trust you remember the rule but I will state them again anyway: Killing is not necessary to win this round. But that does not mean you do not have to." As he spoke, Nick's opponent made for the door and exited.

Zellik snarled as he turned and grabbed Rivera by the front of her cloak, and pulled her close so that their faces were only a a few inches apart. That little hit he knew came from her, one of the few warriors that were bold enough to try his patience so often. He couldn't do anything about the belittlement he was given from Alpha and the rest of the rocks but with others he could. "Return to the infirmary, Black," He growled and although she couldn't see it his one eye twitched. "Or I will take you there but with an injury of my own making."

Nick nodded as he walked out to the arena just after his opponent. After a short bit of walking Nick stopped and Allen did as well. "So, you ready for this kid?" Allen was an older man, late twenties, early thirties, and was taller than Nick. "Depends, when do you want to go to the infirmary?" Allen sneered at Nick as his hands caught on fire, a deep blue fire. "We'll see who's going to the infirmary." Allen threw up his right hand, a ball of blue flame appearing there, and throwing it the air behind it seemed to frost over. Nick lifted up his right hand, a sword suddenly appearing there with a slight flash, and as the large ball of fire approached Nick swung down, cleaving the ball in two to go careening towards the wall. When the two pieces hit they exploded, creating large sharp cones of ice. Allen scowled at the result of his fire and instead drew the small dagger at his side, covering it with his blue fire. He charged at Nick with his dagger and lunged towards him, Nick ducking out of the way and swinging his sword. Allen used one hand to blast fire at the floor, creating a cone of ice propelling him up and over the sword that cut straight through the ice causing Allen to fall behind Nick and roll out of his reach. "You're good, kid. But you lack any actual power. You can be good with that sword all you want but eventually you'll make a mistake." He said as he stood up. "I'll show you true power." Allen's entire body burst into flame, making the ground around him freeze and harden. "Better be ready. The air around me is now minus 35 degrees." Allen got into a charging stance, ready to move in and freeze Nick to death but Nick appeared to be chuckling. "What's so funny?" Allen sneered. "Oh, it's nothing. I just thought that you were warming up. If you're being serious then maybe it's time I got a bit more serious as well." Nick lifted his left hand and another sword appeared and then another hovering above him, and then even another hovering. "Here I come." Nick hopped up on one of the swords and rode it like a surf board over towards Allen, the other blade flying beside him.
