The three raiders whipped about to face the explosion's origin, ash now covering their backsides, hair singed, hearing impaired for the moment. The closest one immediately jumped forward, to run around the blazing inferno that was once a simple building, eyes trained on the center of the wreckage. The other two scattered to the insides of several non-lit buildings, one of which was the church since they hadn't gone that far on their lighting.
Elsewhere, one of the two cloaked beings hit the other side of the village, popping out from a building's shadow towards the flyer. The horse and its rider had managed to reached the UHV back-up, but they were struggling to get the horse to move to the interior space, despite the large amount of such. Nickering and neighing, it would be relatively easy for the cloaked being to forgo being entirely silent, at the expense of being within the shadows.

Okabe examined what was going on now... as the raiders broke up, he left it to his clay figure at that point. The other Clay mole already headed over towards the direction of the two that scattered off. The Clay clone would confront the first raider who stayed around the explosion. From the shadows of under one of the buildings held up by pillars over the flooded grounds, Okabe spoke out to him "Who are you, what are you doing here? Careful how you answer, it'll be the difference of a lifetime..." Okabe spoke loudly and boldly, however his voice was not angered or excited... It was monotonous and powerful... Like a judge or person of law.
Elsewhere Okabe looked back to where the UHV members were being loaded far off. Okabe looked up to the sky and his Clay bird was already enroute to check on them, if they were in trouble it would intervene, it was no good... then it would detonate in the air. Okabe glance along the rooftops, he felt like he was missing something, but he did not know where to look... Okabe began to run along the roof top of the church back to the UHV loader. He brought his hand up and Shunshin'd back tot he location of the ship. He knew if the raiders were aggressive.. the Clone would detonate and all of them would die, and if they were guilty... then the entire Shinto Village would be no more. The winds of the Explosive carriage slowed down and Okabe caught the kunai in hand. He looked to the UHV grunts and spoke "Your slower than I expected."

"Someone lives in this hell hole?!" Okabe's clone's aggressor responded, flinging a very slightly larger than normal kunai towards the sound shinobi as he hopped back two steps to a halt. "Taste my steel!" Okabe's clone's attempt to hold a conversation with the raider fell short, as the man was only in the mood for the worst actions in life. From the shadows--one from the church--several wires shot out and around the surrounding buildings, wrapping themselves around corners as if guided towards their opponent. (Ayatsuito no Jutsu x4 wires) Their sole purpose to attempt to restrain him, either before the strange kunai or after, the wires did not discern.
Outside the village, Okabe's clay bird would have to intervene, as the bulky, shrouded raider was nearly caught up to its prey. The UHV grunts, however, were still busy when the sound shinobi made his comment. One of the newest recruits scrunched his face up, stating with a southern drawl, "This armor isn't light. Try one of the batteries." (tossing an extra UHV tech battery to Okabe, per your contest reward request) As Okabe caught it, the raider entered the grove. Making several handsigns, from Okabe's view, the raider had summoned a huge ball of fire from the sky to envelope the flyer, the grunts, Jim-Bo the War Horse, Ricky, and Okabe. Quickly, it would engulf the area. If Okabe wasn't looking directly at the grunts, he would miss their telltale signs of chakra dispersal, their faces going from shear terror to one of confusion, and then his own battery going off, dissipating the genjutsu. This was the perfect time to feign still being affected & retaliate, as the battery would require 8 hours to recharge, and the raiders were obviously not used to the UHV.

