Dust and Echoes

"God, Gareth! Is that all you ever think about?" Briar asked with a laugh. She didn't know why she enjoyed his humor, but she did, and one can't question happiness in a world like hers.

Gareth shook his head. "It's not so much the action of sex itself, but the math behind it. X equals the number of men one woman can handle. The equation is X = number of openings + Number of hands. Now, in a bare situation, which is no other factors involved, X would be equal to 5. In a realistic simulation, though, that wouldn't work because in real life we'd have to factor in hip bucking, Placement of males, and teeth. You could also factor in things such as chairs and tables to the equation to cross-cancel other factors. Eventually, If you were to add a table into the equation, X would equal four, and without a table, X =3.

"So what would 'x' be in a perfect situation? Five? Or would there be a way to do more?" she asked, not knowing why she was suddenly so curious.

"Under standard equations or abnormal equations? Regular would be five, because the female in question would be human. Irregularities usually involve alien species being the female, in which case X could equal anything."  

[Fenrir Shade]

Fenrir was loosing his appetite fast. Then suddenly Flip-Yap spoke up, "Grunts can handle ten on a normal basis."

Fenrir almost lost his lunch in his helmet, "Aw what the hell?! You see what you guys do?! You're a bad influence!"

Gareth started laughing hysterically. "Wait, then that would mean..." He suddenly became very serious, counting on his fingers and mumbling to himself. "The maximum is.... I'm guessing around... Fifteen or so?"  

[Fenrir Shade]

"Oh no, maximum twenty. She can effectively double output. And that is not accounting for a table." replies the Grunt.

Gareth clasped his hands together, smiling like a child would at being handed the biggest, sugariest tooth-rotting thing on the planet. "Ooooh! It's no wonder there are so many of you little guys running around!"  

[Fenrir Shade]

"Exactly!" shouts the Grunt, laughing.

Fenrir stood, "Alright, screw it. I'm going to go eat in the outpost." and he left to enjoy his food in peace.  

[Fadedepic]

Gareth shook his head. "Oh, Fenrir, don't be such a hard-a**! Lighten up!" He turned back to Flip-Yap. "So, judging from those statistics, male Unggoy outweigh the females in numbers, correct?" Gareth laid back. "So that would mean that in order to repopulate with such profusion, the women would have to be farmed in some way for offspring. And blatant homosexuality would be common amongst males...." He shuddered at the thought.  

[Fenrir Shade]

"Actually, Unggoy women out populate men substantially. Men have a measly two billion documented population, while women have three billion. And that number is constantly growing." replies Flip-Yap, "And homosexuality is simply unheard of amongst our race."

"Whatever. I'm still eating away from you guys." shouts Fenrir, entering and losing the door of the outpost. He sits down on the floor and continues to eat.

Gareth began to think about this. "You know, Flippy, I'm going to get to the bottom of this dammit!..." his statement was met with a growl of his stomach. "...AFTER a couple of sammitches."  

[Uncle Sciz]

"If you can even eat after hearing that," Sciz said, tossing what he was eating aside. "Although, the Unggoy race as a whole interests me. Why did your race decide to join the covenant anyways?"

Briar smiled and rolled her eyes. She was always entertained by the boys' conversations, and she had a feeling that adding Flip-Yap to the mix was going to make things a hell of a lot more intersting.
"Yeah," she said in a smooth, sarcastic tone, "enlighten us with your ever-expanding knowledge."  

[Fenrir Shade]

"Oh, well, we are very week as you know, and when the already formed covenant of so many species came to us when we were at our weakest, we gladly joined. But we were sent into combat without weapons or armor, and we didn't like it. So we rebelled. And we were defeated. But we showed that we weren't useless, and we were given weapons and armor. We are still the lowest rank in the Covenant, but we have better standing than before." says the Grunt, happily twiddling his thumbs.
