Delira's mouth began to salivate as she listened to the sound of the deer's last breath. It was music to her ears to hear the crunch and snap of the trachea. A shudder went through her body and her eyes took on a wild sort of gleam and she reached out and took Ka'lak's paw in her.

"Ohh...Delira has found a prize in Ka'lak!" she delighted, "She will keep him always."

In Delira's mind, this was completely true. Her obsession with Ka'lak was not to be taken lightly, though some might. She had been hidden away for so long, that many had no idea how messed up her little mind really was. When she looked at Ka'lak, she saw a male who would be honest with her about everything and love her completely. It didn't matter that things like this didn't happen very often in the minds and hearts of Black Spiral Dancers. In Delira's mind, they were bound to one another forever.

Delira reached down to where the deer's head lay. Its dark eyes stared blankly back at her, wide and terrified. She could see her reflection in them, and she saw herself as a good mate to her Ka'lak, and imagined herself a mother to his cubs. Ohh the cubs they could make. Delira smiled inwardly and reached down for the eye. With some difficulty, she plucked the thing from its socket and held it up so that Ka'lak could be seen in the reflection behind her. It was a good image, and she wished to keep it with her forever...so she popped the wet orb into her mouth and savored it.

There was a sick pleasure felt in bringing about the death of the deer. It was almost feral in nature... but easily controlled, the sudden coursing through Delira's body before she touched him bringing his mind back to its senses.

"And Ka'lak has found himself a prize in Delira, as well..." He hissed with as much sincerity a Spiral could muster. "Ka'lak will be her's forever! And she will be his!"

Unlike Delira, there was no real obsession harbored in Ka'lak's demented mind. He could only harbor respect and trust toward the one who became one at his side, her weaknesses steadily becoming her greatest strengths in his eyes.

"Ka'lak feels his Delira is growing stronger with each day.. growing stronger the longer Ka'lak stays near." He hissed, watching as she plucked the dark eye free of the deer, that sick sense of joy being felt yet again as she popped the moist organ into her mouth. He then tore the throat out of the dead animal, the blood soaked trachea finding itself sliding down his throat.

When the throat was ripped apart, the head of the animal lulled back. Delira laughed at it, and picked the thing up. Its antlers stretched upwards past her head as she studied the face without an eye.

"Delira will take the head home to Raven," she said, "Raven will like this very much."

She held up a menacingly sharp claw and used it to crudely carve Raven's name in the flesh of the animal. She looked pleased with what she had done, and set the trophy down to go back to the food on the ground. She tore off a piece of flesh and began ripping pieces of with her teeth. The blood was warm on her face and paws, and helped warm her from the morning's chill.

"Delira is happy Ka'lak came to make this hive. Delira will be happier when it grows. It will be a good hive."

There was a evil cackle that escaped Ka'lak as Delira snatched the severed head from the ground. Though she seemed a timid thing when he first came upon their little Hive, now she was starting to become a more idle "mate" for him.

"Tis a shame Raven could not join us on this hunt.... Pleased with Delira she would be, I am quite assured." Ka'lak remarked as the name was so crudely carved into the skull.

"Yes. Together, Ka'lak and Delira will grow the Hive! Together, we shall make it stronger than it already is." There was a hiss that escaped him, a chunk of flesh ripped clean off the deer, blood trickling down from the corners of his mouth as he devoured the warm meat.

"Pleased at its new found strength Raven shall be, will she not?"

Delira's expression changed and she looked up at Ka'lak with sadness in her eyes.

"Delira hopes that she will be pleased...Delira wants Raven to be pleased with her."

Delira's rebellion since Ka'lak had come had been a sore topic between her and her sister. Raven, ever the more rational of the two, was always chiding Delira about her actions and her boldness. Raven had always taught Delira to be quiet and go unnoticed, and Delira knew that she feared punishment from the main hive.

"When the hive is big and strong, then Raven will be proud of Delira...right?"