The Clay Clone saw the kunai come towards him and the clone moved his head to the side, the kunai swung past, and cut off some of the hair off of the Clone. It looked like hair but as it hit the ground, it turned to mush; clay. The wires shot out and were executed perfectly, They wrapped around the clones neck and his torso, tying his body up and unable to move. The Clay clone struggled to speak, playing along as the mole got into place. "Shameful display of anger really..." The Clone flexed until the wires began to cut in, and then they tightened and they phased into the body of the clone. The clone looked at the raider ahead of him and with his mask on and his solid stare he spoke again, as some of his features began to sag and lump. "Who I am doesn't matter... You're Dead."
The mole underneath the building with the two raiders detonated at the end of his sentence and the Church went up in flames. The clone felt the wires slack and began to turn viscous, pulling onto the wires to see if he could possibly pull in anything useful or the raiders themselves. The clay clone did not get closer to the remaining raider in sight, instead he pulled out a large clump of clay, the mass flicked into the air and the clone caught it, he then opened his mouth and devoured the mass of clay. He swallowed it and looked to the raider and smiled "Because in true... fair, judgement. One would say you threw the first punch." The clone smirked and the side of him began to expand slightly, "Learn from the past, cause you have no future..." - Learning Suicide Bombing Clone -
The Clay bird dove down at the bulky shrouded figure and would try to explode right on top of the target, to the explosion and the shock wave would push them into the ground.
Okabe looked at the recruit and couldn't believe his eyes 'Dear god where were these people coming from?!' As the recruit passed him a UHV battery, he looked over to a brush nearby, but a commotion happened! He looked up to the airship and saw it was up in flames, he felt remorse for the soldiers, now they were stuck here. He looked down to the other UHV grunts, and saw the signs of chakra dispersal and the battery went off. The ball of flame disappeared and Okabe glanced back over at the source. 'There is a target...' He glanced up to the Clay bird in the sky and it was right where it needed to be. One of Okabe's hands slowly grabbed hold of the Clay Kunai in his pouch, the enemy was now at their Transport, this wasn't good. Okabe grunted in anger slightly and got ready turned as the bird dove.

This technique requires an adept usage of verbal tricks; with this foundation of using many "arts" to trifle with the enemy, it certainly fulfills its purpose. Nendo Bunshin no Jutsu [ Clay Clone Technique ] Rank: A Description: Above all other clone techniques, this one functions with a powerful dual-role. It acts as a substitute and a trap for capturing the enemy. Made from clay, this clone can take attacks and capture the enemy by taking them into its own body. The clone shows its natural shape and gray color the instant it succumbs to an attack. When a weapon or limb makes contact, the clay will become more viscous, attempting to absorb and constrict the attacker. If exploding clay is added to the clone, it can be made to detonate after capturing its target. The explosion upon the shrouded figure stripped him of both it and the first layer of shell, exposing an elaborate puppet body. Fake layers of skin clattering to the ground as he fell to a quadruped position, he raised a scorpion-like tail, curling it high over his body. The grunts, though of low rank, held merciless crossbows. A volley of bolts flew into the next layer of the once shrouded puppet, turning him into a pincushion, bolts sticking out in all sorts of directions. Too close for comfort, the man side jumped into a thicket of bamboo, for cover. Within the dense, dark shoots, only the eerie click-clacks of his form could be heard, echoing.
The church's demise signaled that two of the raiders would now be unaccounted for, and this worried the third one. It was even more so when his wire began to meld into the person standing before him. Who ate clay these days, he thought. Tugging on the wire more, he'd back up and around a corner of the fire, using the corner as a hard pulley. If the strangely deforming man didn't go flying, the raider was at least hoping to retrieve his wire.
Inside the transport, the pilot looked down at a display. Shaking his head, he called out to the grunt closest by the door. This grunt was in fact the escapee and his horse, now inside the flyer, to which they relayed the message to those standing just outside. "We've been spotted by the Kirigakure oinin. Hurry up here and let's get going!"

The atmosphere in this place was thick and palpable. Jae could almost taste it on her tongue. Lifting her chin, she seemed to 'scent the air'. The bird sage was on high alert now, her pupils dilated in aw to the creepy setting. Turning her head she glanced at Suoh in her peripherals to make a small note that he was still there. Just because she didn't really care for his added presence didn't mean she was remiss in keeping tally of where he was. If she needed to use him she had to make sure she knew where he was to begin with. Looking away from him she focused on a location further out. Did she hear something? If it was the UHV she didn't want to let them get away nor did she want them to know they were there until she deemed it in her favor to announce her presence. Cautiously, she ventured further into the flooded ghost village.

When and how Sypher had appeared beside Jae wasn't obvious or even apparent until he stretched out his fingers to lightly touch the inside of her elbow, a 'stop' motion (OoC: Yes, I am dropping in out of nowhere, bite me.). He could feel the flying ship that Yuri had mentioned, his senses spreading out around him to stretch as far as he could reach them "Caution is not my strong suit." he confided in cool tones, his chakra beginning to rise and crush around him in a thick, choking cloud "Neither, is patience." his hand moved, a focus of handsigns that caused a surge around them, dragging the water into a form. The waterfall wasn't big enough to take the ship down but as it surged forward, gaining water, speed and strength, it was enough that when it struck, any standing freely would be thrown overboard in the wave. The water rose as it got close and then in a surge of power, it threw itself at the ship, slamming into the port (left) side of the ship.

[[Ooc:: I am sorry for this post taking so long to update, I have had tendonitis for the past month and a half in my right wrist, and I have not been able to write due to stressing and pains when typing. It's finally getting a bit better, so I will try to stay on top of posting now.]]
As the bird detonated above the Puppet, blasting away it concealment. The grunts took no time to react and fired upon the puppet, it wouldn't 'kill' the contraption, but if it was a human, it definitely would have been end game. The machine got up and ran off into the thicket, however Okabe was not done with it yet. Gripping the kunai tightly, with his other hand he performed a handsign and Fuuton Chakra came flowing out and brushed onto the sides of the kunai. Okabe was going to use the Projectile Control Technique, and as he chucked the clay kunai, it flew threw the air and as it entered the forest of bamboo, Okabe brought his hand up and said the ignition word. "Katsu."
A light would burst out from the forest and the explosion would level the bamboo, snapping some shoots while breaking others. Debris flew and the puppet was not directly in Okabe's vision, however after he threw the blade, he knew that he had no time to deal with a damn puppet. The Kirigakure Oinin were coming... and they would kill these Grunts, Okabe could not let that happen. As the pause in action happened I felt the air go thick and humid, like rain had drenched the entire village. Little did Okabe know this was the Mizukage's aura, and maybe if he had known that, he would have acted differently then what he was going to now. The sound of crashing water caught his attention and I glanced over, seeing the wave incoming. My eyes widened and I looked back at the grunts on the airship. "GO! I'll hold them off."
Okabe clapped his hands together and knew there was one thing that would studder this wave... The clay clone.
The clone was still growing bigger and bigger, and as the last raider began to worry. The clone no longer really resembled anything human as the skin took on the pigment of the earthy material it was made of. As the wire was pulled on, it was removed and slid out of the clay clone, however the last strand was held tightly in the mass. Okabe's face was stretched, his cheeks were huge and still growing in size, and his hair molded with his head as the clone become more like clay. "In mere seconds you will understand what impudence will be gifted, what is a world or life worth, when they're oblivious to the beauty they ruin in it!" The clone grinned and felt the ignition grow as the chakra was surged forwards. "Oh well, it was inevitable."
"Katsu."
With the ignition chakra and handsign given by the real Okabe, the Clay clone ignited and exploded with grand explosive proportions, much greater than any of the C1 Clay Dolls. The blast threw building close to the blast down, up, and away at high velocities, ripping them apart and destroying a large mass of the village, if not damaging it all.
Okabe was out of the blast range and dashed out of the way of the waters from Sypher and hid away in the trees. They would chase him if they found out about his whereabouts... Okabe looked down at the ground and his vision went partially blurry. He brought a hand up to his face and felt light headed, he was using to much chakra, how much longer could he keep this up? Okabe shook his head and focused hard, the chakra that was in the air was thick, it was almost crushing him down to the ground now that he was low on his own. He tried to regain focus and stuck both his hand into the clay pouches on his sides, the mouths beginning to eat clay again. He was readying an attack, however he was in no haste to retaliate.

Those on board now stumbled from the cumulative efforts for defense, the ship swaying dangerously in the air. Rocking to and fro, it drifted sideways along the ground, mowed over some broken, medium-sized bamboo shoots, into the well kunai studded side of an escaping puppet man, and over the flooded village. The puppet man, dazed from being struck by kunai and the side of a floating ship, scurried away dazedly as a different shadow clung itself to the top of the ship, for dear life. Hanging low still, the blue hue-crackled ship drifted over the remains of the church, gently gaining a bit of stability and altitude, though slowly. Kaileer and Inka would both recognize the materials lining the underside, if they were here, as they had interacted with an identical substance in the Underground.
The resulting explosion from the massive clay doll destroyed much of the village, throwing water and ruins in a backlash that rushed towards Sypher and Jae. Without hesitation, Sypher dropped, one palm connecting with the ground, the thick atmosphere still sucking at the air in the area. As the debris flew at them, shattered rocks, chunks of earth and bits of ground surged upward in a swirling shield. Parts of the debris even abruptly stopped as his jutsu took control, creating a massive half circle against the rush. Standing from his kneeling position, Sypher gave the wall a half affectionate smile and glanced at Jae "If you can, I'll leave the ship to you." something was itching at the borders of his senses. His Resolution (subclass discipline) wasn't enough to get any information from whatever or whoever had attacked but that was easily remedied. With a bow to Jae, Sypher vanished in a spray of mist that caused the half circle to crumble, leaving Jae free to go after the ship. His boots crunched on bent leaves and fallen branches as Sypher reappeared in the wooded area on the edge of the shrine's boundaries. He lifted his head, breathing in, his senses spiraling out from around him. The heavy atmosphere of his chakra was still primed and prepared for him to pull on, making the air stagnant and hard to breathe. He wasn't sure what his senses would find but anyone stupid enough to attack him when he was this alert would not live to regret their actions.
((Azzuro- D: Get a better hand! er.....get better, hand? ><' Anyways, Sypher would be about a half mile from Okabe at the moment. I'll let you determine if he can feel him or not.))

As Sypher left the damaged village and came into the forest, Okabe felt the air grow heavier then ever... he looked at the ground and paced his thoughts for a moment. This chakra, it rivals Suoh's.... who does it belong too... Okabe could not sense the direction of the chakra he felt, it was everywhere for him, and as his eyes darted from side to side, hoping he would not see the owner of the aura.
The clay mouths ate away at the chakra infused clay, and Okabe felt himself grow weaker even more. The UHV grunts were on their own, Okabe had other things to worry about. He stood up and brought his palms up, the mouths still chewing. The mouths opened and the tongues pushed out while holding two kunai; one in each hand. Okabe switched both kunai to his left hand and performed a handsign, the clay kunai's poofed in a cloud of smoke and were exact replica's of his other serrated kunai, kunai that were special to Suoh before they were Okabes. Okabe placed them into his kunai pouch and put them in a separate area so he would not mistake it for a regular one.
I can't stay stationary, that chakra source will find me. My only luck is to find it first. Okabe was still quite naive, he was a Chuunin, however he was not a Kage like Sypher. Sypher would sense Okabe the moment he'd step in his range. Okabe was travelling through the trees dashing through trying to spot anyone... He was silent and quiet, but as he went one way, the aura weakened, so he went towards the chakra source. The source grew denser and denser, and Okabe paused. He stepped onto a tree branch large enough to hold him and his eyes narrowed, he knelled down and took deep breaths. Okabe examined his hands, once again gloved; his hands were shaking, and he felt cold, he swallowed deeply and came to a conclusion as he stared into the forest ahead... I am not hunting an Oinin, this person is much stronger than a simple ninja...

Kunai no Hensō o Bakuhatsu [ Exploding Kunai Disguise ] x2 Rank: C Element: Bakuton & Maruton Description: Okabe will feed clay to one of his mouths and give the clay explosive chakra, he will then mold it into the shape of a kunai. After the clay is formed, he will form a handsign and the clay kunai will transform into an exact duplicate of any other of Okabe's kunai's. This clay kunai is considered to work like any other projectile and is treated as a kunai. Once thrown, Okabe can bring up his handsign and make the kunai explode at any point of it's travel, or after. Okabe takes [1] post to produce one kunai, he must know [ C1 ] and if the kunai comes into contact with fire or any Katon jutsu, of C rank or higher it will immediately explode.
Sypher came to a stop, booted feet spread outward as he lifted his chin, breathing in. Spiraling out, his senses didn't have to search far for a chakra source to become stronger and get closer Ah. Am I being hunted? the thought was highly amusing and he smiled a little before turning and starting to walk swiftly towards the chakra. Mapping the pattern, he matched the speed that Okabe was using, increasing his stride to a dart, going from the ground and off the trees as he went. Through it all, he made not a sound, barely touching leaves but dragging the cloud of chakra with him. It was thickest near him and so as Sypher approached it would feel like moving through sludge...but then he abruptly pulled it tighter to him. The entire swampy mash of chakra would vanish from the area as Sypher focused on his center, leaving the stranger (Okabe) suddenly empty of a point of reference. And as soon as he'd accomplished that, Sypher stopped moving forward, coming to a slow stop on a tree only a few dozen yards from where the strange nin (Okabe) stood as well. He couldn't see the man through the trees foliage but his senses told him more than enough and he adjusted his stance on the branch "I'm not accurately familiar with the Bakuton bloodline." he mused, loud enough to carry to the stranger (Okabe) "But by all means, continue your advance." he pressed his hand into the tree and felt his chakra begin to stir again but he held back. He wasn't using it and he didn't need it spinning around him so for now, it flowed around him "I'm going to assume from that clay monstrosity and that particular bloodline that you're of the main lineage." his musings might annoy or frighten this enemy into chase...and Sypher wanted a good chase. Unfortunately for Okabe's assumptions, he was correct on only one part. No, Sypher was not an Oinin...he was a former Oinin of Kumogakure, second only to the former Kein Uchiha in skill and well versed in playing games of cat and mouse "Can you answer me, Bakuton? What reason do you have for being so close to my home?" his tone turned hard and serious, a hint of anger in it.

As soon as Okabe thought about his prey, he'd began to feel more like the prey in this situation than the other way around. In the Shinobi world there is no food chain, there was no waiting or letting time take over. If a predator or hunter stops in the hunt, he has the danger of becoming the prey... Okabe felt the chakra sludge in like an amoeba around his 'hunter' now and Okabe, it was growing hard to breath and as his vision began to shake all of the sudden, in an instant it was gone. The air around him lifted and Okabe snapped back to his normal self and was shocked! It disappeared...! As Sypher grew closer, Okabe looked around and darted into a greatly sized tree that resembled a giant willow tree. Its branched cascaded like arches of a gothic church and covered everything inside in a curtain of leaves. He knew that this curtain of leaves was all that would be between him and the other in a moment.
As a voice penetrated the trees foliage, Okabe felt a sweat drop down his forehead and knew his verbal talents would have to shine more than ever at this moment. The voice was strong and loud, the vocalist was yelling, so he was not at the leaves, this was good... for now. Neither of them knew what the other would do, however after experiencing the chakra that this man had was enough for Okabe to know... that an offensive retaliation would end in his death. Dammit... he has read my movements completely, who is this man...? His eyes narrowed and Okabe stood up looking out at the leaves, who stood on the other side?
As Sypher spoke and instilled his part, Okabe stayed silent and resolute as he expanded his mind to think of ways this would go. He had to perceive better than the other, or else he would die. The man knew of his Bakuton bloodline, so he would know the initial way of attack Okabe had, it was also his most powerful. As he was asked if he could answer, Okabe heard the tone of the voice and took a deep breath, walking up to the foliage that was hiding him. He peered through a small space between the hundred of branches falling to the ground below and tried to spot his assailant. "Answering someone is a simple task, of course I can." Okabe's speech was calm and collected, however his tone was cheeky... was he trying to anger the other man? "My mission and reason for being close to your home holds no affiliation to any village, just to a deceased man and his rival, as he'd call him." Okabe's voice was much more polite now, as he spoke and announced his reason. He had come here with the UHV grunts, and was here to pick them up; yes. He had fought the raiders and destroyed most of the Shinto Village; yes. But Okabe was a 'patient hunter' he would not, just 'wait' like a hunter that would to become prey, he would cover his patience and hunting ability with vigilance and lies... just like how his mentor had taught him.

This poor remnant of a village just can't catch a break... She thought to herself, watching the huge creature explode. The village, already nothing but flooded ruins, was hit even more harshly than the elements. Good thing they had hung back and not charged in. Looking to Sypher, she nodded once as he informed her that the ship was being left to her devices. Looking away from him she wasted no time, sparring him no glance afterward. Biting down on the tip of her thumb until she drew blood, she thrust her hand in the ground before her. In that crouched position she watched the intricate symbols swirl into existence on the ground and on her body.
A plume of smoke shot up and out of the top of it a small owl hovered above Jae's head. Standing tall she looked up at it, holding out her arm in offering of a perch. The owl accepted and settled on her forearm, talons digging in lightly into her arm. "We have work to do." She muttered, gently stroking Karu's feathers. The owl seemed to shrink in on itself before stretching out it's neck. "Whooo?" Jae pointed to the ship above them, the pink haired bird sage trying to judge the distance from the ground to the ship. It was a ways away. Karu looked miffed suddenly, the bird digging it's claws in deeper into Jae's forearm. He was agitated with his charge. He knew that this was just another one of her reckless acts. Acts that were going to put her life at risk. Sensing her friends reluctance to assist her she sighed. "It's not totally for my own selfish reasons. I am helping Kirigakure this time....and if you don't help...I will call them to help me." Jae warned, reminding Karu about the recent connection Jae had made with the sages of the bird clan. They were ruthless in battle and would cause more damage than probably helping. Puffing out his chest, Karu looked displeased but weighed both options heavily. Coming to a decision the small owl lifted upwards, flapping his wings as he activated a jutsu that would allow Jae to follow him into the skies.
Feeling weightless she lifted into the sky, hovering with Karu for a moment before shooting off into the sky. She was flying fast, her muscles tensed and burning from the exertion. Karu caught up to her, the owl now slightly bigger in size than before in order to keep up with Jae's speeds. "Let's bring the furry of the winds down on them..." Jae ordered, Karu pausing and flapping his wings vigorously has he activated his chakra. The clouds overhead seemed to swirl together, their color darkening with each swirling rotation of wind that seemed to gather them together. Jae watched, hovering with Karu beside her as the cloud began to suddenly streak out for the earth. As if a gray cloudy finger was trying to touch the ground. All at once the winds began to howl, the tornado touching down the earth and building in girth quickly. It headed directly for the ship, Jae's gaze bright as she waited.
Sypher's head turned as Okabe moved, watching the chakra signature without moving from his branch. For several minutes, he just analyzed the signature, reading it like one would read a report 'Chuunin with a decent amount of power.' Sypher thought, lifting his chin a bit. As for the man's words...Sypher stepped off his branch and down to another, moving from tree to tree without stirring the leaves. He moved around, climbing and stepping down to branches as he thought. The reply was a little....off to him. It didn't sound like he was part of the events currently attacking Kirigakure but it wasn't a clean reply either. Leaning against the trunk of a heavy oak, Sypher eyed the giant willow only a few dozen feet below him, still reading Okabe's chakra "And what would this dead man and his rival have to do with Kirigakure?" he mused, his voice no longer raised. He didn't have to shout anymore, being close enough that Okabe need only look up from his little spy hole to see him "And who are they, that you risk your life to intrude where you aren't welcome?" his chakra began to spiral again as he prepared to defend himself in case this chuunin decided to attack.
